A Nokia smartphone in 2016 would be a BAD IDEA

A Nokia smartphone launched in 2016 is being anticipated by a lot of people out there. However, there unavoidably verdicts around this matter. Specifically, Android Authority recently had an article claiming that…

“A Nokia smartphone would be a bad idea”

In their article, Android Authority explained the reasons why they don’t think a new Nokia smartphone will do well in the market of today. Before moving to our discussion, let me briefly wrap up the original idea from the source. First of all, after a while absent from the market, it would take Nokia a long time and tough road to catch up with the pace. Secondly, with other brands having their own names growing fast, the competition will be real harsh on Nokia. Moreover, the company had failed once at the last smartphones made with Microsoft. This means a new and very careful strategy is a must to change their situation and do magic this time.

The points mentioned in the original sound very convincing. When you carefully consider our market right now, you may also agree that the situation does not seem very beneficial for Nokia. For the years Nokia was, other companies thrived to prove their product quality and became more and more popular among users. Moreover, being absent for such a long time should turn Nokia into a complete stranger: they don’t know how the latest Android works, they don’t actually know how a phone is produced.

Nokia smartphone

Familiarity to the users, trusted reviews from previous products, updated trendy features suitable to its price. These are things Nokia definitely lacks. This make Nokia look like very unready for the game ahead. However, with a long time of experience from the past, a huge brand name that everyone loves and trust, will Nokia make miracle this time?

A Nokia smartphone: the pressure is intense

The return of giant will mark a very important event to our smartphone market. Excited as we are, many are still worried for their favorite brand, since the competition is definitely tough in 2016. Which side are you in? Is a Nokia smartphone at this time a good or bad idea?

Nokia A1: Nokia comeback with a mid-ranger

Recently, many sources have been talking about a Nokia smartphone called Nokia A1. It is claimed to come in the near future with…

Nokia A1

Nokia A1 to mark Nokia comeback 2016

It has been a while since we last heard about Nokia at MWC 2016, and now Nokia A1 appears like a hint for the comeback plan of Nokia. It is said to be a mid-range device sporting capacitive keys on the front surface and a brushed/pained plastic back. Though, we hope it will turn out to be metal which is so popular now, even for mid-rangers. Generally, in our opinion, Nokia A1 design is beautiful and able to compete with others well. Do you agree?

As for Nokia A1 specs, there is some information you need to know. Looking at the picture, it is easy to notice the A1 is running on Nokia Z Launcher and likely to be based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. Besides, according to the source, Nokia A1 will basically boast a 5.5-inch Full HD display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset, but for the rest of the specification package, there are no details to be found.

nokia a1

Anyway, we are looking forward to more decent features such as 3GB RAM, 64GB of internal storage, an at least 3,000mAh battery and a combo of 13MP rear and 5MP front-facing camera. Those will help make A1 a perfect mid-range smartphone when the company officially return to the mobile world.

Nokia A1 price and availability

Many latest pieces of news have mentioned that Nokia A1 will be one of the firm’s first upcoming Android smartphones and will mainly be targeted at the Chinese market. And accordingly, it can be shipped some time in the summer of 2016. Wow, that is much faster than what we expected. In terms of Nokia A1 price, we predict it will cost around $200, which is super affordable, rite?

Nokia U – The best Nokia smartphone for YOU!

“Why not let the public design the kind of phone they would actually like?” Yes, Nokia came up with something like a competition called Design by Community and it did draw much attention from people trying to create “the ultimate concept device”. In the end, the winner was Nokia U. We won’t be surprised if this model comes along with the Nokia comeback at the end of 2016. It is made for us and by us, rite?!

Looking at the handset, it seems very sleek with a 4.0-inch 16:9 touchscreen and an aluminium body plus soft touch silver/black finish. Spec-wise, there is an auto lens cover hiding an 8MP camera with 4X optical zoom, a dual LED plus Xenon flash on the back. However, we think the main sensor can be changed into a 21MP equipped with PureView tech. More interesting, the Nokia U is said to be able to support multiple operating systems, which means you can totally choose Android if you like.

