Official Meizu PRO 6 launch: Deca-core chip, 4GB RAM and 21.1MP cam
Meizu PRO 6 launch has just happened! It is the newest as well as most powerful model in the house. Check out what it looks like and offers us!
Meizu PRO 6: Strong deca-core chip, 4GB RAM and 21.1MP rear shooter
Meizu PRO 6 comes with a metal unibody design which is obviously different from its predecessor Meizu PRO 5, launched last year. Specifically, the PRO 6 sports prominent antenna lines, laser autofocus and single LED flash for its main cam on the back. On the front, right below the display, we can easily see a physically home button equipped with a fingerprint sensor underneath. Overall, Meizu PRO 6 looks simple but premium.
Spec-wise, the PRO 6 packs a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED Full HD screen protected by curved Gorilla Glass 3 glass, 3D Press technology (said to be a Meizu’s version of 3D Touch tech), a MediaTek Helio X25 deca-core processor, paired with Mali-T880 GPU. In addition to the Meizu PRO 6 specs, there are also a 2,560mAh battery supported by 24W mCharge 3.0 for fast charging, 32/64GB of internal storage, 4GB of RAM under the hood to power the whole machine. Well, we’re a bit… sad when the 6GB RAM Meizu PRO 6 did not come true.
Though, its camera combo has somehow comforted us. It consists of 21.1MP f/2.2 primary snapper with an interesting 10-LED dual-tone flash, Laser plus PDAF, and a 5MP f/2.0 selfie shooter. We bet your shots will be fantastic. Now, let’s move on to the next part to see how much Meizu PRO 6 costs.
Meizu PRO 6 price and availability
Meizu PRO 6 is claimed to be available from April 23, 2016 at 2,500 Yuan ($385 or €340) for the 32GB ROM version and 2,800 Yuan ($430 or €380) for the 64GB ver. For a 4GB RAM and camera-centric flagship smartphone like that, those prices are not very high. What do you think? Will you take it into consideration? Share with us your opinions!
Best Android phone choices for under RM 800 in April
Let’s check out what Android smartphones costing no more than RM 800 are available in our market! You can easily get a device with a big battery, a beautiful display, an excellent selfie cam, and so on…
1. ASUS ZenFone Max
ASUS ZenFone Max specs include a massive 5,000mAh battery which can provide a talk time of up to 37.6 hours, video playback time of 22.6 hours, Wi-Fi web browsing for 32.5 hours, and a stand-by time of 38 days. Furthermore, the phone can also be used as a power bank to charge other machines. So impressive, isn’t it?
Besides, the Max is run by a 5.5-inch HD screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 2GB of RAM paired with 16GB of ROM (expandable up to 64GB). Additionally, there are ZenUI based on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and a combo of 5MP front-facing plus 13MP rear camera on board to help power the whole device.
Should Apple equip their upcoming iPhones with microSD cards?
Have you ever thought about an iPhone equipped with a microSD card slot to expand its internal storage? Well, we’re thinking about that and totally agree Apple should consider this point. Here are the reasons…
1. Access your data all the time and in all places
Nowadays, uploading data to Cloud services like Google Drive, Dropbox, Microsoft SkyDrive, etc. has become a trend. Actually, they were created to save more internal memory. They are good but please keep in mind that all of them need internet access while you cannot always stay in ideal places with strong Wi-Fi network or maybe you will have to pay much money for 3G or 4G connectivity. There you go! There is where microSD card shows you its most important benefits: being accessible all the time and in all places.
2. Save more money than you think
Yes, it is also one of the best things about microSD cards. Usually they are cheap, perhaps even cheaper than affording cloud services, and long-lasting for years. Furthermore, as technology is non-stop developing, microSD cards capable of 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, and 200GB are getting so common. As a result, their prices are, and will, dropped rapidly.
3. Use the phone in a simpler way
Well, with ROM expanded via microSD card, everything stays in your device. You do not have to spend much time on connecting to Wi-fi, logging in your cloud account, and waiting for your files uploaded or downloaded. Besides, you can transfer stuff from your machine to a PC or vice versa in a pretty easier and less time-consuming way. Do you agree?
So, those are three main points we want to talk about microSD card’s advantages. Yet, do you feel they are enough for Apple to set a space in an iPhone for a microSD card? Share with us your opinions!

By looking at the spec table, we can easily recognize that all of them are powerful smartphones with 4GB RAM, Qualcomn Snapdragon 820 chips, Android Marshmallow OS, and Quad HD displays handsets. Besides, each of them also sports a fingerprint scanner, a single or dual SIM, 32GB ROM expandable up to 200GB (though, Galaxy S7 and HTC 10 offer you 64GB ROM option while LG G5 does not). So those are some essential similarities. How about differences? There may not be many, yet they will help decide which one is the strongest device here.
First of all, you can see that three machines all have pretty handy displays with very high ppi numbers. Nonetheless, Galaxy S7 is the one sporting the most beautiful screen thanks to measuring 5.1 inches with 2K resolution, 577 ppi, Super AMOLED panel, and “always-on display” mode. Moreover, in terms of battery, we also want to choose the S7 as the best here since it is capable of 3,000mAh and able to be charged very quickly despite not being equipped with the latest Quick Charge 3.0 tech.
