Lenovo ZUK Z2: Snapdragon 820 and unique rotating camera
Lenovo-owned ZUK company launched their ZUK Z1 smartphone earlier this year and it turned out to be a good step for them to enter the mobile market. As a result, releasing a successor to the Z1 – Lenovo ZUK 2 – is what we know they will do.
Lenovo ZUK Z2: Another successful device is on the way?
Recently, the company’s CEO has confirmed that they would be launching ZUK Z2 next year. Though, the Lenovo ZUK Z2 release date has not been claimed yet. Of course, you would be curious about how it may look. So, Lenovo ZUK Z2 design may be similar to its predecessor but there is a thing that Z1 cannot do which is allowing you to rotating the phone’s top side. WOW, that’s so “weird” but in an interesting way, right?!
Unfortunately, the company has not officially announced the Lenovo ZUK Z2 specs yet. Maybe they want to give us a surprising present at the beginning of 2016. New year – new phone – new feature. What could be better than that? Anyhow, we can predict it can own some top specs like 64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB), a metal frame with 2.5D glass for its front and back, a Snapdragon 820 chip, a 3,000mAh or bigger battery and a 5.5-inch Full HD or 2K screen.
Well, the above pictures have helped describe the mechanism of the Z2 more accurately. Specifically, this ZUK’s second smartphone will sport a unique fully-rotating top, which means, yes, the handset will only have one camera to do everything you want. Despite not knowing its resolution, we’re quite sure your selfies will be absolutely beautiful.
Lenovo ZUK Z2 price and availability
It is not hard to figure out that the device is going to be available in China first and the ZUK Z2 launch date is some day in early 2016. As for the price, we guess it will be ranging from $300 to $400 since Lenovo Zuk Z1 price is 1799 Yuan ($285) with lower-end hardware. Then, what do you think about ZUK Z2?
Xiaomi Mi Pad 2: 7.9″ 2K screen, 6,190mAh cell and over 85K Antutu score
A few days ago, Xiaomi officially launched their new products: Redmi Note 3 and Mi Pad 2. We know a lot about the phablet, but how about the tablet? We would say it is very affordable and powerful, especially its Antutu score: over 85K.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 specs: Even better than the Galaxy Note 5?
First, let’s talk about Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 design. As you know, this is the successor to Xiaomi Mi Pad and both of them seem to be inspired by Apple iPads in terms of look. However, the original Mi Pad has a colorful plastic casing while the newer has an all-alloy construction which is much more similar to Apple iPad mini. Despite being mad of metal, the Mi Pad 2 is lighter and thinner than the first-generation, which is considered as a plus for Xiaomi tablet this time.
Spec-wise, Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 owns a 7.9-inch display with 2.048×1.536 pixels and 326ppi. The whole machine is powered by an Intel Atom X5-Z8500 quad-core 2.24GHz chip paired with 2GB of RAM and 16/64GB ROM. As for the camera, the main one is capable of 8 megapixels and the wide-angle selfie snapper is of 5 megapixels. In addition, you will find a huge 6,190mAh battery to run the tablet, which also means you can have a whopping 648.8 hours of standby time. Amazing?
Interestingly, recently, Mi Pad 2 has been spotted on Antutu benchmark, scoring up to 85,101 points. The score is actually more than that of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 in spite of sporting only 2GB RAM. Anyhow, we can understand since it has high display resolution, big batt and fast processor speed.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 price and availability
You have 2 choices: a Mi Pad running Windows 10 or one running Android OS. Yet, note that the Android ver with 16GB ROM is priced at $156 and the 64GB ver (either Android or Windows 10 operating system) is at $203. Well, what do you feel about those price tags?

