Xiaomi Mi Note Black Launch: No Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Yet
A limited black Xiaomi Mi Note edition had been released by the company in cooperation with the pop star Zhang Jie at the press conference yesterday. We will give you a short Xiaomi Mi Note Black Review from the Launch yesterday.
Recently, there have been so many rumors about the new products to be launched in the April 15 event. From the new mid-range Xiaomi Mi 4i to the news that flagship Xiaomi Mi Note Pro finally going on sale, but it turns out to be the limited Xiaomi Mi Note Black edition. Especially those of you who are waiting for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, might have been slightl disappointed by this Launch.
Traditionally, Xiaomi only releases the white version of its products before launching other colors alternatives. The white Xiaomi Mi Note has hit the shelves for roughly 3 months and quickly went out stock in the first 3 minutes. Other versions of the Mi Note that can be found are the Natural Bamboo version and the Pink version. Both came out after the release of the original one about 2 months. Now the Xiaomi Mi Note Black Version finally launched.
Xiaomi Mi Note Black Specs
Other than a color alternative of the original Mi Note, this model remains the same Xiaomi Mi Note specs: Sporting a 5.7-inch 1080p LCD screen, the phone is powered by a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801, Adreno 330 GPU and 3GB RAM running on MIUI 6, Xiaomi’s Android ROM, and 4G LTE connectivity. A 13MP rear camera with OIS sticks to the back of the device while up front is a 4MP front camera. Also the phone has a 3,000mAh battery with quick charge 2.0 technology.
When is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Release Date ??
The big question though, at least for us is when is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Release Date? We are pretty sure that at 23. 4 Xiaomi will release their first global smartphone the midrange Xiaomi Mi4-i. This means that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 will not be launched in the near future. For us this Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Delayed Launch Strategy is not easy to understand.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note and 4G has been extremely popular in asia, in fact it has been sold out in a few minutes or less at every Flash Sale. By Now there are quite a few competitors in Malaysia like the Meizu M1 Note or Lenovo K1 Note who can easily beat the original Xiaomi Mi Note. The timing would really be right now to launch an updated version of their old time hotseller and make the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 available for Malaysia fast.
Xiaomi Mi Note Black Launch Pictures
Lets get back to the Xiaomi Mi Note Black edition. This Xiaomi Mi Note price is a bit higher than the original white one because it will come out of the box with a CD album by famous Chinese artist Zhang Jie. The Xiaomi Mi Note Price of the Black Edition in Malaysia will be CNY 2499 (RM 1477), which is not so cheap considering the older Snapdragon 801 CPU and only 3GB of RAM.
Only 30,000 limited edition sets of the Xiaomi Mi Note will be sold. We are not sure yet about the Mi Note Black Release Date for Malaysia, first we need to see if the original Xiaomi Mi Note and Note Pro come to Malaysia at all!
What do you think about this black edition? Is more charming than other versions?
Huawei P8 Lite secretly unveiled: 5″ HD, 64-bit octa-core SoC and LTE
During the conference yesterday, no one mentioned that the company would launch the Huawei P8 Lite. Rumor said that this P8 Lite would be launch together with the flagship P8, but it was not. At the same time with the conference, on the products page, a few images of the P8 Lite had been leaked (page is now removed).
When the P8 Lite coming out, it will complete the trio of the P products, a new line of the company. Obviously, this is the mid-range alternative of the newly-launched flagship P8. Probably, the company wants to boost sale of the other 2 premium phones, so this mid-range must wait for a while.
Though not being launched at the moment, the Huawei P8 Lite specs were unveiled before. Having the thickness of 7.7mm, the device spots a 5” 720p display poered by a 64-bit 1.2GHz Cortex-A53 octa-core Kirin 620 processor along with 2GB RAM. Talking about the storage, it has 16GB internal storage, which is expandable via up to 128GB microSD.
