Besides, this handset also sports a 64-bit 2.2GHz octa-core Helio X10 chipset along with a 5.2″ 2K QHD screen and a fingerprint sensor. Other than that, some HTC One ME specs that should be mentioned include the 3GB RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, 2,840mAh battery, LTE and dual SIM support.

HTC One Me

One key selling point for One ME goes to its 20-megapixel primary camera with a dual LED flash, capable of taking 4K video. The 4MP UltraPixel secondary snapper will somehow satisfy selfie lovers. Moreover, for the front surface, the device will get a dual BoomSound speakers. In terms of OS, Sense 7 UI running on top of Android 5.0 Lollipop will power the whole phone.

2

According to some reliable sources, HTC One ME will be introduced first in China and then in other Asian markets, yet the official HTC One ME launch date and prices have not been confirmed for now. Anyhow, we expect that it’s gonna be cheaper than the high-end HTC One M9 Plus!

ASUS ZenFone Selfie

ASUS ZenFone Selfie: Catch the perfect moments of you

As the name suggests, ZenFone Selfie packs 13MP cameras both for the front and back. The selfie shooter comes with a number of face-enhancing features such as real-time ‘beautification’, dual real-tone flash and laser focus for sharper face snaps. Also, it is the first smartphone in the world to have laser auto focus function for taking selfies. ASUS claims that these features are ideal for “capturing life moments”, so it sure will make phone users amazed!

1

“I’m not the only narcissist in this room, we all want to be beautiful, right?” ASUS’s Design Director, Jen Chuang, shared at the press event, just before holding up the handset and snapping a selfie of herself.

2

“At night or in a party, you might not usually be able to capture anything, but with our colour-merging tech, we can increase light sensitivity by 400 percent,” added Chuang. “Macro focusing goes as close as 6cm to bring all the details out you don’t see” – Wow, she does know what most customers are concerning about!

ASUS ZenFone Selfie means ASUS ZenFone 2 with enhanced cameras: If you like ASUS ZenFone 2, you’re gonna like ASUS ZenFone Selfie.

3

In term of specs, the ZenFone Selfie is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, not Intel Atom processors like other ZenFone 2s. Other ZenFone Selfie specs are pretty much the same from ZenFone 2: 5.5-inch IPS display with 1080 x 1920 pixels, LTE, 2GB RAM and updated Android Lollipop operating system.

ASUS ZenFone Selfie Specs:

5

In conclusion, if you are a fan of ASUS or you like taking selfies with high quality, ASUS ZenFone Selfie can be an ideal choice because the front cam of the phone is upgraded up to 13 megapixels, just like the rear snapper. Isn’t it amazing?

ZTE Star 3 leak: 5.5″ HD Screen, 3GB RAM and Dual rear 13MP cams?

ZTE manufacturer is really busy this year. After launching the remarkable ZTE Nubia Z9 and reportedly being working on ZTE Nubia X8, now we got renders of another ZTE device. Its name is ZTE Star 3, said to boast a dual rear camera kind of similar to HTC M8’s.

ZTE Star 3 leaked renders

ZTE Star 3

Apart from the cam, there are not many words on ZTE Star 3 specs. However, because of being a member of ZTE Start series, we guess that Star 3’s features will also based on what ZTE Star 2 has but with more upgrades. If that’s the case, ZTE Star 3 can be a 5.5” HD screen, running on Android 5.0 Lollipop. We expect that ZTE will equip their handset with 3GB or 4GB RAM, instead of 2GB RAM built in Star 2, and larger battery like 3,000mAh or so, not just 2,400mAh batt as the former’s.

1

As for camera, Star 3 may remain the 13MP rear cam or cams, but of course, if the company can improve the cams to more than 13MP, the phone’s gonna be awesome. Besides, there can be two color options as what’s shown in the pictures: dark gray and shiny blue.

2

So, it has been nearly 6 months passing by since the ZTE Star 2 launch. In addition, people are also spreading some renders of ZTE Star 3 these days, so the possibility that ZTE will bring back the Star series in this second half of the year is high, perhaps in the next months. What do you want to see in a ZTE Star 3 Malaysia as well as ZTE Star 3 price in Malaysia? Tell us!