However, it cannot stop the Note 3 from attracting people. Sporting a full aluminum unibody design with and curved edges, Redmi Note 3 back cannot get pulled apart. Moreover, the phone’s thickness measures 8.65 mm, which is pretty slim though the material and battery have been changed.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 alternatives for $200: 3GB RAM, 4G LTE, 4200 mAH and more
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, with 5 reasons we mentioned before, is definitely one of the best smartphones for its price group – USD 200 and below. However, if you try to look carefully, there are a few beasts that can actually be a good alternative…
But first, let me wrap up about Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 specs here to make it easier for you to compare and contrast. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 comes with: 5.5” display, 2/3GB RAM with 16/32GB ROM respectively, strong Helio X10 chip set, a big 4,000 mAH battery and beautiful 13MP/5MP selfie cameras. Here are 4 competitive rivals to the Redmi Note 3:
1. Elephone M2: $170
Elephone is not a strange name for us anymore. Costing around $170, the Elephone M2 is a pretty qualified smartphone with the exact same screen size and camera sensors with Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. The handset also come in 3GB RAM, which is strong enough for most users. However, the Elephone M2 runs on MediaTek MT6753 chip set instead of Helio X10 and its battery is quite smaller than that Note 3 battery: 2,600 mAH vs 4,000 mAH.
2. XOLO BLACK 1X: $150
The next device we want to introduce to you is not very familiar to many of us: XOLO Black 1X. This Chinese smartphone also share many features in common with the Note 3: screen size, 3GB RAM, camera sensors. Like the Elephone M2, this XOLO Black X1 differs in terms of chip set (a MediaTek MTK 6753) and a smaller battery: 2,400 mAH vs 4,000 mAH. The handset costs a humble price tag of $150.
3. iBerry Auxus Prime P8000: USD 200
So far, this iBerry smartphone is the one that share most specs in common with Redmi Note 3. The iBerry Auxus Prime P8000 full specs include: 5.5 inch display, 3GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 13MP/5MP cameras and 4160 mAH battery! However, this iBerry P8000 smartphone is slightly more expensive than our beast: costing USD 200 in comparison with USD 170 price tag.
4. Coolpad Dazen Note 3: USD 150
With $20 cheaper than the Redmi Note 3, this Coolpad Dazen Note 3 offer very similar specs and a pretty nice design. The Coolpad Note 3 is a dual SIM smartphone which is also capable of 4G LTE to some networks in India. Some Note 3 specs from Coolpad include: a 5.5-inch display, 3GB RAM, a MediaTek 6753 processor, 16GB internal storage that can be expandable up to 64GB with an extra micro SD card.
In conclusion, I am not here to deny that Redmi Note 3 by Xiaomi is a cool beast. However, if you want to try other options with the same price group, or simply looking for ideas about what such money can buy, these 4 are pretty good choices for you.

Lenovo Vibe X3 is the successor to Lenovo Vibe X2 launched last year, and it is also a Motorola-designed Lenovo smartphone. As a result, there have been some significant changes or we can say the new phablet takes on a totally different design. Specifically, while the company chose a flat rectangular three-layer design with rounded edges for the Vibe 2, they have opted for a curvier and more “palm-friendly” style for the Vibe X3 this time. However, some people still prefer the unique look of the X2. How about you?
Spec-wise, Lenovo Vibe X3 uses a 5.5-inch Full HD screen, a Snapdragon 808 hexa-core chip, a dual SIM, 3GB RAM and 32/64GB ROM (expandable up to 128GB). Here are some of its camera samples:
Well, in general, the Lenovo Vibe X3 specs are powerful and the phone is beautiful. It can easily satisfy most consumers, but the last issue is the price tag. If that is a super affordable one, the X3 is definitely a great choice. Let’s check the next part to see if things happen that way!

So, the M2’s specifications are fantastic, but how its design? Coming along with a metal unibody, a glossy back finish, and aluminum panels and frame going around, M2 looks absolutely premium. On the top and bottom of the rear surface, the Elephone M2 features black glass panels. However, many have said that the design is very similar to Huawei Nexus 6P launched this year. Yet, how about you? Do you think so?
Well, those are the main things about Elephone M2 we want to introduce to you today. We cannot deny that this device is pretty and strong at the same time and you will find it more impressive once knowing its price tag. Now, let’s check the next part for more information!
