After tons of rumors, Sony has finally put out the Sony Xperia Z4 as its latest flagship smartphone. The phone will be launched later this summer according to the press proposal. There are also official pictures giving us full imagine of the device.

Just like what being leaked before, the Sony Xperia Z4 features a 5.2” fHD (1080 x 1920 pixels) display, which is at the same size with the screen on its sibling Xperia Z3. A 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor clocked at 2.0 GHz powers the phone while an Adreno 430 takes care the graphic. Paired with powerful SoC is 3GB RAM to handle multi tasks. On-board storage have an upgrade to 32GB when there is still an up-to-128GB memory card slot.

The device will run on Android 5.0.2 pre-installed. As you would expect from a flagship Sony Xperia, it is dustproof and waterproof at IPX5/8, IP6X, which means it can stay 1.5m under water for around 30 minutes.

The Sony Xperia Z4 sports a 20MP BSI rear camera capable of 4K video recording and a wide-angled 5MP front camera taking care of video calls and selfie purposes. A “cooking mode” is added to the camera section for your perfect shoots of food.

The Sony Xperia Z4 is 0.4mm thinner than the Z3 and that explain why battery capacity on the Z4 is smaller than on the Z3 (2930 mAh compared to 3200 mAh). However, the company said it could keep the light on up to 2 days.

The Sony Xperia Z4 will come in 4 colors: White, Black, Copper and Aqua Green. Accessories for the phone include a waterproof Cover Window that lets you view important information on the screen while still protecting the handset. This is available in the same four colors with the device and priced at around $59 (RM 213). There will be a desktop holder docking the phone and recharging it as well.

The HTC One M9 release date in Malaysia can be near now as HTC Malaysia just teased an image suggesting that the event is set for April 28^th. Probably, “More than One” HTC device can be announced as well.

There are two devices that are reportedly coming along with the HTC One M9, namely HTC One M9 Plus and HTC One E9 Plus. Both phones were introduced in Beijing on April 8^th, weeks after the launch event of HTC One M9.

HTC One M9 Plus Specs

To recap, the HTC One M9 Plus is a slightly bigger device than the HTC One M9. Featuring a 5.2” quad HD (1440×2560) display, this model runs on a 2.2GHz MediaTek MT6795 Octa-core chipset, instead of Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. It also provides 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

One special thing one this model is that it has a physical home button, unlike its One siblings. A fingerprint scanner is embedded in the physical home button located on the front together with a 4MP Ultrapixel front-facing camera. A 20Mp rear camera delivering high-quality pictures sticks to the back of the device.

HTC One E9 Plus Specs

In the meantime, the HTC One E9 Plus is a bigger from the Taiwanese producer. It comes in a 5.5” display with resolution of also 2K (1440×2560) and density of 534ppi, a 20MP rear camera and a 4MP Ultrapixel front camera, just like the HTC One M9 Plus. One E9 Plus is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6795M chipset, 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage. It supports dual nano SIM, LTE, Bluetooth and NFC.

Finally the wait is over. Xiaomi’s CEO and Founder Lei Jun just announced the long awaited Xiaomi Mi Note Pro Launch for May 6th. The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro comes with Snapdragon 810, 4GB RAM, 2K Screen and is one of the most powerful Android devices available.

Xiaomi Mi Note Pro Review Hands On Pics

The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro Release Date in China will be on 6th May. The Mi Note Price will be 3299 Yuan, which translates to 1930 RM in Malaysia. If we include the GST we expect the Xiaomi MI Pro Malaysia Price to be around RM2000-2050. This is quite steep, but judging the specs the phone definitely plays in the top league.

At this point we dont know yet about a Mi Note Pro Malaysia Release Date or Global Launch. Xiaomi would do good to bring it fast to other countries. While the Note Pro is only launching in China now, the Main Competitor Asus Zenfone 2 4GB RAM will be launched in many countries including Malaysia in May.

According to Taiwan’s Economic Daily News, the next generation of Apple iPhone could utilize the 7000 series aluminum alloy used in the entry-level of Apple Watch Sport for their body design.

Next Apple Iphone 6S and 6S Plus Un-Bendable?

Apple is hinting at their previous “Bendgate” and stating quite boldly that their new custom aluminum alloy is reported to be 60% harder than all other current smartphone aluminum. On the website of Apple, the company describes: ” For Apple Watch, we created a new alloy of 7000 Series aluminum that’s 60 percent stronger than standard alloys. Yet it’s very light. Together with the Ion-X glass covering the display, it makes the Sport collection watches up to 30 percent lighter than our stainless steel models. It’s also exceptionally pure, with a beautifully consistent appearance that’s difficult to achieve with traditional aluminum alloys.” 

