Champion of Antutu benchmark now is Xiaomi…

A lot of excellent flagships were introduced in the Q1 of 2016, making us feel like living in a modern gorgeous world. Specially, one of them was able to gain a very high score, or we can say it is the highest one for now. That strong device is Xiaomi Mi5, launched a few weeks ago. Specifically, there was a screenshot captured when Xiaomi Mi 5 was running Antutu V6 app. And the great thing is that it got up to 179,566 points, definitely higher than the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge’s.

To get such an awesome result, Xiaomi Mi5 specs play important parts. The best version features a very handy 5.15-inch Full HD screen, a Snapdragon 820 quad-core 2.15GHz chip paired with Adreno 530 GPU, NFC + VoLTE support, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Under the hood, there is a 3,000mAh battery to fuel the machine. Moreover, it can be charged fast thanks to Quick Charge 3.0 (83% in 30 min.).

About photography, the phone packs a 16MP Sony IMX298 main camera and a 4MP secondary snapper to assist you in taking photos. Well, those top specifications did help Xiaomi Mi5 to have 179,566 AnTuTu points. Isn’t it fantastic? For more information about Xiaomi Mi5 price, let’s check the next part.

Xiaomi Mi5 price and availability

Xiaomi Mi5 has up to 3 variants which are priced not the same. To purchase a 3GB/32GB Xiaomi Mi5, you will have to pay 1,999 Yuan or about $305, 2,299 Yuan ($350) for the 3GB/64GB ver and 2,699 Yuan ($415) for the 4GB/128GB ver. That is an affordable cost for an Antutu beast, don’t you think? At the moment, it is going on sale in China and will hit international markets later.

Antutu announced the ranking of top 10 smartphone chips

Snapdragon 820 chip of Qualcomm was taken into an Antutu benchmark test and the result will show you how strong it really is…

snapdragon 820

Where were Snapdragon 820 and other chips on Antutu benchmark?

Some people said that Snapdragon 820 was like an “apology” Qualcomm sent to consumers after their “too hot” Snapdragon 810 chip. And in fact, the SD820 does show it works much better than the SD810. To prove this, we would like to give you the result of an Antutu benchmark test in which Snapdragon 820 was examined and compared with other well-known processors.

Apparently, all the chipsets were ranked by basing on their average scores after attending many tests, not their highest ones, so that the reliability is pretty high. In the end, SD820 was the champion of the “Smartphone Chip Performance” battle and Apple A9 was the runner-up. Third place went to Samsung’s own Exynos 8890 and then we have Kirin 950, Exynos 7420, Snapdragon 810, Snapdragon 652, Apple A8, Snapdragon 650 và Snapdragon 808. Those are top 10 processors for now!

As for “Smartphone Chip GPU Performance”, SD820 paired with Adreno 530 GPU was still number one. In general, we have to praise it for such awesome work. As a result, handsets equipped with Snapdragon 820 such as Samsung Galaxy S7, LG G5, Sony Xperia X Performance, Vivo Xplay 5 Elite and Xiaomi Mi5 will surely bring you excellent experience.

So, what exactly is Snapdragon 820?

The Snapdragon 820 is a 14 nm chip that consists of five main components: Kryo CPU, Adreno 530 GPU, Hexagon 680 DSP, Qualcomm Spectra ISP and the X12 LTE Modem. Speaking more specifically, the Kryo features a quad-core 2.2GHz setup. The Adreno 530 GPU can give 40 percent faster graphics plus 40 percent less power consumption. The Hexagon 680 DSP (digital signal processor) together with Spectra ISP (image signal processor) is to produce brighter, less noisy photos, especially in low-light conditions. And last but not least, the X12 LTE supports 802.11ad wireless spec which offers a max throughput of 4.6Gbps. Overall, Snapdragon 820 is “the ultimate in connectivity, graphics, photography, power and battery efficiency.”

Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro specs confirmed: 4GB RAM and 16MP

Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro specs appeared on Antutu with 16MP cam, 4GB RAM and…

Yes, after the flagship duo Samsung Galaxy S7 launched at MWC 2016 last month, the company will probably release a new model belonging to Samsung Galaxy A series to attract consumers. The one we want to mention is Galaxy A9 Pro, considered as a more advanced variant of the phablet Galaxy A9 announced in December 2015. Not long ago, it was certified on TENAA and now, it has shown up on Antutu benchmark with some specific features.

