Nokia C1 VS Nokia E1: Android smartphone battle
Nokia is coming back, which promises many good smartphones will be on shelves next year. Two potential ones are Nokia C1 and Nokia E1, so we want to put them into a comparison to sew which one can be more like the next legend of the firm: Nokia C1 VS Nokia E1.
They are both said to be Nokia Android-based smartphones when the Giant comes back in 2016 after years of absence and they seem to be mid-rangers helping Nokia to get closer to consumers who want affordable devices…
Let’s take a closer look at both device.
Nokia C1 VS Nokia E1: Specs and Prices
A render image of Nokia C1 smartphone was first spotted in early September 2015, which made Nokia fans more excited than ever. Nokia C1 is also mentioned as the first ever Nokia Android smartphone. Some Nokia C1 specs rumored by now include: a handy 5-inch display, 2GB RAM, and 16GB of storage. The Nokia C1 cameras will hopefully be 8MP and 5MP or higher.
We have been guessing that the Nokia C1 price in Philippines at launch date in 2016 will be in our most favorite category: sub PHP 15K.
In case of Nokia E1, its specs will probably include a 2.3GHz Intel 64-bit Atom processor, PowerVR G6430 graphics, and a 4.95-inch Full HD IPS display (which is the same as C1). In addition, 2GB of RAM (the same), 32GB of internal storage (bigger than C1), and a 2,700 mAh battery will be on-board, too. As for the camera, E1 may have a combo of a 20MP rear and 5MP front-facing shooter, which is definitely better than C1.
About the Nokia E1 price, we assume that with such Nokia E1 specs and look, E1 may be priced at around PHP 12K. If so, Nokia E1 can beat Nokia C1.
Nokia C1 VS Lumia 950XL: Different designs but beautiful
Looking at the leaked pic of Nokia C1, we are quite impressed with its design. Four corners are rounded but not too rounded. The bezels are super slim and maybe made of plastic, yet not for sure now. On the other hand, Nokia E1 comes with a metal body and some nice curved borders. They are surely different in the look, so you have more choices. Then, which one do you prefer?
Closing note
Whether coming up or already available, both Nokia C1 and Nokia E1 are highly anticipated devices. They are loved and expected. No matter what strategies the company is having, we just want to say that please come soon!
Nokia 1100 smartphone running on Android OS – A Legend-to-be!
12 years ago, in late 2003, Nokia 1100 launch occurred, introducing a basic phone that had no camera or touch screen but was a legend. And next year, Nokia 1100 may return also yet in a totally new shape, body, and with new features: Nokia 110 smartphone!
Yes, we are really saying that. The Nokia 1100 smartphone we would like to introduce to you today is made by a designer called Jermaine Smit, based on the legendary basic phone Nokia 1100.
Nokia 1100 Specs
Accordingly, the new version will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system, but we hope it will be updated to the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. Besides, the handset will be likely to sport a MediaTek processor, which is absolutely a good choice since Snapdragon chips are often complained about heating issue, especially the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset. Apart from those details, some sources mentioned that other Nokia 1100 smartphone specs may include a Quad HD or at least Full HD display, 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM, and 3,500 – 4,000 mAh battery. They are all the coolest features for a smartphone on the market now!
Nokia 1100 Design
As for the look, Jermaine Smit’s Nokia 1100 smartphone ver has a stylized back cover from the original Nokia 1100. In general, it is beautiful with super slim bezels and no physical home button on the front surface. And the Android OS seems pretty good on the phone, too. Can’t wait to see it in 2016!
Nokia 1100 price and availability
Well, we are in the last months of 2015 and 2016 is coming, which means the time Nokia comes back is also very close. A lot of Nokia smartphones have been suggested and they are so great, including Nokia 1100 smartphone. Though the its design and some specifications have been revealed, Nokia 1100 price and availability are still unknown for now. We hope to hear more about it soon in the next months!