Stronger aluminum frame protects your device against bending. This aluminum alloy offers one third of stainless steel density so it is lighter. For each case, Apple device is machined, polished and blasted with microscopic zirconia beads for polishing finish.

So far this new aluminum alloy is not the only update on the so-call iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. Some reports said the next iPhone generation would be the first to feature Force Touch Sensor. The new sensor allows to open different functions depending on you light tap or deep press the screen. Talking about the iPhone 6S specs, certainly it will feature new tech from Apple but the iPhone 6S Plus may have more priority.

We yet have to see if the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus can really be un-bendable. Recently, there have been so many rumors about the new products to be launched in the April 15 event. From the new mid-range Xiaomi Mi 4i to the news that flagship Xiaomi Mi Note Pro finally going on sale, but it turns out to be the limited Xiaomi Mi Note Black edition. Especially those of you who are waiting for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, might have been slightl disappointed by this Launch.

Traditionally, Xiaomi only releases the white version of its products before launching other colors alternatives. The white Xiaomi Mi Note has hit the shelves for roughly 3 months and quickly went out stock in the first 3 minutes. A 13MP rear camera with OIS sticks to the back of the device while up front is a 4MP front camera. Also the phone has a 3,000mAh battery with quick charge 2.0 technology.

When is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Release Date ??

The big question though, at least for us is when is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Release Date? We are pretty sure that at 23. 4 Xiaomi will release their first global smartphone the midrange Xiaomi Mi4-i. This means that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 will not be launched in the near future. For us this Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Delayed Launch Strategy is not easy to understand. 

The Xiaomi Redmi Note and 4G has been extremely popular in asia, in fact it has been sold out in a few minutes or less at every Flash Sale. By Now there are quite a few competitors in Malaysia like the Meizu M1 Note or Lenovo K1 Note who can easily beat the original Xiaomi Mi Note. The timing would really be right now to launch an updated version of their old time hotseller and make the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 available for Malaysia fast.

This Xiaomi Mi Note price is a bit higher than the original white one because it will come out of the box with a CD album by famous Chinese artist Zhang Jie.  The Xiaomi Mi Note Price of the Black Edition in Malaysia will be CNY 2499 (RM 1477), which is not so cheap considering the older Snapdragon 801 CPU and only 3GB of RAM.

During the conference yesterday, no one mentioned that the company would launch the Huawei P8 Lite. Rumor said that this P8 Lite would be launch together with the flagship P8, but it was not. At the same time with the conference, on the products page, a few images of the P8 Lite had been leaked (page is now removed).

When the P8 Lite coming out, it will complete the trio of the P products, a new line of the company. Obviously, this is the mid-range alternative of the newly-launched flagship P8. Probably, the company wants to boost sale of the other 2 premium phones, so this mid-range must wait for a while.

Though not being launched at the moment, the Huawei P8 Lite specs were unveiled before. Having the thickness of 7.7mm, the device spots a 5” 720p display poered by a 64-bit 1.2GHz Cortex-A53 octa-core Kirin 620 processor along with 2GB RAM. Talking about the storage, it has 16GB internal storage, which is expandable via up to 128GB microSD.

On the front, there is a 5MP camera for selfie purposes and a 13MP camera on the back to capture higher resolution photos. Not a single clue whether it has OIS or the RGBW imaging is revealed. Dual SIM with dual standby, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and 4G LTE are supported on this lighter version P8 as well. The Huawei P8 Lite will be running Emotion UI 3 built on the Android Lollipop-based.

As far as we concern about the P8 Lite price, considering these specs, the phone is reportedly priced at €270 ( around RM 1055). The Huawei P8 and the P8 Max are scheduled to launch in 30 countries and luckily, Malaysia  is one of the first countries to see them in real. Hopefully, Huawei P8 Lite release date will have the same pattern of launching, including Malaysia.

Yesterday, Huawei had introduced 2 brand new devices: Huawei P8 and Huawei P8 Max.

These 2 news devices are the start of the new P series when Huawei has decided to get rid of the word “Ascend”. The launch event fired up with the introduction of the P8, followed by the P8 Max. The company had made u surprises because only the P8 and the P8 Lite were thought to appear in the conference.

Here comes the specific details of each phone:

Huawei P8

The first thing that catch our eyes is its design. The design focuses on the giving it a premium-feeling with a full-metal unibody distinguishing it from other phones of Huawei. The phone is scratchproof with a nano-coating protecting it from some accidental damages.

