Overall the HTC ONE M9 looks pretty much like the leaked renders we showed you before. Further the ad seems to focus on improved camera features, that come as part of HTC’s Sense 7.0. As you can see HTC replaced the Dual Cameras from the M8 and replaced them by what seems to be a 20MP Main Camera. For all fans of Selfies it looks like the Dual Main Camera of the HTC M8 will be the HTC ONE M9 Camera for Selfies.

The promotional video in the same clip, shows different themes for the new htc phone. As well you can notice significantly slimmer bezels. Overall the new HTC ONE M9 is definitely a premium phone again. With a 20MP Main Camera and Dual Front Camera, the new HTC ONE M9 has a lot going for itself in the camera department as well. Indeed it would make a lot of sense to promote the HTC ONE M9 camera centric smartphone, similiar to the Huawei Honor 6 Plus for example.

Sony might Exit from Smartphone Business says CEO Kazuo Hirai
We might have some bad news for fans of Sony Smartphones. Sony is planning a restructuring of the company to reach their goal to increase the net profit by 25x till 2018. At the moment it seems the biggest victim to the restructuring of the company will be the Sony Smartphone division.
This news is not coming totally unexpected though. Sony already had mutiple rounds of downsizing employees, they sold the VAIO laptop brand completely and spun of the Television Division.
If you have been following Sony’s development you know probably that the Sony Smartphone division has not been performing well. Especially increasing pressure from cheaper brands like Huawei and Xiaomi but of course also Samsung and Apple on the upper end have made sure the sony’s smartphones are under performing.
Especially in comparison to the super profitable Sony Playstation division, which made many analysts and stockholders wonder if Sony should not totally focus on Gaming and consoles instead other electronics and smartphones. According to Sony’s CEO Kazuo Hirai Sony will epecially focus on their more profitable areas, like the Playstation but also their camera sensors. Many smartphone manufacturers including Apple, Xiaomi and Meizu using Sony’s Sensors.
While Sony’s CEO did not state explictly that they will leave the Smartphone market, he indicated that Sony is very seriously considering the option. This would not be the first example. As mentioned above earlier Sony sold their non profitable PC division, including the VAIO brand to an investment company in Japan. Also Sony will be ending their music streaming service and rather partner with Spotify.
Can the upcoming Xperia Z4 Launch be the necesary Change for Sony Smartphones?
From our standpoint of view its definitely not the quality of Sony Smartphones that is the reason for the low sales. Sony smartphones and especially the Xperia Z series has a very high quality and performance standard. If anything we wish more consumers would try them to be convinced.
What do you think of Sony’s move? What could they do different to stay in the market? Do you think the upcoming Sony Xperia Z4 will change things up?