4 awesome Nokia smartphone concepts to come in 2016 – PART 2
Continue the “4 awesome Nokia smartphone concepts to come in 2016”, today we would like to introduce 5 more concepts to you! They all come with appealing designs and specs that will absolutely make you fall in love with Nokia Smartphones once again. With the fast development of technology, the chance for such concepts to be considered and brought into live by Nokia is much higher. They can even be the secret weapons that Nokia will use to “attack” mobile market in 2016. Check them out now!
1. Nokia Lumia Play: A special gift for gamers
Nokia Lumia Play specs:
The Play is powered by Microsoft XBOX technology and can be used as a gamepad with an XBOX 360 console. Other features of the Nokia Lumia Play are a quad-core CPU, 2 GB of RAM paired with 32 GB of internal storage (expandable up to 64 GB), and a display with high definition, 1136 x 640 resolution and Gorilla Glass.
As for the camera, there are a 10 MP Full HD rear and a 5 MP front-facing snapper. Though this is not a camera-centric smartphone, we hope Nokia can equip the main shooter with 13 MP or more. Also, Lumia Play is said to support NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, and Wi-Fi, and come with 5 different color options.
2. Nokia 3D: “A modern smartphone user interface”
This is a Nokia smartphone that is not only available for your viewing pleasure but also capable of 3D looks. It is considered as a device coming with beauty elements of Finnish nature. Though the design is quite simple, we still can see the taste of a premium machine. According to the designer, it would be equipped with “a modern smartphone user interface.”
3. Nokia 701: The comeback of Windows Phone
Some Nokia 701 specs are likely to include a quad-core lower end CPU, 1 GB of RAM, 8 or 16 GB of internal storage (not knowing if it can be expanded or not) and a 5 MP camera. If so, its specifications are not really attractive, huh? As a result, the price has to be the main selling key. However, there is no detail for that! Or on the contrary, in case of being able to make it come true, Nokia should put some things like 2 GB RAM, 5 MP front, 13 MP rear shooter, etc. in and Nokia 701 will be a good deal!
4. Nokia McLaren: Whooping 50MP Pureview
Nokia McLaren is a beautiful smartphone concept proposed by Nokia when still under the contract with Microsoft. It was supposed to come with super fascinating specs: a handy 5-inch screen, premium 3D Touch ID and an amazing 50MP ZEISS Pureview camera sensor!
However, the device was later cancelled by Microsoft, so not many people have known about it any further. It would be an absolutely awesome smartphone if besides the 50MP camera, it could go with huge RAM and long battery also such as 6GB of RAM (for 2016, yes) and at least 4000 mAH battery!
* Nokia Fit: Tiny but mighty
The Nokia fit is a basic phone that can only operate phone calls and texting. The buttons and control are within easy reach (since everything is on your finger, what is not easy then?). They are all located either on the top or on the bottom of the device. Vibrations would be what you can expect to realize incoming calls or new text messages. So it is totally silent and perfect for a serious mission.
Nokia Smartphones Malaysia 2016 – Conclusion
What do you think about those Nokia smartphones? Is there any other favorite device you would want Nokia to bring to real life in 2016? Since Microsoft Mobile’s contract with Nokia is ending, we might see one of the above handsets very soon!
“Nokia Returns” built with Android OS and 5.2-inch 2K screen
Nokia is coming to town… I mean they are coming back in 2016, promising a good year for them and for us as well. Things will be much better if a high-end smartphone released by Nokia runs on Android operating system like the one we are going to look at today: Nokia Returns.
NOKIA RETURNS Design
Please note that Nokia Returns is the name of the phone perhaps in order to mark the company’s comeback next year. It is designed by Chacko T. Kalacherry, a designer who is also expecting the Nokia to get back on track.
Looking at the pictures, I have to say that I see some slight Nexus vibe here. However, there are still some parts of the visual identity for Nokia products remained, which is absolutely a great thing to do. Covering the machine is a metal case with an outstanding Nokia logo placed right above the display.
While some current phones choose to have small secondary cameras, Nokia Returns wants to be different with a bigger one. Though, it still looks pretty on the front surface. Moreover, there is one interesting point related to its speakers. They are put on the sides instead of at the bottom of the device this time. As for the color options, you have two: one is silver and the other is yellow. Unfortunately, we are not able to see the back of the Returns.