The slightly bigger screen 5.2” fHD display takes up 78.3% of the front. Besides a well-designed body, the 6.4mm thickness is another eye-catching feature.

The company introduces a new way of using the touch screen called “Knuckle sense technology”, which means you can use your knuckles to interact with the touchscreen. Also, you just need to crop a part of the screen or double-tap it for a screenshot,

The P8 is powered by a Kirin 935 chipset, an octa-core Cortex A53 processor giving it smooth performance for less power consumption. With a 2680 mAh battery, the company said it could for 2-3 days for normal usage and 1.5 days for heavy usage. Android 5.0 Lollipop comes pre-installed with Emotion UI 3.1 running on top.

The company claimed that P8 is the world’s first smartphone capable of 4 colors RGBW (Red Green Blue White) images, which helps capturing high-quality pics in low light condition. The rear camera is of 13MP with f/2.0 supporting OIS and 1080p video recording. The front-facing camera is of 8MP.

The phone supports dual SIM with dual standby and dual LTE as well. One SIM slot is microSIM sized and the other is nanoSIM sized.

The phone comes in 4 colors: mystic champagne, titanium gray, prestige gold, carbon black. About the Huawei P8 price, the first 2 colors will appear in the 16GB version which cost €499 (RM 1951). The remaining colors are on the 64GB version which will be pricing at €599 (RM 2342).

Huawei P8 Max

Along with the P8, another device called Huawei P8 Max had been introduced last night at the Huawei conference too. As implied in the name, this huge phablet owns an astonishing screen size of 6.8” capable of fHD content display. Though having such a big screen like that, the phone is only 6.8mm of thickness.

Like its sibling, the P8, this model also spots a metal unibody design made of aerospace-grade aluminum. Powered by a 2.2GHz Kirin 930 octa-core 64-bit processor and 3GB RAM, the phone can handle split-screen multi-tasks in landscape mode home screen just like a tablet.

Main camera on the P8 Max are of 13MP with dual LED flash, OIS ability, which is claimed to deliver DSLR-quality pictures. Lying on the back of the device is a 5MP camera taking care of video calls and selfie purposes.

Possessing a large screen and powerful specs, the phone does have a huge battery capacity as well. It is of 4360 mAh. Again, the company asserted that it could last 2-3 days in normal condition and 1.5 days if being used so much. The P8 Max is also a dual SIM and dual standby device. LTE connection on this device can support up to 300Mbps.

The Huawei P8 Max will be launched in 30 countries after the P8. Pricing at €549 is the 16GB version while the 64GB version will cost you €649. Huawei P8 Max price in Malaysia is estimated at around RM 2157 and RM 2560, respectively.

At this price range, the three phones of the new P series are speculated to be strong rivals of iPhone 6, 6 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

After a long time waiting, Oneplus has finally come to Malaysia. On the Oneplus official forum, it is revealed that April 22th is the day of launching.  You can buy the global Oneplus One units on the Oneplus website in Malaysia.

To all Oneplus’ loyal fans, when joining the official forum, you will get a special-forum-only password where you can get an extra token redeem for your place order. After April 22th, there will be another fan conference on April 24^th. Further information will be updated in the next few days.

With such an anticipated smartphone like the Oneplus One, we are sure that you will not forget its highlighted specs. But let’s us remind you a bit. The One features a 5.5″ Full HD 1080p display (1920×1080 pixels) and it is powered by on a quad-Core Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5 GHz with 3GB RAM. While the Oneplus One specs are similar with the OPPO Find 7, which has no quad HD display, the battery does get a slightly larger capacity of 3,100mAh. The back gets a 13MP camera with 6 elements Sony IMX214 sensor and f/2.0 lens while up front is a 5MP front camera taking care of video calls and selfie purposes.  The phone is just 8.9mm of thickness and weighs 162 grams.

Its price is acceptable where the 16GB version in Silk White is priced internationally at $ 299 while the price if the 64GB in Sandstone Black is at $ 349 globally. The Oneplus One price in Malaysia is estimated to be around RM 1100 and RM 1290, respectively, before GST.

Let’s wait until April 22th to see the flagship Oneplus One for real.