Meizu M2 Note Unboxing: First real pics of the RM475 BEAST

The most current famous smartphone from Meizu can be Meizu M2 Note since it’s the first phone to be launched in June. Moreover, many people are attracted due to Meizu M2 Note price, which is less than the previous generation. You just need 799 Yuan (RM475) to own a M2 Note 16GB version. Mr. Bai Yongxiang used the phrase “holding Blue Charm Note 2 feels like the palm of your hand stretching out speed 60 yards out of the window.” So whether this new model can bring us more surprises? Let’s have a look at the following hands-on pictures when a M2 Note is unboxed.

Meizu M2 Note unboxing:

Basically, M2 Note owns a 5.5-inch 1080P screen and an octa-core MT6753 processor.

Besides, there are built-in 2GB RAM and 2 choices of internal storage: 16GB and 32GB, running on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Flyme 4.5 operating system.

As for camera, it includes a 5MP front-facing snapper and a 13MP rear one. And as we mentioned before, M2 Note does not sport a fingerprint scanner on the back.

This handset is powered by a 3,100mAh battery and there is a microSD card slot for you to expand the storage, which means you don’t have to worry about the limited space for your favorite images, music, videos and so on.

M2’s body length and width are almost unchanged, and the cover material also remains. The only difference here is the reduction in thickness. M2 is 0.2mm slimmer than M1 Note.

If not using a new “round the waist” home button, people are hard to distinguish the two generations in appearance.

In addition, the power button on the top side is moved to one side for a “better use of the large-screen phone”.

10 gorgeous premium smartphones 2015

If the first six months of 2015 sees the releases of many high-end devices such as Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 edge, Xiaomi Mi Note Pro, HTC One M9 and LG G4, the smartphone market will even get hotter in the second half due to the highly possible debuts of upcoming high-end phones. So, what are they?

10 premium smartphones 2015:

1. Samsung Galaxy Note 5:

Samsung Galaxy S6

So far, information of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has not appeared much, yet it is likely that this product will own 4K display with a size of 5.9 inches. Besides, it is expected to boast 4GB RAM, Snapdragon 808 CPU and an S-Pen stylus. Galaxy Note 5 battery possibly packs at generous capacity of 4,100mAh or maybe even larger. Other than that, Note 5 camera will be of the Samsung quality that consumers love: 16MP rear cam with OIS and 8MP front shooter.

Samsung Note line has always cost quite a bunch. The Galaxy Note 4 price in Malaysia retails for RM2,499, so from our guess, the Galaxy Note 5 price in Malaysia could start at RM2,900 or so.

2. Apple iPhone 6S and 6S Plus:

iPhone

Apple’s products this year can be iPhone 6S and 6S Plus equipped with latest upgrades like Force Touch tech, which debuted on new MacBook andApple Watch, and new Apple A9 chipset. Moreover, there could be 10MP or 12MP cam and 2GB LPDDR4 memory.

The iPhone 6S 5.5” may look more graceful with a sapphire glass display. However, it seems to be only a limited edition while the mainstream models are going to employ the Ion-X glass. Additionally, Apple will add more color for people’s choices: Rose Gold and Tyrant gold Brilliance. Finally, the report also mentioned the Touch ID with improved accuracy to promote Apple Pay.

3. Sony Xperia Z5:

Sony Xperia Z5

Sony Xperia Z5 is said to be a masterpiece of 2015, even prettier than iPhone 6. It will adopt a new premium metallic design with a completely clean front end and a frosted glass effect, inspired by the recent BRAVIA television sets. Moreover, it is expected to sport a QHD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB of RAM. In addition, Z5 body lock screen button will be integrated fingerprint recognition and the latest Sony camera featuring a 21-megapixel rear cam and a new IMX230 sensor with OIS.

However, everything is not for sure. But with such beautiful look and great specs, Sony Xperia Z5 promises to bring consumers good experience.

4. Xiaomi Mi5:

Xiaomi

According to leaks, Xiaomi’s next-generation flagship Mi5 will be launched on 5 November, 2015. Some reliable revelations about Mi5 specs are also spotted like Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM, 5.5-inch 2K screen and a 16MP or maybe up to 20MP rear camera. There are two versions for users’ choices, 16GB and 64GB of storage.

