Xiaomi Mi5 Antutu score beats Galaxy S7 and LG G5

Xiaomi Mi5 was just launched not long ago and able to wow lots of people. Furthermore, the company also revealed Xiaomi Mi5 Antutu score, hinting that Mi5 is even more powerful than the flagship Samsung Galaxy S7 and LG G5

Xiaomi Mi5 Antutu score more than 14…

Obviously, Xiaomi Mi5 is the new successor to Xiaomi Mi4 and considered as a much more advanced device in terms of design and hardware. Moreover, in order to make Mi5 the world’s star, Xiaomi has unveiled its Antutu score and felt no hesitation to compare it with other beast flagships, including Samsung Galaxy S7 and LG G5. Well, that’s really an interesting fact.

Speaking specifically, Xiaomi Mi5’s got 142,084 points on the Antutu benchmark (we guess it must be the most high-end variant), higher than 133,054 points of the LG G5 using Snapdragon 820 and 116,668 points of the Galaxy S7 using Exynos 8890 chip. Actually, it totally can happen since Xiaomi Mi5 specs are very strong with an SD820 2.15GHz processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB ROM, Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, a 16MP rear camera and a 3,000mAh battery.

mi5-11

Though, in fact, Mi5 still has some less excellent features if compared with the others. Its 5.2-inch screen only has Full HD resolution and 428 ppi while both S7 and G5 pack Quad HD res plus 577 ppi and 554 ppi, respectively. Additionally, they sport microSD card slots to expand their internal memories; Mi5 does not have.

Xiaomi Mi5 even beats iPhone 6S Plus at…

Apart from the Antutu score, Xiaomi also impressed everyone with their comparison between Mi5’s photography capability and Apple iPhone 6S Plus‘s. Accordingly, Xiaomi Mi5 camera did better in capturing sharp, blur-free images in dim light thanks to featuring 4-axis optical video stabilization (OIS). Wow, now we’re really looking forward to the day Xiaomi Mi5 goes on sale. How about you?

Sony Xperia Z series got killed, Sony confirmed

This can be bad news to those who love Sony Xperia Z series. But, let’s see what Sony said about that. Will Xperia Z flagship smartphones disappear forever?

Sony Xperia C6

Sony confirms Xperia X is a replacement for Xperia Z?

As we know, Sony introduced up to three new smartphones at MWC 2016 not long ago: Xperia X, X Performance and XA. Together they make a brand new line known as Xperia X. That’s good news to most people since they will have various choices when considering buying a Sony handset. Furthermore, the X models are designed more beautifully and equipped with powerful specifications. What should we ask for more?

However, we did not know that the appearance of the Xes will end the Xperia Z era. The company has confirmed there will not be any Sony Xperia Z6 at all. This piece of information was spotted under the form of a comment on Facebook written by “the German arm of the Japanese company”. The X will replace the Z. According to the translation of the comment, “Z6 will not exist. The new X series is under a modified concept that meets the needs of our users even more accessible.”

maxresdefault

If so, we assume the Xperia X Performance powered by Snapdragon 820 is one of the most important flagships of Sony this year, and the Xperia X and XA are its variants. That pretty makes sense; though, Sony fans may feel sad about it. On the other hand, we also wonder how they can continue the series with the name Xperia X Performance. It’s quite long!

Contractions are still there!

Still, we need something official from the firm because there have been many contradictions lately. For example, Sony’s Bulgarian Facebook account said the X series would be not a replacement but just a new line-up instead. Yet, in an interview with uSwitch.com, Jun Makino, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Sony Mobile, mentioned that indeed there would be no Xperia Z6. Perhaps everything has not been finalized yet. Let’s wait and see!

Lenovo Vibe K5 vs K5 Plus vs K5 Note: The same 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM, 13MP camera but different in…

Those are the latest mid-range models Lenovo released in early 2016 and have been drawing much attention from consumers due to their affordable prices and strong hardware. But before telling what other brand’s phones will be defeated by them, we would like to pick out the most powerful K5. Firstly, let’s check out the following spec comparison table.

You may easily recognize some similarities in terms of specifications of these guys such as only one 16GB ROM (expandable) choice, 2GB RAM, Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, dual SIM, 13MP rear camera, and two color options: Silver and Gold. For other features, there are some significant differences we need to note. Well, it is not difficult to realize that Lenovo Vibe K5 is the lowest-end here; the runner-up will be the Vibe K5 Plus (but actually they are not very different from each other, except for the display); and the strongest machine is Lenovo K5 Note with a big battery, a fantastic selfie shooter, a large beautiful screen, a powerful chip, more capacity expanded via microSD card, and a fingerprint scanner.

K5_Gold_Hero_02

Though, you can see that K5 Note is not as thin and light as K5 and K5 Plus, and its batt cannot be removed. Besides, if we talk about the best display here, it can’t be the Note since the Plus has a totally higher ppi. The champion also has their own drawbacks, right?!

Lenovo Vibe K5 vs K5 Plus vs K5 Note: Price and availability

No doubt Lenovo Vibe K5 price is also the lowest in this battle. Furthermore, if we look the whole picture including many other smartphones on the shelves now, K5 is really a good deal for those who just need a decent handset for normal use. In case of wanting a bigger device, Lenovo K5 Note is definitely the perfect one. It can also take gorgeous selfies! So, it’s time for you to tell us your winner!

Nokia at MWC 2016: They are working on a high-end smartphone!