For other Nokia U specs, we hope to see a Full HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or a MediaTek’s deca-core chip (such as Helio X20 or X25), an 8MP selfie shooter, an at least 3,000mAh battery supporting fast charging technology, 3/4GB of RAM paired with 128GB of internal storage (expandable). They would make the U perfect!

Nokia U price and availability

With such an excellent package of specifications, appearance and meaning of its name, Nokia U is worth being one of the best smartphones of the year. Although its cost as well as release date has not been mentioned, we predict it can be priced at around $300. Do you think it is reasonable? Share with us your opinions!

There are a lot of smartphones out their with fancy features and luxurious designs. However, if we have to vote 1 phone whose value has not faded despite the time, it would be Nokia 3310. Here are 5 reasons why it is the best phone ever

1. Longest battery life

You are impressed with 10,000 mAH battery smartphones that work for like 3 days in a row? Then this Nokia 3310 battery will prove to you what it means by “long-lasting”. Packing “only” a 900 mAH power cell, the Nokia 3310 can last up to 260 hours of standby or 4.5 hours of talking time. If you used to have one of this phone, it is understandable that you forgot about the existence of the charging, because chances are you may haven’t needed to use that for many days. Remember that meme on the internet, which featured a phone that has 100% battery at 8 in the morning, and “dropped” to 99% at 8 in the evening?

games

4. Producing your own ring tone

Despite being a feature phone, Nokia 3310 is actually much cooler than what many people think. You won’t be able to set your favorite song as your ring tone, like you do with smartphone. However, Nokia 3310 allows you to produce your own music, and set it as your ring tone. Very unique and fun thing to have, don’t you agree?

5. Sturdiness

Drop your smartphone? Chances are, you break your screen, pay a lot of money to get it fixed, but the smartphone will never perform as smoothly as it originally is anymore. Drop your Nokia 3310? No worries, the only thing that hurts is the floor, but you won’t lose a cent. Nokia 3310 is one of the hardest devices to be destructed.

'

Nokia 3310 is definitely a phenomenon. If you have used the phone, you may immediately know why. If now, we hope these 5 reasons are enough to convince you.

Nokia 809 will surprise lotsa people this year!

It is not like any phones out there, especially the camera. Specifically, 809 has a glossy all-metal body with a big Nokia logo on the back and physical buttons for volume and photography on its sides. As for the main cam, it can be rotated to become a selfie shooter. So cool, isn’t it?

Besides, many people, including us, also wonder how their first flagship smartphone will look like and what it can offer us. Well, so here is a very potential model for the firm to take into consideration: Nokia N73. That’s a pretty memorable name, right?!

On the front surface, it seems to sport a large screen and a physical home button on the bottom. On the back, the device’s main camera and Nokia logo are placed in the middle in a very harmonious way. Overall, we will feel absolutely excited if this machine can be turned into real life. How about you?

Nokia at MWC 2016: They are working on a high-end smartphone!

A lot of people, including us, are waiting for Nokia’s comeback this year. And yes, after a long time not releasing any new smartphones, Nokia showed up at MWC 2016 to talk about their plan. Check it out now!

nokia-swan-phablet-concept-1-1024x640

According to what was posted on nokiapoweruser not long ago, Nokia is working hard on an Android smartphone. Some previous rumors claimed that it would be a mid-ranger, but when showing up at MWC 2016 to announce the company’s intention to return to the mobile sector, Mr. Rajeev Suri – Nokia’s CEO, said they are preparing a high-end handset and “there’s no timeline, there’s no rush.” He also added that “it could happen in 2016, it could happen later.”

Reason for this statement is because they want to find the right partner to produce their machines. It’s just like what Nokia hinted last summer that the firm would not make the phones itself, but license the brand to another manufacturer. Though, Nokia will still be “in a position to design the devices in question with appropriate control measures in case they don’t meet expectations,” according to what the CEO insisted at the event.

Nokia-E1-front1

Well, no doubt it would be pretty hard to please Nokia since the return is very important not only to the company but also to the brand lovers. In fact, Nokia can still affect the modern mobile market despite being locked out of making devices. They have sold off its mapping business – HERE maps – to German carmakers and has been exploring 5G networks in Finland and are planning new datacenters in the UK.

