Nokia Asha QWERTY Integrates a Keyboard Into the Lovely Experience
Today, we are going to talk about another interesting kind of phone that used to appear in the Nokia house, yet it will be likely to come back next year and promise to rock the world one more time. It is Nokia Asha QWERTY.
Nokia Asha QWERTY Design
This phone’s design is likely to take inspiration from the Nokia Asha devices launch some years ago, done by Mohammad Zahid Maqbool. Generally, we think this is a gorgeous combination of a smartphone and a QWERTY phone since its body seems slim and not horizontally expansive. Besides, there is a reasonably large touchscreen for you guys to feel like using a real smartphone.
Some people said that the new Nokia Asha QWERTY looked cool with such a new case (transparent edges) which you could see through. Nonetheless, some others thought the model would get even better if Nokia offered more colors for the keypad and the back must be made of metal.
Nokia Asha QWERTY Specs
Spec-wise, Asha QWERTY is a device from the lower-end Nokia product range. Specifically, it sports the famous dual shot clear case, the latest Asha operating system, a 2.8-inch touch display and a 3.2 MP rear camera. Unfortunately, it is said that the cam does not have a flash and a front-facing snapper for those who love taking selfies.
On the other hand, some mentioned that Nokia Asha QWERTY would not support 3G network but there has been no confirmation of the info as well as other Nokia Asha QWERTY specs for now. So, take it with a pinch of salt!
Nokia Asha QWERTY Price and Availability
Last but not least, we want to talk about its price and availability. Belonging to the mid-range phone category, Asha QWERTY is predicted to cost about 80 or 90 dollars (RM350-400), according to the designer. That is totally affordable, which is also a point that people like about Nokia products. Hopefully, we will see in soon in 2016.
Now, what would you say about Nokia Asha QWERTY?
Sony Xperia Z5 Plus: 23MP and Snapdragon 820 for 2016
Sony Xperia Z5 family is the lastest high-end flagship smartphones by the Japanese company. The devices, enlisted Sony Xperia Z5, Z5 Compact and Z5 Premium comes with super high-class features like 23MP camera, 4K display etc. By now, Sony is even planning a new version for 2016, with the upcoming Snapdragon 820 chip set: Sony Xperia Z5 Plus. Let’s see what Sony Xperia Z5 Plus offers beyond what the other 3 already covered.
Sony Xperia Z5 Plus: first Snapdragon 820 smartphone
We all know that Qualcomm’s premium chip for high end smartphone, Snapdragon 820 will be out next year 2016. This Sony Xperia Z5 Plus is targeted to be one of the first mobile devices to try on that chip set. Sony Xperia Z5 Plus specs we know for now include: 5.3 inch FHD IPS Display, 4GB RAM, 23MP camera with the famous IMX 300 sensor that Samsung is trying to buy. To power the handset we have 3100 mAH battery and of course, Snapdragon 820 processor.
Sony Xperia Z5 Plus design
Sony Xperia Z5 Plus is actually a concept designed by Babak Soren. He is the same designer for Sony Xperia S5 concept that we all love. Sony Xperia Z5 Plus design comes with different color options to best fit a wider range of customers.
The idea of the Xperia Z5 Plus is definitely wise: it carries all of the best features proven to be loved from the predecessor Xperia Z5, plus one of the most expected chip sets to launch 2016. These things, all together, make Xperia Z5 Plus a desirable device that will surely be a Bomb in the market next year, if launched and priced properly.
Sony Xperia Z5 Plus release and pricing
Sony Xperia Z5 Plus is for now, still an inspiring concept smartphone. However, since it is very close to reality and has good connection with the already-launched Sony Xperia Z5 family, chances for it to be produced is very high.
Featuring Snapdragon 820, we hope Sony will set the Xperia Z5 Plus release in early 2016 to lead the trend. Sony Xperia Z5 Plus price should vary between Xperia Z5 price and Xperia Z5 Premium price.

OnePlus X hands-on: Premium design for a mid-range phone
To be honest, OnePlus X is more attractive than OnePlus 2 in our opinion, especial its design. Moreover, the specs are also very good as well when we compare it with other mid-range phones. But whether it can survive in today’s fierce market is another thing. Why don’t we look at its hands-on pictures first and and then figure out the result? Let’s do it now!
