The Xiaomi Mi Pad, Xiaomi’s iPad Mini Alternative is finally coming to Malaysia. The Mi Pad will launch on 10 February. At the same time Xiaomi will launch the MiPad in Taiwan, that makes Malaysia and Taiwan the first countries to launch the Xiaomi MiPad outside Mainland China.

If you dont know the specs yet, the XIaomi MiPad features a 7.9″ display with a resolution of 2048×1536, pixel density of 326ppi and Gorilla Glas 3. That display is comparable to the iPad Mini 3 display. Xiaomi Mi Pad is powered by the very powerful Nvidia Quad Core 2.2 GHz Tegra K1 CPU, Keppler GPU and 2GB of RAM.

Malaysia will only have the white 16GB Version available. If this is not enough storage for you the MiPad supports micro sd up to 128GB. Also you get a 8MP BSI Main Shooter, 5MP Front Shooter and large 6700mAh Battery. Connection wise the MiPad has of course WIfi and Bluetooth, but no Sim-Card or Cellular Option. With 8.5mm and 360g the MiPad is a bit larger and heavier then Apple’s iPad Mini Competition.

The Xiaomi MI Pad Price in Malaysia will be at RM799 for the white color and 16GB storage edition. The Price is very close to the original price in China at 1299 Yuan or RM745. ASUS has been quite successful with their Zenfone Smartphone Series and the Asus Zenfone 2 promises to sell like hotcakes. Now it looks like Asus is entering the Mobile Accessory Business as well.

Asus will launch the Asus Zenfpower 9600 PowerBank, which is as you can guess a 9600mAh Powerbank. 9600mAh is actually enough spare capacity to charge your Zenphone 3-5times. In terms of design the new Asus Zenpower reminds of another very popular PowerBank out there, which sells frequently out in Minutes in whole Asia.

As you can see the outside gets a brushed metal finish and you can get your Asus Zenpower Bank in various flashy colors. Compared to the rounded edge of Xiaomi’s PowerBank the Zenpower has more squared edges. Another difference is that Asus uses 3x higher capacity 3200mAh battery cells in their ZenPowerBank. The ZenPower Bank comes with 11 layers of Protection, which is better then Xiaomi’s 9 layers of Protection. You get full size USB outputs, micro USB input, four LED indicators and a large power/status button. There is no mention of output rating, but knowing Asus quality you should get 2AMPS output rating at least. Also there are different rubber cases available, if you are afraid of scratching your Zenpower Bank.

Conclusion: Asus is getting into the Mobile Accessory Business with the Asus Zenpower 9600mAh PowerBank. So far we dont know about the Pricing yet. Considering the Asus Zenfone Prices though we can guess that Asus Zenpower should be equally affordable as the Xiaomi Mi Powerbank. Of course these PowerBanks will sell like crazy. More important though the ZenPower Banks will carry the Asus Brand and bring the Brand enough publicity to give Zenfone Series a real Push in terms of Sales and Popularity! Well done!

Xiaomi has definitely started 2015 with a Bang, with not launching one but three new smartphones so far. Especially the Xiaomi Note and Note Pro managed to catch a lot of internationl attention, but it seems that Xiaomi might just have another ace hidden in their sleeves.

Xiaomi and Xiaomi Note Pro comes both with identical specs, but differ very significantly in terms of specs. While the Xiaomi Note comes with Snapdragon 801, 3GB of RAM and a Full HD 5.7″ Screen, the Xiaomi Note Pro packs the Best of the Best with Snapdragon 810, Quad HD and 4GB of RAM.

We are very sure that both of these devices will sell like Hotcake. Xiaomi did announce though that another launch will be upcoming in the next month. They didnt specify what exactly though. Well we might just have the newest pictures of this device fresh from China. If you have a closer look at the leaked pictures, you see a clear similiarity to the Xiaomi Note Devices. The main difference are the bezels though. In fact this device looks very much like it has nearly no bezels on the sides.

New Leaks of alleged Xiaomi Mi5 Flagship

Actually this device looks very much like the earlier rumored Xiaomi Mi5. Many of you were expecting a Xiaomi Mi5 Launch instead of the Xiaomi Note and Note Pro Launch. Now it seems like the Xiaomi Note and Note Pro is actually an enlargement of the Xiaomi assortment. Similiar to the Galaxy Note and Galaxy S Series. We might just see the successor Xiaomi Mi4, the Xiaomi MI5 Launch soon.

Earlier Leaks of a Xiaomi Mi5 Device  – As you can see most of those feature the nearly bezel-less design

Related to this a mysterious new Xiaomi Smartphone received Certification in China, with the Name 2014618, and no other specs mentioned. The only specs we know so far are GSM, TD-SCDMA and TD-LTE connectivity. This might of course not be related to the leaked pictures and could be the long awaited Xiaomi Redmi Note 2.