Specifically, Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro specs will pack a 6-inch Full HD screen (which is different from what GFXBench told us previously), a Snapdragon 652 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. As for camera, the main one is capable of 16 megapixels instead of 13 megapixels found on the Galaxy A9 while the front-facing snapper for selfies is expected to be 8 megapixels.

In general, according to what we’ve got so far, Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro seems an excellent handset after the flagship Galaxy S7 duo. Though, there are still some unknown features and we’d better wait for the manufacturer’s confirmation in the next days. For more information about its cost and availability, check out the next part!

Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro Price and availability

The fact that the Pro visited TENAA and Antutu also hints Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro launch is near. Though the firm has not claimed the exact date, we hope it will happen this month or in the Q2 of 2016. In terms of Galaxy A9 Pro price, we predict it will rang from $650 to $700. Do you agree? Spec-wise, there are three features claimed to be on board: Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip, 6GB RAM, and Hi-Fi 3.0 tech. Meanwhile, other Vivo Xplay 5 specs are still unknown for now. Xiaomi Mi5 Antutu score beats Galaxy S7 and LG G5

Xiaomi Mi5 Antutu score more than 14…

Obviously, Xiaomi Mi5 is the new successor to Xiaomi Mi4 and considered as a much more advanced device in terms of design and hardware. Moreover, in order to make Mi5 the world’s star, Xiaomi has unveiled its Antutu score and felt no hesitation to compare it with other beast flagships, including Samsung Galaxy S7 and LG G5. Well, that’s really an interesting fact.

Speaking specifically, Xiaomi Mi5’s got 142,084 points on the Antutu benchmark (we guess it must be the most high-end variant), higher than 133,054 points of the LG G5 using Snapdragon 820 and 116,668 points of the Galaxy S7 using Exynos 8890 chip. Actually, it totally can happen since Xiaomi Mi5 specs are very strong with an SD820 2.15GHz processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB ROM, Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, a 16MP rear camera and a 3,000mAh battery.

mi5-11

Though, in fact, Mi5 still has some less excellent features if compared with the others. Its 5.2-inch screen only has Full HD resolution and 428 ppi while both S7 and G5 pack Quad HD res plus 577 ppi and 554 ppi, respectively. Additionally, they sport microSD card slots to expand their internal memories; Mi5 does not have.

Xiaomi Mi5 even beats iPhone 6S Plus at…

Apart from the Antutu score, Xiaomi also impressed everyone with their comparison between Mi5’s photography capability and Apple iPhone 6S Plus‘s. Accordingly, Xiaomi Mi5 camera did better in capturing sharp, blur-free images in dim light thanks to featuring 4-axis optical video stabilization (OIS). Wow, now we’re really looking forward to the day Xiaomi Mi5 goes on sale. How about you?

ANTUTU CHART of 2015: The best one is not Huawei Mate 8!

As we know, 2015 saw remarkable development of Chinese smartphones, especially when Meizu Pro 5 became the number one of Antutu chart in the Q3. Then, many Chinese flagships, including Huawei Mate 8, with even stronger hardware came and were likely to replace the Pro 5. However, a new Antutu list for the whole year 2015 has been spotted and will show you the real champion. It is Apple iPhone 6S Plus in a test ranking phones according to their average benchmark scores.

You may feel surprised or shocked since iPhones are usually not highly evaluated in terms of specifications. Nonetheless, when it comes to performance, especially user interface, they are super powerful competitors and the AnTuTu list of smartphones from 2015 has proved that. Apple iPhone 6s Plus is the latest product of the company, and despite just packing a 5.5-inch Full HD screen and 401 ppi, it beat Huawei, Meizu and Samsung handsets with a very high score: 132,620.

AnTuTu-Benchmark-Chart-Apple-iPhone-6s-Plus

Once again, Apple has shown consumers as well as other smartphone manufacturers that though their machines do not own extremely high-end features like 4GB RAM, 2K resolution, 20MP camera, etc., they still can bring users smooth and gorgeous experience in using. For more details about Apple iPhone 6S Plus specs and price, please take a look at the next part.