On the front, there is a 5MP camera for selfie purposes and a 13MP camera on the back to capture higher resolution photos. Not a single clue whether it has OIS or the RGBW imaging is revealed. Dual SIM with dual standby, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and 4G LTE are supported on this lighter version P8 as well. The Huawei P8 Lite will be running Emotion UI 3 built on the Android Lollipop-based.
As far as we concern about the P8 Lite price, considering these specs, the phone is reportedly priced at €270 ( around RM 1055). The Huawei P8 and the P8 Max are scheduled to launch in 30 countries and luckily, Malaysia is one of the first countries to see them in real. Hopefully, Huawei P8 Lite release date will have the same pattern of launching, including Malaysia.
Huawei P8 Max BEAST : 6.8-INCH DISPLAY AND 4360MAH BATTERY
Yesterday, Huawei had introduced 2 brand new devices: Huawei P8 and Huawei P8 Max.
These 2 news devices are the start of the new P series when Huawei has decided to get rid of the word “Ascend”. The launch event fired up with the introduction of the P8, followed by the P8 Max. The company had made u surprises because only the P8 and the P8 Lite were thought to appear in the conference.
Here comes the specific details of each phone:
Huawei P8
The first thing that catch our eyes is its design. The design focuses on the giving it a premium-feeling with a full-metal unibody distinguishing it from other phones of Huawei. The phone is scratchproof with a nano-coating protecting it from some accidental damages.
The slightly bigger screen 5.2” fHD display takes up 78.3% of the front. Besides a well-designed body, the 6.4mm thickness is another eye-catching feature.
The company introduces a new way of using the touch screen called “Knuckle sense technology”, which means you can use your knuckles to interact with the touchscreen. Also, you just need to crop a part of the screen or double-tap it for a screenshot,
The P8 is powered by a Kirin 935 chipset, an octa-core Cortex A53 processor giving it smooth performance for less power consumption. With a 2680 mAh battery, the company said it could for 2-3 days for normal usage and 1.5 days for heavy usage. Android 5.0 Lollipop comes pre-installed with Emotion UI 3.1 running on top.
The company claimed that P8 is the world’s first smartphone capable of 4 colors RGBW (Red Green Blue White) images, which helps capturing high-quality pics in low light condition. The rear camera is of 13MP with f/2.0 supporting OIS and 1080p video recording. The front-facing camera is of 8MP.
The phone supports dual SIM with dual standby and dual LTE as well. One SIM slot is microSIM sized and the other is nanoSIM sized.
The phone comes in 4 colors: mystic champagne, titanium gray, prestige gold, carbon black. About the Huawei P8 price, the first 2 colors will appear in the 16GB version which cost €499 (RM 1951). The remaining colors are on the 64GB version which will be pricing at €599 (RM 2342).
Huawei P8 Max
Along with the P8, another device called Huawei P8 Max had been introduced last night at the Huawei conference too. As implied in the name, this huge phablet owns an astonishing screen size of 6.8” capable of fHD content display. Though having such a big screen like that, the phone is only 6.8mm of thickness.
Like its sibling, the P8, this model also spots a metal unibody design made of aerospace-grade aluminum. Powered by a 2.2GHz Kirin 930 octa-core 64-bit processor and 3GB RAM, the phone can handle split-screen multi-tasks in landscape mode home screen just like a tablet.
Here isthe sample when you rotate the Huawei P8 Max home screen.
Main camera on the P8 Max are of 13MP with dual LED flash, OIS ability, which is claimed to deliver DSLR-quality pictures. Lying on the back of the device is a 5MP camera taking care of video calls and selfie purposes.
Possessing a large screen and powerful specs, the phone does have a huge battery capacity as well. It is of 4360 mAh. Again, the company asserted that it could last 2-3 days in normal condition and 1.5 days if being used so much. The P8 Max is also a dual SIM and dual standby device. LTE connection on this device can support up to 300Mbps.
The Huawei P8 Max will be launched in 30 countries after the P8. Pricing at €549 is the 16GB version while the 64GB version will cost you €649. Huawei P8 Max price in Malaysia is estimated at around RM 2157 and RM 2560, respectively.