NOKIA RETURNS Specs
I guess that it comes with a 5 or 5.2-inch screen and the display resolution should be Full HD or up to 2K as a trend nowadays. Apart from that, I have not been informed of any other Nokia Returns Specs yet. Nonetheless, for a beautiful flagship like this, Nokia would give it top features to make it awesome both inside and outside.
Nokia Returns smartphone: The choice for Nokia Comeback 2016?
Are you excited for Nokia comeback 2016, or for this very cool Nokia Returns phone? Put on your finger, press those button, and get ready for your next mission!
Nokia Lumia Play 2-in-1: Smartphone and Games console!
We are glad to say that another great idea for Nokia smartphone next year has just been spotted: Nokia Lumia Play. This is a super cool concept and design for a gaming phone developed by designer Antonio Celestino. Now, let’s get into details and you will decide whether it is fantastic or not!
It is easily to see that Nokia Lumia Play is a concept smartphone aiming at gaming. We figure it out not only from the name but also the design. It features sliding game pads which can improve or bring a totally new mobile gaming experience since you will not have to move your fingers on a not-very-spacious screen anymore.
That is for the look. Nokia Lumia Play specs are also mentioned as a powerful package of hardware capable of delivering stunning graphics which is pretty important for most gaming smartphones. Accordingly, the Play is powered by Microsoft XBOX technology. Moreover, you can use it as a gamepad with an XBOX 360 console. It is just like 2 in 1: a smartphone and a part of a games console. Cool!
Other features of the Nokia Lumia Play are a quad-core CPU, 2 GB of RAM paired with 32 GB of internal storage (expandable up to 64 GB via a microSD card), and a display with high definition, 1136 x 640 resolution and Gorilla Glass.
Last but not least, you may wonder what the operating system the Play runs on. Looking at the picture, it is quite sure that the OS is Windows Phone, and Windows 10 is the newest OS now, so what can be better than that?
Closing note
To conclude, honestly we are impressed with the design of Nokia Lumia Play most. Perhaps gaming smartphones are not very rare on the market but we believe the Play will draw a lot of attention. Do you agree?
Nokia Snake game reborn!
When smartphones were created and then have been so popular, we’ve seen a lot of interesting games like Angry Birds, Candy Crush Saga, etc. become famous perhaps thanks to many factors such as characters, display colors, sounds, simple rules, and so. However, before them, there was a much more simple game that ruled the mobile gaming scene. It is the Snake game.
Do you remember it? Did you ever feel addicted to it? Yes, we did. It was such an extremely annoying yet engaging game firstly included on a Nokia 6110 in 1997 and then on all Nokia phones. Talking about its developer, it was Taneli Armanto and he is also the one that has brought the Snake back. Accordingly, the new Snake version is dubbed Snake Rewind and available for Windows Phone, Android and iOS handsets.
“Taneli Armanto and Rumilus Design have joined forces to bring you Snake Rewind! Iconic elements and intuitive gameplay from the original Snake are combined with cool visual effects, sounds and many new features. The result is a game that will entertain, challenge and delight you time after time!” said Rumilus Design.
Some small changes have been applied but Snake Rewind still has the basic blueprint as the original one. We also should note that the graphics of the game is updated and equipped with music and sound effects. Fortunately, you can rewind time once your snake crashes any time. Sounds good?
As usual, Snake Rewind is free but in case of wanting to purchase in-app upgrades or some special items, you have to access to a “fruit store”. For a fuller list of Snake Rewind features, let’s take a look at the following part:
– Rewind the snake to continue playing after crashing
– Include 10 levels with fun and challenges; each level is built with distinct visual and music.
– Compete against other players or your friends on Facebook; scores and rankings will be listed on the leaderboards.
– Have a special thing for players if they are able to fill the whole screen with the snake
To recap, we are glad that some “traditional” games for phones like Snake game has a chance to come back. Maybe next year, when Nokia returns to producing mobiles, we will see Snake Rewind on all Nokia smartphones just like the good old days.
