Reports say Android OS is SAFER than iOS
Due to the openness of Android, you may think that it cannot prevent malware effectively but iOS can. However, today perhaps you will change your mind when reports say that Android is safer and more secure than iOS.
Android may be not 100% secure but iOS is even less secure!
This is a study conducted by Checkmarx and AppSec Labs. Accordingly, Apple’s App Store is filled with apps vulnerable to security if compared to Android apps. In other words, harmful elements can approach the phones with iOS more easily than the ones with Android OS.
Besides, the report of the study mentions a critical vulnerability is defined as one “that exposes a major security risk with a direct exploit (not needing user involvement). If exploited, the security threat might cause major damage to the application and/or have major impact on the company,” which hints that iOS is not a malware-proof operating system and unfortunately there is no safe OS in the world at the moment. Hackers even like being challenged by attacking big names known as unbreakable.
“With More Than 1.5 Million Apps Available In The Two Main App Stores, Apple And Android, And Hundreds Of Billions Of Downloads To Date, The Mobile Landscape Has Quickly Become The Main Playground For Hackers And Attackers.”
Thanks to the study, we now know 36 percent of Android apps and up to 40 percent of iOS apps were possibly dangerous. We would not be surprised if cases like InstaAgent on the App Store happen again (it was reported to have been leaking Instagram username and passwords, sending them to some remote server and publishing unauthorized images without their owners’ permission.
Android is better than iOS, but is it totally good news?
Well, actually we are not very happy to know this result even when it proves Android is better than iOS. We are caring more about users’ privacy once using their own handsets. Hopefully someday there will be a 100% secure OS for us to use!
Beast chip Samsung Exynos 8890 for Samsung Galaxy S7 has been launched!
Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip was released not long ago but we are afraid that it cannot be the only new and super powerful chip at the moment since Exynos 8890 (aka Exynos 8 Octa) chip which features Samsung custom CPU cores and advanced LTE has joined the race!
Beast chip Samsung Exynos 8890 for Samsung Galaxy S7!
Pretty like Snapdragon 820, the Exynos 8890 is a chip built on a 14-nm process. It means the distance between the chip’s microscopic components is 14 nanometers, making the power consumption and heat generation lower. Besides, the Exynos 8890 comes with 64-bit octa-core design, 4 Cortex A53 chips (the power efficient ones) and 4 Samsung’s custom cores (providing necessary grunt for intense apps). It is also known as the very first chip of Samsung to sport designed custom cores. According to Samsung, their Exynos 8 Octa gives 30% more performance and 10% better efficiency if compared to its predecessors.
In terms of graphics, it is handled by Mali-T880, supporting 4K and improving the performance up to 40% when compared with the GPU of the Samsung Exynos 7420. Moreover, this new Samsung chip also integrates with LTE Cat. 12/13 and no doubt that it is the first high-end chip in the house to sport built-in LTE. As a result, any product boasting the processor will have greater performance, efficiency, cost, and design. Specially, the LTE Cat. 12 is said to be able to download things with speeds of up to 600Mbps.
We can easily notice that Exynos 8890 is created as a beast chip and definitely will be used for flagship smartphones. So, it is pretty sure that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 is going to be launched with Exynos 8890 in early 2016. However, some sources claimed the Galaxy S7 could have a variant equipped with the Snapdragon 820, which somehow will show us the differences between the two strongest and latest chipsets.
Exynos 8890 availability
Exynos 8890 was introduced and its commercial production will begin by the end of 2015, according to a Korean report, promising there will be many fantastic devices coming, including Samsung Galaxy S7.

Top Selfie smartphones with LED Flash for 2016
Well, those are the best smartphones we found available on the shelves and they all come with LED flashes on the front surfaces. So, your selfies would be so beautiful!
Nokia Snow: Beautiful with aluminum body and Super AMOLED screen
Nokia Snow has a breathtakingly beautiful design. We bet it will become the most gorgeous smartphone from Nokia next year. Check it out now!
Nokia Snow Design – Queen of the Winter
For the comeback next year, we realize Nokia is really rich in designs and ideas. Besides many special powerful smartphones such as Nokia Power Ranger, Nokia Play, Nokia Morph, and so on, the company will probably welcome a new member called Nokia Snow, designed by Mohamed Magdy. We predict that Nokia Snow can win many titles for its beauty. Specifically, it has a glossy all-aluminum cover, which creates a feeling like we are holding snow in our hands. The soft lines around the phone’s body even makes it more premium. As for the rear, Nokia Snow together with its camera seems absolutely elegant, promising to satisfy those who are choosy.
Nokia Snow Specs – “I am tiny but mighty!”
Spec-wise, we’ve got some information saying Nokia Snow will feature a 4-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, which shows that the Snow will be perfectly fit your pocket. Besides, there will be a 3 GB of RAM, 16 or 32 GB of expandable storage, a 3,500mAh battery and a combo of a 5 MP front plus a 20 MP PureView rear camera with high-quality Carl Zeiss lens, autofocus and LED flash. Of course, Nokia can make it run on Android OS as their strategy to come back next year. As a result, for those who like having a true smartphone that is fit your hand and your pocket and strong as well, please wait for Nokia Snow. Perhaps it will help bring back the golden time of 4-inch handsets in 2016. Who knows?!
