Yesterday the Meizu Founder J.Wong posted a first picture of Meizu’s next Flagship, the Meizu MX5. From what we can see the Meizu MX5 will have extremely thin bezels, and a physical home button similiar to the Meizu MX4 Pro.

Originally J.Wong posted the pictures as a response to the new Galaxy S6, which has a similiar looking home button. As you can see on the picture the Meizu MX5 gets really super narrow bezels and a brushed metal look. On the first look this Design is quite similiar to the current MX4 Pro, but the Home Button is slightly different. Also the edges are more rounded, which gives the Meizu MX5 an more elegant look.

From other information we have the Meizu MX5 will come with a vastly improved new camera, with 41MP. This would make the MX5 truly remarkable, the only other comparable smartphone cameras that come to mind are the Nokia 808 PureView and Nokia Lumia 1020.

Further we expect the Meizu MX5 to sport Mediatek’s newest CPU, the high end MT6795, that was just announced last month. The MT6795 is an true Octa-Core 64bit Processor, which clocks up to 2.2Ghz. The Chips supports displays up to 1,600 x 2,560 resolution and even 480fps Full HD videos. Most likely we will see 4GB of LDDR4 RAM in the Meizu MX5. The Meizu MX4 Pro comes already with 3GB RAM and Meizu is known to have the latest specs in their powerful smartphones. Other leaks include a 5.5″ 2K QHD display on the Meizu MX5. Probably this will be similiar to the 16:10 display with a 1,536 x 2,560 on the Meizu MX4 Pro.

J.Wong showed us the design of the new Meizu MX5. The Meizu MX5 release date is expected to take at least a few month more and will be probably priced around 1999yuan, in line with the MX4 and MX4 Pro. If Meizu really packs a 41MP Camera in the MX5, which is not too unlikely if you know Meizu, then they will have a real hotseller on their hands.

Today Huawei honestly surprised many at the MWC 2015 in Barcelona. While many of you were waiting for news about the Huawei P8 Flagship , Huawei launched today maybe the best looking Android Wear device ever – the new Huawei Watch. Now Huawei has not only high quality flagships like the Dual Camera Honor 6 plus, but also a very stylish Android Wearable – 2015 gets exciting!

Huawei might be best known for making fun of the competition recently, but honestly the new Huawei watch might easily be the best looking wearable Android Device up to date. The new Huawei Watch comes with 1.4″ AMOLED Screen, that has a 286ppi pixel density. The Watch has a 42mm round screen, that is actually smaller then most other oversized Anroid wearables out there. The Huawei Watch is made from stainless steel and will be available in silver, gold or black finish.

Other features of the Huawei watch include a 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory and a heart rate monitor. In fact you get a many different sensors for health and your daily activity tracking You can connect the Watch via Bluetooth. It really looks like Huawei tries to combine the features of the current Android wearables with a great design.

As you can see on the pictures the Huawei’s watch display is completely circular, with great looking bezels and overall amazing style. The Huawei Watch release date will be in June 2015. Huawei plans to launch the watch in 20 countries for the beginning and did not mention a pricing yet. Honestly the new Huawei Watch looks much better then most Android Wearables we have seen so far and we look forward to the launch.

Both the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge run on the same hardware, so these impressive Benchmarks will be valid for both devices. These are of course Benchmarks from the Pre-Release Version, so Samsung might be actually able to improve them even further till the official Samsung Galaxy S6 Release Date in April.

As you can see the Galaxy S6 Edge Antutu Benchmark is 69019 points. While of course Antutu Benchmarks are not everything this is truly impressive. If you have a closer look you can see that the S6 Edge beats the Meizu MX4 and the Galaxy Note 4, by very far in this benchmark.

We also tested the S6 Edge on AndroBench and with the new SSD’s tech in S6 and S6 Edge memory, the read and write speeds really improved by a lot. While the Galaxy S5 scored just 24.2 MB/s the S6 Edge is able to score 139.08MB/s! (sequential write). We are really very impressed by Samsung’s new UFS 2.0 internal memory.

In GFX bench the S6 Edge gets a very solid score, while not as impressive as the Antutu Benchmark. The S6 Edge still got a very good 30FPS in the T-REX Game – Thats good news for Gamers. In The Geekbench CPU Benchmark Samsung’s new Exnos 7420 showed very good multi and single core performance. In fact it looks like the Exynos 7420 is able to surpass Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 in this test. Good news for Samsung fans!

While today the news is mostly about the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge and HTC ONE M9, Xiaomi just launched another potential Hotseller – The Xiaomi Mi Pro Camera. Xiaomi officially launched their XIaomi Mi Pro Camera for just 399 Yuan, that is 64USD. That is slightly more then we reported initially about the Xiaomi Mi Pro Camera, but still much cheaper then the Go Pro Hero.

