Nokia smartphone 2016: leaking with real image
Rumors about Nokia comeback in 2016 has been spreading for several months now. And the most current statement by Nokia CEO Rajeev Suri just made it even more official. On the very first days of 2016, an alleged image spotted on Weibo – a reputed Chinese website, is making Nokia fans all over the world very excited. Now that the New year is already here, and that the big day is coming close, it is natural and predictable that our tech forums will soon be full of Nokia news.
Beside this leaking image on Weibo, there is no other additional information. This means we can not say which model is this phone as well as the specs it is going to feature. However, based on the picture only, we can tell the this latest Nokia smartphone is all metal and measure around 5.0 to 5.5 inch display. Also, if you look closely, you can see the typical Nokia brand on the back of the device, making it a bit more official.
From what we know about Nokia comeback 2016 up till now, it is very possible that the image we see here is the long-expecting Nokia C1, which were earlier said to be powered by both Android and Windows OS. Also, recent sources are even now hinting not one, but three brand new Nokia smartphones already being developed by Nokia, and likely to hit the shelf soon this year.
Nokia 2016: developing 3 smartphones for grand comeback
We have heard a lot about Nokia comeback 2016, but I bet not many of you expected the company with be working on all 3 smartphones at the same time. From what we know, the Legend will use pretty much the same method when they produced Nokia N1 tablet earlier – Nokia design and production by a third-party manufacturer, possibly Foxconn.

Nokia 1008 – unique twisting camera
This latest smartphone we saw with Nokia brand on it, is called the Nokia Lumia 1008, or Nokia Catwalk, with a very catchy design and unique camera module. Nokia 1008 camera sports a 38MP Pureview sensor. What makes it special is that, this camera is a twisting barrel one that can go 360 degree and allow photos captured under any angle to have the same high quality. To make it even more interesting, the phone body is still kept very slim and elegant despite the significant camera module.
Talking about Nokia 1008 specs, the phone will run on Windows 8 Blue OS, though we really expect it will have another Android variant to meet up with public demand. There will be a 2GB RAM, 32GB ROM and Snapdragon 600 to power the device. Nokia 1008 display features a handy 4.5 Puremotion HD+ and will comes in a full alloy body to give it a premium feel on your hand. One more special thing is that, Nokia 1008 will have Double LED flash, one of which used as light notification.
Nokia 1008 is designed by Edgar Mkrtchyan from My Deam Nokia network. He has also equipped his render phone with wireless charging and a back cover that is subjected to multiple designs simply customized by 3D printer. An interesting addition are light notification LEDs. Although Nokia 1008, or Nokia Catwalk is for now a concept design, we really hope this lovely handset will be picked and produced by the legend.
Nokia 1008 – elegant at first sight, premium till the last
Elegant in design, premium with the choice of top specs and an offer of unique features are exactly all that make Nokia 1008 – or Nokia Catwalk smartphone a very desirable one for many users. If you like this one, let’s hope it will come real some time soon. And I just can’t wait for Nokia Comeback later this year.
Nokia N2: 6 inch display, 4GB RAM and 21MP Pureview
Any Nokia fan knows that Nokia is coming back to the smartphone market in 2016, with a bunch of good ideas for upcoming new Nokia phones. Today, we spotted another: Nokia N2 featuring a fresh look
Nokia N2 – the next beast of Nokia rebirth
Nokia’s purchase of Alcatel Lucent has made all of us excited and may bring up many surprises. Designer David Quijada predicts that the giant will produce a new era with brand new products we never seen before. One of those include the one we are talking about: Nokia N2 with a bold impressive appearance and awesome specs. This Nokia N2 has all the potential it takes to become the rebirth of Nokia in the smartphone market.
Looking at the image above, you can tell that it brings the impression of a big smartphone – at the size of around 6 inch display. In terms of Nokia N2 specs, we have a Snapdragon 810 CPU, and edge to edge screen with OLED panel and beautiful FHD resolution. Nokia N2 cameras will be what we all love: 21MP Pureview sensor on the back and 8MP selfie shooter on the front. Both come with LED flashes for better shots under low light conditions.
Nokia N2 is designed to carry some special favorable features too. The phone will have 3D Touch, a huge 64GB internal storage, 4G LTE and NFC charge. We will have Cortana and an optic scanner on board. There is no information about the Nokia N2 RAM capability yet, but with other premium specs the phone already have, a 4GB RAM or bigger will make it an ideal device.