Another guess is that the new Xiaomi Mi5 will go on sale along with its sibling Mi5 Plus coming with 6-inch screen and similar specs as Mi5. As for the price, it’s still a mystery.

5. Huawei Mate 8:

Huawei

There’s not many details about this Huawei’s member. All we know is that it can have a 6” Quad HD screen and 64-bit octa-core Kirin 930 chipset. Other specs may include fingerprint scanner, 20.7MP rear shooter, and 4G LTE Cat 6 support.

Some leaks say that Mate 8 will appear in this autumn with a price of $600. Will it also be the Huawei Mate 8 price in Malaysia?

Huawei

6. Huawei D8:

It seems like Huawei is ambitious this year when planning for many high-end smartphones’ debuts in 2015. Apart from Huawei Mate 8, Huawei D8 will probably join the race. It will take a 5.5” QHD screen, 4GB RAM, 64GB of internal storage and Kirin 950 chip.

D8

7. Microsoft Lumia 940 and 940XL:

In this case, we know about them better since Microsoft has claimed their specs. Specifically, this duo will run on Windows 10. The bigger device is Lumia 940XL, haing a 5.7-inch display with 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. On the other hand, it uses octa-core Snapdragon 810 with Adreno 430 GPU, 3GB RAM, and 32GB of expandable storage. In terms of camera, it’s got a 20MP PureView rear camera with Short Pulse variable-tone LED Flash and 5MP front-facing cam.

Besides, Microsoft is also working on a 5-inch Lumia 940 that will have similar specification as the Lumia 940XL.

Nokia

8. OnePlus Two:

A listing recorded in the database of Geekbench on May 20, 2015 reveals that the next OnePlus’s handset will feature 3GB RAM with Android 5.1 Lollipop together with Snapdragon 810 MSM8994 1.5GHz. However, apart from that, we cannot tell more about the OnePlus Two specs. Even the name for it has not been confirmed yet.

Though the camera wasn’t mentioned, according to various reports, we expect OnePlus will get a better camera, probably from Sony Exmor 20.7MP, for their new device.

OnePlus

9. OPPO Find 9:

Actually, at the moment no official words including an official OPPO Find 9 launch date and price have been made. We just learn that Find 9 possibly will be powered by the powerful Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor with 4GB RAM and equipped with a 5.5-inch 2K display.

OPPO

10. Huawei Nexus:

Huawei Nexus this year can be a 5.7-inch 2K AMOLED screen in combination with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. However, this is quite different from what we expected. Many people thought that Huawei would make the new Nexus with its own SoC. Even Huawei’s decision of featuring a 2K screen surprises people since it will harm the battery life. Additionally, Huawei Nexus maker’s executive used to say that 1080p was good enough for a compact phone, no need for 2K. If the news on Huawei Nexus turns out to be true, it must have been Google who insisted on Huawei using Qualcomm chipset and 2K screen for the next Nexus phone.

Samsung Galaxy S6 edge Plus: 5.5″ 2K screen, Snapdragon 808 and 16MP cam coming soon

People are excited with the news that Samsung Galaxy S6 edge will have a variant known as Samsung Galaxy S6 edge Plus coming in the next few weeks. According to some sources, this smartphone is also called “Project Zero 2” internally. It will remain the design as the standard S6 edge but with a bigger screen.

Samsung Galaxy S6 edge Plus

This new device was said to be appearing in IFA Berlin trade show in the later part of this year. However, there must have been some changes in Samsung’s strategy, so that they decided to reveal it a bit sooner. Though, the official Samsung Galaxy S6 edge Plus launch date has been not confirmed yet.

Samsung Galaxy S6 edge Plus specs:

In terms of Samsung Galaxy S6 edge Plus specs, it is reported to have a 5.4 or 5.5-inch curved screen, the same size as iPhone 6 Plus. Besides, S6 edge Plus display will also feature the same display resolution which is 1440 x 2560 pixels (577ppi pixel density), the same camera combo which includes a 16MP rear and 5MP front snapper. Other than that, S6 edge Plus will be sporting a Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor along with 32GB of storage. So, apart from those predicted features, there’s no word made for other specs.

Samsung Galaxy S6 edge Plus

Well, in the end, if those rumors are likely to be true, there is a Samsung Galaxy S6 edge Plus coming in the near future. It probably will resemble the former version, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge, but with a bigger size. Are you excited with this news? And if you were about to buy this new handset, what would you think about the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge price in Malaysia?

