Tomorrow is a big day for Samsung fans as well as those who are caring about their new flagship Samsung Galaxy Note 5! Before we see it in person, let’s do a round-up of 5 things we want from Galaxy Note 5 at launch date!

1. MicroSD Card for more space of private things

In the past few weeks, there has been a heated debate around the Galaxy Note 5 expandable storage. We wondered if  the device has a microSD card slot or not. Some leaks said that the whole machine would be designed with a metal unibody and a non-removable rear panel, which means it is hard to set a slot for the microSD card. However, not long after that, we received another piece of news from Taiwan telling us there would be an extra microSD card slot. If that is the case, phones users will have more space to store their favorite pictures, music, movies, etc.

2. Removable and big battery

On the other hand, as we mentioned, if the back panel is not able to be removed, the battery is likely not to be movable, either. That’s not what the Samsung Galaxy Note series is famous for. It is known to have a removable, big cell to meet the needs of users. So far, we have heard the rumor that Note 5 will pack a 3,000mAh batt. Yet, is it enough for the phone equipped with many top specs?

We really hope that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will sport an expandable storage and a huge battery!

3. Beautiful dress – I mean the design!

This is obvious that Samsung has made a lot of improvement in the design. They gradually turned from the plastic cover to the metal one. Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge are so pretty, that we think that Note 5 will be even more beautiful! Well, besides the alloy coat, what else do you want Note 5 to have for its dress?

4. Additional version of Samsung Galaxy Note 5

Actually, the possibility for this to happen is high. We used to have the duo of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Samsung Galaxy Note edge. Therefore, maybe Samsung will do it again, bringing us another duo of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Note 5 edge, or who knows, there could be a Note 5 Mini version this time. Consumers will have more options, depending on their own favorite.

5. Better combo of camera

The last one is based on our own opinion. Since Note 5 is a big phablet with a great display, we want to have a good combo of camera. Not only the rear but also the front shooter will be capable of high pixels, enabling us to capture wonderful photos wherever we are. If you remember, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 sports a 16MP main plus an only 3.7MP selfie snapper. They are good enough, but still can be improved, right?!

Besides introducing a new smartphone called Huawei Mate 7 Plus, another version of Mate 7, at IFA 2015, it is likely that Huawei will be also releasing a new device with curved screen to draw more attention from people this year.

There has been just a short period of time before IFA 2015 happens in Berlin. And that can be the main reason why many leaks of new machine from well-known brands have been spreading all over the internet. Huawei is not an exception. The latest one is related to a phone whose screen is curved as we can see in the picture. However, some people consider that the image’s authenticity should be doubted while some others think that it is just the rear of the handset.

According to another leak, this unknown Huawei phone is codes as 007. Apart from that, there is no word made for its specs. Anyhow, by the above pic, we guess that the process of making is happening and coming to the last stages. Hopefully, Huawei will announce some information in the next few weeks.

ZenPad in Malaysia

The Asus Zenpad tablets have been recently unveiled at Computex 2015 in Taiwan. It promises that the tablets will on the way to be available in Malaysia market in this early July 2015. According to the Asus Malaysia fanpage on facebook, the company told us to “stay tuned for the updates coming July”. The devices will be available in three color options Black, White and Gold.

Overall, it said to first announce the ZenPad 8.0 as well as the ZenPad S 8.0. Afterwards, Asus company plans to bring out the cheaper product lines which are the ZenPad C 7.0 and ZenPad 10.

Let’s have a look over the ZenPad specs. The ZenPad 8.0 will have the 8-inch 1280 x 800 resolution screen. It will run the Intel Atom X3 processor, and equipped with 1GB / 2GB of RAM. And the S 8.0 tablet version also comes with the Z-Styluz that works quite similar to the S-Pen from Samsung Note series.

There are some informations announced that ASUS Malaysia has brought out the ZenPad C 7.0 in quite since the earlier last week, ZenPad price in Malaysia may cost RM499. The ZenPad C7.0 Specs is said to have better than the FonePad 7 with 2GB of RAM.

It obtains 68,345 Antutu points, a bit lower than the Note 5, but still a high score compared with other phones, including its siblings Samsung Galaxy S6 (top of the the rankings with 67,520 points) and Samsung Galaxy S6 edge (63,910 points).

Well, due to being a mid-range device, it seems like A8 did not get a high score on Antutu benchmark. Specifically, it was just able to achieve 29,184 points with a 5.7″ FHD screen, a Snapdragon 615 chip and 2GB RAM. However, in general, we cannot deny that it is a pretty good number among handsets in its kind.

The latest AnTuTu scores belong to Google Nexus 5 (2015). It was able to reach to the highest points with 85,350. It is also said that the device getting tested is an LG-made nexus. Besides, we will also have a Huawei- made Nexus for the end of 2015. However, there has been no info related to the Huawei Nexus Antutu scores recently.