A lot of people, including us, are waiting for Nokia’s comeback this year. And yes, after a long time not releasing any new smartphones, Nokia showed up at MWC 2016 to talk about their plan. Check it out now!

nokia-swan-phablet-concept-1-1024x640

According to what was posted on nokiapoweruser not long ago, Nokia is working hard on an Android smartphone. Some previous rumors claimed that it would be a mid-ranger, but when showing up at MWC 2016 to announce the company’s intention to return to the mobile sector, Mr. Rajeev Suri – Nokia’s CEO, said they are preparing a high-end handset and “there’s no timeline, there’s no rush.” He also added that “it could happen in 2016, it could happen later.”

Reason for this statement is because they want to find the right partner to produce their machines. It’s just like what Nokia hinted last summer that the firm would not make the phones itself, but license the brand to another manufacturer. Though, Nokia will still be “in a position to design the devices in question with appropriate control measures in case they don’t meet expectations,” according to what the CEO insisted at the event.

Nokia-E1-front1

Well, no doubt it would be pretty hard to please Nokia since the return is very important not only to the company but also to the brand lovers. In fact, Nokia can still affect the modern mobile market despite being locked out of making devices. They have sold off its mapping business – HERE maps – to German carmakers and has been exploring 5G networks in Finland and are planning new datacenters in the UK.

New Nokia smartphones will not look like before!

As Nokia will design while the partners will build, retail and advertise the products, we really hope to see something like Nokia Swan or Nokia E1 this time. They are all strong and beautiful enough to be the “good business” model mentioned in the CEO’s speech at MWC 2016. So, let’s wait and see!

1. Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus: Affordable mid-ranger

First of all, it is a model with a pretty long name: Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus. Spec-wise, it features a handy 5.0-inch HD screen, a quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6735P processor, 16GB of ROM (expandable up to 32GB), and 2GB of RAM. In addition to Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus specs, there are Emotion UI based on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, a massive 4,000mAh batt enabling the phone to last about 3 days with just one charge, and a combo of 13MP primary and 5MP secondary camera on board to run the whole phone.

OnePlus 3 specs and design: Here is what you need to know!

As we know, OnePlus has started to gain more and more success since the OnePlus One launch in 2014. Then, they continued to release two more models called OnePlus Two and OnePlus X in 2015 to compete with other brands as well as confirm their position in the smartphone market. Though, the Two was not really a beast as we had expected, but the X was able to catch up with the world’s trend: powerful and affordable machine. As a result, lots of people have been looking forward to the next member of the OP team this year.

And here it is: OnePlus 3 equipped with top specifications. It was leaked in a teaser clip considered as an official trailer of OnePlus 3 not long ago. Design-wise, the OP 3 looks beautiful, covered by a slick curved metal frame and a brushed metal back, not the signature sandstone one we usually see on OP 1 and 2. For OnePlus 3 specs, nonetheless, there is not much information included in the video.

Yet, in order to become a qualified “flagship killer”, OP3 has to have these high-end features: a 5.5-inch 2K screen, a Snapdragon 820 chip, Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, 4GB of RAM, an at least 4,000 mAh battery with fast charging tech, NFC support and a fantastic camera combo, like 8MP/20MP shooter.

OnePlus 3 price and availability

In general, OnePlus smartphone is now one of great choices when it comes to buying a new handset. But you now, at the moment, there are a lot of devices debuting every week. So, if OP wants to sell products well, they need to make their OnePlus 3 strong and affordable. According to some sources, OnePlus 3 launch is likely to happen this summer and cost around $380. That’s a pretty okay OnePlus 3 price, rite?!

vivo

Although there is not much information related to the powerful hardware of Vivo Xplay 5, we are really looking forward to it. Vivo Xplay 5 price and availability

It is said that Vivo Xplay 5 launch date will be March 1, 2016. If so, there are just a few days left. At the moment, no words have been made for Vivo Xplay 5 price, but we guess it can range from $650 to $800. What do you think? What is the reasonable cost for such an awesome handset? Sony Xperia X

Son Xperia X series: X, X Performance and XA to start a new great era for Sony

Yes, three of them have made a totally new series known as Xperia X. In fact, we are quite impressed with the way Sony names their products this time: X, X Performance and XA, having the same 5.0-inch display. However, X and Per own curved screens while XA does not. Besides, they all sport metal backs and “tone-on-tone approach”, or in other words, each handset’s front and back carry a “single, continuous color”. Well, honestly, we really like the elegant appearance of those Sony smartphones.

In terms of specifications, Sony Xperia X specs include a Snapdragon 650 chip, 3GB RAM, 32GB of expandable ROM, Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio, DNC, and Full HD display resolution. Specially, on the back, there is a “future-focused” Smart Capture camera packing Sony Predictive Hybrid Autofocus and 23MP sensor while the front contains a fantastic 13MP snapper for selfies. Under the hood, the X boasts a 2,620mAh battery which promises to give two days of use with just one charge.

As for Sony Xperia X Performance specs, it comes with Full HD resolution, a Snapdragon 820 chipset, 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM (expandable), a 2,700mAh cell, Android 6.0, and a 23MP rear/13MP front shooter combo. About Sony Xperia XA specs, they are lower-end than the others, but still pretty good with HD res, a MediaTek MT6755 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM (expandable), Android 6.0, a set of 8MP secondary plus 13MP primary cam and a 2,300mAh batt.

Sony Xperia X smartphones price and availability

Despite being announced at MWC 2016, there has been no word made for those Sony smartphones’ prices yet. Hopefully, the company will release the guys in the next weeks with reasonable costs for Xperia X, X Performance, and XA. Now, tell us your opinions and feelings about them!
