Design and specifications of the World’s first SD820 smartphone

A few hours after Qualcomm announced that LeTV Le Max Pro would be the first smartphone in the world to sport their new Snapdragon 820 chip, LeTV official introduced their flagship and released detailed information and images about its hardware and design. Looking at the pics, we can see the new Max Pro is not very different from other LeTV products much. Overall, this is a beautiful device, but maybe not special enough to wow us. Do you agree?

Nonetheless, we bet the inside power can do it. Spec-wise, Le Max Pro is equipped with many top features for smartphones at the moment. First of all, we have to mention the strong Snapdragon 820 processor running the whole machine and providing Snapdragon Sense ID (the ultrasonic based fingerprint biometric authentication technology), which is more reliable and secure than current capacitive-based fingerprint technologies.

Furthermore, other LeTV Le Max Pro specs also include Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 enabling the phone to reach 60% in 30 min., a fingerprint scanner placed on the back, super-fast LTE, and super-fast multi-band WiFi 802.11ad wireless connectivity. However, apart from those features, no word has been made for others such as display, camera, etc.

LeTV Le Max Pro price and availability

So far, the company has not confirmed anything about the official LeTV Le Max Pro release date or LeTV Le Max Pro price, but we’re pretty sure it just would be around the H1 of 2016 and it would range from $550 to $650. What do you think? Is is a reasonable cost for such a beast? Share with us your ideal price tag for the Pro.

Lenovo Vibe K4 Note: 3GB RAM, 5.5-inch FHD and…

Before going into details of its design, specs and price, we need to make it clear that the phone’s officially named Lenovo Vibe K4 Note and it was launched in India. Design-wise, once again we see the Motorola style here, pretty similar to the Lenovo Vibe X3 or some recent Vibe members. However, in fact, it looks more interesting than K3 Note, right? Specifically, the handset deploys a metal body, a fingerprint scanner on the back and a dual speaker designed by Dolby Atmos on the front.

Spec-wise, Lenovo Vibe K4 Note owns a 5.5-inch Full HD screen, a 1.3GHz octa-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 chip, Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, a dual SIM, and 4G LTE connectivity. In addition, the whole device is powered by 3GB DDR3 RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB) and a 3,300mAh battery. As for camera, the main one is capable of 13 megapixels with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, f/2.2 plus ISOCELL sensor, and the secondary shooter is 5 megapixels.

Like Lenovo K3 Note, the K4 Note also receives much support from Dolby Atmos technology and gives great audio experience with the TheatreMax tech (which can convert regular content to its immersive VR counterpart). For color option, we are just informed that the K4 Note will be available in a Tuxedo Black.

Lenovo Vibe K4 Note price and availability

At the moment, Lenovo K4 Vibe has just been announced in India and will go on sale there, too, at Rs. 11,999 (or $180) to be specific. Xiaomi Redmi 3 VS Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite

In terms of Xiaomi Redmi 3 specs, it sports 2GB of RAM, 16GB of ROM, a 5.0-inch Full HD display, and an octa-core Snapdragon 617 chipset. Xiaomi also gives this budget flagship a beautiful pair of camera: a 13MP on the back and a 5MP on the front surface. Moreover, it will imitate its sibling Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 to pack an up to 4,000mAh battery, enabling you ot go 3 days on normal use without charging.

As for Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite specs, there are the same 2GB of RAM, 16GB of ROM, a 5.0-inch Full HD screen, but an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor. About the camera, Lenovo equips their device with a combo of a 13MP rear and an 8MP front-facing shooter. Well, obviously the S1 Lite is better than the Redmi 3 when it comes to selfie battle, right?! But, how about battery? Unfortunately, the S1 Lite has to give the crown to the Xiaomi’s product since it only owns a 2,700mAh cell.