As a real magic, our Asus Zenfone 2 appeared even sooner than our expectation. The phone is sold with the 4GB version and 2GB version as well. While we don’t have much difficulty in seeing the Asus Zenfone 2 2GB version now available in many online stores and also offline shops, the Asus Zenfone 2 4GB version is still a mystery. We are highly sure that many of us are waiting this premium variant so bad. While many guys asked us about the Asus Zenfone 2 4GB version, some guys also are confused to choose between 2GB or 4GB. We are sure, without any doubt, to say that: “If you can spend more TWD 3000 (RM 339) to get the 4GB version instead of the 2GB version, let’s do it”. But why?

Here are 5 reasons why we think you should skip the 2GB to pick the 4GB version. Be notice that this is our personal view. So, if you have any wonder, please kindly let us know.

Asus Zenfone 2 Z551ML has 4GB RAM

While the ZE550ML has “only” 2GB of RAM, the ZE551ML features double spec. The more RAM capacity is, the smoother performance you will experience. We don’t intend to “reduce” the 2GB version. The phone is still great, without doubt, but the 4GB version is even more amazing.

If you’re an Asus lover, you all know that one of the biggest weaknesses of Asus Zenfone 5 is a slow multi-tasking. With newly-announced 4GB Zenfone 2, Asus seems trying so much in response to many criticisms against the successful Zenfone 5.

Coming to the processor, the ZE551ML has two variants. The first choice is 4GB version with the Intel Atom Z3580 2.33GHz processor and another one is reporting the Intel Atom Z3560 1.83GHz.

The TWD 8990 (RM 1050) price tag will come with 5.5″FHD display, 4GB of RAM, Intel Atom Z3580 clocked at 2.33GHz processor. While the 2GB 5.5FHD, Intel Atom Z3560 1.8GHz will be priced at TWD 5990 (RM 711). So, are you ready to pay more TWD 3000 (RM 339) for a better Asus Zenfone 2?

This is certainly an important thing for us. The 4GB version with the flashy metal finish body can give us a more sophisticated feeling compared to the generic build on the ZE550ML (you can find the same body in Zenfone 5).

Do you need a sharper display? Definitely YES. While both of them feature a 5.5-inch IPS LCD Corning Gorilla Display, the 4GB ZE551ML packs a higher resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a massive 403 ppi density instead of only 1280 x 720 pixels and roughly 267ppi density in the 2GB ZE550ML.

It is undeniable that with such a large screen of 5.5″, you really need an FHD display. Therefore, you will have much more impressive experience in the 4GB ZE551ML. This is the huge difference between them to create a more powerful, beautiful smartphone and better experience so far.

Asus Zenfone 2 4GB RAM is the only one with NFC

Used properly, NFC (Near-Field Communications) can give you an incredible experience. We have tried it in some places, such as: Car, Home and Offices. By tapping the phone to the tags, the phone will automatically adjusts its settings. If we tap it, at the office, our device goes silent, data goes off, and Wi-Fi connects to the office network. Inside the car, the data and Bluetooth go on while Wi-Fi turns off.

A more powerful 32GB on the high end version of Asus Zenfone 2 

Last but not least, the fifth points we want to focus on is a larger 32GB memory space instead of 16GB. The larger, the better. A larger ROM, firstly, can allow you more space downloading more and more media, video clips, music, etc. I know that feeling when I tried to take more photos, but my phone said that “There is not enough space”. Oh, it’s frustrating, right? Futhermore, 32GB should be more than enough for casual-moderate users.  If you’re a hardcore user though then that 64GB microSD card can come in handy.

In conclusion: We need to repeat once again, all of aforementioned reasons is our personal point of view. But we think it can be a little bit helpful, anyway. So, let’s consider picking a 4GB Asus Zenfone 2. It will be worthy.

We wrote about this news yesterday, Meizu has introduced its most expensive product ever, a set of headphones and smartphone. Yes, it is the headset produced in partnership with the German audio brand, Beyerdynamic.

The Meizu MX4 Pro specs is very powerful along with high-end Hi-fi audio processor, so the company is in need of equipping a professional headset to adapt high requirement of audio performance. Working with a high profile audio brand is the solution for this problem. At first, AKG, the Austrian brand, is thought to be the partner of Meizu but it turns out to be Beyerdynamic, the German audio specialists to handle the issue.

Limited edition Beyerdynamic MX4 Pro

Rather than selling the gold color headset separately as an accessory, the company decided to pack it with the flagship Meizu MX4 Pro in limited edition. Together, this whole set will cost you CNY 3699 (RM 2213). With this price, you will possess a headset with Beyerdynamic branding and a Meizu MX4 Pro 32GB version.

This limited edition Beyerdynamic MX4 Pro release date is set on April 20^th. There is no clue that the company will sell the headset alone but we can pre-order this set from now.
