Obviously, Xiaomi Mi5 is the new successor to Xiaomi Mi4 and considered as a much more advanced device in terms of design and hardware. Moreover, in order to make Mi5 the world’s star, Xiaomi has unveiled its Antutu score and felt no hesitation to compare it with other beast flagships, including Samsung Galaxy S7 and LG G5. Well, that’s really an interesting fact.

Speaking specifically, Xiaomi Mi5’s got 142,084 points on the Antutu benchmark (we guess it must be the most high-end variant), higher than 133,054 points of the LG G5 using Snapdragon 820 and 116,668 points of the Galaxy S7 using Exynos 8890 chip. Actually, it totally can happen since Xiaomi Mi5 specs are very strong with an SD820 2.15GHz processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB ROM, Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, a 16MP rear camera and a 3,000mAh battery.

Though, in fact, Mi5 still has some less excellent features if compared with the others. Its 5.2-inch screen only has Full HD resolution and 428 ppi while both S7 and G5 pack Quad HD res plus 577 ppi and 554 ppi, respectively. Additionally, they sport microSD card slots to expand their internal memories; Mi5 does not have.

Apart from the Antutu score, Xiaomi also impressed everyone with their comparison between Mi5’s photography capability and Apple iPhone 6S Plus‘s. Sony confirms Xperia X is a replacement for Xperia Z?

As we know, Sony introduced up to three new smartphones at MWC 2016 not long ago: Xperia X, X Performance and XA. Together they make a brand new line known as Xperia X. That’s good news to most people since they will have various choices when considering buying a Sony handset. Furthermore, the X models are designed more beautifully and equipped with powerful specifications. What should we ask for more?

However, we did not know that the appearance of the Xes will end the Xperia Z era. The company has confirmed there will not be any Sony Xperia Z6 at all. This piece of information was spotted under the form of a comment on Facebook written by “the German arm of the Japanese company”. The X will replace the Z. According to the translation of the comment, “Z6 will not exist. The new X series is under a modified concept that meets the needs of our users even more accessible.”

If so, we assume the Xperia X Performance powered by Snapdragon 820 is one of the most important flagships of Sony this year, and the Xperia X and XA are its variants. That pretty makes sense; though, Sony fans may feel sad about it. On the other hand, we also wonder how they can continue the series with the name Xperia X Performance. It’s quite long!

Still, we need something official from the firm because there have been many contradictions lately. For example, Sony’s Bulgarian Facebook account said the X series would be not a replacement but just a new line-up instead. Yet, in an interview with uSwitch.com, Jun Makino, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Sony Mobile, mentioned that indeed there would be no Xperia Z6. Perhaps everything has not been finalized yet. Yes, the wait is over and now we are informed of everything about Xiaomi Mi5. Design-wise, some people think Xiaomi Mi5 is like a mix of Samsung‘s layout and iPhone’s rectangular shape. But in general, it’s a beauty, to be honest. On the front surface, you will see a home physical button, equipped with a fingerprint sensor, super slim display bezels, an MI logo on the upper left corner and selfie camera. Meanwhile, the Mi5’s back is made of metal and curved at the sides.

Some previous rumors claimed that it would be a mid-ranger, but when showing up at MWC 2016 to announce the company’s intention to return to the mobile sector, Mr. Rajeev Suri – Nokia’s CEO, said they are preparing a high-end handset and “there’s no timeline, there’s no rush.” He also added that “it could happen in 2016, it could happen later.” 

Reason for this statement is because they want to find the right partner to produce their machines. It’s just like what Nokia hinted last summer that the firm would not make the phones itself, but license the brand to another manufacturer. Though, Nokia will still be “in a position to design the devices in question with appropriate control measures in case they don’t meet expectations,” according to what the CEO insisted at the event.

Well, no doubt it would be pretty hard to please Nokia since the return is very important not only to the company but also to the brand lovers. In fact, Nokia can still affect the modern mobile market despite being locked out of making devices. They have sold off its mapping business – HERE maps – to German carmakers and has been exploring 5G networks in Finland and are planning new datacenters in the UK.

Well, finally, what we’ve been waiting for is coming true. Many people predict this Vivo product can gain lotsa success like ASUS ZenFone 2 with 4 GB RAM released last year.

Not long ago, Vivo posted a teaser claiming that their Xplay 5 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and whooping 6 GB of RAM. Though, apart from those two details, other Vivo Xplay 5 specs are still unknown. Yes, three of them have made a totally new series known as Xperia X. In fact, we are quite impressed with the way Sony names their products this time: X, X Performance and XA, having the same 5.0-inch display. However, X and Per own curved screens while XA does not. Besides, they all sport metal backs and “tone-on-tone approach”, or in other words, each handset’s front and back carry a “single, continuous color”. Well, honestly, we really like the elegant appearance of those Sony smartphones.

In terms of specifications, Sony Xperia X specs include a Snapdragon 650 chip, 3GB RAM, 32GB of expandable ROM, Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio, DNC, and Full HD display resolution. Specially, on the back, there is a “future-focused” Smart Capture camera packing Sony Predictive Hybrid Autofocus and 23MP sensor while the front contains a fantastic 13MP snapper for selfies. Under the hood, the X boasts a 2,620mAh battery which promises to give two days of use with just one charge.

As for Sony Xperia X Performance specs, it comes with Full HD resolution, a Snapdragon 820 chipset, 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM (expandable), a 2,700mAh cell, Android 6.0, and a 23MP rear/13MP front shooter combo. About Sony Xperia XA specs, they are lower-end than the others, but still pretty good with HD res, a MediaTek MT6755 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM (expandable), Android 6.0, a set of 8MP secondary plus 13MP primary cam and a 2,300mAh batt.
