Best 5 Chinese Smartphones with big cells and long battery life
You usually hear about handsets coming with hug batteries, but which ones are the best in terms of battery life? Here is your answer: Best 5 Chinese smartphones with the best battery life*.
Best 5 Chinese Smartphones with big cells and long battery life
1. Starmobile UP Max: 15 hours and 26 minutes
Despite being a modest phone because the Starmobile UP Max specs include a 5-inch HD display with Dragontrail Glass, a MediaTek quad-core CPU, Mali-400 MP2 GPU, and 1GB RAM, it has other things to be proud of. Besides the 13MP Sony Exmor RS camera and ISDB-T Digital TV supporting, it packs a big 5,000mAh battery. As we can see, the entry-level specifications somehow helps UP Max to last very long: 15 hours and 26 minutes. In the end, that seems a wise combination, right?!
Starmobile UP Max Price: ~RM680
2. Lenovo Vibe P1: 13 hours and 41 minutes
Lenovo Vibe P1 is known for its huge battery, 5,000mAh to be specific, and some other Lenovo Vibe P1 specs are also pretty good. A 5.5-inch Full HD display, a Snapdragon 615 octa-core chip, Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB RAM, a fingerprint scanner, and a dual SIM LTE are on-board to serve all your needs in working, studying and relaxing. Specially, Vibe P1 is able to last 13 hours and 41 minutes. So, you don’t have to worry about its battery life!
Lenovo Vibe P1 Price: ~RM1,360
3. Infinix Hot Note: 13 hours and 15 minutes
Next, we have to phablet Infinix Hot Note. It sports a 5.5-inch HD display, a MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor, Mali-450 GPU, a dual SIM and 2GB RAM. Unfortunately, it does not support 4G LTE but the phone’s large 4,000mAh battery can some compensate for that. Furthermore, you have 13 hours and 15 minutes to use the Hot Note every single charge.
Infinix Hot Note Price: ~RM545
4. ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE550KL): 12 hours and 31 minutes
Yeah, we are glad to see an ASUS’s representative here. And what impressed us is that ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser ZE550KL batt is only capable of 3,000mAh, yet its battery life is so great: 12 hours and 31 minutes. Other ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser specs have a 5.5-inch HD display with Gorilla Glass 4, a Snapdragon 410 quad-core chipset, Adreno 306 GPU, 2GB RAM, and 13MP rear camera with Laser AF (what made it named “Laser”).
ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser Price: ~RM730
5. O+ Ultra: 11 hours and 24 minutes
This seems a strange name. It can be an entry smartphone with a 5.5-inch HD display, a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 quad-core chip, Mali-400 MP2 GPU, and 1GB RAM. However, O+ Ultra’s cell can beat a lot of other mid-range phones’ thanks to its 4,000mAh battery, which is not very common for Android devices. That is why it can live for 11 hours and 24 minutes.
O+ Ultra Price: ~RM675
And there you go. They are the best 5 Android smartphones produced by Chinese makers with the longest battery life. In general, they all boast big cells (except for the Laser) and from entry to mid-range specs. What do you think about them?

(*) The battery life results are based on the scores provided by PCMark for Android Benchmark app for some specific smartphones.
Samsung W2016 launch: Flip phone design but powerful like Galaxy S6
Samsung China has just introduced their new product called Samsung W2016 recently. Specially, it is designed as a flip phone. The specifications also make us a bit surprised when being as strong as the flagship Samsung Galaxy S6. Wow, can you believe that?
Samsung W2016 – A Samsung Galaxy S6 “stuck” inside a flip phone
If we observe carefully, we will notice that a part of the Samsung W2016 looks similar to the Galaxy S6. In general, this is a flip phone whose top half contains 2 screens (3.9-inch 1280 x 768 pixels AMOLED display each), and bottom half has a T9 numeric keypad and a battery. The machine weighs 204 grams, measures 15.1 mm of thickness (when closed) and allows you to choose between gold or silver color.
