“Ultimate battery” for smartphones to last all week with one charge
Recently, a research has shown that developing lithium-oxygen battery could bring the idea of an “ultimate battery” to life. Is it possible in the future?
Li-air battery can be the “ultimate battery” we desire…
Lithium-oxygen (aka Li-air) has energy density benefits that are better than current lithium-ion cells and considered as the base for the “ultimate battery“. Specially, it is able to offer ten times the theoretical energy density of current batts, which means we can see smaller, cheaper and longer lasting ones for some small tools or vehicles powered by batts. If we used to think that a “ultimate battery” was just a dream, now the huge potential benefits of Li-air can change your mind thanks to the researchers of the University of Cambridge.
Yes, they have found a way to demonstrate a new kind of cell known as lithium-oxygen which is 90 percent more efficient and stable than what they tried in some experiments before. In addition, it can be recharged more than 2000 times. How amazing! Yet, we also need to be aware of some difficulties in emerging such battery techs. Obviously, it has to keep pace with the machine’s processor and deal with some energy sapping components inside the gadget in order to prevent a decrease in use time.
Besides, they also found an alternative – post-lithium batteries which are essential to automotive development and green energy storage industries but whether it can help create an “ultimate battery” is another story.
“While there are still plenty of fundamental studies that remain to be done, to iron out some of the mechanistic details, the current results are extremely exciting – we are still very much at the development stage, but we’ve shown that there are solutions to some of the tough problems associated with this technology,” – Professor Clare Grey of Cambridge’s Department of Chemistry
Anyhow, it means “ultimate battery” can come true…
Anyhow, we assume that this is a good sign for the idea “ultimate battery”. There are obstacles but at least the researchers are really trying to solve them. If it comes true, smartphones in particular will possibly last all week with just a single charge. Doesn’t it sound great?

Compared to Vibe P1, Lenovo Vibe P1m seems to have less powerful specs such as 2GB RAM, a MediaTek 64-bit octa-core chip and a 5-inch HD screen. Anyhow, the cells of this duo are so attractive to those who want their phones to last more than just 24 hours.

10. Lenovo Vibe P1m
Of course the 4,000mAh cell is amazing, yet it has other wonderful features like a physical button that can activate the battery saving mode and Quick Charge tech that can help the handset reach 100% of batt in only 3 hours, or with just 15 minutes of charging, you can use the phone in 4 hours. Well, those are the fabulous 10 Lenovo Smartphone we would like to introduce to you today. They are powerful with 4,000mAh batteries and above, but the other specs and designs are pretty good also. Moreover, we have the Lenovo K80 with the remarkable 4GB RAM as a strong competitor on the market. Hopefully, Lenovo will produce more products like that 😉 !
Apple iPhone 6S Plus battery can live as long as Samsung Galaxy Note 5
Apple iPhone 6S Plus battery can live as long as Samsung Galaxy Note 5 one. Can you believe that?
iPhone 6S Plus is one of the latest products by Apple this year. However, some people feel quite disappointed by its battery capacity: 165mAh less than its predecessor iPhone 6 Plus (2,750mAh vs 2,915mAh for the 6S Plus and 6 Plus, respectively). Normally, we have only expected the iPhone 6S Plus to last 6 hours or so, pretty similar to Apple iPhone 6 Plus. However, it seems like we have to rethink now!
In fact, Apple iPhone 6S Plus is able to achieve 33,060 seconds, or 551 minutes, or 9 hours and 11 minutes. It was proved by the Phonearena’s proprietary battery benchmark. Impressive, isn’t it? They also emphasized that iPhone 6S Plus can be the first case for an iPhone in their database. More specifically, according to them, 6S Plus “clocked the exact same figure as Samsung’s shiny new Galaxy Note5”, which features a bigger batt of 3,000mAh. At least, Apple has shown people that their iPhones can sometimes be stronger than others, right?!
Nonetheless, some people cannot 100% believe the result since it was reported that iPhone 6S Plus’s time for standby, talk time, and video and music playback was equal to its predecessor. Besides, its quick charging also fails to impress people. It takes you 165 minutes to get a fully-charged iPhone 6s Plus, which is easily outdone by other Android devices on the market.
In conclusion, we have to say that the battery life of iPhone 6S Plus is pretty surprising when it matches with that of Samsung Galaxy Note 5. Anyhow, we still wait for more such good points of Apple iPhone 6S Plus as well as iPhone 6S!