As we reported earlier Xiaomi finally launched their Xiaomi Mi Pro Camera and that much cheaper then the Go Pro Camera. The Yi Action Camera as is the official name of Xiaomi’s first Camera can record 1080p videos an sports a 16MP Camera with Sony’s high quality Exmor R BSI CMOS image sensor. That is even better then the Go Pro Camera which comes with a 5MP Camera and 30fp in Full HD or 60fp in HD. That of course is just on paper and we need to see the real world experience.

The Xiaomi Mi Pro Camera is able to beat the Go Pro Hero as well in the internal memory department and weight. The Xiaomi Mi Pro Camera comes with 64GB (double of the Go Pro) and just weights 72g, compared to the 111gramm of the Go Pro. As well it has a larger battery. With the Yi Action Camera you can go underwater up to 40 meters, which might be one of the most important features for many of you, bringing it to your holidays.

For this price of course there are some difference to the Go Pro Hero. The Xiaomi Mi Pro Camera comes without casing or any notable accessoires, thats a main difference to the Go Pro. You Are able to buy a “Travel Edition” of the XIaomi Yi Action Camera though. The “Travel Edition” will come with a Selfie Stick Mount, which will be probably very famous here in Asia.

Apart from that it looks like you can really stick the new Xiaomi Mi Pro Camera to everything – even a cat. While this is funny it means that you can use the Xiaomi Yi Action Camera with your Motobike, Surfing Snowboarding – really everywhere you go. We only hope Xiaomi will launch a protective case for the camera. Especially for Action Sports this would be useful. You can control the Xiaomi Yi Action Camera via an Xiaomi Android App, similiar to the Air Purifier and other Xiaomi products.

Xiaomi Mi Pro Action Camera Launch Pictures

The XIaomi Yi Action Camera will be launched via Xiaomi’s China Store first and sell for 399 Yuan, that is 64USD or 230RM. That is just a fraction of the Go Pro Price. As you know Xiaomi really offers good quality for the price. So I think we personally will try to get our hands on the Camera as soon as it launches!

Samsung’s Unpacked Event at the MWC 2015 was all about Samsung’s newest generation of smartphones, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. It seems that the older Edge Version is selling quite well for Samsung, so they will keep the Edge Series around.

There have already been a lot of leaks about the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, but now both phones are official and we will give you all the details there are to know.

Design wise both new Galaxy S6 are a break from Samsungs, traditional ways in a very positive way. Samsung changed from an all plastic case, to Dual Glas design with brushed metallic edges. The new combination of materials works really well for the S6 and S6 edge. We would even say the new Galaxy phones, are definitely the best designed Galaxy Smartphones so far ever. Even with a protruding camera as the iPhone 6 has as well. The only tiny drawback is that the Galaxy S6 is not water-and dustproof anymore.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 boasts 5.1″ Super AMOLED display with 2K Quad HD resolution and very impressive 577 ppi. The display is protected by Gorilla Glas 4. The Home Key you know from earlier Galaxy Designs, is a fingerprint sensor and supports the new Samsung Pay Solution.

Samsung Pay works with NFC and Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) to enable easier mobile payments. Samsung is already working with major key partners like American Express and Bank of America, as well Samsung Pay has been certified by Mastercard and Visa.

In comparison with the Galaxy Note 4 Edge, the S6 Edge is bent on both sites and not only one side. While the curves on the S6 edge are not similiar impressive as on the Note Edge, two curves on the smartphone look very spectacular and innovative. The S6 Edge display is also a 5.1″ AMOLED with a 2K resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels and proteced by Gorilla Glas 4.

As we reported earlier Samsung decided not to go for the Snapdragon 810, most likely because of potential overheating problems. Both the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge are sporting Samsung’s own Exynos 7420 chip, built with a 14nm process. Otherwise the Exnos 7420 is also a Octa-Core 64bit cpu with four cortex A57 cores clocked at 2.1Ghz and four cortex A53, clocked at 1.5Ghz. Otherwise both phones sport a Mali-T760 GPU and 3GB of LDDR4 RAM. This is the newest version of RAM and already featured in the LG G FLEX2. Most likely most smartphones in 2014 will come with LDDR4 RAM.

The Main Camera of both new Galaxy’s is a 16MP ISOCELL CAMERA with OIS, autofocus and single led flash. The Camera supports 4K video recording. The Front Shooter is a 5MP Shooter, capable of 1080p video recording. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Duo comes in 32GB/64GB/128GB versions, that are non expendable via micro-sd. The internal memory of Samsung uses “Command Queue” tech that you know from SSD’s, making them much faster. In fact the new flagships have random reading speeds of 19,000 input/output operations (IOPS), thats up to 2.7x times faster then previos flagships. Also you get LTE CAT 6, NFC, IR Blaster and FM RADIO.

Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge Hands on Gallery

Both Galaxy S6 and S6 edge run on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Samsung’s latest Touchwiz. Also Samsung has partnered with Microsoft for the new Galaxy Series and you get 115GB One Drive storage for up to two years. The Samsung Galaxy S6 comes with a 2550mAh battery and the S6 edge gets a 2600mah battery.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge will officially launch on APril 10 in 20 countries, with even more launch countries in May. Both have various color options with White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, Blue Topaz for the S6 and even an Green Emerald version for the S6 Edge. The officiall price is yet to be revealed.

We have more good news for Asus Zenfone fans. After we reported yesterday that the Asus Zenfone 2 was able to take the Antutu Top Position, the Asus Zenfone 2 has now won the prestigious IF Design Award for 2015.

The winning of the IF Design Award for 2015 should bring the Zenfone 2 some further popularity before the official release date on 9th March in Taiwan. Asus congratulated the Zenfone 2 on their GPlus Page and said “top design in innovation, ergonomics, and functionality.”

By now we know already that there will be at least three different versions of the Asus Zenfone 2 phone. The Zenfone model that was able to get the Antutu Score of over 50.000 points features 2GB of RAM, a HD 5.5″ Screen. The Higher End model of Zenfone 2 will come with whopping 4GB of RAM, and Full HD resolution. There will be also a a cheaper and smaller 5″ model launching and others with Qualcomm’s and Mediatek cpu’s later this year.

Asus Zenfone 2 Hands on Pictures

The Asus Zenfone 2 will officially release next month in Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, China and France. In April the Asus Zenfone 2 will come officially to Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Italy. Further countries will be Japan and India in April and Brazil in June this year.

The MWC in Barcelona will start tomorrow and of course now we will see more and more leaks. We already reported that there is a Z4 Tablet launching and we have for you the first real pictures of Sony’s upcoming devices.

As you can see on the pictures we see two of the new Xperia Devices, that Sony will release at the MWC. One of them is the earlier reported Z4 tablet and the other one is a new smartphone. The Smartphone’s design is quite similiar to the Xperia Z3. It would be surprising if this would be the Xperia Z4, and we might just see a new Sony Model, the Sony M4 Aqua.

From earlier reports we know already about the Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet Specs. Sony said the Z4 Tablet will be “extremely thin”, boasting a “2K display” and be powered “the latest ultra fast processor”. So most likely the Z4 Tablet will feature the Snapdragon 810, as confirmed by Qualcomm’s reports earlier. Also you most likely get 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory. As you can see in the pictures both devices feature Android Lollipop 5.0.

While it seems quite clear that we will see a new Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet tomorrow, we are not quite sure yet for the Sony Xperia Z4 smartphone. Quite a few rumors say that tomorrow Sony will launch a new model, the Sony M4 Aqua, the successosr to the Sony’s midrange M2 Aqua. Also there were some reports that the Sony Xperia Z4 might just launch in Summer 2015.

Recently Sony’s Smartphone business has been struggling and there were rumors of a shutdown of Sony’s Smartphone division. We will definitely report from the Sony Launch in Barcelona from tomorrow and keep you updated!

HTC’s new Flagship the HTC ONE M9 will launch on this Sunday first March at the MWC in Barcelona. By know you already have a very clear picture of the HTC ONE M9 design, because of the leaked HTC advertising video . We also had some ONE M9 specs leaked before. Now these leaks have been confirmed by a GFXbench Benchmark of the HTC ONE M9.

The HTC ONE M9 specs will feature a 5″ screen with resolution of 1920×1080. Htc’s new Flagship is powered by Qualcomm’s newest Octa-Core 64bit Snapdragon 810 clocked at 2.0Ghz and gets 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. As we reported earlier the Main Camera will be 20MP and you get a 4MP Ultrapixel Camra on front. The phone will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC’s Sense 7.0. According to GFX Bench the phone will sport a 2840mAh battery and you get 128GB micro-sd slot.

We also expect HTC to launch the HTC ONE M9 Plus on Sunday with an larger 5.2″ 2K Display and also a HTC smartwatch. Of course we will report directly from MWC 2015 for you and let you know as soon as the new phone is launched.

The Asus Zenfone 2 set the record of being the first smartphone ever to launch with 4GB of RAM. Now it looks like the Asus Zenfone 2 is setting another record with its Antutu Score. We have Antutu Benchmarks of the Asus Zenfone 2 for you and it looks like the Zenfone 2 can top the current leader, the Meizu MX4. With a score Antutu Score of 50,041 the Asus Zenfone 2 takes the top position and beats Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Meizu MX4. As well this is much higher then earlier Asus Zenfone 2 Antutu Scores

The Asus Zenfone 2 used for this Antutu benchmark features a Intel Atom Z3580 SoC clocked at 2.3 Ghz and PowerVR Rogue G6430 GPU. The GPU was in fact one of the major contributers for the Record Setting Antutu Score! This means that the Asus Zenfone 2 might be a serious consideration for Gamers as well. This might just be a unique advantage over the Meizu MX4, with a weaker GPU.