In terms of Samsung W2016 specs, there are an Exynos 7420 chip, 3GB RAM, 64GB ROM, TouchWiz OS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, a dual SIM, and a 2,000mAh battery equipped with fast-charging tech (though, in fact it is smaller than Galaxy S6 batt). As for the camera combo, W2016 sports a 16MP primary and a 5MP secondary to help you take quality photos.
Well, maybe the giant Korean smartphone maker is wanting to bring back the golden time of flip phones but at a higher level. We cannot deny that the Samsung W2016’s design and features are of an Android flagship. Therefore, Samsung W2016 can totally be the king of its kind at the moment. Do you agree?
Samsung W2016 price and avalaibility
Despite receiving a quiet official launch, W2016 is still a device we cannot ignore since it is so beautiful and powerful. Unfortunately, Samsung W2016 price and its eventual availability outside of China have not been unveiled yet. Let’s wait for the company’s announcement!
New Sony Xperia phone to consider: 2K screen and 4GB RAM?
Today we would like to introduce a potential design for a new Sony Xperia smartphone. It has a unibody with the look quite similar to Nokia N9 and Lumia phones, but still gorgeous in its own way…
New Sony Xperia design – Perfect from the bottom to the top!
The design was created by Stephane Pietroiusti, but the designer did not give it a name; we just know it is likely to belong to Sony Xperia series. In addition, perhaps the phone’s look was inspired by Nokia N9 or Lumia line-up since they are pretty alike. Anyhow, the unibody and rounded corners of this Sony Xperia smartphone gives us a feeling it is very sturdy. Nothing like that has been seen before!
Moreover, the cover seems to be made of metal and polycarbonate material. And the volume buttons placed on one side of the handset are bigger, so that you can adjust the sound very easily. Specially, we are impressed with the device’s back. Some patterns are applied to make it less plain and boring.
As for the Sony Xperia specs, unfortunately there is not much information related to them. However, in case of bringing it to life, Sony surely will equip it with top features such as a Quad HD (aka 2K) screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip (the strongest and newest now), a 21MP Sony rear and 8MP front camera, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, a 3,500mAh battery 4GB RAM to be basic. Are they enough for this Sony product to become a hot item?
New Sony Xperia phone price and availability
As Sony has just released their flagship Sony Xperia Z5 series and 2016 is approaching, we hope that the company will use Mr. Pietroiusti’s design for their next machine. Besides, expectation is that it will come with a reasonable cost such as $400. What do you think?
Vivo X6 to come along with deca-core chip, 5GB RAM and 21MP cam
We are heading to the end of November when the launch of the first 5GB RAM smartphone in the world – Vivo X6 launch, will occur. Recently, we have been informed that its variant called Vivo X6 Plus will also debut!
Vivo X6 & Vivo X6 Plus – World’s first 5GB RAM couple is on the way…
This is really a powerful duo you will be seeing on November 30, 2015: Vivo X6 and Vivo X6 Plus. Besides, we also hear that Vivo X6 Plus will have 2 version known as Vivo X6 Plus L and Vivo X6 Plus D. They have already passed TENAA – China’s state telecommunications certification authority to be ready to go on sale in the next weeks.
According to some news sources, Vivo X6 Plus specs are said to include a 5.7-inch Quad HD display with Force Touch tech. However, there is a “weird” thing about the Plus version. We predicted that it would be bigger than the original smartphone, yet some reliable information tells us that Vivo X6 will sport a 6-inch screen but just with Full HD resolution.
Other Vivo X6 Plus specs feature a MediaTek MT6797 chip (aka Helio X20 deca-core), a set of 4GB RAM and 1GB RAM dedicated to graphics, and 32GB of internal storage. As for the camera, the Plus is equipped with a 21MP on the rear and an up to 12MP snapper on the front surface. Moreover, the whole handset will be powered by a 4,000mAh battery.
Vivo X6 & Vivo X6 Plus price and availability
Vivo X6 as well as Vivo X6 Plus release date has been confirmed officially to be on November 20, 2015. Nonetheless, Vivo X6 price and X6 Plus price have been still a secret. Though, with such packages of specs, we assume the cost can range from RM1,300 to RM1,500. What do you think?