Nokia N2 – reasonable price for impressive specs
For now, please keep in mind that, Nokia N2 is still a render design by Designer David Quijada. But it has so much potential of reaching mass production when Nokia comes back in 2016, which is just a few month ahead of us. We hope that as Nokia already targeted some budget flagships like Nokia E1, this Nokia N2 will also have a very reasonable price tag, compared to what it has.
Nokia CEO: smartphone battery needs to last up to 10 years
We all know that Nokia comeback to the smartphone market has been confirmed by Nokia CEO Rajiv. But little were we informed about any specific plan upon their grand event. But Rajiv has just share his personal thought about…
Nokia CEO: smartphone battery should last 10 years
Several weeks earlier, the piece of information we have expected for so long was finally confirmed by Nokia: The Legend is coming back to producing smartphone devices starting 2016. On welcoming this, Former Nokia executive Richard Kerris had said that : “They are also developing more great products. They gave me enough confidence to make me believe that Nokia did not fail.” Such a proud statement is hinting and assuring us that Nokia is planning something real big this time.
When asked about which was his biggest concern about smartphones nowadays, in World Internet Conference closing ceremony, Nokia CEO Rajiv said that : “In the present, because one of the very significant problems of smartphone is the battery, you need to solve the battery problem, let it be over 10 years of life”. Smartphone battery is currently on of the first part to be damaged, and the leader of Nokia hints that it should last much longer.
It is very understandable why Nokia concerns that much about the longevity of smartphone battery, since their mobile devices are known all around the world for the high quality and long lasting feature. Many use a Nokia phone since they were still a teenager, and until adult, though they have changed to several other phone, the Nokia still remains good.
Nokia comeback: to bring a solution for smartphone battery?
Although Rajiv did not imply whether their company will work on the phone battery, by raising the problem for the world to see, we can really expect some improvement coming on the way, either from Nokia or other producers who see the same issue. As 2016 is coming near by, and Nokia is about to launch a new phone, let’s keep calm and wait a bit more to see what it will be. (Source)

So, we don’t want to mention their beauty since we bet you’ve already had the apple of your eyes, right?! The the things that matter here are their hardware and prices. In general, we can see 3 of them are mid-range phones with some high-end features while the other is a more premium one. Yet, of course those devices have their own strengths and weaknesses. Firstly, talking about screen size and resolution, we notice there are 2 phablets (5.5-inch) and 2 smartphones (5.0-inch) and they all come with Full HD. Therefore, if you like big machines, Note 3 or X3 are is a good choice.
Secondly, as for processor, there are 1 MediaTek chip and 2 Snapdragon ones, and the other is from Intel. They can give you great experience in using the phones for basic tasks and entertaining, so don’t worry. However, in terms of camera, differences are clearer. OP X and Vibe X3 are equipped with up to 8MP front cams which can create gorgeous selfies for sure. Meanwhile, X3 (again) and Nokia E1 really stand out with their excellent rear snappers (23MP and 20MP PureView, respectively).
Last but not least, it is battery. The champion is Redmi Note 3 with 4,000mAh cell and the runner-up is Vibe X3 with 3,600mAh. Those guys will last longer to help you work, study and play. Nonetheless, tit doesn’t mean the remainder are not good. They can also save energy pretty well due to the small sizes and some lower-end specs.
Nokia E1 VS Redmi Note 3 VS Vibe X3 VS OnePlus X: Prices matter!
Yes, we can’t deny price is an important factor when it comes to buying a new handset. Though Vibe X3 is generally the most advanced phone here, Lenovo Vibe X3 price (~$400) is kind of more expensive than the rest. OnePlus X price is $249, which is more affordable, yet the most budget ones are Note 3 and Nokia E1: ~$170 (3GB RAM) and ~$200 for Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 price and Nokia E1 price. Then, what do you think about them? Which one is the best?
