Having reponsed to many questions about the premium flagship Z9, Ni Fei, General Manager of ZTE Nubia, confirmed that the phone would be soon available and “bezel-less”.

On March 26^th, that the company released the Nubia Z9 Max and Mini models left a question in us all how the flagship Z9 would be. To calm all fans of Nubia, Ni Fei has given a hint that the phone is scheduled to be launched. He told us not to worry about it.

Some pictures revealed that this phone got an extremely thin bezel. It is so thin that we can call it “bezel-less” or “no border”. The screen on body ratio is exciting as it reaches the edges of all sides.

There’re a lot of things to worry when builing a “bezel-less” phone like the architecture, the screen alignment or the sealing technologies, and with what available, we are not ready to launch such phones, implied Ni Fei before. Nevertheless, the existence of such device has been confirmed and it looks like the company has found out a solution for all issues.

Not a single specification of the Nubia Z9 is verified so far except the detail “no bezel”. We do expect this flagship phone can spot 2K display, 3-4GB RAM and Snapdragon 810 like on other newly-launched high-end smartphones.

It’s just the matter of time till we actually see a “bezel-less” phone. When premium ZTE Nubia Z9 comes out, it is sure to surprise us all.

On the OPPO main website, the company has released a dual SIM phone for just CNY 999 (RM 585) after being certificated by the Ministry of Industry.

The most highlighted point in this phone is its back mirror-effect design. This mirror effect makes look more expensive and flashier compared to a CNY 999 phone. On the back stays a main camera, a LED flash light, OPPO logo and a speaker at the bottom. Everything is arranged neatly.

OPPO A31t is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 4.4.4 Color OS pre-installed. In addition to a splendid back, the display is also worth noticing. It has a 4.5” IPS display with a resolution of 854×480.

Talking about camera, main camera is an 8MP sensor while up front is a 2MP camera. OPPO A31t supports dual SIM (one micro SIM and one nano SIM), TD-LTE, TD-SCDMA and GSM networks. Keeping everything operating well is a 2,000 mAh battery.

Everyone knows that OPPO Find series includes flagship phones, N series focuses on camera, R series concentrates on design and this new A line helps the company come closer to more people with cheap price, good specs and passable design.

At the conference in Beijing yesterday, HTC had announced two brand new phones: HTC One M9 Plus and One E9 Plus. Both come with quad HD (1440×2560) display. The two devices are ready to be sold in China and one the way to other Asia markets.

Just weeks after the launching of HTC One M9 at MWC 2015, the HTC One M9 Plus has been launched as a level-up with a slightly larger display. In this new HTC One M9 Plus, instead of using the top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, the company uses a 2.2GHz MediaTek MT6795 Octa-core chipset to power the phone along with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

A 5.2” quad HD (1440×2560) display is on the front of the device together with a physical Home button and front camera. Fingerprint scanner is embedded in the Home button so you just need to put your finger on instead of rolling over it. The displaying performance on the M9 Plus is far better than on One M9, which is very good already. Front camera on the One M9 Plus using Ultrapixel technique similar to the One M9. Like the older One M8, there comes a Duo camera at the back with 20MP sensor.

One M9 Plus has a metal unibody design that comes in three colors: Silver, Gold and Gunmetal Grey.

The HTC One E9 Plus comes in a bigger size. It features a 5.5” display with resolution of also qHD (1440×2560) and density of 534ppi, a 20MP rear camera and a 4MP Ultrapixel front camera. One E9 Plus is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6795M chipset, 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage. It supports dual nano SIM, LTE, Bluetooth and NFC. One E9 Plus runs on Android Lollipop and HTC Sense 7 UI.

Smartphone market is becoming more and more crowded. Manufacturers must fight hard to make themselved stand out not only with powerful specs or gorgeous design but also with affordable price. Lenovo has now lower down prices of its products.

Last August, super flagship Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro (K920) was introduced with impressive specifications along with surprising price, CNY 4780 (RM 2798). It’s been a month since the phone was first introduced in Taipei but it seems like the heat is still there. Xiaomi’s Mi Fan Festival is an event held every year to boost sales of the company. This year, the event had started at 10am. At 11:03:51, reported by Xiaomi, total money paid to orders had already reached CNY 500 million (over RM 293 million). Now we have the total numbers and Xiaomi sold an astonishing 335 Million USD in phones and gadgets in a single day! Apple you should better watch your back from now!