OnePlus X hands-on pictures
Though the OnePlus 2 is a flagship smartphone, its design is not as impressive as the OnePlus X design. Somewhat the X reminds us of Apple iPhone 4 series with a smaller size (compared to phablets) which is ideal for female users to hold and use. Besides, we want to emphasize that OnePlus X is a glass and alloy phone, coming along with super slim bezels. The handset unboxed in this post is a white version; the front and rear panels are made of 2.5D glass and there is an gold alloy chassis placed between. So beautiful!
OnePlus X Specs recap
Summarizing a bit the OnePlus X specs, we have a 5-inch Full HD AMOLED display, a non-removable lithium-polymer 2,525mAh battery and a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor. In addition, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage are on-board, but not NFC. And just like its bigger brother OnePlus 2, the X runs on OxygenOS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. More info about the OxygenOS is that it provides a handy Dark Mode for nighttime reading and some gestures designed to help you use the phone more easily.
As for the camera, there are a 13MP rear f/2.2 snapper with 0.2-second autofocus and phase detection autofocus, plus an up to 8MP front-facing shooter, perfect for selfies, right?! However, the lack of laser focus makes OP X slower and the F2.2 aperture is slightly noisy in low-light situations.
Overall, for a mid-range phone, OnePlus X specs are cool and we can say that it is a strong competitor in its kind!
CONCLUSION
Well, if you are about to buy a new smartphone for under RM1,100, OnePlus X is one of the best choices. It has the beauty; it has the power; it has a reasonable price. Therefore, don’t forget to put it in your list!
Nokia C1 VS Nokia E1: Android smartphone battle
Nokia is coming back, which promises many good smartphones will be on shelves next year. Two potential ones are Nokia C1 and Nokia E1, so we want to put them into a comparison to sew which one can be more like the next legend of the firm: Nokia C1 VS Nokia E1.
They are both said to be Nokia Android-based smartphones when the Giant comes back in 2016 after years of absence and they seem to be mid-rangers helping Nokia to get closer to consumers who want affordable devices…
Let’s take a closer look at both device.
Nokia C1 VS Nokia E1: Specs and Prices
A render image of Nokia C1 smartphone was first spotted in early September 2015, which made Nokia fans more excited than ever. Nokia C1 is also mentioned as the first ever Nokia Android smartphone. Some Nokia C1 specs rumored by now include: a handy 5-inch display, 2GB RAM, and 16GB of storage. The Nokia C1 cameras will hopefully be 8MP and 5MP or higher.
We have been guessing that the Nokia C1 price in Philippines at launch date in 2016 will be in our most favorite category: sub PHP 15K.
In case of Nokia E1, its specs will probably include a 2.3GHz Intel 64-bit Atom processor, PowerVR G6430 graphics, and a 4.95-inch Full HD IPS display (which is the same as C1). In addition, 2GB of RAM (the same), 32GB of internal storage (bigger than C1), and a 2,700 mAh battery will be on-board, too. As for the camera, E1 may have a combo of a 20MP rear and 5MP front-facing shooter, which is definitely better than C1.
About the Nokia E1 price, we assume that with such Nokia E1 specs and look, E1 may be priced at around PHP 12K. If so, Nokia E1 can beat Nokia C1.
Nokia C1 VS Lumia 950XL: Different designs but beautiful
Looking at the leaked pic of Nokia C1, we are quite impressed with its design. Four corners are rounded but not too rounded. The bezels are super slim and maybe made of plastic, yet not for sure now. On the other hand, Nokia E1 comes with a metal body and some nice curved borders. They are surely different in the look, so you have more choices. Then, which one do you prefer?
Closing note
Whether coming up or already available, both Nokia C1 and Nokia E1 are highly anticipated devices. They are loved and expected. No matter what strategies the company is having, we just want to say that please come soon!
Samsung Galaxy S7: 7 rumored features to be expecting!
Samsung Galaxy S7 is Samsung’s upcoming flagship planned for 2016, hopefully in January. From the name, we can easily guess it is the successor of the high-end Galaxy S6. The device, yet to launch, has been leaked by some rumors and started to receive positive attention.’