Nokia to test pCell offering 50x stronger than 4G LTE
Steve Perlman is Artemis Networks’ founder and CEO, well-known for several innovations in Internet, entertainment, multimedia, communications technologies and so on. Last year, he introduced pCell technology which is a mobile wireless tech allowing “equipped mobile devices within a pCell coverage area to each receive 100% of the available theoretical bandwidth capacity.”
This is more advanced than current mobile wireless data technologies such as 4G LTE which makes the data throughput decrease once more and more devices become active in the coverage area. On the other hand, pCell promises to offer about 50 times the 4G LTE network’s capacity while using the same wireless spectrum. So, we can see that this is such an great idea for a big place like a stadium.
However, when pCell was first announced, many people doubted it but lately, we have been informed that the tech is eventually going to be tested. And of course, its goal is still to increase wireless connectivity speed. Nonetheless, one special thing we have to tell you is that Artemis Networks will do the test with Nokia, starting next year, 2016, also the year which will see Nokia’s comeback.
Specifically, according to this new agreement, Nokia and Artemis will be working in conjunction with some wireless carriers to examine pCell in places like stadiums (as we mentioned above) since they will have a huge number of mobile devices needing a great amount of wireless network. In addition, it will work on existing Apple and Android smartphones.
“I have seen the demo … in a very controlled environment, but it seems to work,” said Hossein Moiin, Nokia Networks’ chief technology officer, in an interview. “What we’re doing next is demonstrating that it does work. I’m not 100 percent sold, but I’m a believer.”
Also, Nokia will connect pCell to the networking equipment that they propose and they have to make sure calls will not be dropped if the caller moves from a 4G LTE network into the stadium equipped with the pCell. At first, we have to admit we thought the concept of pCell is too good to be true. Yet, after knowing that Nokia is joining the game, we believe some positive results will be seen. Then, Nokia will even be backing the Artemis’s finance to develop the tech more and integrate it into current systems.
In the end, all of this somewhat shows Nokia is so ready for a big year!
Nokia McLaren with whooping 50MP Pureview is Lumia 1020’s successor
One of the most crucial business transactions that have taken place during the past years in the technology world was the purchase of Nokia by Microsoft. Ever since, Microsoft have removed the brand “Nokia” out of their mobile devices and started to sell under their name only.
This movement has left many users and Nokia fans in regret. However, it is going to end soon since we have heard about Nokia comeback in 2016 quite frequently these days, which means we will see Nokia name on smartphones soon.
But the purpose of this article is not to discuss about either Microsoft purchase or Nokia comeback. The main subject of this article is a very cool smartphone called Nokia McLaren.
Nokia McLaren concept by Nokia – what we know
Nokia McLaren is a beautiful smartphone concept proposed by Nokia when still under the contract with Microsoft. Based on the design, we can say that this phone was supposed to be the successor of Lumia 1020. The smartphone came with super fascinating specs: a handy 5-inch screen, premium 3D Touch ID and an amazing 50MP ZEISS Pureview camera sensor! WOW!
In terms of Nokia McLaren design. it has an elegant grayish body, plus a large circular camera module on the back, very typical of Microsoft camera-centric smartphones. The rears are square and the corners are straight. Just a perfect next-generation of Lumia 1020, that rumors even said it could be name the Lumia 1030.
The device was later cancelled by Microsoft, so not many people have known about it any further. Personally, I think that, it would make an absolutely awesome smartphone if besides the 50MP camera, it goes with huge RAM and long battery also. For example, my recipe of an ultimate Nokia McLaren smartphone specs includes 6GB of RAM (for 2016, yes), at least 4000 mAH battery and 50MP camera! Also, since it was designed for Microsoft, the phone runs on a Windows OS.
On the threshold of Nokia comeback 2016, this Nokia McLaren is definitely of my favorite vote for the GIANT to bring to life. A concept design by their company, now brought back by them – what would be better?

Nokia 701 is a Revamped Symbian Phone, Now With Windows Phone on Board
These days, we usually talk about how a Nokia smartphone can be like when running on Android operating system. But, how about other OSes? Maybe Windows one for example. Not a bad idea, right?! So, let’s talk about it yet more specifically: Nokia 701 running on Windows OS but with Revamped Symbian design.
