HTC A9 to run on Android Marshmallow and Snapdragon 615 but look like an iPhone

Samsung Z3: Look like Note 5 with 120-degree angle selfie cam for RM540
Besides the big sub-brand Samsung Galaxy, the company has created a new series known as Samsung Z. Its first member, if you remember, is Samsung Z, which was launched in June last year, and then we had Samsung Z1, launched in January, 2015. Ten months after that, they decided to continue developing this sub-brand by introducing a new handset called Samsung Z3, announced just a few days ago…
So, to make you understand more about the Samsung Z3, here are some interesting facts you need to know!
Samsung Galaxy Z3 Specs
This is a mid-range phone, but it’s got a super AMOLED 5-inch display, Tizen 2.3 OS, a dual SIM and 5MP wide-angle front camera, which are pretty good for normal use. Additionally, Samsung Z3 also supports Ultra Data Saving mode in order to help save money for using 3G.

| Battery | Li-Ion 2600 mAh |
| Color | Black, Silver, Gold |
| SIM | Dual SIM |
Samsung Z3 Design
As for the design, Z3 seems pretty “manly” due to the square-shaped form, but it does not mean that only men can use Z3. It is still a good choice for those who like square 😀 . Moreover, looking the phone from the back will make you think that is the premium flagship Samsung Galaxy Note 5, which means Z3 may be cheap in the price, but not cheap in the look at all. And apart from the basic colors such as black and white, Samsung Z3 also comes with gold color.
Samsung Z3 Price
Though Samsung Z3 is listed as a mid-range phone, it is still able to attract many people by its wide angle selfie camera, up to 120 degrees to be specific. Back to July, 2015, Z3 used to be mentioned as a phone running on Tizen OS with super affordable price. And yes, it did come true. It is priced at 130 USD (which is around RM540 for the Samsung Z3 price in Malaysia).
Conclusion
Samsung not only releases high-end smartphones but they also care about other ranges. Samsung Z3 appears a good device in its kind. So, let’s wait for Z3 to come to Malaysia 😉 !
P/S: We also wonder is that why Z3? Where is Z2? Can you help us find a good explanation for this?

Lenovo has given Vibe P1 a 5,000mAh battery, which somehow makes it a direct rival to Doogee HomTom as well as other phones sporting such a huge energy source.
In general, Lenovo Vibe P1 is a mid-range smartphone with features quite similar to its sibling Lenovo Phab Plus (announced at the same time). Though, P1 is smaller due to its 5,5-inch FHD display. Apart from the impressive battery, Vibe P1 has quick charging tech and a fingerprint sensor placed on the front surface of the machine. Compared to Vibe P1, Lenovo Vibe P1m seems to have less powerful specs such as 2GB RAM, a MediaTek 64-bit octa-core chip and a 5-inch HD screen. Anyhow, the cells of this duo are so attractive to those who want their phones to last more than just 24 hours.

In addition, Lenovo Vibe P1m also boasts advanced Nano-coating by P2i to make it splash-

Well, those are the fabulous 10 Lenovo Smartphone we would like to introduce to you today. They are powerful with 4,000mAh batteries and above, but the other specs and designs are pretty good also. Moreover, we have the Lenovo K80 with the remarkable 4GB RAM as a strong competitor on the market. Hopefully, Lenovo will produce more products like that 😉 !
Lenovo Vibe P1m: Powerful Android phone with 4K mAh battery for RM660
I hope Lenovo will have good sales this time thanks to their new mid-range smartphone called Lenovo Vibe P1m powered by a 4,000mAh battery. In fact, we guess it is a mini variant of Lenovo Vibe P1 (launched in September, 2015).
We can see there are not many devices, even from giant brands like Apple, Samsung or Sony, coming with huge batteries like 4,000mAh or above. But, Lenovo phones seem to be an exception. For example, Lenovo has Lenovo A5000 and Lenovo P70 equipped with 4,000mAh cells and the latest Lenovo Vibe P1 with 5,000mAh one. They are super cool in terms of battery life.
And perhaps in order to prove that they are a typical model in producing handsets lasting for more than 24 hours, Lenovo once again makes us excited with the new product Lenovo Vibe P1m with much improvement in design and specs, including a strong 4,000mAh batt enabling you to use the phone in 3 days (in case of normal use) and about 2 days (heavy use).
Smart Technology
Lenovo Vibe P1m sports a physical button that can activate the battery saving mode (few smartphones have this feature). When being charged, P1m will directly take the energy from the source instead of its own batt, which reduces the charging time a lot. And in a combination with the impressive Quick Charge tech built in the machine, P1m can reach 100% of batt in only 3 hours, or with just 15 minutes of charging, you can use the phone in 4 hours. In addition, Lenovo Vibe P1m also boasts advanced Nano-coating by P2i to make it splash-