Lenovo K80M: 2GB RAM, 32GB ROM & 4000mAh for only RM 750
Lenovo K80, which has been a top device in its range, sports good specs such as 4GB RAM and 4000 mAh. For RM 1000, Lenovo K80 is a great choice. However, that is not the only good phone you will have. Lenovo K80M, a 2GB RAM version of the phone, is a nice deal for those who want a good phone but still is offered at budget price.

| Device | Lenovo K80M |
| Display | 5.5”, 1080 x 1920 pixels |
| Thickness | 8 mm |
| Weight | 150g |
| Camera | Rear: 13 MP, autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash. Front: 5MP |

| Battery | Li-Po 4000 mAh battery |
| Connectivity | Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot |
| SIM | Dual SIM (Micro-SIM, dual stand-by) |
Lenovo K80M display will be a 5.5” IPS screen with 1080p resolution, the same as what we found on Lenovo K80. Moreover, it gets power from a 64-bit Intel Atom processor at 1.8 GHz, which Lenovo K80 also sports. Therefore, we have almost the same power and basic performance on both devices.
The most notable different between Lenovo K80M and Lenovo K80 specs lies in the RAM and ROM. Lenovo K80M only sports 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, instead of 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage on the original device.
Even if this is a cheaper version, 2GB RAM and 32GB ROM seems great enough. Moreover, Lenovo K80M battery is still the huge 4000 mAh one, which adds more charm to this handset.
Lenovo K80M camera is a 13MP sensor with 5MP front snapper. Moreover, you also get optical image stabilization for better photo quality.
At the moment, there is no info on Lenovo K80M release date outside China yet. However, Lenovo K80M price in the Malaysia should be around RM 750. Considering this is a good deal, we hope Lenovo Malaysia will bring the handset to us as soon as possible.
LG G4: 5.5″ 2K screen, 16MP cam and AMAZING 8,500mAh battery
Recently, we’ve got some interesting news related to the flagship LG G4 launched in April this year and it will get you excited 😉 !
We all know that LG G4 already has a great set of specs, but now, it will be even more impressive when sporting Zerolemon’s new battery pack for the LG G4. Basically, LG G4 just features a 3,000mAh cell but for a flagship containing many top specs like G4, it does not seem enough for most people. If that’s the case, now Zerolemon battery pack for the LG G4 can help solve the problem easily since it extends the phone’s batt capacity up to 8,500mAh able to provide three-day life, even with fairly heavy use. That’s an amazing number!
Nonetheless, one thing making us worried is that the phone will look ugly due to such a huge battery. In fact, with the new 8,500mAh cell, LG G4 measures 21.3mm and weighs 178g (increased from 9.8mm and 155g), not really much heavier but a lot thicker. Though, some others do not care much about that. They just simply like having a phone that does not need charging everyday. Besides, Zerolemon has been able to give the machine a soft-touch plastic back case implementing back-mounted buttons.
For those who feel interested in this new feature of LG G4, you can now get the battery with only $59.99 (RM258) plus an 180-day money back guarantee.
For other LG G4 specs, you can have a look at the following table:
| LG G4 Specs (Original) | |
| Dimensions | 148.9 x 76.1 x 6.3 – 9.8 mm |

Lenovo Vibe P1 Specs: 5.5″ FHD screen, 5,000mAh battery for about RM1,300
The product we are talking about in this post is a new Lenovo phone named Lenovo Vibe P1. It appeared on the internet once in July if you remember and now, everything seems to be officially when we’ve got more Lenovo Vibe P1 specs and even price.
This news has been leaked lately through a product list of a retail store. Accordingly, there are some Lenovo Vibe P1 specs shown in the list, but the most impressive thing is its battery. Specifically, Lenovo Vibe P1 is noted to have a huge 5,000mAh cell. If this plus the aforementioned details turn out to be true, Lenovo Vibe P1 can become a strong competitor in the sale race at the end of the year.
For a general view of what Lenovo Vibe P1 is capable of, we would like to summarize a bit. Vibe P1 has been said to sport a 5.5-inch Full HD screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 1.5GHz chip paired with 3GB RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. As for the camera, Lenovo Vibe P1 will feature a 13MP rear and a 5MP front-facing snapper. Other specs are connectivity of 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE, fingerprint scanner, dual SIM, and Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
Though, we still have not heard anything about the Lenovo Vibe P1 launch date, which made us predict that perhaps they would want to officially introduce it at IFA 2015. That can be a good idea but we also wonder if it is good enough for Lenovo to impress phone consumers in general and people at the IFA in particular.
Apart from the 5,000mAh battery, the leak revealed that Lenovo Vibe P1 price is likely to be set at around RM1,300. Do you think it is a reasonable cost for the new Lenovo smartphone? Since Lenovo is usually known as one of the manufacturers producing affordable handsets with pretty good packages of features, so let’s see what they will bring us this time.