Nokia E1 VS Lenovo Vibe X3: budget flagship from giant brands
Nokia E1 VS Lenovo Vibe X3 are 2 awesome flagships from 2 of the biggest smartphone producers in the world, with super cool specs for surprisingly affordable price tags. Therefore, we now put them together in a comparison…
Nokia E1 VS Lenovo Vibe X3: Budget bugs from the giants
Both Nokia E1 VS Lenovo Vibe X3 are catching huge attention for what they have to offer despite the affordable prices. Nokia E1, costing around USD 250, goes with a handy 4.9 inch display, 2GB RAM, Android 6.0 OS and more amazingly, a 20MP Pureview camera! Meanwhile, for a price tag of around USD 350, Lenovo Vibe X3 features some of the most premium specs you can ask for: 5.5”, 3GB RAM, 3600 mAH and a whooping 23MP rear camera! Hmm, you are loving them, aren’t you?
Though both are among top choices in our market nowadays, Nokia E1 VS Lenovo Vibe X3 obviously stands out from one another as well as other competitors. Nokia E1 will sell super well for being one of the first Nokia Android phones in their comeback 2016. The smartphone is also a design winner, which I am sure everyone will love at first sight. Lenovo Vibe X3, on the other hand, remarks itself for covering all of the best stuff in just one machine. It even comes with a huge internal storage and Dual SIM.
Lenovo Vibe X3 is definitely leading in terms of specs, with a bigger RAM, bigger battery and bigger camera. However, the fact that Nokia E1 is from the greatest smartphone legend in the world – Nokia, is already a huge advantage. Moreover, it seems that Nokia E1 will be slightly cheaper in price, which also contributes to your vote of the winner!
Nokia E1 VS Lenovo Vibe X3: worth every penny
With what they are packing on board, both handsets are cool enough to be saving for and waiting for, don’t you agree? I have heard that a lot of people would buy the Nokia E1 because they are just in love with its Pureview camera. Meanwhile, it seems like many others are gathering money to grab the Lenovo Vibe X3 – for it is such a powerful beast with elegant design!
Nokia 1100 Pureview VS Nokia 3310 Pureview: the reborn of Nokia best sellers
Here we goes again! We will bring you one of our favorite topics to discuss on PricePony today. It is smartphone comparison. More specifically, Nokia 1100 PureView vs Nokai 3310 PureView. Are you excited? Let’s see what similarities and differences they have.
Nokia 1100 PureView vs Nokia 3310 PureView means Legend Battle
Firstly, it is easy to see that they both have very different designs. Nokia 1100 is a smartphone version of the Nokia 1100 basic phone. Though it has a stylized back cover from the original Nokia 1100, the handset does look like many smartphones on the market nowadays. In general, it is beautiful with super slim borders and there is no physical home button on the front surface. Meanwhile, Nokia 3310 smartphone design is very close to its original design. Or, we can say that the keyboard is turned into a screen also and the rest of the machine are remained, which makes Nokia 3310 new version so special. As a result, we cannot tell you to choose any of them. We’ll leave it up to you!
Secondly, spec-wise, there are some great differences we want to talk about. Besides the similar PureView sensor they both have, Nokia 3310 is said to sport a 41MP rear camera with Zeiss optics and Xenon flash while Nokia 1100 smartphone has the primary cam as a secret weapon. The information has not been revealed yet, but according to some sources, it can be around 20 megapixels, which is completely lower than the 3310. However, other Nokia 1100 specs are much more powerful since they include Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, a Quad HD display and 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM. As for Nokia 3310 specs, it boasts Windows Phone OS, a Full HD display and 2 GB of RAM.
Price and Availability
Last but not least, you may want to know their prices and release dates. They are expected to be introduced when Nokia comes back next year. And to compete immediately with other mobile devices, Nokia would not let the price become a barrier between them and customers. Therefore, both Nokia products in this comparison are likely to cost around RM1,500, which can be varied slightly.
Anyhow, we will return to this topic and update more details. Now, tell me which one do you prefer? Nokia 3310 or Nokia 1100?
Nokia E1 vs Nokia E7: Best of Nokia E series with 20MP Pureview
You know Nokia E7 and you also know Nokia E1 which is an important part of Nokia comeback. They seem belong to the same E series but there are some great differences between them. Check them out, now!
Nokia E1 – The best successor to Nokia E7
Actually E7 and E1 are somewhat similar in the look with curved corners. However, E7 has a full QWERTY keyboard under the screen which you have to slide if wanting to use the keyboard. As a result, E7 is surely thicker than E1. In general, in case of preferring something more “manly”, E7 is perfect, yet it should be more elegant, E1 is the number one.
