HTC Bolt: 3GB RAM, 18MP main cam
This September, Apple introduced their latest phones: iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. One of the most controversial specs of these phones is the headphone jack. The company decided to ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack to make the phone thinner and waterproof. Now, it seems that HTC will follow Apple’s step to add no headset jack to their new phone- HTC Bolt.
Last month, Bolt renders had shown up online. At the first look, this phone resembles the flagship HTC 10. The phone has an all-in-one metal design with two antenna lines on the top and bottom of the rear panel. On the front, there will be a fingerprint scanner. Not only are HTC Bolt renders leaked, some of its specs also spotted online.
According to some sources, the phone will come with a 5.5-inch screen with the resolution of 1080 x 1920 px (Full HD). It will pack 3GB RAM paired with 64GB of expandable storage. iPhone 7 explosion: first case in China
Nowadays, smartphones have played an integral part in our life. However, a new problem recently arisen has been making consumers quite concerned and nervous. I bet we are all aware of the continuous explosions of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 reported in many countries. Following up the accident, other phone makers are also afraid to see their handsets in the same situation. The explosion made the phone split into two pieces. Unluckily, the owner was injured on the face and hands. It is reported that the incident occurred last week. After that, Chinese press posted share the story over the Internet. In response to the unwanted incident, Apple’s representative in China also reported the situation back to the head office.
Until now, representative of Apple in China has yet to make any announcement about the problem and solution. Therefore, we don’t know the reason of the explosion and how Apple will deal with the incident. However, such breaking news somehow will affect the reputation of the company. We are hoping for the best and that not more unit will catch the same fire.
iPhone 7 explosion: lesson for other smartphone makers

Another iPhone 6 Plus exploded during charging!
Breaking news for iPhone users: From a recent report, an iPhone 6 Plus exploded while it was charging. Apple is carrying out investigation on this incident. Let’s have a look!
iPhone 6 Plus exploded – What happened?
It seems that smartphones nowadays are no longer safe for users, even when they are made by big brands. After the Samsung scandal with Galaxy Note 7 explosions, Apple could very well be next in line. From the report of ABC30, an iPhone 6 Plus exploded while it was charging. This iPhone belongs to a woman named Yvette, who is living in Fresno, California. As Yvette said, her iPhone suddenly exploded while she was sleeping. The explosion created a big noise and wake Yvette up at around 3AM.
According to Yvette, she bought the iPhone 6 Plus at an Apple retailer three months ago, with full accessories from Apple. The woman also confirmed that she charged her phone with the correct adapter. She called Apple on the next day to announce the incident. After that, Yvette received the replacement product from the local Apple store. Although the explosion didn’t hurt the woman, her Apple Watch and some furniture such as tables and glasses were damaged.
Noticeably, there was another case of iPhone 6 Plus exploding happening just recently. Earlier in September, another iPhone 6 Plus exploded suddenly in the back pocket of Hlavaty – a college student. In both incidents, the fire is reported to come from the battery.
iPhone 6 Plus exploded – The reaction from Apple
The official cause of both cases is not known yet. At the present, Apple is in the investigating process to find the main reason behind these incidents. So, we’ll see the final words from the company soon. Hopefully, Apple will not repeat the mistake of Samsung. For more information and updates about this incident, keep following our page!
iPhone 7 Plus overview : limitations
Since being launched in early September, the iPhone 7 Plus becomes a hot topic on the internet. This phone comes with stronger internal assets and many innovative features. Anyway, this newest Apple phone isn’t a perfect device. Let’s take a look at iPhone 7 Plus overview to see 4 limitations of this phone.
iPhone 7 Plus overview : biggest limitations
First, from many user feedbacks, iPhone 7 Plus has a bulky body, which is one of the biggest limitations of this phone. As you know, iPhone 7 Plus measures at 158.2 x 77.9 x 7.3 mm. These are big sizes for a smartphone nowadays. However, despite a big body, iPhone 7 Plus has a low screen size. It comes with 67.7% screen-to-body ratio, which is lower than that of Galaxy S7 Edge (76.1%) and Google Pixel Xl (71.2%). So, iPhone 7 Plus don’t have an expert design.
