Reportedly, the picture photo is of Sao Paulo Police Department. The story of Sony Xperia C5 Ultra’s appearance is also quite interesting. The phone appeared at the policemen’s place because it was a stolen unit, going missing at a Brazilian certification agency (Anatel) and getting advertised on Facebook for an auction. Then, the Brazilian policemen retrieved it and released a report of the whole process with the above picture. And that somehow confirmed the borderless design of Sony Xperia C5 Ultra, which is also its key feature.

The rest of Sony Xperia C5 Ultra specs include a MediaTek MT6752 octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 13MP rear and 13MP front cameras with LED flash. Definitely selfie lovers will fall for this guy.

Now we just need to wait a bit more until the Sony Xperia C5 Ultra launch since it was sent for certifications. Hopefully, Sony company will unveil everything in the next days, including Sony Xperia C5 Ultra price.

Motorola Moto X Pro

Asus ZenFone 2

The latest in the Asus ZenFone line was announced back in January this year during CES in Las Vegas. ZenFone 2 is attracting many people these days. We can say that Asus managed to surprise a lot of people when they announced the 4GB variant of the ZenFone 2. The device is made with metallic back and general styling. It has 5.5” display Full HD. The ZenFone 2 is an Intel-powered handset. It has a quad-core 64-bit 2.3GHz Z3580 Atom processor, a 3,000mAh battery, and 32/64 GB of storage. Rounding off the back is a 13MP f/2.0 camera with a dual LED flash and the front is a 5MP front snapper. It offers really decent specs and it’s quite affordable as well.

Meizu M2 Note

The Meizu M2 Note has been announced quite recently. This is a mid-range offering by the company, and a really solid one at that. In terms of Meizu M2 Note Specs, it has 5.5-inch 1080p screen, 2GB RAM and 16GB or 32GB expandable storage. The whole phone will be powered by an octa-core MT6752 64-bit processor with Cat 9 LTE support, and equipped with a combo of a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing shooter. Also, the handset will support 4G LTE connectivity and Android 5.1 Lollipop with Meizu’s Flyme OS on top.

It seems like Lenovo knows how to compete with other smartphone brands on the market. As we know, they have Lenovo K80 boasting the powerful 4GB RAM but with a lower price compared to ASUS ZenFone 2 4GB RAM. That has been making many phone consumers feel hard when deciding to choose between them. And now, Lenovo will probably introduce something impressive to compete with the new Doogee device called HomTom, featuring a huge 6,250mAh battery.

If it is about a new handset from Lenovo, that can be the Lenovo Vibe P1, which was spotted not long ago. According to some recent rumors, Lenovo will equip their Vibe P1 with a large battery like Doogee HomTom, which means the Lenovo Vibe P1 battery can be capable of more than 5,000mAh.

However, the sources also mentioned that the new Lenovo machine is not likely to own a similar 6,250mAh or more battery. So, we wonder if that is the case, perhaps Lenovo will take the price to be their product’s key selling point again. The idea of a phone with a pretty big battery, over 5,000mAh, and an affordable price is attractive for sure.

Though, we find the new rumors are quite contradictory to what was revealed on TENAA. Back to few weeks ago, Lenovo Vibe P1 appeared on TENAA with some Lenovo Vibe P1 specs, including a 5-inch HD display, a Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB ROM, an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP front snapper and a 4,000mAh battery. So, which one is correct? 4,000 or 5,000+? Of course we hope it would be more than 5,000mAh to enable us to use the phone more than 24 hours.

To recap, once again we hear something interesting from Lenovo. They are going to release the new Lenovo Vibe P1 in the new future and if it does sport a 5,000+mAh battery, that will be totally awesome.

Remember the time in November last year, Microsoft has said all devices running Windows Phone 8 will be officially upgraded to Windows 10 Mobile. However, according to information from the site Neowin, Windows 10 Mobile can only be run on a certain number Lumia line.

Specifically, Microsoft announced on its homepage:
These devices are in the following list will be upgraded to Windows 10 Mobile for free, including: Lumia 430, Lumia 435, Lumia 532, Lumia 535, Lumia 540, Lumia 640, Lumia 640 XL, Lumia 735, Lumia 830, and the premium Lumia 930. smartphone

Lately, we are informed that the European Commission has approved the request of buying Alcatel-Lucent from Nokia. This is such a new move in Nokia’s strategy to come back next year.

As far as we know, Alcatel-Lucent S.A. is a French global telecommunications equipment company, whose headquarter is based in Boulogne-Billancourt, France. Though it can be a not-so-familiar name on the mobile market in Asia, it is still a monster in the tech industry.

We think that the merging between Nokia and Alcatel, they will become a strong competitor against Samsung company with highest sale report currently as well as other giants. On the other hand, if only looking at the the EU market, the European Commision has another idea. When considered and agreed with the proposal of Nokia, they concluded that the acquisition “would not raise competition concerns” between many other well-known members in the market, namely Ericsson, Huawei, Samsung and ZTE. In addition, the merger would not “make it harder for new or small players to enter and expand in the market.”

Besides that, Nokia CEO Rajeev Suri is reported to run the new emerged company in China and take on contracts with the 2 biggest U.S. carriers: Verizon Communications and AT&T.

As we all know, the wireless charging technology as current on Galaxy S6 & S6 Edge can only pass through the devices which are not metal. This is also a problem with the wireless charging technology that don’t use additional accessories such as matal back cover. And today Qualcomm announced the WiPower technology that can overcome this problem.

Qualcomm is said to be the first company to find out the wireless charging for devices have metal cover. This called “Qualcomm WiPower” which is not based on the well-known Qi and PMA standards, instead relying on a the Rezence wireless charging standard.

The company did not describe in detail how they can transfer energy through the metal shell, perhaps this is a trade secret should want to keep.

Up to the present time, most of the equipment usually integrated wireless charging using plastic or glass cover. If there is a small metal obstruction such as coin or key, the power can still pass through, but if the cover is metal, then the the process cannot made. Recently, there has been a Xiaomi phone codenamed Xiaomi Arch spotted on the internet. Many people think that it can be the nickname they call Xiaomi Mi5 internally, like Microsoft calls Lumia 950 Talkman and Lumia 950XL Cityman.

The leaked photo was posted by a  Weibo user @KJuma not long ago. Looking at the picture, we see that Xiaomi Arch owns a curved front glass panel a bit similar to Samsung Galaxy S6 edge. On the other hand, some consider that it looks like Xiaomi Mi3 with an alloy chassis.

However, there is also a possibility that Xiaomi Arch would be a totally new phone which could mark a new chapter of Xiaomi edge series. If that really happened, what would you think about that new Xiaomi sub-range? A curved Xiaomi Mi5 also seems to be a good idea. It would bring new impression and feeling. Maybe, it is time for Xiaomi to do something different for their flagship phone.