Is this the new iPhone 6C? Super Beautiful!
While we dont have information yet if Apple will really release a new budget smartphone after the iPhone 5c, we have now a 3D look for you how a new iPhone 6C could look like.
The iPhone 5c was basically a plastic backed carbon copy of the iPhone 5c, with many flashy colors available. Now these pictures you can see basucially combine the design features of the iPhone 5c with the iPhone. This would make a lot of sense if Apple plans to release a new iPhone 6c.
The iPhone 6c you can see here implents several design features of the iPhone 6 and 6Plus. The phone has a 4.7″ screen and compared to the iPhone 5c you get slim design, rounded edges, the round speakers and even the protruding camera. As you can see there is also a side-by-side comparison of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6c.
So far there is no official Apple information about the launch and iPhone 6c specs. We expect to release the iPhone 6s in September 2015 and Apple might just launch their budget iPhone 6c along with it.
In November we got reports that the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will probably come with dual lens and DSLR-quality while still having a 8MP Main Camera. This means the iPhone 6s would represent the “biggest camera jump ever” for Apple. Also you probably get an improved Fingerprint Scanner with the iPhone 6s.
We will of course update you if we get more infos of an iPhone 6C release date and 6s Launch. We think an cheaper iPhone 6c launch might be very well a good idea!
OnePlus One will get Android 5.0 Lollipop in March says One Plus Founder Carl Pei
OnePlus One Users will finally get OnePlus’s Major Android Update, with Android Lollipop 5.0 and CM12S in March. Carl Pei made it very clear that Lollipop will come for the OnePLus One around this time next month.
While this is good news for many OnePlus One users, originally OnePlus promised to bring an official update for the One just 3 month after the official Google Android 5.0 Launch last year. There is actually quite a big discussion on Carl Pei’s Twitter Account why OnePlus promised their 90days deadline, According to Carl Pei the delay is caused by “proprietary drivers, code, QA, certifications,”
Both OnePlus’s own OS, Oxygen OS and Cyanogen Mod 12S will come to the OnePlus One next month, based on Android Lollipop 5.0. Because of the Cyanogen Inc decided to not support OnePLus One devices in India in favor Of Micromaxx, OnePlus created their own OS for all international markets. At least for now CyanogenMod 12S will be available in parallel with Oxygen OS because of the original two year contract that OnePlus and Cyanogen Mod had.
Admittedly this is all a bit confusing, but the main message is this. In March you will be able to update your OnePLus One officially to CM12S from CM11S. Also if you feel adventurous you can try out OnePlus Oxygen OS, both will be based on Android Lollipop 5.0. Of course you can get an Alpha Version of Oxygen OS and CM12S right now already, but we recommend to wait for the official OnePlus Launch.

Smaller 5inch Asus Zenfone 2 Specs and Pictures!
Some weeks back we already reported that Asus might be working on a smaller version of the Asus Zenfone 2. Now we have photos and specs for you of the smaller Asus Zenfone 2.
The Asus Zenfone 2 with a screen size of 5″ was known under the code name Asus Zenfone ZE500L and now we have the first leaked pictures for you. The pics show the Asus Zenfone 2 next to the larger 5.5″ edition.
As you can see in the picture the 5″ Asus Zenfone ZE500 seems to be very similiar. The only differences are really the LED Flash position and it has only a single LED. In fact the height of the phone seems to be nearly the same and it looks like Asus Zenfone 2 5″ is mainly narrower then the bigger brother.
The smaller Asus Zenfone 2 specs are 5″ 720p HD display and Intel Atom Z2560 dual core cpu. Also the phone will have 2GB of RAM, 8MP Main Camera, 2MP front camera and a 2500m mAH battery and LTE. We have no information yet if there will be also a 4GB RAM version of the smaller Asus Zenfone 2. The smaller Asus Zenfone 2 Release Date will be in early March in Taiwan. The smaller Asus Zenfone 2 Price in Malaysia is expected to be around RM600-700RM.
On related news it seems that there could be Qualcomm and Mediatek Versions of the Asus Zenfone 2. It looks like Asus works already with Qualcomm to bring the powerful Snapdragon CPU to the Zenfone 2. Also a Mediatek version of the phone could launch in emerging markets soon.
An Asus Zenfone 2 with Snapdragon and 4GB of RAM – this would be awesome! Probably Asus contract with apple will state that Asus will buy a specified amount of Intel Processors in a specified amount of time. As long as Asus fulfills that agreement, they can work with Qualcomm and Mediatek for the new Asus Zenfone 2.
In general it really seems Asus is doing everything right with the new Asus Zenfone 2. They will launch a smaller version for all those fans who think 5.5″ is too large. Also it seems you get a Snapdragon Version for all those fans who are afraid the Intel CPU is not powerful enough! The Asus Zenfone 2 Price in Malaysia will be RM725 for the 2GB Version and around RM1050 for the 4GB RAM Version. Chuzpe ASUS!

Late 2014 Xiaomi revealed their Super Slim 5000mAh Power Bank in China and finally the new Xiaomi Power Bank is coming to Malaysia.
One issue that many buyers had with the 5200 mAH Power Bank from Xiaomi, was that it was too thick to carry around in your pocket. The new 5000mAh Power bank is actually much slimmer then the 5200mAH, so no problem to carry around.
Xiaomi Mi 5000 Power Bank Hands On Pics
The 5000mAh Xiaomi Power bank Price will be at RM34, the same price as the 5200mAH Power bank, that will be replaced. Originally the 5200mAH Xiaomi PowerBank Price was at RM25 though, that means that their prices slightly increased. Read this to find out if your xiaomi power bank is fake.