Have you been catching up with all rumors about this potential BOMB exploded in 2016? No worries, here I have for you the wrap up of everything.
Samsung Galaxy S7: 7 rumors features you can’t resist
1. Thinner body with Magnesium
One of the best things users like about Samsung Galaxy S6 is its premium design. And seems like Samsung will keep that feature going on for the next generation. The Galaxy S7, if nothing changes, will feature a magnesium alloy frame, covered by glass to have better protection and give better sense of overall design.
2. Larger display?
Well, if you have been following updates about the beast, you may realize the Galaxy S7 display is the most mysterious feature we have so far. However, knowing Samsung, rumors have it said that, the S7 may be coming with 2 options: either a 5.2” flat display or a 5.7” curved one. Does this remind you of anything? Yes, it is very possible that we will have another Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge variant!
3. Most powerful chip set ever
Yes, here comes the super star! We have heard and talked a lot about the Samsung Galaxy S7 chip set. On one hand, Samsung is working to launch the Exynos 8890, expected to be the most powerful ever found. On the other hand, sources are suggesting another variant with Snapdragon 820 – also a beast processor for most premium devices in 2016.
For detailed information about the chip sets Samsung Galaxy S7 will feature, please refer to our previous article here!
4. The new best camera sensor
It is nowhere to be confirmed, but we have heard that, Samsung was impressed by Sony IMX 300 camera sensor, and talking with the Japanese Giant to buy for their new beast. The title of best smartphone camera in the entire market today belongs to Sony Xperia Z5 family with 23MP sensor and 0.03s auto focus. If Samsung succeeds in dealing with Sony, who knows, the new crown would possibly becomes Galaxy S7. Either, one thing I can say for sure is the, the new S7 camera will be better in resolution than 16MP of the current S6.

5. Enhanced audio chip
Samsung is known for their dedication to quality when it comes to media functions, including the smartphone audio quality. For the time being, they have been using Wolfson audio DACs for their Samsung Galaxy smartphones quite often. But rumors are hinting that, this time, the Galaxy S7 will have an ESS audio chip. We don’t know which is the difference yet, But having a bit mystery is good to keep people curious and concerned about the device. Let’s see if it can provide us a new experience with music play !
6. Innovative screen technology
To make an easy comparison: Samsung Galaxy S7 will have a pressure-sensitive touchscreen, which is similar to Apple’s 3D Force Touch used in iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. Why did we know that? Because Synaptics, the producers of touch screens, has just enlisted Samsung as one of their main partner for the upcoming ClearForce technology. Interesting!
7. USB Type C Port
I don’t think we need more explanation for this feature. USB Type C, with many of its advantages (faster transfer, higher power throughput, and most of all, the ability to connect on either side) is expected to be the next trending feature for smartphones launch in 2016. Of course, Samsung doesn’t want their high-end Galaxy S7 to stay off the track!
Samsung Galaxy S7: expectation is high
Yes! Like super high! Samsung has been successful with their business in 2015 with many of new flagships like the Galaxy S6 – Galaxy S6 Edge and premium Galaxy Note 5. With rumors already flowing over the internet, Galaxy S7 is one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2016. Just a couple of months later, and we will see the official Samsung Galxy S7 specs and features! And you can start saving by now (blink!)
Samsung Galaxy J7 review: LED flashes for both cams
Samsung Galaxy J7 is considered as a smartphone owning many impressive features. Now, let’s review what it’s got for the design, specs and price to know why J7 is so attractive!
Samsung Galaxy J7 review
Samsung Galaxy J7 Design
Samsung Galaxy J7 belongs to the mid-range phone category. Though it looks pretty simple, J7 is still able to impress people with its Samsung traditional design, containing a physical Home button on the front surface but it does not take up too much space. We can hold the phone easily and comfortably. There are 4 rounded corners, a big screen on the front (with a size of a phablet) together with a secondary camera, a speaker and LED flash. However, the back of J7 looks not really as cool as we expected since the design of the main snapper is not attractive.
Well, if we had to grade the Samsung Galaxy J7 design, we would go with 7/10. Do you agree?