And we have more good news for Asus Zenfone fans. The Zenfone 2 version to achieve this record setting score was actually the 2GB RAM Version. The 4GB RAM version should be able to score even higher with double the amount of RAM. Also for the screen 720 x 1280 was used, while the final resolution of the 5.5″ Screen will be Full HD 1080 x 1920.

In further news the Asus Zenfone 2 will come also in a smaller 5 inch version. Also in the second and third quarter of 2015 Asus is expected to launch lower priced variants of the Zenfone 2 with Snapdragon and Mediatek Cpus.

All Asus Zenfone 2 Benchmarks

Overall the Asus Zenfone 2 looks like a very hot package to us. The Asus Zenfone 2 Release Date will be in April for Malaysia and the Price will be 199USD for the 2GB Version. We expect the 4GB RAM version to sell at 299USD. For us the Asus Zenfone 2 is Proof that all other Smaprthones at the Moment are too pricey!

If you want to spend a little bit more, you can order the Zenfone 2 already in March at Aliexpress for 299USD and 439USD respectively.

Good news for all Xiaomi fans. After launching the extreme successful Xiaomi Note and Note Pro , Xiaomi just teased a new product launch for the 2nd march at 10am. Based on the teasers we will see a very lightweight product that will be related to travel. Could this be Xiaomi’s long awaited MI Pro Camera?

But what could this new product be? Based on earlier reports and user opinions in China this might very well the long awaited Xiaomi Mi Pro Camera, or a similiar Xiaomi Camera product. According to the teaser the product will be in any case very small and related to your travels. Xiaomi says as “small as a matchbox”.

Originally the reports said the Xiaomi Mi Pro Camera might launch as cheap as 99Yuan (RM54 or 16USD)

We will have to wait till next week to see if Xiaomi really launches their first camera product. If so we could very well see a Go Pro Like Camera for fraction of the price of the real Go Pro.

While we have seen many leaks and renders of an potential Samsung Galaxy S6, the real Galaxy S6 remained mysterious till now.We have already seen the Beast Antutu Score of 60.000 Points but just now we have finally some pictures for you that seem to show the real Samsung Galaxy S6 on Hands on Pictures.

The S6 pictures were first posted in the XDA devs forum and seem to be show a prototype or test model of the S6 We can clearly see the brushed metal sides of the device, similiar to earlier leaks. The Samsung Logo on the front under the earpiece is covered. The User who first posted the pictures said the new S6 “seems” to get “glass back and front.”

Also confirmed by earlier information the S6 seems to have a large protruding main camera on the rear, next to an LED flash and a hear rate sensor. On the front you get an huge front camera, which makes us think the S6 will probably get the same 5MP Front Shooter as the Galaxy Note 4. It seems this Galaxy S6 is missing an SD Card slot though.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 release date will be on this Sunday at the MWC 2015 in Barcelona. At the same time Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S6 Edge. Both phones will be released around the world and in most markets.

We have good news for all Meizu and Ubuntu Touch Fans! Meizu has confirmed officially that on the MWC, the Meizu MX4 will be launched with three different Operating Systems. As you can see on their Microblogging platform they officially confirmed the good news for the MWC in Barcelona next week.

We have reported earlier about an exclusive contract between Meizu and Canonical. Also there were leaks about Meizu MX4 featuring Ubtuntu Touch. Now we have the official news of Meizu!

It really seems that Meizu is going innovative ways with their flagship, the Meizu MX4. Originally the Meizu MX4 is featuring Flyme 4.0 OS. Also the Meizu MX4 is working with YunOS, the Android OS made by E-Commerce Giant AliBaba. Next week Meizu fans, will get the third option – Ubuntu Touch for Meizu MX4.

The Ubuntu Touch OS, uses the same core technology as the Ubuntu Desktop Edition. That means apps that were created will work on Ubuntu Touch and vice versa. Also Ubuntu Desktop parts will support the Ubuntu Touch OS System for Mobile. Your Ubuntu Touch MX4 can provide a full desktop experience if connected with an external monitor or Docking Station. Awesome!

We also have some rumors that the Meizu MX4 Pro will be available with Ubuntu Touch and it seems that Canoncial has been able to optimize Ubuntu Touch running on Mediatek MT6595 CPU. This means that very soon there could be other Flagship Smartphones running on Ubuntu Touch OS.

Conclusion: We have very good news for all Meizu and Ubuntu Fans. Meizu officially confirmed to launch Ubuntu Touch for the Meizu MX4 at the MWC next week in Barcelona.
