Doogee is chinese smartphone manufacturer which has gotten more and more attention n the last month with extremely affordable phones with often borrowed designs. So was the Doogee Hitman DG850 a nearly exact copy of the Xiaomi Mi4, including high end 5″ metal design and 50% of the price. Before we get into the ethics of those inspired designs, lets have a look at the newest Doogee S6000 phone.
The biggest selling point of the Doogee S6000 will be the Design, which definitely took some inspiration from the Xiaomi Mi Note and Note Pro, which is a big Plus. It has the same 2.5 D glass front with slighlty curved back, and a high end Zinc Titanium metal frame. Also you have a GLONASS Glass back cover and 2.5mm slim bezel’s which makes it really quite similiar to Xiaomi’s current flagship.
You get the same dual speakers as the Xiaomi Mi Note. Really impressive is that the Doogee S6000 only measures 9mm of thickness, which is not the slimmest, but outstanding for a 6000 mah Battery. As you have the Design of the Xiaomi Mi Note you also get the same outstanding Screen to body ratio, which should be around 75%. This beats the iPhone 6 easily.
Doogee S6000 Specs include as mentioned before a huge 6000mAh battery, which should give you at least 3-4 usage. To make the most of this device Doogee also added Mediatek’s newest PumpExpress Fast Charging Tech. With this you can charge your phone to 75% in just 30 minutes. If you are unsatisfied with your current battery on your smartphone, this surely sounds like a great deal.

The Doogee S6000 Release Date will be somewhen in August this year. The Doogee S6000 is definitely one of the best looking phones out there with its High-End Xiaomi Mi Note Design. The Doogee S6000 price will be just 139.99 USD which translates to a Price in Malaysia of just RM524. What do you think about the Doogee S6000 smartphone?
Sony Xperia Z3 Plus (aka Sony Xperia Z4) vs ASUS ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML)
Today we come up with the battle between Sony Xperia Z3+ (aka Sony Xperia Z4) vs ASUS ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML). To be honest, this is gonna be tough as they both look premium and powerful.
Sony Xperia Z3 Plus (aka Sony Xperia Z4) vs ASUS ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML)
We can’t deny that ASUS ZenFone 2 looks completely high-end with its brushed metal appearance, but when you hold the device, it’s plastic. Of course plastic doesn’t mean it feels cheap! However the point is that it’s not in the premium league you would find in the Sony Xperia Z3 Plus+, HTC One M9, Galaxy S6 or LG G4. Other than that, ASUS ZenFone 2 with the curved back makes it easy to be held, though it’s obviously thicker than Sony Xperia Z3+.
There will be many people vote for Xperia Z3+ due to its design, but it is not 100% sure to win the specs department and absolutely the pricing aspect. Let’s take the first look at the screens. Both devices use the FHD LCD screen tech and are quite similar in the size: 5.2″ vs 5.5″ for Sony and ASUS device, respectively. Nonetheless, if looking closer, we’ll see that the LCD display on the Xperia Z3 Plus is a little higher in quality (424ppi to be specific) than ZenFone 2 (403ppi).
Secondly, both offer phone users large amounts of RAM, but in fact ZenFone 2 has already won this RAM game since it boasts 4GB RAM, more powerful than 3GB RAM built in Sony Xperia Z3 Plus. Other than that, ASUS ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML) is also better in terms of expandable battery. Their batteries cannot be removed. With 3,000mAh batt, ASUS ZenFone 2 is a bit stronger than Xperia Z3+ 2,930mAh one. However, in fact, Sony can really squeeze the most out of the batteries.
As for camera, the main ZenFone 2’s snapper owns a 13MP sensor with autofocus and a dual-tone LED flash. It is sure that Zen will be good enough for phone users to take decent photos, but still cannot beat the Xperia Z3 Plus’s 20.7MP sensor. Z3 will bring you great experience in taking wonderful pictures.
Despite some differences, Sony and ASUS smartphone share some things in common such as Android 5.0 Lollipop, Wi-Fi, GPS, FM radios, and microUSB port for charging and transferring data. Besides, each phone sports a Quick Charge feature as well.