About the specs, firstly, no doubt that they do not feature the same operating system. Nokia E1 is likely to go with Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and Nokia Z Launcher while Nokia E7 obviously comes with Symbian 3 (upgradable to Nokia Belle OS). As for the display, the difference is also noticeable. E7 has a 4.0-inch 360 x 640 pixels screen and E1 a 4.95-inch Full HD IPS one. It shows they both are truly smartphones; you can put them in your pocket easily but the resolution of E1 is much better.
In terms of chipset, being powered by a 2.3GHz Intel 64-bit Atom chip paired with PowerVR G6430 graphics makes Nokia E1 stronger than Nokia E7’s processor (including 680 MHz ARM 11 and Broadcom BCM2727). Besides, some other Nokia E1 specs are 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 2700 mAh battery, a 20MP rear and 5MP front-facing shooter. Meanwhile, Nokia E7 specs offer an 8MP cam with a dual LED flash, a 1,200mAh battery, 16GB ROM and 256MB RAM. Needless to say, E1 is the best if we consider this a battle. Nonetheless, at the end of the day, we would like to see them as a predecessor and a successor. And it is so great to see the latter is the better.
One was running on Symbian OS and the other is going to run on Android OS.
Price and Availability
Nokia E7 debuted in September, 2010 and cost around $440 (RM1,920), which would be very expensive if it were available now. Nevertheless, E1 is a mid-ranger that’s gonna debut in 2016, marking the Nokia comeback, so it may cost around $200-$250 (RM855-RM1,100) and beat a lot of rivals in its kind.
Well, those are some main points of Nokia E1 vs Nokia E7 we want to look at. What do you think? Share with us your opinion!
Nokia Z Launcher: Interesting UI for Android smartphones of Nokia
Nokia Z Launcher is a new user interface (UI) for Android smartphones. Not long ago. it was released with a beta version which could be used pretty easily. Though, there are some notes you should remember to experience this UI more effectively.
Firstly, Nokia Z Launcher is a bit different because it does not have a customizable homescreen on which you place icons of the apps. Instead, Z Launcher chooses the ones you often open or need most of the time. In other words, it adapts to the context.
Secondly, Nokia Z Launcher has a quickly searching function that you can use just one finger to launch the necessary program or content like scribbling the names of the apps you want to activate at once, contacts, or websites. And this feature is even getting more powerful in its new update.
Moreover, scribbling supports synonyms, which means that you can launch music apps by simply writing the word “music”. We guess that Spotify, Pandora, and YouTube should also appear in the list of synonyms. We found out that “browser” will give you Chrome and “email” will give you Gmail. However, there are not many synonyms existing on the Nokia Z Launcher for now. Some people said that they wrote “twitter” and it didn’t suggest Fenix on the phone to them. Hopefully Nokia will develop this interesting function more for their smartphones in 2016.
Some tip for you is that Scribbles now also include WhatsApp contacts. You can totally launch into your friends’ chats directly. If you use it more often, the contacts will be likely to appear faster and can be top of the suggestion list.
In conclusion, Nokia Z Launcher has not been very common now, yet when Nokia returns to the mobile industry next year, it could be one of the best UIs. Let’s wait and see a stronger Nokia Z Launcher in the next months!
Nokia Asha QWERTY Integrates a Keyboard Into the Lovely Experience
Today, we are going to talk about another interesting kind of phone that used to appear in the Nokia house, yet it will be likely to come back next year and promise to rock the world one more time. It is Nokia Asha QWERTY.
Nokia Asha QWERTY Design
This phone’s design is likely to take inspiration from the Nokia Asha devices launch some years ago, done by Mohammad Zahid Maqbool. Generally, we think this is a gorgeous combination of a smartphone and a QWERTY phone since its body seems slim and not horizontally expansive. Besides, there is a reasonably large touchscreen for you guys to feel like using a real smartphone.
Some people said that the new Nokia Asha QWERTY looked cool with such a new case (transparent edges) which you could see through. Nonetheless, some others thought the model would get even better if Nokia offered more colors for the keypad and the back must be made of metal.
Nokia Asha QWERTY Specs
Spec-wise, Asha QWERTY is a device from the lower-end Nokia product range. Specifically, it sports the famous dual shot clear case, the latest Asha operating system, a 2.8-inch touch display and a 3.2 MP rear camera. Unfortunately, it is said that the cam does not have a flash and a front-facing snapper for those who love taking selfies.