The ASUS ZenFone 2 is proof all other phones are too pricey
Lets be honest, I like Flagship Smartphones just as everybody else, but do you know what I like even more? Not spending my hard earned money so fast! Same for you? Yes I thought so! Nonetheless i still bought my girlfriend an Nexus 6, as fast as Google could take my money.
She really loves her Nexus 6, but other then a bigger screen and maybe improved camera its really not that much different from the Nexus 5 or even 4, for a few hundred dollars less money. So does this mean you should use your hard earned money to buy a Nexus 6? Wrong! Even the Nexus 5, while having good specs – is overpriced! Of course thats not what we all thought when the Google Nexus 5 was first released, but the Asus Zenfone 2 shows that we actually all have been fooled!
With all purchase decisons on consumer electronics, smartphones and computer equipments there is a point of diminishing returns. That means every dollar that you spend more wont buy you the same awesomeness as the dollar before. As an example if you decide to treat yourself to an 60-inch big TV, you might as well get an 65inch TV, if that one wouldnt cose twice the price! For TV’s 60inch seems to be the best Deal for your Money, anything bigger and youre just not getting enough Bang for your Bucks.
When you decide to buy a smartphone you have to look at CPU cores and speed, RAM, ROM, screen size and resolution, camera quality and some other factors to determine the best value for your money. Lets have a look at our Specs Comparison to see where your money is best spend.
Of course if these are not all released phones yet. The Asus Zenfone 2 will just be released next month and others been out for a while already. Others like Xiaomi Note phones or OnePlus One youll be happy to find at original prices at all in your country. The 65″ Tv might just cost half in next year, nontheless the comparison is still true.
Most of these devices come with very similiar specs. Each has some unique advantages, but for your everyday user experience they will all perform the same. Why then are devices like the Asus Zenfone 2 so much more affordable? Easy: Because Manufacturers can price them as high, because we are paying these prices. The only way to break this status is for companies like Asus, but also Motorola for example to keep doing what they do: Offer great specs for amazing prices!
Conclusion: The Asus Zenfone 2 is the best proof that you are overcharged for Smartphones at the moment. Whether the Asus Zenfone 2 is enough to start a real trend needs to be seen.
Yes, the ASUS ZenFone 2 is indeed proof we’re being overcharged for phone hardware. Whether or not it’s enough to kick the trend still remains to be seen.
Xiaomi Redmi 2 gets 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM for Chinese New Year
The Xiaomi Redmi 2 was the first phone that Xiaomi launched in 2015. And while it sold many units, there were some of you that actually complained about just 1GB of RAM. Well this is about to change right now!
Obviously Xiaomi believed that 1GB of RAM would be enought for the Redmi 2, Xiaomi is known to listen to their fans. So Xiaomi actually increased the RAM and the Memory of the Redmi 2, to 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory.
Xiaomi might call the Xiaomi Redmi 2 with 2GB RAM ” Enhanced Version”, but we dont know for sure so far. The Redmi 2 price will be at 128 USD or RM460 and the Release Date will be on Xiaomi Spring Festival from 13th February to Feb 25th.
The Rest of the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Specs remain the same with 4.7″ HD screen and 64-Bit Snapdragon 410. Besides 2GB RAM and 16GB memory the Redmi 2 comes with 8MP Main Shooter and 2MP Front Shooter. The battery capacity will be at 2200mAH and it comes with Android 4.4 on MIUI V6.
Xiaomi increased RAM and ROM of the Redmi 2, that is really a welcoming move. If you are interested in buying a phone at this price level you might want to wait a bit for the Meizu M1 Mini to launch with 2GB of RAM and compare then to find your best choice.