Which one is your favorite among the 10 best selfie smartphones of October?
Elephone Vowney to come with 4GB RAM and dual boot for under RM1,500
Back in April, it was reported that Elephone, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, was going to launch a handset with a dual boot: Windows 10 and Android 5.0 Lollipop. And last month, which is five months later, the company did keep their promise when officially releasing their Elephone Vowney with a dual OS and a price of $299.99, absolutely under RM1,500.
As for the basic Elephone Vowney specs, it sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD display plus nearly 535 ppi. The whole machine is powered by an octa-core 2.2GHz MediaTek MT6795 processor paired with 4GB RAM and 32GB of expandable storage.
Besides, the Elephone Vowney camera is capable of up to 20.7-megapixel rear camera (using a Sony Exmor IMX230 sensor) plus autofocus and 4K video recording capability. The front-facing shooter is super cool, especially for selfie lovers, since it is an 8-megapixel one, promising that you will have much pretty shots of yourself and your friends. Other Vowney features include a 4,200mAh battery, a dual SIM, and a fingerprint scanner. Sound great!
More interestingly, the Elephone Vowney is said to have a dual OS consisting of Android Lollipop and Windows 10 Mobile (which is confirmed by Microsoft to be rolled out in December this year). So, we guess that if you want the dual-boot version, maybe you have to wait bit more! But, let’s say, $299.99 (RM1,235) for the Elephone Vowney price is really impressive, right?!
According to Elephone online store, the Elephone Vowney pre-booking has started and the shipping will begin from 31st October, 2015. You can click HERE for more information as well as the pre-order.
In conclusion, though we do not often see Elephone as a giant smartphone company like Xiaomi, Huawei or Lenovo, its Elephone Vowney is kind of a good deal indeed. With many TOP specs at such an affordable price tag, we think Elephone will have good sales this time!
Android flagships beat Apple iPhone 6S at mobile camera ranking!
This seems to be good news for Android fans and bad news for iPhone fans. But, we have to admit that Android flagships beat Apple iPhone 6S at mobile camera ranking, at least in the DxOMark‘s list!
Although Apple iPhone 6S camera has been improved a lot when capable of 12 megapixels for the rear and 5 megapixels for the front shooter (much better than the 8MP rear and the 1.2MP front one of iPhone 6), it was not able to be the champion of the camera battle. Instead, many of this year’s Android flagships made it, topping the DxOMark’s mobile camera ranking list.
Specifically, the latest flagship phone of Apple just stopped at number 10 position, even under the previous generation Apple iPhone 6. Though, their final scores were the same.
Then, what were the Android devices that beat iPhone 6S?
Yeah, yeah, we will not make you wait longer. Here is the list of top 10 smartphone cameras according to DxOMark:
- Sony Xperia Z5
- Samsung Galaxy S6 edge
- Google Nexus 6P
- LG G4
- Samsung Galaxy Note 4
- Motorola Moto X Style
- Sony Xperia Z3 Plus
- Apple iPhone 6 Plus
- Apple iPhone 6
- Apple iPhone 6S
However, in general, Apple did quite well since there were up to 3 handsets (iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S) joining the top ten. Meanwhile, Sony and Samsung also did a good job with 2 machines per brand appearing in the list. On the other hand, we notice that no Chinese smartphone took a spot. Yet, say, the result is not 100% correct (but of course it does serve as a good base). We mean things can change once there are more phones taken into consideration.
To recap, we would like to congratulate Android on your winning, but keep trying as Apple will also do their best to get a higher place 😉 !
Acer Predator family: Impressive at RAGE 2015 Festival
A few days ago, Acer was proud of introducing their unique, fierce Predator line for gamers. You will be surprised and excited when seeing their “faces”…
In a recent interview with Paul Collins (Country Manager, Acer Africa) and Riaad Mangera (Product Business Unit Manager, Acer Africa), there is much information about the “balistically” amazing Predator Range of gaming products revealed.
When asked about what they expected to gain from being at the Expo, Paul responded that:
“rAge has been exceptionally exciting for us and is incredibly important to us, as it has given Acer the ideal opportunity to launch a bolted down Predator range to the republic of gamers…”
Big roar from Predator Family!
According to them, Predator range starts with an 8-inch tablet, then 15-inch and 17-inch Notebooks, and Desktop platforms. Besides, they also equip their HD 4K Curved Gaming Monitor for those products. On the other hand, a member of the Predator family that you would like to care more about is the Predator Phone, followed by a Predator Projector. It seems like you will not have any reasons to “not game” anymore 🙂 ! Additionally, all of them comes with screen sizes ranging from 6 inches to 40 inches.