At this price range, the three phones of the new P series are speculated to be strong rivals of iPhone 6, 6 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

5 Reasons to buy Asus Zenfone 2 4GB RAM over the 2GB version
As a real magic, our Asus Zenfone 2 appeared even sooner than our expectation. The phone is sold with the 4GB version and 2GB version as well. While we don’t have much difficulty in seeing the Asus Zenfone 2 2GB version now available in many online stores and also offline shops, the Asus Zenfone 2 4GB version is still a mystery. We are highly sure that many of us are waiting this premium variant so bad. While many guys asked us about the Asus Zenfone 2 4GB version, some guys also are confused to choose between 2GB or 4GB. We are sure, without any doubt, to say that: “If you can spend more TWD 3000 (RM 339) to get the 4GB version instead of the 2GB version, let’s do it”. But why?
Here are 5 reasons why we think you should skip the 2GB to pick the 4GB version. Be notice that this is our personal view. So, if you have any wonder, please kindly let us know.
Asus Zenfone 2 Z551ML has 4GB RAM
While the ZE550ML has “only” 2GB of RAM, the ZE551ML features double spec. The more RAM capacity is, the smoother performance you will experience. We don’t intend to “reduce” the 2GB version. The phone is still great, without doubt, but the 4GB version is even more amazing.
If you’re an Asus lover, you all know that one of the biggest weaknesses of Asus Zenfone 5 is a slow multi-tasking. With newly-announced 4GB Zenfone 2, Asus seems trying so much in response to many criticisms against the successful Zenfone 5.
Coming to the processor, the ZE551ML has two variants. The first choice is 4GB version with the Intel Atom Z3580 2.33GHz processor and another one is reporting the Intel Atom Z3560 1.83GHz.
The TWD 8990 (RM 1050) price tag will come with 5.5″FHD display, 4GB of RAM, Intel Atom Z3580 clocked at 2.33GHz processor. While the 2GB 5.5FHD, Intel Atom Z3560 1.8GHz will be priced at TWD 5990 (RM 711). So, are you ready to pay more TWD 3000 (RM 339) for a better Asus Zenfone 2?
The Metallic Brushed Finish Body on the Asus Zenfone 2 4GB RAM look better!
This is certainly an important thing for us. The 4GB version with the flashy metal finish body can give us a more sophisticated feeling compared to the generic build on the ZE550ML (you can find the same body in Zenfone 5).

Beautiful Full HD Display on the Asus Zenfone 2 4GB RAM
Do you need a sharper display? Definitely YES. While both of them feature a 5.5-inch IPS LCD Corning Gorilla Display, the 4GB ZE551ML packs a higher resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a massive 403 ppi density instead of only 1280 x 720 pixels and roughly 267ppi density in the 2GB ZE550ML.
It is undeniable that with such a large screen of 5.5″, you really need an FHD display. Therefore, you will have much more impressive experience in the 4GB ZE551ML. This is the huge difference between them to create a more powerful, beautiful smartphone and better experience so far.
Asus Zenfone 2 4GB RAM is the only one with NFC
Used properly, NFC (Near-Field Communications) can give you an incredible experience. We have tried it in some places, such as: Car, Home and Offices. By tapping the phone to the tags, the phone will automatically adjusts its settings. If we tap it, at the office, our device goes silent, data goes off, and Wi-Fi connects to the office network. Inside the car, the data and Bluetooth go on while Wi-Fi turns off.
A more powerful 32GB on the high end version of Asus Zenfone 2
Last but not least, the fifth points we want to focus on is a larger 32GB memory space instead of 16GB. The larger, the better. A larger ROM, firstly, can allow you more space downloading more and more media, video clips, music, etc. I know that feeling when I tried to take more photos, but my phone said that “There is not enough space”. Oh, it’s frustrating, right? Futhermore, 32GB should be more than enough for casual-moderate users. If you’re a hardcore user though then that 64GB microSD card can come in handy.
