Long battery life smartphones: which brand will be crowned?
Smartphone with a big battery is always a hot item. There are so many OEMs stepping into this market. So, who’s gonna be the winner in the long battery life smartphone battle ?
Long battery life smartphone: Samsung vs Sony
Smartphone battery is one of buyers’ most interests. This is in the top reasons for smartphone choice. That’s why many smartphone manufacturers focus on this feature. There’ve been many companies releasing their phones with big batteries. Let’s see which brand has the most impressive battery life so far. A survey of smartphone battery life was conducted in the last three years by Phone Arena team.
As you can see from the chart, Samsung and Sony are the two highlight companies offering the best battery so far. However, Sony has the unstable frequencies due to the 6-month upgrade cycles. In the early of 2013, its average cell is just 300 minutes, but at the end of 2014, this cell is up dramatically thanks to Xperia Z3. And after that, it falls again with the Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z5, and go up again with Xperia X.
Among the three others big names: iPhone, HTC, LG and Motorola, HTC’s battery capacity seems to be the most stable with the growth rate from 350-425’. However, the company doesn’t have any breakthrough. Moto X is in the same case as it can’t pass the number 400. The big brand from the US has a battery improvement after being complained. With the average cell of 500 minutes, iPhone has even passed the Galaxy S lineup. LG can’t follow the success of LG G2. LG is on the lowest level in the top 5 big brands.
Long battery life smartphone: Sony is crowned
So, Sony and Samsung is the two best battery phones so far. The most highlight of Samsung is the Galaxy Note series. The battery of this lineup continues to raise. Generally, Sony still surpasses its rival from Korea for the last two years despite being not stable.
LG introduced a unique charging technology
Along with many great smartphones, LG has announced the Unique charging technology. This new technology could speed up your charging time up to…
LG unique charging technology is a future device!
LG smartphones are famous for its design as well as special features. Now, they are producing the new charger which includes their unique charging technology. Thanks to this new charger, LG smartphones can charge faster. The developers of LG also revealed that, instead of charging your smartphone in the normal way, now they will use a magnet to make charging easier. This technology helps LG stand out among other famous brands.
You don’t have to wait for a long time because with the new tech, we can speed up charging time to 7 watts. That’s two times faster than the average speed in the current market. Moreover, this device may allow you to charge your device in 2.75-inch distant. That is not really great distant but it could be increased in the near future. Other famous brands such as Meizu, Oppo and Huawei will also use this technology next year.
For example, the latest smartphone LG G5 could be the first representative to use unique charging technique. In addition, LG G5 is also an impressive device with module technology from Google. Other LG G5 specs such as 4GB RAM, 256GB RAM, SND 820 chipset, and a combo of 16MP/8MP camera could also satisfy you.
When is the Unique charging technique launched?
As the current report, LG is upgrading and fixing bugs in the new charger. The company has confirmed to launch their device later this year, probably in September. This LG charger might not be a cheap price for some users, at around $20-30. Now, the technical followers in the world are waiting for this new LG charger. What about you?

Flexible smartphone will be released in China this year
The first truly flexible smartphone will be released this year. That’s a confirmation from Moxi Group. This smartphone can bend around your wrist like an accessory. It also can be stretched flatly like the other phones.
Flexible smartphone: a smartphone bracelet
In the last few years, we’ve seen so many products which are “flexible” from Samsung and LG. Samsung has the dual-curved screen smartphones with S6,S7 (Edge). LG has the G Flex phone which is curved to the shape of a banana. However, these phones are not really the flexible phones. And now, we’re about to have a chance to see the real deal from the Moxi Group. The company is gonna sell 100.000 units in this year.
Moxi Group -a Chinese start-up- has been developing a flexible smartphone that can roll over itself. You can fasten it around your wrist and wear it like a watch or a bracelet. The screen of this smartphone was made of a graphene which is super thin, light, strong and flexible. They can create a flexible screen, but not with battery and processor. These non-flexible parts will be kept rigid by a module at the one end of the phone.