Conclusion: We saw new pictures of a Xiaomi Device, that looks awfully much like the long rumored Xiaomi Mi5. From a strategical standpoint it would make sense to launch a successor to the Xiaomi MI4 and have a seperate Premium “Note Series”. Anyhow Xiaomi keeps surprising us, so stay tuned for more news.

Xiaomi Makes Fun of Apple iPhone

Qualcomm just released a new press release stating” “a growing customer design pipeline in excess of 60 premium tier mobile devices based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor.” Sony gadgets and especially the Sony Xperia Z4 will be confirmed one of those premium smartphones.

Within Qualcomm’s Press Release Sony confirmed several Xperia devices with the 64-Bit Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 launching later this year. Gen Tsuchikawa, Senior VP and CSO of Sony Mobile stated clearly: “We’re excited about the new capabilities of the Snapdragon 810 processor and are looking forward to working with Qualcomm Technologies as we bring new Xperia products to consumers later this year,”

Reported Xperia Z4 specs include a 5.2″ 2K Triluminos display with 1440x 2560p resolution, Snapdragon 810, Android Lollipop 5.0.1, Sony’s 20.7MP Shooter and a huge 3400mAh battery. Also there are sources that say there will be two versions launching, one with QHD and one with 1080p display. This would make a lot of sense, since not every customer wants to sacrifice battery life for display resolution. Of course the Xperia Z4 will be water resistant again.

A recent leak from the Indonesian FCC (SIRIM) equivalent, makes also pretty clear that an Xperia Z4 tablet is expected to launch in 2015. The details reference a Sony Product called “SONY-SGP711, similiar to the last Sony Tablet Z2, that was filed as SGP5XX. Latest leaks suggest a 4K 10 inch or larger screen and of course the Octa-Core Snapdragon 810. Since the tablet is already being filled in Indonesia there is a big chance of seing the Xperia Z4 tablet maybe even at Xperia Z4 launch in May. Other likely candidates for the Snapdragon 810 include of course Z4 Ultra and Compact versions of the Premium Smartphone.

The Xperia Z4 expected price is likely to be in the same pricearea or even a bit more expensive then the Xperia Z3 and Z2. The Xperia Z2 Price was at nearly 900USD at Launch and the Z3 at 820USD. The Xperia Z4 is expected to pack significant feature upgrades versus their predecessors.

The expected Sony Xperia Z4 Release Date is in May 2015.

Very recently OnePlus confirmed to go their own ways, with their first OS, Oxygen OS for the OnePlus One. Many users have been anxious to see their new ROM, that is why we have now for you the first view on the OnePLus Oxygen OS

The Introduction of Oxygen OS is very exciting for all OnePlus Users and fans. You finally see a Operating System that is entirely designed and created by the team that brought us the OnePlus One. While the OnePlus is admittedly very amazing we hope the new Oxygen Os will be awesome at minimum.

Oxygen OS First Looks

The pictures show us a very clean and flat design. It looks like OnePlus tried to keep the Advantages of Cyanogen Mod, with their typical very simple, clean and non bloated Android feeling. Many of you will probably be happy about this, missing Cyanogen Mod already.

The MWC – Mobile World Congress is getting closer and well expect to see many new phone launches and announcements there. Now the latest leaks revealed what Lenovo might be launching there – The Lenovo Vibe Z3 Pro!

The Lenovo Vibe Z3 Pro leaks come directly from China and look like the real deal. The Vibe Z2 Pro Successor comes with a 5.5″ 2K Display and elegant metal build. In comparison the Vibe Z2 PRO had a 6inch Quad HD display, so it seems that the Z3 PRO will be significanly smaller.

Other specs of the upcoming Lenovo Vibe Z3 Pro include Qualcomm’s newest 64 BIT Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 and 4GB RAM. Camera Lovers will get a 16MP Camera with OIS Support, TRI-LED Flash and Laser Autofocus Support. You also get dual stereo speakers and a huge non-removable 3400mAh battery to power the 5.5″ Screen. Inside the Lenovo Vibe Z3 Pro you will find 64GB of internal memory.

The Lenovo Vibe Z3 Pro is only one of the Lenovo Phones we might be seing at the MWC 2015 in Barcelona. We dont have Vibe Z3 Pro Pricing yet, but judging on the Vibe Z2 Pro Price and the specs of this phone, the price will be definitely premium. What do you think of the Lenovo Vibe Z3 Pro?

HTC has several new phones upcoming. The most famous are of course the HTC M9 HIMA and HTC M9 PLus. Now we learned of another HTC Phone, the A55 which is definitely more then noteworthy.

The HTC A55 was originally part of the Desire Series, and expected to be a budget device. According to newest reports by upleaks the HTC A55 is actually not inferior to the HTC M9. HTC A55 will come with a 64-BIT Mediatek MT6795 clocked up to 2.0Ghz.

The MT6795 can clearly compete with the Snapdragon 810 CPU and clearly a cpu for high end flagship phones. It has a mix of 4X Cortex A53 and 4X A57 cores. Also you get many features that you know from the Antutu Winner Meizu MX4 like Mediatek CorePilot (power consumption), Mediatek Clear Motion (smoother videos) and MediateK ViraVision (DTV-grade picture quality).