For a general view of the differences as well as similarities in the specs of Sony Xperia Z3 Plus (aka Sony Xperia Z4) and ASUS ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML), let’s have a look at the following table:
| Sony Xperia Z3 Plus | ASUS ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML) | |
| Display | 5.2” FHD, ISP LCD, 424ppi | 5.5” FHD, ISP LCD, 403ppi |
| OS | Android 5.0 Lollipop | Android 5.0 Lollipop |
| Camera | Rear: 20.7MPFront: 5MP | Rear: 13MPFront: 5MP |
| Processor | 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 MSM8994, 2GHz | 64-bit Intel Atom Z3560, 2.3GHz |
| Battery | 2,930mAh | 3,000mAh |
| Weight | 144 grams | 170 grams |
| Thickness | 6.9mm | 10.9 mm |
| RAM | 3GB | 4GB |
| ROM | 32GB (expandable) | 16/32/64 GB, 2/4 GB RAM (expandable) |
| Connectivity | 4G LTE | 4G LTE |
| Color | Black, White, Copper and Aqua Green | Osmium Black, Sheer Gold, Glacier Gray, Glamor Red and Ceramic White |
Talking about price, you can find various ASUS ZenFone 2 prices here, ranging from RM588, and for Sony Xperia Z3+, we are looking for its arrival in June with Sony Xperia Z3 Plus price of about $630 (RM2,300) off-contract. That is not a small number at all, especially in comparison with ASUS ZenFone 2.
So, we just wan to bring you some overview of some different and similar points between these to flagship smartphones. Hopefully it would be helpful for your choice!

10 Simple Tips to help you take wonderful summer photos
1. Sometimes guidelines do help you take good pictures.
There is one simple rule for a good picture: “Rule of Thirds”. The rule proposes that an image should be imagined as divided into thirds (horizontally and vertically) so that you have 9 parts, either equal or not as follows:
The guideline is that you should place points of interest in the intersections or along the lines to make your photo more balanced and attractive. It’s also proved by many studies that human’s eyes go to one of the intersection points most of the time rather than the image’s center.
2. Stop using the camera’s zoom function!
Yes, you should not use your camera’s zoom function because it will make your pictures not clear and look as if they are made of a lot of small dots and marks. Instead, you can either crop your photo or try holding a pair of binoculars up to your lens.
3. Why don’t you try taking photos when you’re in a running car?
The impressive picture you’re seeing now is taken when the photographer was sitting a car, using “Burst Mode” function and editing it with Slow Shutter Cam. With this app, you can create many interesting moving effects for your summer pictures.
4. And taking pictures right under or on the surface of water is also fun!
5. How about placing the cam at a lower or higher point like this:
By placing your camera at a lower or higher point, for example, on the ground or from a point over your head, you can see things in a totally different way!
6. You should care about lighting.
Compared to DSLRs, smartphone cameras have very small sensors. Therefore, they capture less light and less details. Lighting is a key element in producing high-quality images. Perfect lighting to take some shots are the soft sunlight in the morning and late afternoon. Contrary to many people think, the harsh light at noon is not the best for your pics.
7. Fill the frame!
If you are taking a photo of a friend in front of a beautiful landscape, don’t just zoom in his/her face. Fill the frame with the amazing backgrounds to give a sense of how splendid it it.
Vice versa, even if you want to focus on the landscape, the presence of a “little human” in contrast with majestic nature will make the whole picture more impressive.
8. Using the sun for dramatic silhouettes should be considered.
Admit it, sunset and sunrise are two of the most beautiful times in the days to take a nice picture. Shot with the sun right behind your subject will create intense shadows and dramatic silhouettes that makes the photo look great.
9. Let’s play with reflections for interesting shots.
Before choosing your angle, look around to fine some puddles or water spots and create a new look into the old thing.
10. You can also create a tailor-made tripod for your smartphone.
A binder clip is easy to find and very simple to be made into a smartphone’s special tripod. Keeping your phone stand still on a surface contribute greatly to the quality of the pictures taken.
HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!
OPPO Neo 5 and Neo 5S version 2015 officially launched
OPPO’s mid-range products for 2015 have been officially launched! They are OPPO Neo 5(2015 version) and Neo 5S. As for the specs, they are not really different from each other, except the processors and connectivity support.