For the first flexible smartphone, the company will use an e-ink technology. That means the flexible smartphone will sport a black and white display. This feature makes the device look like a Kindle rather than a smartphone. About the flexible smartphone specs, there might be a 4GB or RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. It’s gonna have a Snapdragon processor and a 3500mAh battery life.
Flexible smartphone price: not for the back-white display
With this flexible smartphone, Moxie is bringing the new fresh air to the smartphone market. The small unknown startup shows up with the big smartphone technology. This could be a huge challenge to some big brands like Samsung, LG or Apple. The flexible smartphone release date will be later this year, say, November 2016. And this black and white -display phone is gonna be sold only in China. The flexible smartphone price will be about $760. The color display phone will be available in 2018.
LG G5 Lite leaked with SND 652, 3GB RAM and 16MP
LG G5 is considered one of the most premium flagships of this 2016. And to reach out to more customers, the company is launching a more affordable variant of this smartphone: LG G5 Lite
LG G5 Lite: 3GB RAM variant of the flagship
LG G5 Lite, with a model code LG H848, has been spotted from a source in China. The smartphone is said to have a reduction is specs, and of course, a cut in price compared to its original LG G5 variant. The most significant change spotted is the processor, which went from Snapdragon 820 to Snadragon 652. The 4GB RAM is also reduced into 3GB RAM for the “Lite” variant. This way, LG make sure the new mobile still perform smoothly yet save a great deal of money for those who prefer a more affordable phone.
Other LG G5 Lite specs we know for now include: the same 5.3 inch display, QHD resolution, a 16MP/8MP camera duo, 32GB of storage and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. LG G5 Lite, or LG H848 still sports a modular design that looks pretty much the same with its bigger brother. For now, we have heard no word about other features the smartphone will have to offer, like “Always on Display” mode and so on…
It is becoming more of a common trend that, after releasing a premium flagship with powerful machine and a rather high prices, smartphone producers will launch more affordable variants of those beasts, with either a smaller display, smaller RAM or processor. This LG G5 Lite and the recently announced Samsung Galaxy S7 Lite make 2 awesome examples.
LG G5 Lite: Price and release
For now, LG has not confirmed yet about the release date and price of this LG G5 Lite machine. But they did reveal that, China will be the first country to try out this variant. We are expecting an LG G5 Lite release sometimes in Q2 2016 and predicting a price tag of around USD 350 – USD 400. Your opinion about this mobile?
LG sells 10,000 LG V10 units in one day: 4GB RAM beast
According to LG, the company has sold 450,000 units of their latest smartphone LG V10 in the first 45 days after the release. The Japanese company seems to be really proud of this achievement
LG V10: 450,000 units sold in just 45 days
After the first debut, LG V10 doesn’t seem to got as much attention as it should have, comparing to other flagships by Samsung or Sony introduced at the same time. However, reports from LG have proved that, the V10 managed to sell 450,000 units in North America in 45 days, which is equivalent to around 10,000 units sold every day. And this is not at all a small number. Let’s take a look to see what LG V10 has to offer that make it so popular in such market.
In terms of LG V10 specs, we have a huge 5.7 inch display that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and 4GB RAM to make it a powerful flagship. What is special about the LG V10 is that, it has a second display measured 2.1 inch to help display necessary information without needing to turn on the main display to help save battery. Other LG V10 specs include: a beautiful 16MP camera with 2MP on the front, 64GB interna, Snapdragon 808 chip set and 3000 mAH battery
Following the LG V10’s success, LG also revealed that, their US market share for phablet with 5.7” display or bigger has increased from 26.7% to 35.7% in November, giving credit to their latest flagship smartphone. They are saying the majority of LG V10 buyers are young American and white collar workers, who are quick in updating new technology trend.
LG V10 – proud flagship smartphone by LG
LG V10 comes in 5 different color options: Space Black, Luxe White, Modern Beige, Ocean Blue, Opal Blue. LG V10 price in North America starts from USD 600. Personally, what do you think about this price tag compare to those LG V10 specs we mentioned above? Will the fact that 450,000 people have bought the phone makes you feel tempted in buying the same unit?