Additionally the HTC A55 will have a 5.5″ 2K Display with a outstanding 2560 × 1440 resolution, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. Camera Lovers will get a 20 Million MP Rear Camera with LED FLash and 13MP Frontfacing Camera. Similiar to the HTC M8 the HTC A55 will also get BOOM Sound, and the latest Android 5.0 Update.

Clearly the HTC A55 specs can rival any of todays flagships. The only weak point might be the battery with less then 3000mAH for the 5.5″ 2K Display. Also we are not very clear of the strategic placement of the HTC A55. Maybe it will be a cheaper version of the HTC M9, to enlarge the M9 offering?

The new Xiaomi Note and Note Pro are clearly Xiaomi’s Entry in the Premium Flagship Market. Xiaomi’s main target is Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus.

From Xiaomi’s Launch Event it was already very clear that Xiaomi’s Note Pro main competitor is the iPhone 6 Plus. Xiaomi is very proud of having a thinner and more compact Flagship smartphone then Apple. Also they make it very clear what they think of Apple’s protruding camera via their Xiaomi Note’s Camera Design.

Now Xiaomi has released a new Video with Xiaomi President Bin Lin featuring a frying Pan and the new iPhone 6 Plus. They also showed the Video during their huge launch in Beijing.

Many of you look forward to the new Huawei P8 Flagship Launch, the update to the famous Huawei P7. Now the Weibo Account @Ubuntu团队, thats famous to launch Meizu infos, posted Huawei P8 specs, price and release date.

According to the infos the Huawei P8 will come with Double sided gorilla glas 3 protection and a ceramic uni-body design. The P8 will be quite thin and even thinner then the iPhone 6, with 6mm versus 6.9mm of the iPhone 6. For all Camera Lovers we have good news. The Huawei Ascend P8 will incorporate Dual Cameras from the Honor 6PLus, and might even get an upgrade to Dual 13MP Main Cameras.

The good news dont stop here though. The P8 will feature Huawei’s latest Kirin 930CPU, produced in 16nm process. This would make the Kirin 930 CPU the first SOC ever to be produced with 16nm, even the latest Snapdragon 810 is baded on 20nm process. In general the KIRIN Chipset is very powerful and can hold foot with Snapdragon’s Cpus easily.

Huawei Honor 6 Plus Dual Camera Samples – Same Camera In P8!

The battery of the Huawei P8 is quite moderate at 2600mAH, considering other flagships at this standard.Considering the 5.2″ Full HD screen and extremely thin body, this should be still okey though. Additionally you get a fingerprint sensor.

The same Source reveals that the Huawei P8 release date will be on 15 April in London. The Price will be at 2999Yuan, or 480USD.
For those Specs the Huawei P8 price is still very reasonable. We are sure there will be more leaks and pictures in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.

The very popular Case maker SPIGEN just launched for of their Samsung Galaxy 6 cases. All of these cases are sold on Amazon and show pictures inside the cases, of what is very likely the next Galaxy S6.

Naturally the Galaxy S6 is shown inside the cases, so we cant take a super clear look at it. We can clearly see the Main Camera with a LED FLash though, plus a Heart Rate Sensor. Also on the frontside of the S6 we see a home button and different sensors on top of the display. These pictures are definitely very close to earlier leaks of the Galaxy S6.

What makes this news so interesting is that Spigen actually revealed designs of other unannounced smartphones before. Very popular examples are the HTC ONE M8, Google Nexus 5 and LG G3. All of these phones were first leaked by Spigen and the revealed designs proved to be true. We could very well look at the real Samsung Galaxy S6 here, but of course we cannot be 100% sure.

The Galaxy S6 Release Date is expected to be in early March together with the Galaxy S6 Edge. Most likely both phones will be powered by Samung’s Octa-Core Exynos 7420, and Quad-HD 2K displays. Probably we will not see a Snapdragon 810 Variant. Also the S6 Edge will probably have a curved screen and 4GB RAM. We are definitely looking forward to the Samsung’s new flagship, the S6.

Good news for all of you Xiaomi fans. Xiaomi Rom Developers have achieved to get Cyanogen Mod 12, based on Android 5.0 for the XIaomi Mi4

Just a few days ago, Xiaomi reached out to 50 beta testers for MIUIV6 based on Android 5.0 for XIaomi Mi2. Apparently Lollipop is also landing for other versions like the XIaomi Mi4 and of course Xiaomi Note and Note Pro.

Now we have the first pictures of XIaomi Mi4 running on Cyanogen Mod 12. The CM12 version is based on Android 5.02 Lollipop. This is very good news for XIaomi fans. Cyanogen Mod is easily one of the best open source operating systems out there. Most famously known from the OnePlus One, it should be a very interesting choice for Xiaomi owners.

Of course we are very far from an official XIaomi Cyanogen Mod Version. Its still very got to know that you can get CM12 on your Xiaomi phone, if you are willing to root.