In conclusion: We need to repeat once again, all of aforementioned reasons is our personal point of view. But we think it can be a little bit helpful, anyway. So, let’s consider picking a 4GB Asus Zenfone 2. It will be worthy.
Meizu launches limited edition Beyerdynamic MX4 Pro
We wrote about this news yesterday, Meizu has introduced its most expensive product ever, a set of headphones and smartphone. Yes, it is the headset produced in partnership with the German audio brand, Beyerdynamic.
The Meizu MX4 Pro specs is very powerful along with high-end Hi-fi audio processor, so the company is in need of equipping a professional headset to adapt high requirement of audio performance. Working with a high profile audio brand is the solution for this problem. At first, AKG, the Austrian brand, is thought to be the partner of Meizu but it turns out to be Beyerdynamic, the German audio specialists to handle the issue.
Limited edition Beyerdynamic MX4 Pro
Rather than selling the gold color headset separately as an accessory, the company decided to pack it with the flagship Meizu MX4 Pro in limited edition. Together, this whole set will cost you CNY 3699 (RM 2213). With this price, you will possess a headset with Beyerdynamic branding and a Meizu MX4 Pro 32GB version.
This limited edition Beyerdynamic MX4 Pro release date is set on April 20th. There is no clue that the company will sell the headset alone but we can pre-order this set from now.
Here are some more pics about this bundle!
So what do you think about the gold headphone? Like it or not? Will you choose the Meizu MX4 Pro to be your next flagship phone and get this special headphones?
Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Launch: 64BIT MTK CPU, 5.5″ Full HD and 13MP Samsung Camera?
The good news from Xiaomi just keep coming. There are actually two more Xiaomi events scheduled this month, one for today and one for next week the 23rd. The Xiaomi Launch Event on 23rd is very likely about the Xiaomi Mi4i (Codename Ferrari). Now we get more and more infos that the one today might actually be about the long awaited Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 (Codename H3Y).
The purported Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 specs were leaked by the infamous @upleaks. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 features a 5.5″ Full HD Screen and a very strong Octa-Core 64-BIt MediaTek MT6795 chipset. This is actually the same CPU that runs on the new HTC ONE M9 Plus Phone. On the HTC ONE M9 Plus, the CPU is clocked at 2.2Ghz and runs in combination with 3GB RAM.
First Leaked Xiaomi Redmi Note Pics
Further specs include a Samsung 13MP Main Camera (S5K3M2) and a 5MP Front Camera from OmniVision (OV5670). The new Redmi will launch with MIUI 6 based on Android Lollipop. We dont know yet about the RAM size or internal memory. If we had to guess, we say at least 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM. 3GB RAM would be very much appreciated on the new Redmi though.
While this leaked phone has the codename Xiaomi H3Y, the specs sound very similar to the earlier Xiaomi Redmi Note 2. After all the first Xiaomi Redmi Note was launched more then a year ago in March 2014, its about time for a new version.
While the Xiaomi Redmi Note was pretty much without competition, the Redmi Note 2 will face much competiton, from phones like Meizu M1 Note, Lenovo K1 Note and newer variants like the MlAis Note. The expected Xiaomi Redmi Note Price is CNY 1500, which translates to 194 USD or RM896. This looks actually like it could be higher placed then the REDMI Note, which sold at 150USD. Lets hope that means that we will see 3GB RAM on the new Note. After all companies like Jiayu achieve this price and 3GB RAM already.
What do you think about the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2?
Launch of 3 LeTV phone Beasts: 4GB RAM and Snapdragon 810 !
Smartphone market is becoming more crowded than ever when yesterday, 3 more new devices from LeTV were released, including LeTV S1, LeTV S1 Pro and LeTV Max with price ranging from CNY 1499 (RM 893) to CNY 2699 (RM 1607).
There have been plenty of rumors about the LeTV phones but we have never thought of 3 devices launched at the same time. Yesterday, LeTV did it.