LG V10 unboxing: dual screens, dual front cams and 4GB RAM
After the flagship LG G4 launch, the Korean giant has not chosen LG G4 Pro or LG G5 to compete with other flagships on the market. Instead, it was a whole new smartphone called LG V10, said to be a “super premium” device for this H2 of 2015. When LG V10 launch happened, we could realize that V10 was a promising and ambitious phone when sporting many top specs and a gorgeous design. To know it more clearly, let’s have a look at LG V10 in real life when someone unboxed it!
So, the version in this case is an LG V10 Luxe White, also coming in a rectangular white box featuring V10 logo in the front surface. If you think the packing is kind of boring, perhaps the LG V10 handset can change your mind. It looks pretty big due to its 5.7-inch Quad HD main and 2.1-inch secondary display on the front, but impressive! By the way, we want to add more information about the smaller screen’s functions. Accroding to LG, it is to pop up notifications, show some useful app shortcuts, offer music controls, and display calendar events as well as your personal message.
Besides, the plastic cover feels normal though it is treated with Dura Skin (a kind of material which is soft to touch yet resistant to cut or scratch at the same time). On the rear, there are a volume and a power key (with fingerprint sensor built in).
To power the whole machine, Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC chip is put in charge. And will not let you wait for so long. Here are the table of LG V10 specs for you full view and its unboxing pictures. Enjoy 😉 !
| LG V10 Specs | |

In terms of LG V10 price, it is set at KRW 799,700, which is equivalent to a premium price tag of $700 (RM2,995), apparently competing with flagships like Samsung Galaxy Note 5, S6 edge Plus, Apple iPhone 6S, and 6S Plus.
In conclusion, we can say that this is a beautiful smartphone with new interesting features that we cannot find in other handset. However, though the price is somehow reasonable for what it has, it is still too much for many consumers to afford.
Smartphone PRO War: Best from Xiaomi, Meizu, ZTE, Lenovo and LG
Xiaomi Mi Note Pro, Meizu Pro 5, ZTE Axon Pro, Lenovo VIBE Z2 Pro and LG G4 Pro are the smartphones we will be checking today. So, at first, can you recognize what they all have in common? 😉
We guess you did! 😀
Yes, they all contain the word “PRO” in their names. But, the point is that we do not know if they are at the same level of strength in terms of specs, and in combination with the price, which one is the best. Therefore, we would like to make a comparison with those 5 great PRO phones, or in other words, we will let them join a PRO WAR and find out the winner!
SPECS and PRICES: What do you guys have?
In general, we have to say that those phones are so PRO! What they’ve got are the top specs in the mobile industry nowadays, which is why they are flagships of their own brands. Before digging deeper, we want to summarize a bit their “dates of birth” basing on their announcement dates.
Obviously, Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro is the oldest here when released in September, 2014. However, it still has some awesome features that the other do not have. What are they? We will know later. As for the youngest phone, it is LG G4 Pro. Though it has not been announced publicly, we spotted news about G4 Pro in the Q3 of 2015 and expected to hear something official about it in this quarter. For the others, orderly we have Xiaomi Mi Note Pro launch happening in January, 2015, then ZTE Axon Pro launch in July, 2015 and Meizu Pro 5 launch in September, 2015.
And now, let’s discuss a bit their dimensions and weights. Because those information for LG G4 Pro has not been available yet, we would like to compare the rest devices. The phones from Xiaomi, Meizu, and Lenovo share quite similar thicknesses while ZTE Axon Pro is pretty thicker. With 161 grams, Xiaomi Mi Note Pro is totally the lightest here and Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro is the heaviest due to 179 grams.
In terms of screen and processor, all of them have the sizes of phablets, ranging from 5.5 inches (Axon Pro) to 6 inches (Z2 Pro). On the other hand, Meizu Pro 5 really… stands out with only Full HD AMOLED display. Meanwhile, the others’ ones (even an old model like Lenovo Vibe Z2) are capable of Quad HD (2K) resolution, which also shows that QHD has been becoming a trend now. So why weren’t you, Meizu Pro 5? If Meizu had made it with the 2K, Meizu Pro 5 would have not lost this screen battle.
