Besides the flagship Gionee Elife E8, Gionee company also made an official announcement for the debut of Gionee Marathon M5. Yes, that’s the phone with mighty 6,020mAh dual battery.

As in the previous post, we mentioned that the new Gionee smartphone will feature a dual battery and each of the dual batt is capable of 3,010mAh. Thanks to this combination, it powers the device with a totally huge capacity of 6,020mAh. Moreover, according to Gionee, the incredible battery together with power management software built in M5 will allow it to last for 4 days, even with heavy use.

Other than that, the manufacturer also adds support for fast charging and dual charging chips. As a result, both batteries are able to be charged safely simultaneously. More interestingly, despite owning 2 cells, Gionee M5 is still slim at 8.5mm.

Other specs include a 5.5-inch HD screen, a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 4G LTE, 2GB RAM and 16GB of storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card). As for the camera, there are a 13MP rear cam and a 5MP front-facing snapper. The whole phone will be running on Gionee’s Amigo OS on top of Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The most important point in today post is that this amazing handset will be available globally on June 25, 2015 with Gionee Marathon M5 price of 2,299 Yuan, which means Gionee Marathon M5 price in Malaysia can be around RM1,380.