Talking more about the Predator phone, we would like to mention the super strong Acer Predator 6 specs. Its display measure 6 inches (as the smallest size in the range), which means more viewing experience while gaming. Moreover, 4GB RAM gets on-board as well, making other flagships watch out for this phone’s power, especially ones from giant companies like Samsung or Sony.
Furthermore, the Acer Predator 6 smartphone owns a deca-core processor, which may be the Helio X20 chip from Mediatek, and a whooping 21MP sensor, which is so much a wonderful gift for the gamers though we do not know if they use it very often.
Looking at the family picture, we are kind of blown away by its fierce look and the number of members. If you have chance to purchase one of these predators, don’t forget to share your feelings and opinions with us!
Xiaomi to launch a Xiaomi camera and a tablet on Oct 19? Not Xiaomi Mi5?
Unlike the prediction as well as expectation we gave yesterday, Xiaomi is not going to launch their flagship Xiaomi Mi5 at the conference held on October 19, 2015. However, it is quite sure that we will have chance to see 2 other awesome devices which are…
Recently, this Chinese company’s President Mr. Lin Bin has made it clear over his Weibo that they are not going to unveil the Xiaomi Mi5. In addition, he stated that there would be no products like notebook or watch at the event.
“Not mi 5, notebooks, watches, plates, rice cookers, inflatable doll, nor bicycles, cars, aircraft, bombs, UFO.”
So, what will they have?
In another latest teaser shared on Weibo by Lei Jun, the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi company, it hints that their plan is to launch a new device category aiming at photographers. So, if we understand correctly, there will be a Xiaomi camera and a lens (as what we saw in the picture). Besides, the tagline reads “Better lens and body separated”, which even makes it a higher possibility.
Then, how about the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2?
Yes, it will be seen soon but no confirmation for Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 launch is made for now. Anyhow, it is said that the Pad will come with an external keyboard and Windows 10 dual system, powered by an Intel processor. Well, Dual System plus Removable keyboard is not a bad idea at all 😀 . Don’t you think?
In the end, what if the news turns out to be true, what else would you like to see in the upcoming camera and tablet of Xiaomi? Just tell us and we can…check again on Monday, October 19, 2015 😉 .
New LeTV and ZUK phone coming with rotating cams – A new trend next year?
Since the world’s first rotating camera smartphone OPPO N1, we have continued seeing many devices coming with interesting designs for their cameras. After OPPO, we have Huawei which introduced their flipping camera phone Huawei Honor 7i in August, 2015. And now, we are about to welcome 2 more handsets with rotating cams from LeTV and Lenovo ZUK. Unfortunately, their names are still a mystery!
1. LeTV Smartphone
It seems like LeTV’s strategy is not to release a lot of phones to enter the mobile industry successfully. Actually, they are doing it by giving consumers outstanding and unique machines. And recently, we have spotted something like that.
Some photos of the new LeTV phone shows that its screen will sport 2 curved sides like Samsung Galaxy S6 edge and 4 rounded corners. Moreover, it is very slim in terms of thickness and equipped with a 360-degree rotating camera, totally different from the shooter of OPPO N1 or OPPO N3. Besides, according to some leaks, LeTV will use Sony IMX300 sensor for such a unique snapper and make it capable of up to 23 megapixels and taking photos with RAW feature.
As for other specs, there will be a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 820 chip, 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Additionally, the Quick Charge tech of Qualcomm will be on-board as well despite not knowing how big the battery is.
Looking at the pics, we are pretty impressed with its design and the specs are so powerful. We predict that when it really comes out (perhaps at the beginning of 2016), we will be even more surprised. Let’s wait and see!
2. Lenovo ZUK Smartphone
Just about 2 months ago, Lenovo’s new ZUK brand announced its first product called ZUK Z1 boasting a 4,100mAh battery and full Netcom dual card with Lenovo ZUK Z1 price of only 1,799 Yuan (RM1,190). It has been attracting many people, which may be why ZUK wants to continue their success by launching another new handset in the near future.
