2015 is finally over. And yes, so is the deal between Nokia and Microsoft. They are coming back as a whole brand soon. And Nokia fans around the world can be more excited finding a leaked image of the alleged all-metal Nokia smartphone found on a reputed Chinese website – Weibo.
Nokia smartphone 2016: leaking with real image
Rumors about Nokia comeback in 2016 has been spreading for several months now. And the most current statement by Nokia CEO Rajeev Suri just made it even more official. On the very first days of 2016, an alleged image spotted on Weibo – a reputed Chinese website, is making Nokia fans all over the world very excited. Now that the New year is already here, and that the big day is coming close, it is natural and predictable that our tech forums will soon be full of Nokia news.
Beside this leaking image on Weibo, there is no other additional information. This means we can not say which model is this phone as well as the specs it is going to feature. However, based on the picture only, we can tell the this latest Nokia smartphone is all metal and measure around 5.0 to 5.5 inch display. Also, if you look closely, you can see the typical Nokia brand on the back of the device, making it a bit more official.
From what we know about Nokia comeback 2016 up till now, it is very possible that the image we see here is the long-expecting Nokia C1, which were earlier said to be powered by both Android and Windows OS. Also, recent sources are even now hinting not one, but three brand new Nokia smartphones already being developed by Nokia, and likely to hit the shelf soon this year.
Nokia 2016: developing 3 smartphones for grand comeback
We have heard a lot about Nokia comeback 2016, but I bet not many of you expected the company with be working on all 3 smartphones at the same time. From what we know, the Legend will use pretty much the same method when they produced Nokia N1 tablet earlier – Nokia design and production by a third-party manufacturer, possibly Foxconn.

Flagship smartphones 2016 comparison: Galaxy S7 VS Huawei P9 VS HTC One M10
Three flagship smartphones Samsung Galaxy S7, Huawei P9 and HTC One M10 will be released in 2016. They are all powerful and beautiful in their own way. But, let’s check what they’ve got to compete with each other!
Galaxy S7 VS Huawei P9 VS HTC One M10: Hot Battle of Flagship smartphones 2016
Firstly, let’s talk about display. Those three smartphones are expected to come with 5.2-inch Quad HD screens. Though 2K is not the highest resolution now, we guess it is great enough for a smartphone with that size, and you still get a bright, sharp screen with vivid colors. Besides, each of them will be protected by Gorilla Glass 4 to minimize scratching and covered by a slim metal body, bringing a premium feeling when you hold them.
Next, we have processor and RAM capacity. No doubt they will be powered by super strong and new chips nowadays. Yet, we should note that HTC One M10 and a variant of Samsung Galaxy S7 will deploy Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset while Huawei P9 will just be loyal to their own processor HiSilicon Kirin 950 and it will even pack up to 6GB RAM, making this Huawei’s product the best device here. Though, HTC One M10 and Samsung Galaxy S7 with 4GB RAM are also considered beasts when compared to many other current handsets on the market now.
Last but not least, we would like to look at their cameras and batteries. According to some news sources, Huawei P9 specs will include a dual rear camera with a main one still capable of 13 megapixels. As for Galaxy S7, there will be a 20MP primary shooter with BRITECELL sensor to assist in taking photos. And for HTC One M10, a 27MP camera with the best autofocus technology will be in charge. Well, each of the machines has their own special main snapper, and we think a camera comparison after they have already been launched will be more useful in choosing the winner. Don’t you think?
Galaxy S7 VS Huawei P9 VS HTC One M10: Price and availability
As we mentioned, those will be introduced this year but it is likely that Samsung Galaxy S7 launch date will be sooner, then Huawei P9 and finally HTC One M10. Nonetheless, let’s wait a bit more for the companies’ confirmation. In terms of cost, we’re pretty sure their prices will range from $600 to $800, which can be understood easily as they sport a lot of top specs for smartphones at the moment. Well, what are your feelings and opinions? Share with us!
Motorola is now a … history!!!
Motorola is being erased. You will no longer see “Motorola” on any smartphone from now on because it has been changed into…
Motorola was replaced!
When we first scanned through the titles of some articles about the news, we thought they meant that Motorola would officially stop making phones in 2016. But, once carefully reading the information, we were kind of relieved. In fact, Motorola’s name will be replaced by another one related to Lenovo. As you know, Lenovo bought the Motorola phone business from Google in 2014 and now is phasing out the Motorola brand.
CNET was the first source to report Lenovo’s decision. Accordingly, Lenovo will still use “Motorola Mobility” for their phone division, but the branding of their smartphones as well as wearable devices will be “Moto” and “Vibe” only. Specifically, Motorola handsets will be named “Moto by Lenovo”, still a top-line brand of Lenovo and led by Rick Osterloh, who took on leadership of Motorola Mobility in April, 2014.
Furthermore, according to the report, Lenovo will put a blue Lenovo logo along with an “M” logo of Motorola on their devices in future. So, for those who love Motorola products, you do not have to worry much since this is just a change in the way we call the phones while other things are remained.
In the end, “Moto by Lenovo” will work better?
Motorola is credited as the first manufacturer to produce a mobile phone and about a decade ago, they were said to be a leading brand in the world. However, when smartphones were invented and many new smartphone makers were born with more modern designs and technologies, it seemed hard for Motorola to keep up and finally end up splitting into companies. Their mobile phone business was acquired by Google in 2012, then Google sold it to Lenovo two years later. Hopefully, this time, “Moto by Lenovo” will work better!