OPPO Neo 5 and Neo 5s
OPPO Neo 5 and Neo 5S Specs:
OPPO Neo 5 (2015 ver) is equipped with a MediaTek MT6582 SoC quad-core Cortex-A7 1.3GHz and Mali-400MP2 inside. On the contrary, its sibling, OPPO Neo 5S is gonna partner with Snapdragon 410 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 and Adreno 306 GPU. Other than that, one more main difference between this duo is the 4G LTE. Neo 5 does not support that feature while the Neo 5S does.
For the rest of the OPPO Neo 5 and 5S specs, both of they seem to share a lot in common. They come with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage (can be expanded up to 32GB and 128GB, respectively, via microSD card). Besides, they also share the same 4.5-inch IPS screen (854 x 480, 218ppi), which is somehow appropriate to the smartphone’s 2,000mAh battery. As for taking photos ability, OPPO builds an 8MP f/2.2 rear cam with a LED flash and a 2MP f/2.8 front shooter for the duo. The whole phones will run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat in combination with OPPO ColorOS v2.0.1.
Talking about the design, we can see that the handsets are dressing a double-layer alloy frame which appears sturdy and also can deal with heat dissipation. For the dimensions, both smartphones measure 131.9 x 65.5 x 8.0mm and weigh 135 grams. One minus thing could be the color variants since there are just 2 options for consumers: crystal white and sapphire blue.
In fact, the information about the specs shows not many special things about OPPO Neo 5S and Neo 5 ver 2015, so we guess that the most important selling point for the duo may lie in OPPO Neo 5 and 5S prices. Perhaps they will be super affordable. Let’s wait and see!
Meizu MX5 Pro phablet: 6″ QHD screen, 4GB RAM and 20.7MP camera
The Meizu MX5 is coming, but perhaps not alone! According to some recent leaks, it could debut along with another bigger sibling named Meizu MX5 Pro, which is said to feature with a 6-inch QHD display and a Samsung processor. It can create a hit sale for Meizu at the end of the year!
Meizu MX5 Pro leak
As for the Meizu MX5 Pro specs, it will boast an Exynos 7420 SoC chipset, which is also used for Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge. Moreover, Meizu MX5 Pro is likely to become the next name to put in the list of 4GB RAM smartphones this year as Meizu will probably equipped their new beast with 4GB RAM and a fingerprint scanner. Seems like this device will be more powerful than its brother MX5.
In terms of camera, Meizu company may build a 20.7MP cam on the MX5 Pro’s back and hopefully with a great selfie snapper on the front. On the other hand, a 4,000mAh can be a good choice for Meizu MX5 Pro.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini 4.6 inches appeared on GFXBench
Today, more and more phablets with 5.5-6-inch screen are introduced to consumers, but not everyone needs a big screen. For those who prefer a smaller device, manufacturers satisfy them with something called “mini-version”.
Lately, one mini version can be named is Samsung Galaxy S6, having appeared on GFXBench’s database with a model name SM-G9198. In terms of specs, it will be equipped with 4.6-inch display with 1280 × 768 resolution, slightly higher than 720p. It’s 0.1-inch larger than its predecessor Samsung Galaxy S5 mini edition with 4.5-inch display.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini Version
The whole phone is powered by the Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor and Adreno 418 GPU, paired with 2GB RAM and 11GB of storage. As for camera, though Samsung Galaxy S6 can be mini, its rear snapper doesn’t seem so. It is a a 15MP cam and a 5MP front one in addition. Other than that, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop will be the phone’s operating system.
Although there is no further information about the other specs such as color, battery and so on, as usual, the development has entered the final stage. Probably it can be released later this month.
To recap, if Samsung does come up with a 4.6-inch Galaxy S6, it’s gonna attract many people due to the convenience it can bring to the phone users, especially for single-handed operation. And of course, the Samsung Galaxy S6 mini price will be cheaper than the big size. No words have been made for that yet but it is worth the wait.
Well, how much do you want for a Samsung Galaxy S6 mini price in Malaysia? Tell us your prediction as well as expectation!