Nokia Snow Price and Availability
About the Nokia Snow price, though there has not been any official info released yet, we assume with such specs and design, $200-$250 can be reasonable. If so, Nokia Snow can defeat many competitors from other big brands like Samsung, Sony, Xiaomi, etc. at the same price range.
So, we are in the final months of 2015 and very close to 2016. It is also the time Nokia makes a comeback and we are looking forward to seeing Nokia Snow together with its fantastic siblings.
Top 4K display smartphones you need to know
In the near future, 4K display is predicted to become more common than now. We have already had many devices that can shoot 4K videos, so the displays on the phones should be improved to be able to replicate those videos perfectly. As a result, today, we would like introduce some of the pioneers in the 4K display smartphone trend to you!
1. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium
This is a member of the Sony Xperia Z5 series in this half of 2015. Specially, Z5 Premium is equipped with a very high display resolution, making it the world’s first 4K handset. No doubt that the Japanese technology giant has created a super strong competitor.
Spec-wise, Sony Xperia Z5 Premium uses a 5.5-inch 4K IPS LCD screen with 806 PPI, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip, 3GB RAM paired with 32GB of expandable storage, a fingerprint sensor built in the home button and Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. Also, it comes with a 3,430mAh battery and a combo of a normal 5MP front plus a wonderful 23MP rear camera (which supports recording 4K videos with 12,800 ISO, autofocus speed of 0.03s and 5X zoom without reducing much the pic’s quality).
2. Vivo Xplay 5S
Besides Sony, recently we have spotted 2 leaked images on the internet which are said to be the pictures of Vivo XPlay 5S, successor to Vivo XPlay 3S. Some expected Vivo XPlay 5S specs have also been revealed such as a Snapdragon 820 chip, a premium 4K display, a fingerprint sensor, a whooping 21MP main and an appealing 12MP secondary shooter which is absolutely perfect for those who love taking selfies. Although there was no word made for the Vivo Xplay 5S’s RAM capacity, we anticipate it would go with 6GB RAM. So, Sony Xperia Z5 Premium should be more careful when competing with this Chinese smartphone.
3. ZTE Star 3
Just a few months ago, some reports mentioned that there would be a ZTE product called ZTE Star 3. It would come with a 5.5-inch 2,160 x 3,840 pixels screen, giving the display a pixel density of 808 PPI. Also note that the bezel was listed at a mere 0.55mm, nearly edge-to-edge. However, after that, we have not heard anything related to ZTE Star 3 specs, price as well as launch date. So, we assume they are still working on it. Let’s wait and see!
4. Sharp smartphone
According to some sources, Sharp is about to join the 4K smartphone battle with a device boasting a 5.5-inch IGZO touchscreen with a massive 3,840 x 2,160 pixel resolution. Although the official information has not been made by Sharp yet, we are excited about the leaked detail of the machine’s display. It will probably have 806 PPI and include low energy consumption, sharp images, and borderless designs.
In conclusion, we hope that there would be more handsets to appear in this list next year. But before the time comes, what do you think about the above smartphones? Share with us your opinions!
BlackBerry Vienna: Next Android-powered BlackBerry generation
Do you still remember the Priv – aka BlackBerry’s first Android smartphone with the initial codename “BlackBerry Venice“. Despite mixed response and feed backs from users ever since the Priv was launched, it seems like BlackBerry is working on a second Android smartphone: the BlackBerry Vienna.
BlackBerry Vienna: 2nd Android smartphone with QWERTY keyboard
The BlackBerry Vienna’s first image was leaked recently, showing the signature QWERTY keyboard, looking quite similar to that of BlackBerry Passport or other common BlackBerry signature smartphones.
From what we see for now in the leaking images, BlackBerry Vienna seems to belong to the lower-end category, since it doesn’t feature the premium look like that of BlackBerry Venice, (or Priv). The rear bezels around BlackBerry Vienna are quite thick and we can easily spot 3 Android button just above the QWERTY keyboard. Rear and front cameras are very visible also.
Since this is just the very first leaks, I bet you also guess BlackBerry has no word announced about the Vienna for now. The company has not either confirmed the information, or revealed any further about the BlackBerry Vienna price and release date so we can have some expectation. But like we mentioned above, the BlackBerry Vienna is very possibly cheaper than that of the high-end BlackBerry Venice.
BlackBerry Vienna: the death is not for now!
After BlackBerry Venice (Priv) price was unveiled, many users was not happy with the heavy tag compare to those specs the handset has to offer. Many even bitterly said that, the Priv will be the last device ever BlackBerry produced, and that we are about to see the death of this company. But it seems like the company is not ready to give up yet. If the BlackBerry Vienna turns out to be true an Android device (the smartphone OS everyone loves) with reasonable price for trendy specs, then I bet users everywhere will be more happy to welcome and support.
Stay tuned, we will update when we get any further information about BlackBerry Vienna.