We guess that the main thing that helps LG Nexus get such a high score is the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with the 3.0GHz speed, much faster than other Snapdragon ones. For other LG Nexus (2015) specs, you can take a look at the following summary:

Perhaps because its Kirin 935 processor is not as strong as Snapdragon 810 or Exynos 7420 chip. Yet, it does not mean that Hisilicon Kirin 935 is a bad processor and 53,045 is a bad score. Huawei Honor 7 is still a flagship phone highly evaluated!

OnePlus 2 For RM1,899

This is really the great news for who can’t wait for the releasing of the OnePlus 2. Recently, the device is now available in Malaysia through the site of SatuGadgetDotCom. You can find the 64GB version for RM1,899 with the 2 years warranty.

The Oneplus 2 16GB version is currently sold at the official price aroudn $329, Oneplus 2  price in Malaysia approximate RM1,306. With the 64GB version the official price costs $389, approximate RM1,545. So, we can get the OnePlus 2 in Malaysia for paying additional RM354, that’s not a very high price in recent market though.

OnePlus 2 Specs

Talking about the OnePlus 2 Specs, it will come with the 5.5-inch Full HD, along with the improvement of IPS display. The device runs the Qualcomm octa-core Snapdragon 810 version 2.1 processor.

It equipped with 4GB of LD-DDR4 RAM, and 3,300 battery capacity to endure your normal daily usage. It also has the convenient reversible USB Type C port for easy charging. However, this device will not support the microSD expansion.

Available Dates

The OnePlus 2 was said to be released soon in Malaysia but there still no specific dates. According to the global announcement, the OnePlus 2 handset will be available in some current market from the date of August 11th. The other regions in South East Asia will have to wait until the Q4 of 2015.

Recently, many Meizu products have been introduced such as Meizu M2 Note, Meizu MX5, and Meizu M2 equipped with updated features of the time. So, if we have the new Xiaomi OS this month (Xiaomi MIUI 7), we are likely to welcome the new Meizu OS next month (Meizu Flyme 5). Though, no confirmation of the Meizu Flyme launch date has been made. Hopefully, Meizu company will announce that in the next days.

Nokia is hiring software experts, testing new products and seeking sales partners as it plots its return to the mobile phone and consumer tech arena it abandoned with the sale of its handset business.
Once the world’s biggest maker of mobile phones, the Finnish firm was wrong footed by the rise of smartphones and eclipsed by Apple and Samsung. It sold its handset business to Microsoft  in late 2013 and has since focused squarely on making telecoms network equipment.
[adslayout-display]Though Nokia sold their mobile division to the Redmond-based company, it seems like nothing can stop them to come back to the mobile market next year. Once the non-compete deal between Microsoft and Nokia ends, they will return to producing phones, but perhaps in co-operation with with someone else.

Right now, Nokia is planning for a brand licensing model of their own and putting much effort in finding human resources for making the upcoming machine. We say this because not long ago, Nokia was caught advertising many new jobs on LinkedIn network. Some of the positions are related to product development, while some of other are for engineers focusing on Android. This makes us think that Nokia will enter the Android smartphone field in the future.

On the other hand, we can see that Nokia wants to experiment something new besides regaining  the success they used to have. One example is Nokia N1, which is an Foxconn-made tablet coming with good specs and design. Furthermore, we all know that it is the very first device to sport a USB Type-C port, a feature that most smartphone brands are intending to equip their handsets with. Despite the limited markets for Nokia N1, it is still a great way to step into this new business area. Apart from the Nokia N1, their new projects include Z Launcher and Virtual Reality camera.

Z Launcher is a new interface for all Android phones of Nokia. Currently, it has just been released with a beta version. It is really easy to use ZLaunch. It has a quickly searching function that you can use only one finger to launch the program or content you need.

As for the Nokia VR camera, actually it is named Nokia OZO and described as “the first commercially available virtual reality (VR) camera designed and built for professional content creators and the first in a planned portfolio of digital media solutions from Nokia Technologies, the company’s advanced technology and licensing business.” With this camera, you can capture stereoscopic 3D video in 360-degree panoramas. Brand-licensing models are not new in the industry; European companies like Philips and Alcatel have made money from consumer electronics by licensing out their brand after capitulating to Asian competitors more than a decade ago.
But given the crop of newcomers like China’s Xiaomi and India’s Micromax, it may not be possible for Nokia to reproduce even the minor successes that Philips and Alcatel were able to achieve by renting out their brand.
With advances in contract manufacturing and standardization of software, components and features like touch-screens, it is also easier than ever for companies to outsource everything to produce lookalike phones.
The strength of the Nokia brand – crucial to the success of such licensing deals – is also open to debate.
The company says its brand is recognized by four billion people. But, after being consistently ranked as one of the world’s top-five brands in the decade up to 2009 according to market researcher Interbrand, it has since nose-dived and now looks set to disappear from top 100 lists.
So, in conclusion, we are glad that Nokia is taking many moves to prepare for their return in 2016 by starting hiring many talents for the company and thinking of new interesting things. Hope a new Nokia machine will be coming soon!