Meizu M2 Note from just RM475! Differences to Meizu M1 Note Explained!

Smartphone market is kind of heating up thanks to the new member of Meizu family. At the very first beginning of June, specifically on June 2, 2015, Meizu introduced their new device called Meizu M2 Note (aka Blue Charm Note 2) and received lots of positive feedback and responses. On the other hand, there are also some people assume that M2 Note is just a phone resembling its predecessor Meizu M1 Note. However, in fact, they do have things which make them different from each other.

Meizu M2 Note

First of all, let’s have a quick look at the Meizu M2 Note specs:

This brand new phone boasts a 5.5” Full HD screen, an Sharp’s IGZO panel, and a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6753 1.3GHz processor. In addition, M2 Note includes 2GB RAM along with 16 or 32GB of expandable storage. The camera combo consists of a 13 mega-pixel f/2.2 rear sensor with dual LED flash and a 5 mega-pixel f/2.0 front shooter. As for operating system, Android 5.0 Lollipop together with 64-bit Flyme OS’ is in charge, and the whole handset is powered by a 3,100mAh battery. Moreover, M2 Note also sports dual SIM supporting 4G LTE connectivity (FDD- and TD-LTE).

1

So, there are some differences that can be recognized easily. Firstly, Meizu M2 Note does have a microSD card slot, which means you can store a lot of things in your own phone. Meanwhile, M1 Note cannot give you more space but just the internal storage. Secondly, the new is thinner than the original. M2’s thickness measures 8.7mm, which is 0.2mm slimmer than the M1 Note (8.9mm thick). Next, it’s about the home button. Now, the 2nd generation owns an oval physical home button, not as round as the first one’s. Last but not least, Meizu has added a new color – GRAY – for M2 Note, a completely interesting choice for Meizu consumers.

2

On the other, there are still a few aspects in which Meizu M1 Note seems more capable than M2. Meizu M2 Note takes the Mali-T720 MP3 edition running at 450MHz (an 8-cluster GPU by ARM), while the original M1 Note features the Mali-T760, a 16-cluster graphics chip with a higher clock speed of 700MHz. The new CPU is also clocked at 1.3GHz; the earlier one is up to 1.7GHz, which can promise a bit smoother performances. Besides, another very small difference is that M1’s batt is larger than M2’s (3,140mAh vs 3,100mAh, respectively) perhaps partly because of the thickness.

Meizu

Nonetheless, except for those small differences, Meizu M2 Note 2 is still a worth-considering smartphone due to its good specs and prices. We guess that the key selling point for Meizu’s smartphone this time is Meizu M2 Note price. It is going on sale with 2 variants: 16GB and 32GB for under RM750. To be specific, 16GB version will officially cost $130 (Meizu M2 Note price in Malaysia can be around RM479), and 32GB is $160 (RM589) via JD.com and Meizu store in China. That somehow appears cheaper than the Meizu M1 Note price in Malaysia.

With the Meizu M2 Note launch just on June 2, 2015, we got another good news from Meizu. It’s the render of Meizu flagship smartphone, Meizu MX5!

Meizu MX5 leaked photo

Recent rumors these days say that MX5 is going to be introduced on June 30, 2015, nearly one month after the Meizu M2 Note debut. It is also said to be one of the first Android devices to boast the MediaTek’s new Helio X20 chipset.

chip

As for design, if you remember the latest leaked photo of Meizu MX5, it showed us a border-less MX5, which seems to follow the trend of design in 2015 like Nubia Z9 and OPPO R7 Plus. However, we only could see the front surface of the handset.

front

With the newer leaked pictures, we now have a full concept for the whole Meizu MX5 with both front and back surfaces. If those pics turn out to be true, Meizu’s new flagship looks good in the unibody alloy body but somehow much like its elder brother Meizu MX4. Besides, MX5 will feature a physical home button and a fingerprint scanner on the rear.

Meizu MX5 leak

At the moment, Meizu still has not mentioned the detailed Meizu MX5 Specs, but we hope it would include a MediaTek Helio X20, the world’s first mobile SoC featuring tri-cluster CPU architecture, and a 41MP PureView Camera in Collaboration with Nokia.