XiaomiRedmiGPlusTeaser-1

In general, both Redmi 3 and Vibe S1 Lite are good mid-rangers in the mobile market now. Each of them has its own strengths and weaknesses, like Xiaomi Redmi 3 boasts a fantastic battery life and Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite can be proud of its selfie capability. So, we guess prices can be the decisive factor to help pick out the winner. Check out the next part for more info!

lenovo

Lenovo A7010: 5.5-inch Full HD, 4G LTE, 3,3000mAh …

As you know, Lenovo has a Lenovo A7000 series with the original A7000 and A7000 Plus having been able to attract many people. Therefore, their new model A7010’s expected to do the same. Looking at the pictures, we notice the A7010 appearance is inspired by Motorola style, which is not very strange as some months ago, Lenovo began merging their Mobile Business Group (MBG) into Motorola Mobility and the latter started designing and building phones for their parent company.

Spec-wise, Lenovo A7010 is run by a MediaTek MT6753 1.3GHz chip, Mali-T720MP3 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB). In addition, Lenovo A7010 specs also contain a 5.5-inch Full HD display, a set of 13MP rear and 5MP front-facing camera, Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, a dual SIM, 4G LTE Cat 4, a fingerprint scanner placed on the back and a 3,300mAh battery.

Those are some live images of Lenovo A7010 in real life. In general, we think it is a bit stronger and prettier than its predecessors in terms of specs and design. How about its price? This is also an important factor we need to know in order to get a more objective look about the device. Check out the next part for more information.

Lenovo A7010 price and availability

Huawei Mate 8 VS Lenovo Vibe X3: Premium flagship smartphone battle

They are all new and hot items of their manufacturers at the moment. So, let’s see how they can compete with each other! This is like a great premium flagship smartphone battle to start 2016! Which one will be the winner?

x3

Huawei Mate 8 VS Lenovo Vibe X3: Huawei or Lenovo will win?

Firstly, we would like to take a look at their specs. In general they belong to high-end smartphone category due to boasting many strong, fantastic features. Talking about similarities, we recognize that each phone has 3GB RAM (though the Mate 8 also offers 4GB RAM option), an 8MP selfie camera, a microSD card slot to expand internal storage up to 128GB, a fingerprint scanner and fast charging tech. Well, those are some specifications they have in common. How about differences?

Design-wise, it is easy to see Huawei Mate 8 is slimmer than Lenovo Vibe X3 and their appearances also cannot be mistaken. Looking at the X3, we are immediately impressed by its dual-front-speaker set up and curved top and bottom edges. Meanwhile, all of the Mate 8’s edges are not curved at all. So, if you only base on the design, you can choose the one you think is more beautiful. If not, perhaps the spec and price comparison can help you decide.

huawei-mate-8-3

First of all, no doubt the Mate 8 with a 6.0-inch Full HD screen is bigger than its rival, whose display measures 5.5 inches with Full HD resolution. In terms of processor, the Huawei’s product is run by the “company-made” chip HiSilicon Kirin 950, which is more powerful than the Vibe X3’s Snapdragon 808 to be honest. Furthermore, the Mate 8 is even equipped with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS right out of the box, which definitely has more advantages than the X3’s Android 5.1 Lollipop. However, the Lenovo Vibe X3 also has its own weapons to beat the Huawei Mate 8. Though the X3 just owns a 3,600mAh battery, smaller than the 8’s 4,000mAh cell, the handset can be charged faster: “60% in 30 min” VS “37% in 30 min”. Moreover, it packs an awesome 21MP rear shooter, Dolby Atmos sound tech and Hi-Fi audio while Mate 8 sports a 16MP cam and no special technology to support its sound quality.

Huawei Mate 8 VS Lenovo Vibe X3: Price and availability

Both Huawei Mate 8 and Lenovo Vibe X3 were announced in November 2015, but the international version of the Mate 8 was just introduced at CES 2016 with no differences compared to the Chinese ver. Accordingly, Huawei Mate 8 price is about $645 for 3GB RAM/32GB ROM version. This is a bit more expensive than Lenovo Vibe X3 price since it costs about $390 for 32GB ver and $470 for 64GB. Well, price is also an important factor you should note. Then, which one do you prefer?

