Huawei Honor 6 Plus Dual 8MP Rear Camera,5.5″,Dual Sim for just 320USD

After a lot of leaks and rumors, finally the Honor 6 Plus, the big brother of Honor 6 launched official in Beijing. As we reported earlier the Honor 6Plus comes really with Dual Rear 8MP Cameras and this is definitely the coolest feature of the 6 Plus.

Huawei-Honor-6-Plus-unboxing-

This is not the first phone we see with Dual Rear Cameras, but for sure the first one that has dual 8MP Rear Cameras. This is very impressive and allows you to perform a lot of camera centric tricks with the Honor 6Plus. You can easily add filters, refocus on certain areas or even adjust aperture after you took the shot. To make the Honor 6Plus real camera lover phone, Huawei also added a 8MP FrontCamera – true 888 pleasure.

Huawei-Honor-6-Plus-unboxing

The Honor 6 Plus Dual Camera on the phone seems very impressive. We like the camera especially due to two factors:

1. Fastest autofocus of any phone ( 0.1 s)

2. Variable aperture ( F0.95 – F16)

A slight disadvantage is that it cant record or play 4K since the chipset doesnt support it. On the other hand awesomly it uses PARTLY real eight blade iris aperture F0.95-F2.6, according to this image:

Honor 6 Plus Aperture

The Honor 6Plus has a larger display then the Honor 6, with a 5.5″ 1080p Full HD display. The 5.5″ display is manufactured by JDI which means it will have decent quality. The Honor 6Plus also sports the newest generation of Huawei’s own Octa-Core KIRIN 925 CPU. The KIRIN 925 series is very strong in terms of raw processing power and can definitely compete with the competiton of Snapdragon 801 and even 805.

Huawei-Honor-6-Plus-unboxing

The Honor 6 Plus comes as well with 3GB of RAM and with either 16/32GB internal memory. You can extend the memory up to 128GB via Micro SD. The Honor 6 Plus comes also with a large 3600mAh battery, this is even more then the iPhone 6Plus battery. To top this, the Huawei 6 Plus has an infrared blaster built in, so you can even replace your TV remote with the 6Plus.

Huawei-Honor-6-Plus

To round this phone up the Honor 6 Plus has NFC, FDD-LTE CAT 6 for Global 4G LTE and Dual SIM connectivity. The Honor 6 Plus will start at an amazing 1999 Yuan or 320 USD, 1099 RM. Expect to see the Honor 6PLUS selling very soon!

New 4G Xiaomi LeadCore Phone passes TENAA – 225 RM?

In November we heard the news that Xiaomi will be launching a Leadcore cpu-powered smartphone, that could cost as low as 399 Yuan, 65USD and would still sport 4G LTE. Now Xiaomi’s newest 4G low-cost phone just got certification by TENAA, China’s equivalent of SIRIM. We already know some of the specs of Xiaomi’s newest phone.

new Xiaomi Phone

The most important news about the new Xiaomi Leadcore phone is that it will have 4G LTE, which is very nice at this low price. So far all the news and rumors really point at a price of just 399 Yuan, which Xiaomi mainly achieves by using the low-cost Leadcore processor.

Design wise the new Xiaomi 4G phone looks a lot like the Xiaomi Redmi 1S. The gadget has the same capacitive buttons as the Redmi 1S and has a more understated design. So far we know the xiaomi leadcore device will support TD-LTE/TD-SCDMA/GSM Networks.

Additional specs include a 720 display, 1G GB of RAM and the Leadcore 1860CPU. The Leadcore 1860 is built by 28nm Cortex A7 structure and can be theoretically clocked up to 2GHZ and has the Mali T628 GPU. While we most likely wont see this in a 65USD chipset, the Leadcore 1860 can theoretically support 2K displays and 1080p FULL HD videos.

The device resembles the Redmi 1S handset from Xiaomi to some extent, you get the capacitive buttons below the display and the design doesn’t exactly scream “look at me!”, but it does the trick. The device has support for GSM / TD-SCDMA / TD-LTE network bands. The handset uses Leadcore 1860 (LC1860) processor, while it features a 720p display and 1GB of RAM, which is rather staggering if you consider the price point.

We do not have an official name for the new Xiaomi phone yet, but considering it has already passed the TENAA Certification it will very likely launch in the next weeks in China. If Xiaomi can really keep the price level of 399 Yuan for a 4G phone, this phone will sell crazy in all Xiaomi markets.

2014 Octa-Core Phone Benchmark Race – Meizu On Top!

2014 has been definitely the year of Eight Core Processors, moving away from QuadCore on the Snapdragon 801. Even Qualcomm is moving to Eight Cores with their newest Snapdragon 810. We have a comparison of 8 Popular Octa-Core Phones and their Benchmark Scores for you.

If you have decided to get yourself an Octa-Core Phone it is not very easy to choose these days. Basically you can choose from Mediatek, Qualcomm and even more brands like Huawei’s own Kirin series. Thats why we have a Ranking for you on some of the most popular Eight-Core Phones.