6 most beautiful iPhone 7 concepts you can’t stop looking at
iPhone 6S and 6S Plus were just launched recently in 2015 and there will be a long way to go before Apple introduces iPhone 7. However, we already have over the internet many beautiful and creative iPhone 7 concept designs. Here are some of them.
iPhone 7 concept designs – creativity has no limit
The first iPhone 7 concept we want to introduce belongs to talented Mesut G. Designs. The handset is inspired by a real smartphone by Apple, adapting Samsung’s famous curved display. Next, we have a very realistic iPhone 7 concept by a Czech student named Marek Weidlich. His iPhone 7 is obviously inspired by Apple smartwatch interface with iOS 10 under the hood. You can also notice the physical home button is missing on this design.
Coming up next is a beautiful bezel-less iPhone 7 concept design, another artwork by Mesut G. The handset also feature a curved display like that of Galaxy S6 Edge, with neon-light home button located right on the screen. In contrast, we have the 4th iPhone 7 concept design, with all metal body and very solid (yet still slim) bezels. This design is anonymous for now, and stands out from the rest with a very catchy back color: bright red, blue and gold!
Last but not least, we want to introduce 2 other practical designs for the iPhone 7 smartphone. One looks like a machine already in real life, with grey metal body, but without physical home button. The other, by designer Vuk Nemanja Zoraja, looks like an actual iPhone 6S getting upgraded. The typical Home button is remained, but the screen is made bigger and the rears become slimmer.
iPhone 7 concept designs – predicting the future
Although each of the 6 iPhone 7 concept carries a separate signature from each different designer, they do share some particular features in common. I have notice, most of the artists prefer a non-physical home button, a bigger screen and as slim bezels as possible. I can’t be more excited to know which design looks most similar to the upcoming iPhone 7…
Lenovo Vibe X3 vs Lenovo Vibe S1: 3GB RAM and 8MP front cam battle
Lenovo Vibe X3 has launched recently with strong 3GB RAM and a fantastic 21MP camera. Not long before that, the company also introduced a smartphone called Lenovo Vibe S1 also equipped with 3GB RAM and a special front cam. So, how are they different from each other?
Lenovo Vibe X3 vs Lenovo Vibe S1 – Two best smartphones of the year from Lenovo
| Lenovo Vibe S1 Specs | Lenovo Vibe X3 Specs | |
| Dimensions | 143.3 x 70.8 x 7.8 mm | 154 x 76.5 x 9.3 mm |
| Weight | 132 g | 175 g |
| Display | 5.0-inch FHD | 5.5-inch FHD |
| OS | Android (5.0) | Android 5.1.1 Lollipop |
| Processor | MediaTek MT6752 | Snapdragon 808 |
| ROM | 32 GB (expandable) | 32/64 GB (expandable) |
| RAM | 3 GB | 3 GB |
| Camera | Rear: 13 MPFront (dual camera): 8 MP + 2 MP | Rear: 23 MPFront: 8 MP |
| Battery | 2,500 mAh | 3,600 mAh |
| SIM | Dual SIM | Dual SIM |
For a general look at their designs, we see that the X3 is bigger, thicker and heavier than the S1, which can be understood easily since it has a bigger screen: 5.5 FHD inches vs 5.0 FHD inches, respectively. So, they seem to represent a true smartphone and a true phablet in this comparison. Despite being not as big as its sibling, the S1 has higher pixel density: 441ppi vs 401ppi.
For other specs, it is obvious that the phones are mainly different from each other in terms of processor, camera and battery. The MediaTek and Snapdragon chip are all strong but there are some minor differences you need to know. The MT6752 chipset has an integrated LTE cellular chip capable of downloading at faster speeds while SD 808 does not. However, SD 808 has something more special. It uses big.LITTLE tech to switch between two sets of processor cores with a purpose of maximizing performance and battery life. For instance, if you play games, the stronger cores will be used but if you just need to check emails, the less powerful cores will be used in order to increase the handset’s battery life. By the way, we want to note the Vibe X3’s cell is larger than its competitor’s and surely will enable the device to last longer.