New Nokia smartphones will not look like before!

As Nokia will design while the partners will build, retail and advertise the products, we really hope to see something like Nokia Swan or Nokia E1 this time. They are all strong and beautiful enough to be the “good business” model mentioned in the CEO’s speech at MWC 2016. So, let’s wait and see!

In general, it is a very decent machine to serve almost all kinds of tasks you want to do with a smartphone such as surfing the Net, watching movies, playing games, etc.

Meanwhile, not long ago, Nokia C9 was spotted on the internet with an estimated 5.0-inch Full HD display, a kickass camera sensor (with PureView resolution for sure), and a big battery. Speaking more specifically, from what we know about Nokia smartphones, if the C9 is really going to aim at mid-range market, we guess Nokia C9 specs will be likely to include 2GB of RAM, at least 16MP PureView rear shooter, and an at least 4,000mAh battery.

Nokia-C9-Jermaine-Smit-concept-1-490x276

Overall, Nokia E1 and C9 are not very different from each other when it comes to strength comparison. Though, we have to admit that Nokia E1 may be a bit better than Nokia C9 in terms of taking photo. Yet, of course, we are also aware that better things usually come with higher prices. Let’s move on to the next part for more information!

Nokia C9 VS Nokia E1: Price and availability

Nokia_Android_Apple_concept_1

Nokia Anple: Luxurious design and Powerful hardware

Nowadays, Apple iPhones are receiving much love from many consumers for their elegant designs. Meanwhile, a lot of people prefer Android OS to iOS. And we all know, Nokia is coming back and it is thousands of people’s favorite brand due to its quality products and reasonable prices. Well, those are like three names to represent three important factors contributing to a device’s success. And perhaps, Dimitris Morianos did want to create a successful handset like that.

Specifically speaking, Dimitris Morianos combined the above famous elements of Apple, Android and Nokia into just one machine. If so, spec-wise, it is likely to own a 4.7-inch 750 x 1334p screen with about 326 ppi, a dual SIM, 4G LTE, 3GB RAM paired with 16/64/128GB of internal storage and a set of 5MP front and 13MP rear cam. Besides, the whole device is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 820 chip, a 3,000mAh cell and Android 6.0. A perfect package of specs, rite?!

Design-wise, it seems a reminder of Apple iPhone, but still keeps the classic answer plus end call buttons, and volume and camera keys. Additionally, there’s a Nokia logo on the front, and together with other icons, it uses LED lighting in various colors to help navigate, especially in unstable lighting conditions. Brushed metal will be also included in the sides to make the phone look more luxurious.

Nokia Anple price and availability

In general, this is quite an impressive model when gathering all the best things of Apple, Android and Nokia in only one Nokia smartphone. However, no word has been made for its availability as well as price yet. But, in case of coming true, we predict the machine will cost around $220. What do you think?

Nokia 1008 VS Nokia Zeno : 2GB RAM Beasts for selfie lovers

As we are advancing closer and closer to Nokia comeback 2016, more and more smartphone designs are being introduced so as we have an overlook of what the first Nokia smartphone at reborn will feature. For many users without any special needs, 2GB RAM is already enough to have a smooth performance. Nokia Zeno RAM, though has not been revealed yet, is predicted to be either 2GB or 4GB capacity.

Both of these latest smartphones by Nokia stand out from the crow thanks to their awesome camera sensors. Nokia Zeno has a once-of-a-kind selfie camera on the front that sports 41MP Pureview resolution. Meanwhile, Nokia 1008 has a unique twisting camera featuring 38MP Pureview that can be used both for selfie and normal pictures. If these 2 come out true, seems like Nokia smartphones will be focusing on the camera-centric category of mobile handset.

Nokia Transparent

Besides very appealing camera sensors provided by Carl Zeiss with Pureview technology, both Nokia 1008 VS Nokia Zeno specs are very decent too. Nokia 1008 comes with 2GB RAM, 32GB ROM and Snapdragon 600 and special Light notification provided by a second LED Flash. Nokia Zeno will allegedly comes with 2 or 4GB RAM, 4,000 mAH and Windows OS.