Nokia 1008 – unique twisting camera
This latest smartphone we saw with Nokia brand on it, is called the Nokia Lumia 1008, or Nokia Catwalk, with a very catchy design and unique camera module. Nokia 1008 camera sports a 38MP Pureview sensor. What makes it special is that, this camera is a twisting barrel one that can go 360 degree and allow photos captured under any angle to have the same high quality. To make it even more interesting, the phone body is still kept very slim and elegant despite the significant camera module.
Talking about Nokia 1008 specs, the phone will run on Windows 8 Blue OS, though we really expect it will have another Android variant to meet up with public demand. There will be a 2GB RAM, 32GB ROM and Snapdragon 600 to power the device. Nokia 1008 display features a handy 4.5 Puremotion HD+ and will comes in a full alloy body to give it a premium feel on your hand. One more special thing is that, Nokia 1008 will have Double LED flash, one of which used as light notification.
Nokia 1008 is designed by Edgar Mkrtchyan from My Deam Nokia network. He has also equipped his render phone with wireless charging and a back cover that is subjected to multiple designs simply customized by 3D printer. An interesting addition are light notification LEDs. Although Nokia 1008, or Nokia Catwalk is for now a concept design, we really hope this lovely handset will be picked and produced by the legend.
Nokia 1008 – elegant at first sight, premium till the last
Elegant in design, premium with the choice of top specs and an offer of unique features are exactly all that make Nokia 1008 – or Nokia Catwalk smartphone a very desirable one for many users. If you like this one, let’s hope it will come real some time soon. And I just can’t wait for Nokia Comeback later this year.

Some pictures of the phone as well some information related to its hardware have also been shown. It is a beast, indeed.
HTC One M10 XL is designed by a well-known designer Hasan Kaymak. Looking at the pics, the handset looks still pretty similar to most HTC products, but a bit more interesting with slim bezels and a place to store a stylus, which reminds us of Samsung Galaxy Note 5. We guess this can be considered as a Note version of HTC One M10, and the screen is likely to measure 5.7 inches with Quad HD resolution.
Other HTC One M10 XL specs will probably contain a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of ROM (expandable up to 200GB), Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and a huge 4,000mAh battery. Next gen Wi-Fi will kill Bluetooth
A new Wi-Fi standard called Halow was introduced at CES 2016 not long ago, promising a more effective connection in the future…
Wi-Fi Halow to replace Bluetooth
At CES 2016, many modern products as well as technologies were announced and the Wi-Fi Alliance (a nonprofit international association that “promotes Wi-Fi technology and certifies Wi-Fi products if they conform to certain standards of interoperability”) made most people excited due to what they claimed. Accordingly, a new type of Wi-Fi was invented to work on low-power devices. It also will be able to travel further and better even through walls and waste less energy.
As we mentioned, its name is Wi-Fi HaLow, considered as an extension of the upcoming 802.11ah standard. In addition, the Wi-Fi Alliance added that they wanted to begin certifying HaLow products in 2018, yet the first one might be shipped earlier. One special thing we heard is that this Wi-Fi tech is likely to “kill” Bluetooth. As we understand, future devices will probably use Wi-Fi instead of Bluetooth to connect with others.
Additionally, HaLow is said to “end up” inside of fitness trackers, home sensors, security cameras, and an assortment of other single-purpose home gadgets. Cameras with Wi-Fi may be not something strange but wearables and sensors with Wi-Fi can be new and not easy at all.
Wi-Fi Halow’s possible limitation
The possible downside of the Wi-Fi Halow technology is that it is not going to be good at transferring data as fast as Wi-Fi for browsing the web. In fact, it is only for transferring small bits of data on infrequent occasions. Though the device manufacturers can customize HaLow to some extent to get their quicker transfers, its battery life will be affected.

Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge update: waterproof and bigger battery
We are in the beginning of 2016, which means many flagship handsets are coming, including Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. Some important changes and features will be applied. Check it put now!
Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge will be more modern and convenient!
Samsung used to disappoint consumers a bit since they did not equip their flagship smartphones Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 edge, Note 5, S6 edge+ with microSD card slots. It somehow limited people’s joy when they wanted to store a lot of things in the phone but the memory ran out so quickly. Therefore, we guess Samsung will try to gain users’ trust again by bringing the famous microSD card back to their next devices – Samsung Galaxy S7 and its variants.
Recently, a source has released some new and kind of reliable information about the company’s plans for the duo. Accordingly, it’s likely that the S7 and S7 edge will not only boast expandable ROM up to 200GB, but also water and dust resistant feature (IP67). And furthermore, we’ve got some more details regarding their screen sizes: S7 with 5.1 inches and S7 edge with 5.5 inches. Besides, hopefully both of them they can all get 2K resolution with Super AMOLED displays.
Spec-wise, each of these Samsung products will sport the home-brew Exynos 8890 or Snapdragon 820 chip and probably pack 4GB of RAM, 32/64GB of ROM, a 3,000mAh battery for the S7 and a 3,600mAh one for the S7 edge, a 12MP rear and a 5MP front camera. Though, please note that those specs are unofficially confirmed by the manufacturer. So, let’s wait and see!
Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge prices and availability
As many sources have claimed, Samsung will launch their premium high-end machines at the 2016 Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona in February, 2016. Then, the phones may be going on sale in the next month or at least in early 2016. As for the cost, we predict that Samsung Galaxy S7 price as well Galaxy S7 edge price can range from $600 to $700. Do you agree?