About camera, we cannot deny that Lenovo Vibe X3 totally beats the Vibe S1 thanks to its 23MP rear snapper. Actually, we did not think that someday Lenovo would focus on the ability of taking photos, but they have somewhat succeeded in surprising us with the X3’s cam. Even the front one is awesome for selfie lovers when capable of 8 megapixels. Nonetheless, S1 is the winner due to its dual shooter: one an 8MP and the other is 2MP. The former is to capture the picture while the latter is to add the depth-of-field effect to the pic by blurring the background. We have seen a similar setup earlier too, but only in rear cameras.
Lenovo Vibe X3 vs Lenovo Vibe S1 – Will price decide which one is the winner?
The Lenovo Vibe X3 price for the 32GB version is 2,499 Yuan or $390 approximately, and 2,999 Yuan or $470 for the 64GB ver. Meanwhile, Lenovo Vibe S1 price is $299, which is definitely more affordable than the X3, yet keep in mind it is a smaller smartphone. So, which one do you prefer? Share with us!

Next, we have Haier Hai Le 3 whose specs are a 5-inch display, a 5MP front plus an 8MP rear camera, and a 1,800mAh battery. As for the design, the phone is built with dual 2.5D glass panels and a thin 7.2mm chassis, easy to hold in your palm and put in your pocket. Yet, actually, we think this company will have to try more if they want to develop their smartphone brand besides their well-known large TV and electronics business. Haier Hai Le price is 998 Yuan (RM670), which is very affordable for consumers.
7. Green Orange M4
This is a mid-range device built with a metal chassis and plastic back panels. There is a fingerprint scanner located right below its 13MP f/2.0 PDAF snapper. Other Green Orange M4 specs pack an octa-core MT6753 1.5GHz chip, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM, and a 5-inch display. Green Orange M4 price is 1,599 Yuan (RM1,070) yet only white versions are available at the moment.
8. Kingzone K2
Another 5.0-inch machine we want to mention is Kingzone K2. 5 “CRAZIEST” smartphones launched in 2015: 13MP front cam, dual screen and…
Huawei, Samsung, LG, Sony and Motorola are the 5 manufacturers that have produced the following “CRAZIEST” smartphones this year. Check them out now to see why we call them that way!
5 “CRAZIEST” smartphones launched in 2015
1. Huawei ShotX (aka Huawei Honor 7i)
This Huawei product has a special flipping camera which enables you to take quality photos. Moreover, though there is only one 13MP snapper, you can use it for selfies. According to the company, users can even flip the cam up to 132 times a day and it will be still in good condition during at least 2 years. Besides, ShotX features a fingerprint sensor built in the home button placed on one side of the handset, making it easier to unlock the phone. Other Huawei ShotX specs include a 5.2-inch Full HD screen, a Snapdragon 616 chip, 2/3GB RAM, 16/32GB ROM and a 3,100mAh battery.
2. LG V10
3. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium
While both researchers and ordinary users show that human’s eyes cannot tell differences between a Full HD and a Quad HD display from a normal view distance, Sony has been brave to break through their limit to release the world’s first commercial 4K smartphone (which is Sony Xperia Z5 Premium as we know). Accordingly, the Premium is also the device having the record ppi (over 800ppi) for a 5.5-inch display. That’s crazy!
4. Motorola Droid Turbo 2
Motorola has come back recently with Motorola Droid Turbo 2 with ShatterShield display technology known as a shatterproof screen supposedly unbreakable. There are five layers from bottom to top: a rigid aluminum core, an AMOLED flexible display, a dual touch layer, an interior lens and an exterior lens. Even Motorola is so confident of their handset that a four-year warranty against shattering and cracking for the display and embedded lens is include when you purchase a Turbo 2.
5. Samsung Galaxy S6 edge
Samsung Galaxy S6 edge is listed here because of its “weird” beautiful design. Their bezels are curved, which is a good base for Samsung to come up with as well as develop many exclusive functions for an edge phone. Some Samsung Galaxy S6 edge specs are a 5.1-inch 2K screen, an Exynos 7420 chip, 3GB RAM, a 16MP/5MP camera set, and a 2,600mAh battery.
So, those are the 5 “craziest” smartphones we’ve got this year. They are very special, right? But which one do you like most? Share with us!