Lately, we have been able to spot some news related to a Nokia smartphone concept called Nokia 701, designed by a designer named James Wood from London. Actually, he refreshed Nokia 700 Symbian phone and turned it into the Nokia 701 running Windows Phone. Interestingly, the idea is to combine the unique design of Nokia 700 and Windows Phone OS into a whole new machine, looking newer and more harmonious while some design traits of the original unit are still kept.
As for the Nokia 701 design, there is a metal frame together with a polycarbonate body. The handset’s top and bottom are rounded plus and the trademark Windows Phone buttons are placed on the front surface. According to the source, the designer made the Nokia 701 concept in SolidWorks and Keyshot and chose to put its speakers at the bottom of the device. Probably the the back side contains a removable case.
Or on the contrary, in case of being able to make it come true, Nokia should put some things like 2 GB RAM, 5 MP front, 13 MP rear shooter, etc. in and Nokia 701 will be a good deal 😀 .
In conclusion, for those who still like Windows phones, Nokia 701 with the Nokia 700 Revamped Symbian design and Windows OS can be your friend!
Nokia OZO confirmed to launch next month
OK, so maybe Nokia cannot make smartphones at the moment, they still can make other things, right?! Something like a virtual reality camera…
Nokia OZO confirmed to launch next month
We usually say that Nokia’s comeback will be next year, 2016, but it may be sooner if you count the coming product Nokia will bring us next month: Nokia OZO, which is the first ever commercially available virtual reality (VR) camera designed for professional creators and storytellers. Moreover, it is also said to be the first in Nokia Technologies’ digital media solutions portfolio.
According to Nokia, the OZO will be introduced on November 30, 2015. They also expects that VR experiences will be able to change how people communicate with each other and gain more information in the world. That is why they created OZO to bring a new standard of professionally capturing, editing and playback of cinematic VR contents.
Specifically, with this camera, you can capture stereoscopic 3D video in 360-degree panoramas. And if having VR headsets, you can watch videos with a feeling like you are in the middle of the action. It sounds great!
For other information like Nokia OZO price and availability, we have to wait until Nov 30, 2015 to get official details from the company.
In conclusion, it seems like Nokia is really starting their strategy to return to tech industry in general and perhaps smartphone area in particular. So, can Nokia OZO be a good beginning of their plan? Let’s wait and see!
Nokia E1 smartphone design includes specs
If Nokia Power Ranger can be a high-end smartphone to mark the Nokia’s comeback next year, Nokia E1 can be a mid-ranger helping Nokia get closer to consumers who want affordable devices…
Most of us know Microsoft took over the Nokia’s Lumia branding and Nokia would not produce smartphones until 2016 to complete the deal. And recently many sources have claimed that Nokia is working on designing new handsets for their comeback, which has been making a lot of people excited. While waiting for this, we found some interesting concepts that can inspire the company, from the high-end category to the low-end one. So, this time, let’s check out one belonging to mid-range: Nokia E1.
Our first impression is that it is very beautiful. Every inch is perfect and outstanding from older handsets of the manufacturer. Specifically, the phone was designed by a Russian designer named Dmitriy Mezenin. If the E1 comes true, it should be made with a metal body though plastic is not too bad. Besides some nice curving, Nokia E1 has extremely thin borders and looks like running Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with Nokia Z Launcher. Maybe Android 6.0 Marshmallow would be better!
Other Nokia E1 Specs will probably include a 2.3GHz Intel 64-bit Atom processor, PowerVR G6430 graphics, and a 4.95-inch Full HD IPS display. In addition, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a 2700 mAh battery will be on-board, too. As for the camera, a 20MP rear and 5MP front-facing shooter seem to be… enough 😀 .
About the Nokia E1 price, we assume that with such specifications and look, E1 may cost around $200-$250 (RM855-RM1,100). If so, Nokia E1 can beat a lot of rivals in its kind.
Anyhow, those are some features coming along with the render Nokia E1. Hopefully, the firm will consider it for their future’s products since it is so pretty, we have to say. Don’t you agree with us?