Samsung Galaxy J7 Specs
As for the specifications, there is a 5.5-inch HD display that can bring users high quality when they play games or watch movies. The whole machine is powered by a Snarpdragon 615 64-bit octa-core chip paired with high-end Adreno 405 GPU, 1.5GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Although the package of Samsung Galaxy J7’s features is not the best once compared with others in its kind, J7 is able to deliver pretty good productivity, smoothness and speed.
For a mid-ranger like J7, it is not very surprising when it has a combo of a 13MP rear and 5MP selfie camera, but the fact that it is equipped with LED flashes for both shooters makes us excited. Then, we can take beautiful pictures even in low-light conditions.
Summary of Samsung Galaxy J7 specs:
OS: Android 5.1
Chip: Snapdragon 615
RAM: 1.5GB
Display: Super AMOLED 5.5″ HD
ROM: 16GB (expandable)
Camera: 13MP, AF, LED Flash, f/1.9 + 5 MP, LED Flash
Thickness: 7.5mm
Weight: 170g
Battery: 3,000mAh
Samsung Galaxy J7 Price in Malaysia
It is priced at RM999, which seems an OK amount of money for those who want to buy a Samsung smartphone. Yet, we have to say that with RM999 or perhaps less than RM999, we can buy another one which is stronger in terms of specs. Nonetheless, a truth which cannot be denied is that Samsung products are usually said to work well. Therefore, you do not have to worry about its quality.
CONCLUSION
We have been through the review of Samsung Galaxy J7 design, specs and price. In general, they are a good combination. J7 still has its own advantage such as the front-facing cam coming along with a LED flash. So, if you are looking for a new smartphone for under RM1000, you can totally take J7 into consideration.

Nokia Play VS Acer Predator 6: Nokia XBox VS Acer Gaming
The fact has been noticed that, many among us smartphone users are gamers and heavy gamers. That explains why we can find many mobile devices dedicated to run on game with hefty graphic figures. (Check out our Top smartphones for heavy gaming list)
In this article, I will give a bit more insights about 2 of the most talk-about gaming smartphones. You can say their names right now: Nokia Play VS Acer Predator 6
Nokia Play VS Acer Predator 6: first impression
Nokia Play, or Nokia Lumia Play, is a smartphone concept by designer Antonio Celestino, powered by Microsoft XBOX technology. It is actually a gamepad with an XBOX 360 console, and a smartphone under the same hood.
Acer Predator 6, on the other hand, looks more like a smartphone with a unique rubik design. The smartphone does not run any special program or powered by any gaming technology. However, targeted for heavy gamers, the Acer Predator 6 features powerful specs of best fit their needs and help the device run smoothly.
Nokia Play VS Acer Predator 6: under the hood
Nokia Play specs include a quad-core CPU, 2GB of RAM with 32GB ROM (expandable up to 64GB with a microSD card, large enough to store all the games you would like to). Nokia Play display comes in HD resolution and Gorilla Glass for protection. The Nokia smartphone + XBOX 360 hybrid has a 10MP /5MP pair of cameras. Also, as a signature of Nokia-Lumia smartphones, the Nokia Play has 5 different color options for you to choose.
Acer Predator 6 specs are powerful enough to easily impress anyone: 4GB RAM (well although 6GB RAM smartphones are coming 2016 but for now, 4GB smartphones are still the kings), 10 core processor (to maximize the device’s smooth performance on heavy games) and whooping 10,000 mAH battery (you don’t want to charge in the middle of your intense battle, right?)
Nokia Play VS Acer Predator 6: contribution of the brands
It is quite obvious that Nokia Lumia Play specs are not as preferable as those of Acer Predator 6. However, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the Nokia Lumia Play will sell less well than its counterpart. The brand names, no matter what the reasons are, do contribute considerably to customers’ decision.
Acer is no doubt a familiar smartphone producers in our market. However, aside from this outstanding Predator 6, Acer barely has any other beasts that are remembered. On the other hand, Nokia has always been the smartphone Giants with numerous signature mobile devices. With their Nokia comeback 2016, Nokia will surely receive a lot more attention. And so will their future flagships!