Not only the display but also the processor makes the Pro 5 different from its peers. It is like one Exynos-powered handset vs four Snapdragon-powered ones. Nonetheless, unlike the above comparison, this time it is not easy for Pro 5’s chip to lose. Exynos 7420 is the strongest in its kind at the moment and used for all powerful machines of the Samsung Galaxy S6 series and Samsung Galaxy Note 5, so it cannot be defeated by the Snapdragon 810 or 801. Anyhow, we have to choose Snapdragon 820 as the most powerful here since it is the latest chip of Qualcomm and obviously better than Snapdragon 810 and maybe the Exynos 7420.
In addition, one thing that can turn the phones into beasts is the RAM capacity. Since the world’s first 4GB RAM smartphone ASUS ZenFone 2, people are welcoming more and more 4GB RAM handsets now. As a result, we are not surprised when most of them boast such a big RAM and Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro only sports 3GB RAM. Easy to understand, right?! Last year was not the year of 4GB RAM.
Next, we want to talk about the camera. It is completely the LG G4 Pro to be the winner thanks to its combo of 27MP rear and 8MP front snapper, perfect for those who love taking photos 😉 ! The runner-up is Meizu Pro 5 with 21MP main and 5MP secondary shooter. They are still awesome cams so far! Though, we cannot ignore the ZTE Axon Pro. It is very interesting with the dual camera on the back. Therefore, we want to vote it as the most unique smartphone today. Do you agree 🙂 ?
Last but not least, it is about the battery. Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro absolutely beats the others because of its 4,000mAh cell. Then, if you own a Z2 Pro, you can comfortably use it in more than 24 hours with just a single charge. That is also the reason why we must have this Lenovo device in today’s battle.
Conclusion:
Well, those are the main sides of the above Pro phones we want to analyze. Their prices can be varied and different through time, but in fact, they are quite similar. As a result, you should consider them carefully and base on your needs to pick out the most suitable and best for yourself.
Guess that you have one winner in your mind 😉 ! Share with us!
LG G4 OS: World’s first phone to update Android 6.0 Marshmallow in…
Apart from Samsung, Korea also has LG as one of the giant smartphone companies. And in the next days, LG will make LG G4 the first phone in the world to be updated with Android 6.0 Marshmallow…
Yes, perhaps LG will become the first manufacturer in the world to get their phones updated with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow (of course, we do not count the Nexus deivces 😀 ).
However, like LG G3 before (when updated with Android 5.0 Lollipop), LG will start with Poland and other countries later. “Details of the Android M upgrade schedule and affected models will be announced in individual markets,” said LG.
Hopefully we will not have to wait so long! For those who are using or going to buy an LG G4, let’s add Android 6.0 into the LG G4 Specs 😉 !

LG V10 launch: 5.7″ 2K, 4GB RAM, dual selfie and dual displays!
The Korean giant has just launched their flagship LG V10 and it will go on sale in Korea this month and in the USA as well as other countries in the next one. However, LG V10 price has still not been unveiled yet!
As what we have heard so far, LG has started a new chapter for their new sub-brand recently by releasing the LG V10. Specially, the phone has a small secondary display placed right above the main 5.7-inch Quad HD (513ppi) one. Its function is to still be working though the main has been off. You can check time, weather, date or battery capacity left on this display. In case of working together, you can do normal things on the big screen and check for regularly used apps on the smaller one.
With this kind of feature, the new LG product is said to bring users great experience as they can be watching a movie and receiving notification of calls and messages at the same time without any interruption. Furthermore, the secondary screen can always display things but not waste much energy. Sounds awesome, right?!