On the other hand, some mentioned that Nokia Asha QWERTY would not support 3G network but there has been no confirmation of the info as well as other Nokia Asha QWERTY specs for now. So, take it with a pinch of salt!
Nokia Asha QWERTY Price and Availability
Last but not least, we want to talk about its price and availability. Belonging to the mid-range phone category, Asha QWERTY is predicted to cost about 80 or 90 dollars (RM350-400), according to the designer. That is totally affordable, which is also a point that people like about Nokia products. Hopefully, we will see in soon in 2016.
Now, what would you say about Nokia Asha QWERTY?
10 best Nokia phones before Microsoft era
Before being overtaken by Microsoft, Nokia was one of the giant mobile manufacturers in the world. They impressed consumers with many kinds of products. So, in order to remind you as well as ourselves of what Nokia had before the Microsoft era, let’s check the following list and share with us your opinions!
10 best Nokia phones before Microsoft era
1. Nokia Lumia 1520
This phone measures up to 6.0 inches with Full HD resolution for the screen and is said to be one of the best performing “phablets” in the house. Some awesome Nokia Lumia 1520 specs include a Snapdragon 800 chip, Microsoft Windows Phone 8 (being planned upgrade to Windows 10 OS), a non-removable 3,400mAh battery2, GB RAM and 16/32GB ROM (expandable up to 64GB).

2. Nokia Lumia 925
Nokia Lumia 925 has a beautiful design with a stunning pure metal finish, which also created a lot of impact on other phones in the market. Especially, we really the way the cam on the back of the device was designed; it was also elegant. Some Nokia Lumia 925 specs that should be mentioned are 4.5-inch HD AMOLED display, Snapdragon S4 Plus chip, 1GB RAM, 16/32GB ROM, a set of 8MP main and 1.3MP secondary snapper, and a 2,000mAh battery.
We think Nokia can still apply such a design to their upcoming products but the specs should be improved more.
3. Nokia Lumia 1020
It’s gonna be a big mistake if we do not mention Nokia Lumia 1020. This beasts boasts a 41MP back cam supported by Carl Zeiss optics, optical image stabilization, auto/manual focus, Xenon and LED flash. It was and has still been considered as a phone that brought revolution in the cameras of smartphones.
Other Nokia Lumia 1020 specs can be found in the summary below:

4. Nokia Lumia 625
This was a very budget smartphone from Nokia but an absolute performer was well. At the time, other Android handset found it hard to compete with Nokia Lumia 635. Therefore, we think such a phone should appear in the top five. Do you agree?
5. Nokia N8
Many people called Nokia N8 a game changer. It was running on Symbian OS instead of Android OS yet still was able to rule the mobile markets. Moreover, in fact, its 8MP camera equipped with Carl Zeiss optics was a revolutionary entity in smartphone cameras.
6. Nokia Asha 502
Nokia Asha series, including Nokia Asha 502, was invented as a cheaper one compared to other Android phones being ruling all over the place. Though, it was not so hard for Asha to find a way to consumers’ hearts thanks to its unique combination of a new OS and small body and good performances in terms of using internet and social media websites, and playing music.
7. Nokia E71
E71 was a QWERTY Nokia Phone which was voted as the best Business phones of their times. We hope that 2016 can see some devices like this by Nokia.
8. Nokia 3310
Nokia 3310 was a GSM phone launched years ago. Its sales were very great (about 126 million units were sold globally). As a result, saying Nokia 3310 was a standout among the best devices in the world is not exaggerated at all.
9. Nokia 6600
Nokia 6600 got a spot in the list because it was Nokia’s top of the line model 6xxx Classic Business Series, running on Symbian OS 7.0s (Series 60 2nd ed.). Interestingly, the model is still being used in many parts of the world.
10. Nokia 808 PureView
Another Symbia-based phone used to be famous was Nokia 808 PureView launched on February 2012 at the MWC (Mobile World Congress). Specially, the 808 won the honor for “Best New Mobile Handset, Device or Tablet” at the event also, and the recompense for “Best Imaging Innovation” for 2012 from the Technical Image Press Association thanks to the primary cam of 41 megapixels, supporting Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, and Xenon flash.