Like the above LeTV smartphone, we have no idea about the name of the ZUK’s phone, but we notice it has quite similar design for the cam. It obviously can rotate around the top, but we are not sure whether that is a 360-degree rotation or not.
Some specs of the ZUK phone are said to include a Snapdragon 820 processor, yet other things like screen, memory, battery, etc. are still unknown. However, ZUK may not want to make them worse than the Lenovo ZUK specs 😉 .
Conclusion
As technology is developing more and more every day, thing like a flipping or rotating camera is not very hard to come true. With just one high quality shooter, you can capture a lot of beautiful pictures, and it can become a new trend next year. Do you agree 🙂 ?
New 5.5″ Meizu M3 Note with all-metal body to come on Oct 21 with RM665
Lately, Meizu has announced that they are going to hold a conference on October 21, 2015, and they also have sending out invites to Chinese media. It is said that this time, the company will introduce a new member of the Blue Charm (Meizu M Note) family. As a result, most people immediately assume that it will be Meizu M3 Note, the successor to Meizu M2 Note released in June, 2015.
Well, it has just been a month since Meizu last introduced a phone which is their flagship Meizu Pro 5. But, now, a new device is going to see the light this month. Basing on some rumored specifications, we are pretty sure that it is a mid-range phone, which also makes us think of the Meizu M Note series. Possibly it is Meizu M3 Note or another variant of Meizu M2 Note but with an all-metal cover. So, let’s just call it a Meizu M3 Note for now 😉 .
Some information about the Meizu M3 Note specs has also been seen. It will probably come with a 2.0GHz Meidatek MT6795 chipset (much faster than the 1.3Ghz MT6573 chip used for M2 Note), a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 2.5D glass panel, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM (expandable up to 128GB) and a combo of a 5MP front and 13MP rear camera. In addition, the operating system running the whole machine is said to be YunOS 3.1.6. If we put these features into a table of comparison with Meizu M2 Note, it will look like this:
| New Meizu M3 Note Specs | Meizu M2 Note Specs | |
| Dimensions | – | 150.9 x 75.2 x 8.7 mm |
| Weight | – | 149 g |
| Display | 5.5-inch Full HD | 5.5-inch Full HD (403 ppi) |
| OS | YunOS 3.1.6 | Flyme 4.5 based on Android OS, v5.0 (Lollipop) |
| Processor | 2.0 GHz Meidatek MT6795 | 1.3 GHz Mediatek MT6753 |
| ROM | 16 GB (expandable up to 128 GB) | 16/32 GB (expandable up to 128 GB) |
| RAM | 2 GB | 2 GB |
| Camera | Rear: 13 MPFront: 5 MP | Rear: 13 MP, autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flashFront: 5 MP, 1080p |
| Battery | – | Non-removable 3100 mAh |
| Color | – | Gray, White, Blue, Pink |
| SIM | – | Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by) |
For the Meizu M3 Note price, we are informed that the handset will cost 999 Yuan (RM665) in China. However, some believe that it has to be more at 1,099 Yuan (RM730, still under RM750 and still affordable, right?!). Though, this is really going to happen, we are afraid that those who have already purchased a Meizu M2 Note would feel upset since the latter will come with better price and specs. Don’t you think?
In conclusion, we are glad to welcome Meizu to the smartphone market of the end of 2015. Furthermore, we have a good feeling that this all-alloy phone will bring awesome experience to users in terms of both specs and design.
ASUS ZenFone Selfie and ZenFone 2 Laser new colors: Ugly or beautiful?
At Computex 2015, ASUS unveiled a dream flagship, a new ZenFone that is dedicated to taking the best selfies. Then, ASUS ZenFone Selfie went on sale and won many people’s hearts thanks to its mighty front camera. Besides, I think that another key factor having contributed to ZenFone Selfie’s success is its color.
Originally, it has Pure White, Chic Pink, and Aqua Blue as sweet pastel colors. Yet, maybe they are too… cute for some adults or businessmen to use, so ASUS Philippines has decided to release more “formal” versions of ZenFone Selfie and even ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser!
Silver, Red, and Gold are the new colors!

On the other hand, I also received news about the ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser. Specifically, it is the ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser 5.0, one of the first ZenFone 2 Laser models sporting a Qualcomm chip. Furthermore, its ability of taking photos is also great due to using laser focusing to achieve a focus speed of just 0.2 second with no shutter lag, according to ASUS.
Interestingly, ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser 5.0 is also the first member of the ZenFone family to be equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 4, having twice (2x) the drop-damage resistance of its predecessor and 2.5x retained strength, and 85% less likely to break in daily use. Cool!