Second, if you are using iPhone 7 Plus or you have a chance to hold this phone in hands, you’ll recognise a limitation of this phone. Unlike flagships from Samsung, iPhone 7 Plus is quite difficult to keep in your hand. One of the reason is from the bulky body as mentioned. Third, to be the latest iPhone generation, iPhone 7 Plus still gets a quite small battery capacity. It comes with just a 2900 mAH cell.
Fourth, the camera is also a limitation of iPhone 7 Plus. Although this phone is one of the top camera smartphones in the world, it is still not really good as many people expect. As you know, the phone comes with a dual camera on the back, including a telephoto lens and a wide-angle lens. However, the telephone lens works less often than the wide-angle lens. That’s a big loss for the iPhone 7 Plus camera because the telephone lens sports many interesting features.
iPhone 7 Plus price
However, you must accept that there are alway some limitations on a flagship smartphone. Apple iPhone 7 Plus is not an exception. In case you are going to skip these limitations and bring this phone home, here is iPhone 7 Plus price. It comes at $769 for 32GB storage version, $869 (for 128GB), and $969 (for 256GB). The iPhone 7 Plus dual camera – the truth of 2x optical zoom lens
Since Apple launched iPhone 7 series, iPhone 7 Plus dual camera has become a hot topic. It comes with many premium features that help you take better photos. However, a recent research points out that iPhone 7 Plus uses its second camera lens less often than you think. Let’s find the reasons behind it!
iPhone 7 Plus dual camera – the truth
For those who haven’t known, iPhone 7 Plus comes with two 12MP camera lens on the back. The first lens features a wide-angle, with 28mm in size and f/1.8 aperture. This lens is also supported by many camera technologies like OIS, phase detection autofocus, and quad-LED flash. It brings 10x digital zoom. Meanwhile, the second lens is called “telephoto lens”, which sports a 56mm in size, f/2.8 aperture, and 2x optical zoom. It allows the phone to capture photos from far distances. Both of them are combined to bring high-quality photos.
However, as an interesting research from Glenn Fleishman in Macworld, iPhone 7 dual camera uses its second lens (2x optical zoom) less than the first lens (10x digital zoom). That means the second lens with “2x optical zoom capibility” is often in the “rest status”. On the other hand, the first lens with “10x digital zoom” is commonly used in taking photos. One of the reasons comes from the f/1.8 aperture on the first lens.
To be more specific, the f/1.8 aperture on the first lens lets in more light than the f/2.8 aperture on the second lens. That helps the iPhone 7 produce high-quality photos even in low light conditions. The f/1.8 lens is also assisted by OIS technology, which help avoid blurry photos.
iPhone 7 Plus dual camera – How to use the 2x optical zoom lens
As the result, the iPhone 7 Plus uses its “2x optical zoom lens” less often than the “10x degital lens”. That said, the 2x optical zoom lens is still used in some cases, when you want to take a high-quality photos from far away. To use this lens, just click the shutter button to change from 1x to 2x, that’s all. Hopefully, you will have interesting experiences with iPhone 7 Plus dual camera!

iOS 10 on iPhone 5 and 5c : The big loses
iOS 10 is now available on Apple iPhones, including iPhone 5/5C, iPhone 6 series, and iPhone 7 series. However, this is a bad new for iPhone 5 and 5C users, when those devices won’t be supported some interesting features of iOS 10.
iPhone 5 and 5C doesn’t have some features of iOS 10
As you know, Apple has officially launched the latest iOS 10, with many innovative features. The company also confirmed to bring iOS 10 on iPhone 5/5C and later generations. However, on iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C, the iOS 10 will be deleted some interesting features. This could be the bad new for those who are using iPhone 5 or iPhone 5C. The reason could be the limitation of iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C hardware.
To be more specific, iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C will lose the “People” function. On the iPhone 6 series and iPhone 7 series, this function allows the device to recognise those photos with the same faces and save them in the same folder. Also, users won’t find the Memories function on iPhone 5 or iPhone 5C. This function helps you to create expert and beautiful slideshows by using photos and videos on the phone. Those slideshows are also combined with cool music and professional animation.
