Meizu Pro 7 plus launch: coming soon

Meizu facebook just updated a status saying the device is coming soon in Malaysia. That could mean the company is finalizing the deal with retailers and the official launch is within September.

Sony has been rolling out a global security update. It started out earlier on the Xperia XZ and XZ premium. Now the Sony Xperia X series gets the update.

Sony Xperia X series specs: 23MP camera

The standard Sony Xperia specs feature 5 inches of full HD screen made of scratch-resistant glass with oleophobic coating. The Xperia X Compact battery even got its capacity boosted to 2700 mAh. While the rest of the spec remains the same (SnapDragon 650 chipset and 3GB RAM), there is only the 32GB storage option. However, the MicroSD slot is still there so that shouldn’t be much of an issue.

The mobile photographers are going to like the Sony Xperia X camera. The reason is that it got a 23MP sensor for the primary camera while the selfie camera has 16MP. The same goes for the Compact variant. Another interesting feature of the Xperia X series is that they feature a fingerprint scanner but on the side of the phone. A post on Huawei twitter that used to poke fun at Samsung reveals about the Mate 10. First, it is sure to feature a bigger screen. The Mate 9 has a 5.9-inch display, so we expect the Mate 10 to be somewhere around 6 inches. As the company has confirmed, the device will be their first to have a full-screen display. That means the phone is taking the super thin bezel approach like the Essential Phone. Although, there is a tiny chance that Huawei can go for a curved display to compete directly with Samsung.

Design aside, the Huawei Mate 10 specs is also a topic of discussion. Rumor has it that the phone is going to have 6-inches screen that renders at 2,160 x 1,080 pixels. One thing we know for sure is the chipset powering the device. The company’s CEO confirmed that it is the Kirin 970. The Huawei Mate 10 RAM is likely to be 4GB. However, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro RAM might get 6GB for the competition. Also, on the topic of memories, the device storage may be 128GB on the standard version and 256GB on the Pro one.

The Huawei Mate 10 Camera is going to be a dual 12+20MP lens on the primary camera. It’s the same as the previous phone. However, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 camera was able to do so much using a dedicated software. Therefore, we believe that on this phone, Huawei is sure to pull off something similar.

Huawei Mate 10 release date: mid-October

Huawei had sent out invitations for the Mate 10 debut press conference. The date is October, 16th so we still have one and have a month ahead of us. Information about the Huawei Mate 10 Price and launch is expected in the event.

Regarding hardware, Samsung has reportedly been buying up all the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset model 845. Surely, it is to prevent competitors to from getting the chip. But all these chip has to go somewhere, and that place might just be inside the next flagship. The Samsung Galaxy S9 RAM is expected to be 6GB, following on from the Note 8. We are not sure about the storage capacity yet because Apple iPhone 8 features a massive 512GB. It is possible that Samsung will pull something off to even the score.

And for the camera, we are sure it will be a dual cam since the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 camera was a huge success. The question remains for the software part of the snapper. Afterall,  Much of the praise for the Note 8 shooter was thanks to the camera app. For now, we can not say what will become of the Samsung Galaxy S9 battery since the image is just a patent, not even a concept art.