One highlighted point is that all phones are considered as the world’s first borderless smartphones. Not only do they have beautiful design, but they are also powered by mighty specs.
“Super phone” LeTV S1
We have heard about this phone as LeTV X600 before but the company has changed it. This is called LeTV S1 or “Super Phone”. This is a mid-range phone pricing at CNY 1499 (RM 893) for the 16GB version, CNY 1599 (RM 952) for the 32GB version and CNY 1799 (RM 1071) for the 64GB version. Hopefully, the LeTV S1 price in Malaysia won’t make so big difference after adding GST. At this price range, this phone is expected to be a rival for Xiaomi and Meizu devices.
Some specs on this phones match the rumored before, such as octa-core Meidiatek the Helio X10 processor with PowerVR 6200 GPU and 5.5-inch FHD Sharp display but instead of 2GB RAM, the phone offers 3GB RAM to play with. A 5MP Samsung selfie camera is on the front of the device while out back is a 13MP rear camera using Sony sensor with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). Camera section is a huge plus for this phone.
A 3000 mAh battery keeps the light on with Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed and LeUI running on top. LeTV S1 supports USB type C plug, which is usually seen on Macbook series.
LeTV S1 Pro
This LeTV S1 Pro is definitely the LeTV X900 we wrote 3 weeks before. It has an alloy unibody design and hardware updated. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC, the phone spots 5.5” 2K (2560×1920 pixels) Sharp display and 4GB RAM.
Unlike the rumors, the rear camera of this model is just of 13MP instead of 20.7MP. The front camera is of 4MP Ultrapixel as being said. LeHi-fi chipset comes out of the box given users better audio experience. Another update on the S1 Pro is the Dual SIM support with dual standby. Having specs updated a lot, battery capacity remains unchanged which is of 3000 mAh. USB Type C Plug also appears in the version in both gold and silver options.
Strangely, like the S1, the S1 Pro don’t provide memory card slot. You can buy the 32GB variant for CNY 2499 (RM 1488) and the 64GB variant for CNY 2699 (RM 1607).
LeTV Max
We are surprised when seeing this phablet coming out as not a single leak mentioning about it. Possessing an alloy unibody like the S1 Pro, this LeTV Max is also equipped with top-of-the-line specs. No clue about its price yet but this flagship should be around CNY 3000 (RM 1787) for the powerful hardware it has.
Apart from a 6” 2K (2560×1920 pixels) display, the processor and RAM on this are similar to what are on the S1 Pro: Snapdragon 810, 4GB RAM. The larger the screen is, the more battery it uses. That’s why the battery capacity is updated to 3400 mAh instead of 3000 mAh like the other two in the trio.
Front-facing camera is of 4MP Ultrapixel while the rear camera is of 21MP using IMX 230 sensor along with OIS and dual LED flash.
One more interest about this phablet is that there is a fingerprint scanner embedded at the back of the device. You can choose either gold or silver color when buying.
Here is the quick review of the LeTV Max, LeTV S1 Pro and LeTV S1 specs. Have a look at it!
Nobody knows for sure when these phones will hit the shelves in China. So LeTV Max, LeTV S1 Pro and LeTV S1 release date in Malaysia in not confirmed yet.
These are all 3 phones that LeTV introduced yesterday. Is there any of these catching your eyes and fancying you? Will you choose it for your next flagship device?

Oneplus Two and Cheaper Version launch this year
One of the most anticipated smartphones in 2015 is undeniably Oneplus Two. But it maybe not the only device launched by this company this year. One report from Bloomberg implied that this Chinese company could launch another cheaper choice as well.
Oneplus 2 is claimed to be launched in the third quarter 2015. About the cheaper alternative, it is “due for release by the end of the year”. We don’t know exactly who publish the news but the video recorded (on Bloomberg) at the Oneplus headquarter proved it was more than a render.