The next difference between the iOs 10 on iPhone 5/5C and other iPhones is the “Raise to Wake” function. Like its name, “Raise to Wake” function allows the iPhone to wake its screen up automatically when you hold the phone up. This function is now only supported on iPhone 7, 7 Plus, iPhone 6s, 6s Plus and iPhone SE. That’s mean iPhone 6 also lose “Raise to Wake” function. Besides, iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C won’t have those features as follow: Touch ID, Apple Pay, 3D Touch, Translating Audio message, Night Shift, Defending Advertisement, Sleep Tracking, Continuously taking photos and Slow motion effect.
iOS 10 on iPhone 5 and 5C

iPhone 7 benchmark: highest scores on Geekbench
After getting the highest scores on Antutu, iPhone 7 benchmark continues to dominate Geekbench. With the scores of more than 5000 points for multi-core scores, this phone has surpassed the latest flagship from Samsung – Galaxy Note 7.
iPhone 7 benchmark: highest scores on Geekbench
Benchmarks are among the greatest ways to measure the power of a phone. Once a smartphone gets high scores on a benchmark like Antutu or Geekbench, this device is considered as one of the most powerful handsets in the market. The newcomers of Apple (iPhone 7 and 7 Plus) already showed up on both Antutu and Geekbench. Compared to the other flagships, these devices are beasts.
So, let’s see how powerful iPhone 7 chipset is when compared to the other Android flagships. iPhone 7 benchmark comes with very high scores for both single-core and dual-core performance. On Geekbench, this Apple new phone stands in the 1st place with 3450 points for single-core scores. The next places go to Galaxy S7 with 1806 points. The other positions are Note 7 (1786), S7 Edge (1744), Huawei P9 (1729), and OnePlus 3 (1698).
For multi-core scores, the orders of the top phones list are still the same. iPhone 7 (Plus) continues to get the 1st spot with 5630 points. S7 comes next with 5213 scores. The flagship Note 7 has the 3rd place with 5228 points. The fourth, fifth, and sixth position belong to S7 Edge (5203), Huawei P9 (4735), and OnePlus 3 (4015) respectively.
iPhone 7 benchmark: defeats Samsung flagships
Samsung and Apple have always been direct rivals to each other. They have competed, even sued each other for a long time. Samsung has recently been one step ahead of Apple in smartphone technologies (waterproof, iris scanner). However, now, Apple wins over all three Samsung flagships. Now, Apple with iPhone 7 (Plus) is leading Samsung with Note 7, especially when the Korean company is in trouble with Note 7 explosions. Hopefully, Galaxy S8 can make a big hit for Samsung.
iPhone 7 Antutu: defeating OnePlus 3 to be the King
OnePlus 3 is now no longer the King of Antutu as best performance smartphones. Now, this place belongs to iPhone 7. iPhone 7 Antutu scores of more than 170,000 will be the new King on this Antutu list.
iPhone 7 Antutu scores: surpassing every other phone!
In the first half of this year, OnePlus 3 was the King of Antutu for performance smartphones. With the scores of 140,288, it still stands in the first place of the Antutu top performance smartphones chart for August. However, it can’t keep this spot any longer. The latest OnePlus flagship can not compete with the newcomer from Apple – iPhone 7.
iPhone 7 has just been tested through the app with the amazing scores of 178,397. Compared to iPhone 6s last year (132,620 points), iPhone 7 is 1.3 times stronger. Apple A9 is a strong processor. It only stands behind SND 820 on the Antutu benchmark. Now, A10 Fusion is even stronger with 40% faster performance.
Let’s recap iPhone 7 specs again to see how powerful it is. This handset runs on a quad-core A10 Fusion processor and iOS 10. It packs 2GB of RAM paired with 32/128/256GB of non-expandable inbuilt storage. About photography, the phone is equipped with a 7MP snapper on the front and a 12MP cam with OIS, quad-LED flash on the back. Apple iPhone 7 comes with a 4.7-inch Retina HD display and a 1960mAh battery capacity.
iPhone 7 Antutu: can Apple A10 Fusion surpass SND 821?
With huge scores like that, iPhone 7 with A10 Fusion chipset is the toughest rival for any phones. It already takes the crown from OnePlus 3 which has the highest scores for more than half the year. However, can this chipset defeat SND 821? Antutu used to test the predecessors of these chipsets. And SND 820 beats A9 from Apple to be in the 1st spot. So, this time, will this happen again? SND 821 will defeat A10? Or A10 will rise to the number 1 place?