MX4 Antutu
2014 eight popular eight-core mobile performance rankings:
1, Meizu MX4 : customized version of MediaTek MT6595 1799Yuan
2, Huawei glory 6 : Hass Kirin Kirin 920 1699Yuan
3, Huawei Mate 7 : Hass Kirin Kirin 925 2999 Yuan
4, Xiaomi Note 3G enhanced : MediaTek MT6592 999Yuan
5, Great God F2: Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 999 yuan
6, Shenzhou X55 : MediaTek MT6592 999Yuan
7, HTC Desire 820 : Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 1999 Yuan
8, OPPO R5 : Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 2999 yuan

In our test the Qualcomm manage to get three scores in the Top 8, with the Snapdragon 615. The Snapdragon 615 with Eight A53 cores is largely targeted at the chinese market and not as powerful as the bigger brothers like Snapdragon 810.

Mediatek has clearly the most experience with Eight-Core Processors. Especially the Meizu MX4 can win this race once more with more then 50.000 points. The Mediatek MT6595 is customized for the MX4 and a real Powerhouse. Also the MT6592 in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3G makes a good impression and manages to score before the Snapdragon OctaCore Processors!

Huawei’s Honor 6 and Mate 7 come in very close second and third with Huawei’s Kirin 920 Processor. The Kirin 920 series in fact very powerful. As other Octa-Core Processors here the GPU cannot compare to Snapdragon 801 and even 800.

64-Bit Huawei Honor 4X LTE First Real Pictures

We will see the official Launch of Huawei’s first 64BIT Phone the Huawei Honor 4X on 16th. For all of you interested we have found some pictures of a Huawei Honor 4X Gold Version online already.

Honor 4X Gold Version

The Huawei Honor 4X sports Huawei’s own Kirin 620CPU, that uses 8 A53 Cores and is a 64BIT Processor. The Kirin supports TD-LTE, FDD-LTE, TD-SCDMA, WCDMA, and GSM networks. This means that luckily the Honor 4X will work on 4G networks outside of China, unlike other competitors as the Xiaomi Mi4.

Honor 4X Gold

Other specs for the Honor 4X include a 5.5″ HD display, 13MP Sony Rear Camera and 5MP Selfie Cam. It will also come with a large 3000mAH battery to support the 5.5″ screen.

Huawei Honor 4X Antutu

The 2GB RAM Version will be proced at 999 Yuan (162 USD) and the Low-Cost Version with 1GB of RAM will sell at 799 Yuan (129USD). This seems that the Honor 4X is targeted at the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G.

Honor 4X Back

If you are inside China you. For all other countries it means waiting till the official launch. The good news though is that the Honor 4X includes Fdd-LTE so its very likely to be launched outside of China.

64-BIT Meizu Blue Charm Note! Meizu to attack Xiaomi

When Meizu announced the MX4 in September, Meizu’s CEO said they would introduce three more products for 2014. So far we have only seen the launch of the Meizu MX4 Pro. Now finally two new low-cost Meizu phones seem to become reality, including a Meizu Note Alternative to the Xiaomi Redmi Note.

meizu blue charm note

While we reported on the Meizu K52 earlier this week, it seems that the second model might be the long awaited Meizu Blue Charm Note. As you can see from the pics, the phone in Orange is most likely the Meizu Blue Charm Note, the other on the Meizu K52. The Meizu Note will most likely target younger generations and launch in multiple colors.

Meizu-Blue-Charm-Note-and-K52-back-panels

If you look at the pictures we can tell, that Meizu has taken inspirations from Apple’s iPhone 5C series. The Glossy plastic on the back is just one of the similiarities, while of course the Meizu Note will be much larger with a 5.5″ display. Apart from the pictures we dont have much details to the Meizu Blue Charm Note yet. Its very likely though that Meizu is targeting the phone directly at the Xiaomi Redmi Note. That means you guys can expect similiar specs and pricing as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G.

Meizu-Blue-Charm-Note-and-K52-back-panels-leak_2

Most probably the Specs will be similiar to the upcoming Meizu K52, with a bigger screen instead.

Meizu Blue Charm Note Specs

Meizu K52 Specs – Competiton to Xiaomi Redmi 1S

Meizu K52 GFX BENCH

The white device you can see in the pictures is most likely the Meizu K52. The Meizu K52 will launch with a much smaller screen and a 4.6″ display. While the Meizu K52 will come with 15:9 aspect ratio, the Meizu Blue Charm Note will have 16:9 ratio.

If meizu keep their announcement, then we will see those two phones launch in the next two weeks. Meizu already announced on Monday a new phone launch and posted a Teaser with a Apple. Could this be a hint connected to the Meizu Blue Charm Note?

If in any case the Meizu Blue Charm Note is as affordable for the high specs as the Redmi Note 4G, this would be awesome. In fact that means that Meizu offers two alternatives to Xiaomi Redmi 1S and Xiaomi Redmi Note. The GAME is ON!