Oneplus Two Specs
Previouly, we have heard rumors about the next generation of flagship phone from Oneplus, the Oneplus Two. It is speculated to have similar design with its predecessor Oneplus One but adding some updated specs. About the Oneplus Two specs, the phone is told tales to ship with Snapdragon 810 chipset, 5.5” 2K (2560×1920) display along with a larger battery capacity 3100 mAh. Rumor has it that fingerprint scanner will be embedded in the home button. Due to some innovation compared to the Oneplus One, the Oneplus Two can cost more than its sibling.
This is probable the reason why the Oneplus firm launch an alternative for choices. Maybe an Oneplus Two Mini? We have heard much about Oneplus so far but this is the first time about its budget-friendly phone. The company has implied that the other ohone is for “a different type of audience, perhaps for those who appreciate design over specs.”
While the Oneplus One release date in Malaysia is set on April 22, both phones are expecting come out within 6 months from now. Keep up with us for more updated news about these Oneplus devices.
Mid-range Xiaomi Mi 4i launch tomorrow: 4.9″ fHD, LTE, octa-core SoC?
It looks like Xiaomi is going to launch another smartphone soon. In India, the promo image teased on the official fanpage: “i is coming”. The upcoming phone can be named Xiaomi Mi 4i and can be launch later this month in this country. Here we give you a glance of the new Xiaomi Mi 4i review.
Expected Xiaomi Mi 4i specs
Recent test showed us a clearer imagination about this phone. The phone is shipped with a 4.9” fHD touch-screen display (1920×1080 pixels) along with 2GB RAM and 16GB on-board storage. An octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC clocked 1.65 GHz powers the phone while an Adreno 405 GPU handles the graphic.
Out back of the device is a 12MP camera capable of fHD video recording and up front is a 5MP front-facing camera taking care of video calls and selfie purposes. Supporting dual SIM with dual standby and LTE is a plus for this phone. Xiaomi Mi 4i is reported to come with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop pre-installed with Xiaomi own MIUI 6 running on top of it.
All of this specs look exactly the same with the “Xiaomi Ferrari” leaked before. It was thought to be a mid-range smartphone. Therefore, this phone should be a mid-range too. About the Xiaomi Mi 4i price in Malaysia and in China also, we speculate it will range from $190 (RM 702) to $210 (RM 776). Looking at the price, which is lower than the Xiaomi Mi4 price in Malaysia, this is definitely an lower alternative for the successful Mi4.
At Xiaomi Conference tomorrow, April 15, the company will launch its new products. Hopefully, this phone will be on the list. So are you interested in a 4.9” fHD screen with SD615? Let’s wait until tomorrow to see what kind of surprise Xiaomi gives us.
Do students really need smartphones to survive college?
Smartphones are sometimes not allowed in high schools, so it is safe to say phones are not necessary for high school students. Teachers can confiscate your smartphones if they see their students carrying one in the middle of the class.
But how about college? College life is way different than high school life. Professors will never confiscate smartphones from their students in classes. The worst thing can happen is just threatening to confiscate, but less than 5 times for 3 years.
Some students even bring their tablets or laptop to class because they can load PDF files and slideshows. Your smartphones or tablets or laptop are able to appear in classes as long as it doesn’t disturb anyone.
Students certainly cannot survive college without laptop but how about smartphones? How does smartphone help in college?
Information Access
With fast spreading speed of social network, people now mostly communicate with each other through Facebook. Usually, any class has its own Facebook group, Facebook fan page or at least a group chat. Class monitor or anyone related can post updates and assignment through these channels. There will be sometimes you are about to leave house for school then you hear about the suspension, social networks are good way to spread the news and avoid wasting time and traffic jam.
Can you survive you college without these conveniences?
The answer is yes if you have good friends to keep updating for you.
Notes, Boards and PowerPoints
Smartphone camera will be most useful in college when student take picture of what is on the black board of on the screen. Some professor allow to take pictures just because they don’t want to wait until you finish copying. They can even give you their files, slideshows and all the reference materials data on the computer and you can load it into your smartphone if you need.