Xiaomi Redmi 3: budget beast of 2016 with 4,000 mAH

Xiaomi is famous for their cheap but good quality smartphones launched to the market in the recent years. Seems like they are not planning to stop this reputation any time soon. For now, rumors are already talking about a brand new handset named Xiaomi Redmi 3, that costs an unbelievably cheap price: USD 92. This is equivalent to Xiaomi Redmi 3 price in Malaysia as low as RM 434. For under RM 500, what this Redmi 3 has to offer will definitely impress you.

In terms of Xiaomi Redmi 3 specs, we have 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage, an octa-core processor with Snapdragon 617 chip set. Xiaomi also gives this budget flagship a beautiful pair of camera: 13MP on the back and 5MP on the front. Xiaomi Redmi 3 is also a 4G competent smartphone. What is significant about the device is that, Redmi 3 battery features a huge 4,000 mAH battery. With this capacity, you can go 3 days on normal use without charging.

gsmarena_001

A bit about Xiaomi Redmi 3 design, seems like we will have a full metal body with 5 inch display and a 8.5mm slim body. We haven’t heard any further about whether the handset will come with micro SD card slot or not, but very hopefully Xiaomi will surprise us this time, like they did earlier.

Xiaomi Redmi 3: competitive to shine out others

Though this is not finalized by Xiaomi yet, if the price really turns out to be USD 92, it will be such a great treat for us users in this new year. Who will refuse a 4,000 mAH beast with 13MP camera that only costs half the price of other smartphones at the same league.

Best smartphones you’ve never heard their names before

Besides many brands we usually see such as Xiaomi, Samsung, Sony, Meizu, Huawei, etc. we still have other great ones. But, maybe you have never heard their names before. So, here they are!

1. THL 5000

Bad battery life is still a problem for many smartphones nowadays, but maybe not including THL 5000. It sports a huge 5,000mAh cell while the phone’s thickness is not affected much. Some other THL 5000 specs contain a 5.0-inch Full HD display, a octa-core MediaTek MTK6592 2.0GHz chip, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and Android 4.4 KitKat OS. Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite: 8MP selfie cam with Sony sensor for under $200

CES 2016 is warming up and Lenovo has just welcomed the event by announcing to introduce a model called Lenovo Vibe S1 at CES this year. So, what does it have?

gizguide-lenovo-vibe-series

Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite: 4G LTE, 8MP Sony Selfie cam and…

After claiming the coming of many laptops, Lenovo decided to launch a new smartphone belonging to Lenovo Vibe S series at CES 2016. It is named Vibe S1 Lite and we are quite sure this handset is a variant of Lenovo Vibe S1 announced in September 2015. Because the original S1 is very special thanks to its dual front camera, we hope the Lite ver can also inherit such a fantastic feature and maybe more.

Spec-wise, Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite specs include a 5.0-inch Full HD screen, a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 octa-core chip, Mali-T720 GPU, a dual SIM, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of ROM (expandable), and a 2,700mAh battery. In addition, there are 4G LTE connectivity, Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, and a main camera capable of 13 megapixels with a dual LED flash, PDAF, and BSI. In terms of taking selfies, we have to inform you that there would be no dual front camera as we see on the Vibe S1.

lenovo-vibe-s1-lite

However, it’s still very powerful with 8MP, Sony sensor and LED flash. You’ll have great pics even in low light conditions. Well, we assume the Lite’s a lower-end smartphone of the S1 but still an excellent mid-ranger compared to many others. If its price tag is affordable, no doubt this will become a strong competitor to Xiaomi products in the same category.

Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite price and availability

According to the source, the Lite will come with 2 color options: White and Blue. Besides, it will probably cost you $199 when going on sale in the first quarter of 2016. Well, what do you think about the phone as well as its price? Share with us your opinions!