Just 8 minutes and 30 seconds after CEO lei Jun’s announcement, the total money exceeded already CNY 100 million. This figure breaks last year’s record, where CNY 100 million (over RM 58 million) was spent in 20 minutes.  Of the total gagdets sold, there were more then 38,000 Mi TVs, 770,000 smart appliances, 247.000 Mi Power Strips and 200.000 Mi Bands. This shows us that Xiaomi’ strategy of expanding their assortment is indeed very powerful!

For Xiaomi’s Phones especially the Xiaomi Pink Mi Note and an enhanced version of Redmi Note were  sold at six periods: 10am, 12pm, 14pm,16pm,18pm and 20pm. The new Redmi 2A was sold at those periods of time too pricing at CNY 499 only for today, instead of the normal 599 Yuan.

Redmi 2A is a new budget-friendly phone from Xiaomi just introduced on March 31^st. Featuring L1860C quad-core processor, 1.5GHz Mali T628MP2 GPU, a 4.7-inch 720p screen, 1GB RAM, an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front-facing camera and 8GB of internal storage, the phone even performs better than its sibling, the Redmi 2. Pink Mi Note is another phone introduced on March 31^st by Xiaomi. This girly phone is actually the flasgship Xiaomi Mi Note in pink. The phone is shipped with a 5.7-inch, 1080p LCD screen, a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 with 3GB of RAM. Its price is CNY 2,499 (RM 1466) because it will come in a beautiful gift box along with a 5,200 mAh power bank. Only 20,000 units of this gorgeous phone will be sold worldwide.

Xiaomi also put their money where their mouth is. Xiaomi shipped already more then 500.000 orders within 12 hours at the event. The first phone reached their customer just 1 hour 27 minutes in the sales, while they were having 3.05 million orders in the event! In 2014 XIaomi sold a total of  61.12 million smartphones and it really looks to us as they can beat this number this year! Apple take care!!!

Another flagship for 2015 is announced today. The LG G4 is coming out and LG’s invitations for the launch event are as clear as day.

An official image of the leather back spots the camera will have aperture of f/1.8, which had been highlighted in the teaser video before. Theoretically, compared with the f/1.9 lens on the Samsung Galaxy S6, photos captured in less ideal conditions taken by the LG G4 will let 11% more light.

The camera is supported with a dual-tone LED flash and laser focus sensors on either sides while the power and volume buttons are located underneath as on the LG G3. In one word, on-the-back-located position of the power and volume keys on the LG G series is typical.

A leather back panel is an eye-catching trait on the upcoming LG G4. We have noticed of it before through rumors but now, through the teaser image, it likes a confirmation. Edges and camera section will be surrounded by all stiches.

Reports said the phone would be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, which can be seen on LG G Flex 2 also, 3GB RAM, 16MP wide-angle rear camera along with laser focus.

It features a 5.5-inch qHD (2,560×1,440) LCD display. According to LG, this phone’s screen presents 30% brighter with a 50% higher contrast ratio than traditional qHD display, also it gives more precise color displaying.

Touchscreen sensititvity is improved in this new phone as well. Owing to the Advanced In-Cell Touch (AIT), the touch sensor is enclosed to the LCD screen making it more sensitive to touch in a thinner body.

The 5-inch 720p IPS screen delivers higher-quality display in comparison with Lenovo S90.

The back is a plastic panel. Looking at it, you will see a 13MP camera, a flash light and Lenovo logo. All are arranged neatly and nicely.

Ripping the back off, there you have the 4,000 mAh battery with the words: “Don’t remove the battery” and SIM card slots.

China is where this information came from, and the device in the pics shows itself and previous rumors showed us about the specifications.

Specs

This device takes after the A7000 but with better specs. It is said to ship with a 5.5-inch HD (1080×720) display, 2GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card (storage limit is yet unknown). 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6752 octa-core processor powers the phone pairing with 3,000 mAh battery. This larger battery capacity is expected to give longer using time compared to the 2,900 mAh battery on the A7000.

Camera

In camera section, there is a big boost here. From 8MP sensor on the A7000, a 13MP rear camera is sticked to the back of the device delivering high quality photos and videos. Sadly, the company keeps the 5MP resolution for the front camera. The device is stated to run on Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed along with Lenovo Vibe’UI 2.5.

Design

Coming to the design, we can clearly see that both the back and the front are covered in plastic with a metal band in-between. One noticeable is that the power and the volume buttons, which are also in metal, are all in the right side of the device. Looking at the photos, it seems like the thickness matches what’s on the A7000. It also supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS and Bluetooth.

It is ecpected that Lenovo will sell the phone around $160 (RM 580). If rumors are right, the phone will certainly arrive soon.