In this situation, you can totally survive through college without smartphones if you works hard enough. You can borrow others’ material, copy and print them. You can read the paper instead of watching the smartphone screens.
Group discussion and group works
College requires you to work a lot either individually or in teams. You must communicate and make friends with as many people as possible. When working in a group, not all group members will be free for face-to-face meetings due to time availability or distances. In this case, online meeting is a wise choice. You must then use your laptop, your smartphones frequently or go to the computer shop to meet up with other members.
If that’s still not possible, the only solution for this maybe a meeting with some absences.
Talking about other people who non-tech geeks. They usually use basic phones such as Nokia and BlackBerry at first and wonder that why everybody can have crushes on such things like smartphones. It’s a waste of time and money. But just 2 or 3 years later, they use the most high-end smartphone at the time. When I ask them, the answer is still the same: organizing schedules, connecting with friends, saving files on their smartphones, entertaining purposes, etc. Nevertheless, when being asked if it was a ness, they said no. Agree.
The one who carry the best gun is not sure to win the war, just like smartphones are not a demand to survive college. But if you own one, it will help you a lot. It helps your study, you work run smoothly and organizes tasks in a good manner.
Certainly, the keys to survive college are connection and efficiency. So that, smartphone can one ly be helpful when you use it wisely. Smartphone is means of support, not a necessity.
Asus Zenfone 2 Malaysia release date: 21 April or 09 May ?
Let’s talk about a topic that has confused many of you and quite frankly us too, the Asus Zenfone 2 Malaysia Release Date.
We are in steady contact with Asus Malaysia to always bring you the most updated content and news. The first Message we got for the Zenfone 2 Malaysia Release Date was early Q2 2015. Since the Q2 starts in April, eveything hinted at April 2015.
Our next message from the contact at Asus Malaysia said, that the Release Date for the Region including Malaysia would be 21 of April. This date, while later as expected confirms the launchf for other countries as the Zenfone 2 India Launch Date on 24.4. We even got an invitation for the Asus Zenfone 2 Launch.
Now things get confusing though. We did our best to stay ahead of the news and even get an Zenfone 2 Malaysia Review Version ahead of the Malaysia Release Date. Our contact at Asus Malaysia got back to us with a message about a Consumer Event on 9th May:
“Dear Media friends, Something incredible is happening in town – coming soon to you! We will be revealing more info on this consumer event & its activities as time comes. Meanwhile, do register now @ http://bit.ly/incredible-zen-day”
This means that on 9th May 2015 there will be an Asus Zenfone 2 Consumer Event, not more not less. A few media outlets take this as a confirmation for an official Launch in Malaysia. We disagree with this, since the Regional Launch is way ahead on 21.4 including Malaysia.
Overall we agree though – the message that Asus Malaysia gives to their fans and customers is more then ominous. While they can probably allow themselves some freedom with an awesome device like the Zenfone 2, many of you are asking for more information and clarity on the Asus Zenfone 2 Release Date.
We expect Asus Malaysia to Launch all three Zenfone 2 Versions, the ZE551 ML, ZE550ML and ZE550CL
In terms of Asus Zenfone 2 Malaysia pricing, our contact said “hopefully the Zenfone 2 will be priced from RM 800-1100″. If Asus brings their highest Version, the Zenfone 2 Ze551ml with 4GB RAM for RM1099, many fans might just forget the late launch. This would surely be a strong Hotseller for Malaysia After all there is not much competition. Even the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro is expected to sell around RM1800-2000 at a distant Malaysia Launch.
As soon as we have more exact infos about the official Asus Zenfone 2 Malaysia Release Date, well update for you. Of course it could mean we are wrong and after all Asus Zenfone 2 will just come to Malaysian Stores in Middle of May. This would be pretty disappointing. We still think it would be worth the wait and keep our hopes up!
Meanwhile if anyone of you has inside information please come forward 🙂 We stay in contact with our sources at Asus Malaysia.