Apple iPhone 6S Plus specs and price

Basically, it’s equipped with an A9 chip, iOS 9 (upgradable to iOS 9.2), 16/64/128GB ROM, 2GB RAM, a fingerprint scanner, and a 2,750mAh battery. Xiaomi Mi5 Antutu score to be spotted with more than 100,000 points

It is expected that the next flagship of Xiaomi – Xiaomi Mi5, will be launched next year with beautiful design and strong hardware. And we think it is totally possible with a phone scoring up to 100,000 Antutu points…

mi5-2

Xiaomi Mi5 to hit Antutu benchmark with more than 100,000 points

Recently, Xiaomi Mi5 has been spotted on the Antutu benchmark with 101,339 points. That is really an amazing score for a flagship. Anyhow, we know it is possible since Xiaomi Mi5 specs are said to contain a Snapdragon 820 chipset. This is also considered as a great competitor to the Samsung’s new Exynos 8890 processor, which scored up to 103,693 points, and it completely beats the Huawei Mate 8 with Kirin 950 chip and 94,250 points.

Besides, we heard that Mi5 will boast a fingerprint sensor built in its home button, a 5.2-inch 2K display and Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box. Moreover, it is likely that Mi5 will sport Force Touch tech like what we see on iPhone 6S, which makes us feel Xiaomi Mi5 will be a very high-end smartphone and perhaps the company will have a good year in 2016.

mi5-1

Well, those are what we are informed about the specifications. How about Xiaomi Mi5 design? In a recent photo showing a smartphone said to be Xiaomi Mi5, it looks absolutely premium with slim bezels and the back will probably be made of metal. Well, do you think it is pretty enough to defeat other beauties?

Xiaomi Mi5 price and availability

According to some news sources, Xiaomi Mi5 release date will be January 21, 2016. Furthermore, the price will range from 1,999 Yuan ($311) to 2,499 Yuan ($389). If so, Mi5 is gonna be a hot item on the shelves next year since it is so powerful and affordable! Don’t you think?

Antutu scores of upcoming flagships: Huawei P9 Max, Xiaomi Mi5 and…

Antutu points can somehow show you how strong a smartphone is. So, if you see a flagship smartphone appearing on Antutu benchmark with a high score, it can become a beast in the near future. The following devices are also in such a case and they are all in the way in the next weeks. Then, let’s have a look at them with their Antutu Benchmark scores now!

Xiaomi-Mi5-Design

Antutu scores of upcoming flagships

1. Huawei P9 Max – 73,759 points

Huawei P9 Max is going to be a new member of the Huawei P series. It has been spotted on AnTuTu benchmark, coded as P950S. Accordingly, the phone will sport  a Kirin 950 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, a 6.2-inch 2K display and Android 6.0 OS.

With such high-end specifications, Huawei P9 Max managed to score more than 73,500 Antutu points. However, its 3D graphics score was 16,822 points, which is below many flagships like the Meizu Pro 5.

2. Huawei Mate 8 – 89,630 points

Lately, a Twitter account has shared an Antutu score which was said to belong to Huawei Mate 8. Specifically, a Twitter user @Steve Hemmerstoffer or @Onleaks showed a picture spotting the 89,630 points of Mate 8, absolutely higher than the flagship Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6, and even the Antutu champion Meizu Pro 5 (with 76,820 points).

Spec-wise, Huawei Mate 8 is going to sport a Kirin 950 chip, a 6-inch 2K display, an up to 20MP rear camera, and Force Touch tech. It is also expected to go on sale this month. Keep looking forward to this new Antutu champion.

3. Xiaomi Mi5 – 73,075 points

This is maybe the very last Xiaomi’s flagship smartphone this year. Though the company has still kept so many mysteries about Xiaomi Mi5 specs as well as Xiaomi Mi5 release date and price, we were able to bump into its Antutu score: 73,075 points. According to some experts, to get 73,000 Antutu points, Xiaomi Mi5 has to boast a super strong package of features which are probably a MediaTek Helio X20 or Snapdragon 820 chip. In addition, the handset is also expected to own 4GB RAM, a 5.3-inch 2K display, a 16MP main shooter, a 6MP selfie one, 16/64GB ROM, a 3,030mAh battery and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box. Those are really top specs at the moment, yet can it beat other beast machines? Let’s wait and see!

Huawei-Mate-8-2

So far we have just got 3 Antutu scores of 3 upcoming smartphones. They are all extremely high, hinting that there will be a storm in the mobile market as the end of 2015 is drawing closer. We will update you more on their official information.

Top 4 Antutu comparison: Meizu Pro 5, Galaxy Note 5, LeTV Pro 1 and Xperia Z5

A few days ago, we announced the top 10 smartphones owing highest Antutu scores in the Q3 of 2015. But, that was just the list. Today, we want to dig it deeper by comparing the top 4 Antutu devices in the list. However, we would like to take the representative of each brand. For example, the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th places are Samsung products, so we only choose the Note 5 to join to comparison. As a result, we have:

Of course, if we talk about the Antutu scores, Meizu Pro 5 is the winner with 76,852 points, yet in other battles, Pro 5 is not really the best.