In addition, one other selling point for the LG V10 is its 5MP dual front camera with two separate lenses that allows you to take either 80-degree selfies or up to 120 degrees ones. Explaining for this, LG says that V10 uses a software algorithm to combine the images taken from those 2 separate lenses; they are only far enough apart to give 2 different points of view. You will not have to worry that your shot cannot cover everyone 🙂 . Besides, a new Multi-view Mode is also present, so you can utilize both dual selfie and rear shooter to capture up to 4 different angles at one time. Isn’t it crazy?
For other LG V10 specs, let’s check out the following table:
| Device | LG V10 Specs |
|---|---|
| Display(s) | Primary: 5.7-inch IPS Quantum with Quad HD resolution (513ppi) Secondary: 2.1-inch IPS Quantum with 160 x 1040 resolution (513ppi) |

| GPU | Adreno 418 |
| RAM | 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM |
| Storage | 64GB (expandable up to 2TB) |
| Fingerprint scanner | Yes |
| Network | LTE-A Cat. 6 |
| Connectivity | Wi-Fi 802.11 a, b, g, n, ac / Bluetooth 4.1 / NFC / USB 2.0 |

Anyhow, the pricing information will be announced in the following weeks. So, stay tuned.

LG Class leak: 5″ screen and Snapdragon 615 to launch on Sep 21
LG Class is an upcoming product by LG company. That is quite a new name for an LG handset, and perhaps will even open a new series in the future. Check out what it has to amaze us!
Some live photos of this handset have been spread on the internet, giving us some hints as well as general ideas of how LG Class looks like. Specifically, it is made with metal material which brings premium feeling. According to some sources of news, the phone will be officially introduced in an even happening on 21 September, 2015 of LG.
LG Class leak: 5-inch screen instead of 5.7-inch one
Apart from the alloy cover, LG Class still seems to keep the typical design of LG. Physical buttons are placed on the back along with camera, creating a convex area. Moreover, the leaked images and the teaser LG released not long ago are alike.
In terms of LG Class specs, we anticipate that the screen size measures 5 inches, not 5.7 inches as listed on GFXBench before. In addition, the benchmark database also informs of some features of LG Class such as Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 1.5GHz chip, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable storage and a combo of 12 mega-pixel rear camera and 5 mega-pixel front one. Yet, we are afraid that there can be some changes when the phone come out since we see that the screen size is different already.
Besides that LG Class, it is likely that LG is preparing a launch for a new high-end smartphone. It will sport most LG G4 specs plus a small screen on the upper part of the phone. There has been no word made for its function, but we hope that the coming LG device will be able to surprise and satisfy consumers in general and LG fans in particular.
Let’s wait and see! How much do you think LG Class price in Malaysia will be?

LG G4 Pro leaked on TENАA with 5.7-inch Quad HD screen and 16MP cam?
LG is said to be preparing a new device called either LG G4 Pro or LG G4 Note. From the name, we guess it can be a phablet variant of the flagship LG G4. Some days ago, the LG G4 Pro wast claimed to be launched on October 10 with a plastic frame and a removable battery. But that was rumor. Lately, the LG G4 Pro has been spotted on TENAA page with another name. Let’s check out what details TENAA brings us!
After the LG G4 was released, many people believed that the company had been developing their next product which was also believed to be called LG G4 Pro. However, it seems that the phone will have a totally different name. Looking at the pictures provided by TENAA, we see “V10” written on the back of the phone. That is why we think LG V10 is the official one. Besides, it is more certain now that the machine’s back cover will be able to be removed and still made of plastic material.
Spec-wise, LG V10 is not very different from its predecessor. For example, LG V10 will be equipped with a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chip, 3GB RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. As for the camera, there are a 16MP rear cam with a laser autofocus unit and a dual-LED flash, and a 5MP front shooter to help you take beautiful pictures.
Yet, one special thing about this LG V10 goes to its secondary screen placed on the front surface, below the speaker and selfie snapper. It somehow reminds us of Samsung Continuum, an Android smartphone launched in 2010.
Then, in conclusion, TENAA actually did not give us much info about this high-end phone but its appearance. So, what are your thinking about its look and prediction about LG V10 specs? Share with us 🙂 !