For instance, in this Top 4 Antutu competition, Xperia Z5 is the slimmest and lightest handset thanks to its 7.3mm thickness and 154 gram weight. As for the screen resolution and size, it cannot beat LeTV 1 Pro and Galaxy Note 5 since they have up to big 2K displays. In other words, it is the only non-phablet device here when sporting only 5.2-inch screen. Anyhow, that is a good size to put in your pocket, rite?!

Next, it is about processor. We feel like this is Exynos 7420 vs Snapdragon 810. They are both strong, yet Snapdragon had been often reported for its heating issue. Therefore, many people are not very happy once informed of the presence of an SD810 in a machine.

In terms of RAM, once again, Sony Xperia Z5 loses to the others due to its only 3GB RAM. Maybe that is the reason why Z5 was just able to take the 8th spot. However, Z5, you should be proud of your 23MP rear camera and perhaps even the 5.1MP front snapper. What a wonderful combo for those who love taking photos!

Finally, we would like to say something about their prices. Being ranked first does not make Meizu Pro 5 the most expensive flagship. In fact, it seems to be the cheapest not only in this comparison but also in the top 10. With such a great package of specs, Antutu score and prices, Pro 5 is quite a convincing winner.

In conclusion, no matter what the Antutu top 10 says, we think you still can pick one to be your hero. Which one is yours? Share with us 🙂 !

Meizu PRO 5 AnTuTu Score beats Samsung Galaxy Note 5’s!

We are at the beginning of the Q4 of 2015, so let’s check back what was able to stand out in the Q3 of the year in terms of Antutu benchmark scores. Here is the list of 10 Android smartphones with highest Antutu scores in the third quarter and you would be fairly surprised for what it has!

s_b579511cacdc45fcb8ada4735737701f

From the list, we easily see that the top 5 phones (which are Meizu Pro 5, Samsung Galaxy Note 5, S6 edge Plus, S6 and S6 edge) all use Exynos 7420 SoC chips made by Samsung company. Actually it is not really strange when 4 out of 5 devices are also produced by Samsung and 2 of them (which are Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 edge Plus) are the newest and strongest in the house. We used to think that Note would be powerful enough to beat all other flagships on the market, but it shocked us to know that the first place did not go to the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. Instead, the number one position belonged to a Chinese smartphone, Meizu Pro 5 to be specific.

Congrats, Meizu Pro 5! You deserve the spot with a whopping 76,582 Antutu points in the benchmark tests. You BEAT Galaxy Note5 which scored 72,156 points.Well done!

However, on the other hand, Samsung did a good job, too once having up to 4 out of 10 members joining the TOP 10. It shows that current Samsung flagship products are very quality and beautiful. From 6 to 10, we have Letv Le Max and Le 1 Pro earning the 6th and 7th place, scoring 61,327 and 62,520 points respectively. Those are also impressive results, in fact.

One more thing that surprised us is Sony Xperia Z5 since it stopped at the 7th. We thought it could do more than that. On the contrary, we are quite happy to see the case of Xiaomi Mi Note Pro scoring 57,163 points. Xiaomi Mi Note Pro launch happened many months ago but is still hard to be defeated.

antutu

Ending the list, OnePlus 2 ranking with a nice 57,119 is not difficult to understand.

Though benchmark tests are not always everything we need to judge the real performance of the handsets, the scores do give us some ideas of how strong the machines as well as their chipsets are. For example here, we can say that Exynos 7420 is the winner, for Snapdragon 810 or other kinds of processor do not remain in the TOP 10.

Well, in the end, Meizu Pro 5 has won the Antutu battle to become a good smartphones with the highest score!

Top 7 phones with best Antutu Benchmarks of August: up to 85,5K

Check out the latest smartphones with their Antutu Scores 2015. Which one has got the highest?

1. Samsung Galaxy Note 5: 69,702

With all the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Specs we have known so far, it is able to score 69,702 Antutu points. That is really impressive! But, of course, that should happen since Note 5 sports so many good features nowadays. A quick review of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 specs will show you what we mean:

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Specs:

– Display: 5.7-inch (2560 x 1440, 515 ppi)
– Chip: Exynos 7420 SoC (some other sources mentioned that it will be the new Exynos 7422 chipset, featuring CPU, GPU, RAM, and ROM in just one unit)
– RAM: 4GB of LPDDR4
– ROM: 32GB
– Camera: 16MP rear and 5MP front
– SIM: Dual SIM
– OS: Android 5.1.1 Lollipop
– Battery: 3,000mAh

2. Samsung Galaxy S6 edge Plus: 68,345

On the other hand, Antutu benchmark also reveals the scores of Samsung Galaxy S6 edge Plus, which will be launched together with the Note 5 on August 13, 2015. It obtains 68,345 Antutu points, a bit lower than the Note 5, but still a high score compared with other phones, including its siblings Samsung Galaxy S6 (top of the the rankings with 67,520 points) and Samsung Galaxy S6 edge (63,910 points).

Samsung Galaxy S6 edge Plus Specs:

– Display: 5.5-inch 2K Super AMOLED
– Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 808
– RAM: 3GB
– ROM: 32GB
– Battery: 3,000mAh non-removable battery
– Rear camera: 16MP
– Front camera: 5MP

3. Samsung Galaxy A8: 29,184

Samsung Galaxy A8 is also a new product of Samsung launched not long ago. It sports an ultra slim body and a fingerprint scanner on the home button. Well, due to being a mid-range device, it seems like A8 did not get a high score on Antutu benchmark. Specifically, it was just able to achieve 29,184 points with a 5.7″ FHD screen, a Snapdragon 615 chip and 2GB RAM. However, in general, we cannot deny that it is a pretty good number among handsets in its kind.

You can check out Samsung Galaxy A8 price in Malaysia HERE.

Samsung Galaxy A8 Specs:

– Display: 5.7-inch FHD Super AMOLED
– Processor: 64-bit Snapdragon 615 MSM8939 octa-core
– RAM: 2GB
– ROM: 16/32GB
– Rear camera: 16MP
– Front camera: 5MP
– Battery: Non-removable Li-Ion 3,050mAh
– Others: USB OTG and Fingerprint scanner

4. Google Nexus (2015): 85,350

The latest AnTuTu scores belong to Google Nexus 5 (2015). It was able to reach to the highest points with 85,350. It is also said that the device getting tested is an LG-made nexus. Besides, we will also have a Huawei- made Nexus for the end of 2015. However, there has been no info related to the Huawei Nexus Antutu scores recently.

We guess that the main thing that helps LG Nexus get such a high score is the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with the 3.0GHz speed, much faster than other Snapdragon ones. For other LG Nexus (2015) specs, you can take a look at the following summary:

LG Nexus (2015) Specs:

– Display: 5.2-inch FHD P-OLED
– Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 (MSM8976)
– RAM: 4GB
– ROM: 64GB
– Battery: 3,180mAh non-removable battery
– Rear camera: 13MP
– Front camera: 4MP with iris detection
– Others: USB Type-C connector, Fingerprint sensor and QuickCharge 2.0

5. Meizu MX5: 53,330

Meizu MX5 is the latest flagship of Meizu company. It was released some months ago, but is still one of the worth-considering smartphones of the year thanks to its specs and prices. Moreover, its Antutu scores are quite good: 53,330. You can check out Meizu MX5 price in Malaysia HERE.

Meizu MX5 Specs:

– Display: 5.5-inch FHD AMOLED
– Processor: 64-bit MediaTek Helio X10 Turbo octa-core
-RAM: 3GB
– ROM: 16/32/64GB
– Rear camera: 20.7MP
– Front camera: 5MP
– Battery: 3,150mAh
– Others: mTouch 2.0 fingerprint scanner

6. Huawei Honor 7: 53,045

Huawei Honor 7 scored 53,045 points on Antutu benchmark, which was lower than those of Meizu MX5 launched at the same time. Perhaps because its Kirin 935 processor is not as strong as Snapdragon 810 or Exynos 7420 chip. Yet, it does not mean that Hisilicon Kirin 935 is a bad processor and 53,045 is a bad score. Huawei Honor 7 is still a flagship phone highly evaluated!

Huawei Honor 7 Specs:

– Display: 5.2-inch FHD LCD
– Processor: 64-bit Hisilicon Kirin 935 octa-core
– RAM: 3GB
– ROM: 16GB
– Rear camera: 20MP
– Front camera: 8MP
– Battery: 3,100mAh non-removable
– Others: Fingerprint scanner