As for photography, you will feel super satisfied with their camera combos, which also makes it hard to pick out the most excellent one. Specifically, LG G5 packs an interesting dual rear shooter setup consisting of a 16MP f/1.8 plus an 8MP f/2.4 sensor. Meanwhile, the others boast 12MP main cams with brilliant technologies. The S7’s got dual pixel tech which can be found on more expensive Canon SLR cameras, enabling the autofocus to operate extremely fast. For the HTC 10, the device owns UltraPixel 2 tech, bringing a quick and accurate autofocus, good exposure, white balance, and noise reduction in low-light conditions. So, what is your choice in this case?
HTC 10 vs Galaxy S7 vs LG G5: Price and availability
Overall, HTC 10, Galaxy S7 and LG G5 are great flagships in the half of 2016. Maybe the Samsung’s product has somehow shown slightly better hardware, but price is be another story. Samsung Galaxy S7 price is around $750 while LG G5 price and HTC 10 price are pretty the same $699. Obviously the S7 is the most expensive here, yet do you think it’s worth? A new Lenovo smartphone is coming next week with 4GB RAM and…
A new device made by Lenovo-backed ZUK company will be introduced next week. Some of its great specifications have also been spotted on Antutu recently. Check it out now!
New Lenovo ZUK model is coming with 4GB RAM and…
The one we want to talk about is Lenovo ZUK Z2, a successor to Lenovo ZUK Z1 debuting in August 2015. Actually it was confirmed long ago, but it is recently that much information of the handset has been unveiled. Speaking specifically, a model dubbed Z2121 appeared on Antutu benchmark with some detailed features. However, some say it is Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro, not the original machine. Anyway, we are so glad to know that the phone will come with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip.
In addition to the Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro specs, basically there will be a Full HD display, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box, 3/4GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal memory (we hope it can be expanded via microSD card slot). In terms of camera, the main one is capable of 13 megapixels and the secondary snapper is 8 megapixels. They are pretty standard but still able to bring you fantastic pictures for sure.
Although Antutu did not reveal a full sheet of the ZUK Z2 Pro’s hardware, it still totally can become a powerful competitor on the shelves. One more important thing is that if the phone is really going to be equipped with a rotating shooter as what we heard before, definitely it will stand out among a lot of smartphones nowadays.
Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro price and availability
Despite not knowing whether that is ZUK Z2 or Z2 Pro, or they are just one, you only have to wait a few more days to see it since the launch will officially take place on April 21, 2016. This was claimed by the Chinese company’s CEO Chang Cheng on Weibo. For the price, we predict it will cost around $360 to compete well with many other 4GB RAM smartphones out there.
HTC 10 Lifestyle launch: 5.2 QHD display, fantastic cam and more affordable price
HTC 10 has just been launched, yet according to what we’ve heard so far, not all places will get the original 10. Instead, a model called HTC 10 Lifestyle will be released there…
HTC 10 Lifestyle to come with the same 5.2-inch Quad HD display and a class-leading camera setup, but…
Apparently, HTC 10 Lifestyle will replace TC 10 in some parts of the world such as India (confirmed already). Design-wise, there is no difference at all. It still comes with the same dimensions (145.9 x 71.9 x 9.0mm), weight (161 grams), front glass panel, all-metal body, two antenna lines on the back, and chamfered rear frame. Then, we guess the major differences between them will lie at their hardware.
Speaking specifically, HTC 10 Lifestyle is equipped with a Snapdragon 652 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Additionally, LTE speed is downgraded as well: Cat.6 (300Mbps / 50Mbps) instead of the HTC 10’s Cat.9 (450Mbps down, 50Mbps up). Apart from those features, the rest of HTC 10 Lifestyle specs are retained as the HTC 10 specs.
It means the “little” bro also sports a 5.2-inch Quad HD Super LCD 5 screen, a decent 3,000mAh battery supporting Quick Charge 3,0, Android 6,0 Marshmallow OS, and a class-leading camera setup consisting of a 12MP UltraPixel 2 rear shooter with 1.55 micron pixels, f/1.8, plus OIS, and a 5MP selfie one with OIS plus f/1.8, too.
HTC 10 Lifestyle price and availability
At the moment, no word has been made for HTC 10 Lifestyle price as well as its availability, or a list of the countries where the HTC 10 Lifestyle will be sold. Though, we guess this device will be a lot more affordable than HTC 10 price due to some lower-end specifications listed above. About $500 can be a good idea, don’t you think?

This smartphone packs 4GB RAM and 13MP for only 150USD
More and more 4GB RAM smartphones are produced nowadays, but an affordable 4GB RAM model is still hard to find. Here is an excellent option you can take into consideration.
Blackview R7: 4GB RAM, 8MP selfie, 2.0GHz chip and…
Blackview R7 design comes with a metal indie frame including “8 times precise CNC machining, Micron-sized sand blasting, vacuum-coating paint and nano anti-fingerprint technology”, according to the company. In general, it is a good-looking guy, but the more important point is that the hardware inside is of a beast smartphone.
Speaking specifically, Blackview R7 specs include a Helio P10 octa-core 64-bit 2.0GHz chip paired with Mali-T860 graphics processor, Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 2.5D Arc glass, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage (expandable). Under the hood, there is a decent 3,500mAh Polymer Li-ion battery which can also smartly control the current as well as prevent over heating during charging. Antutu report for Q1 2016: Here are the top 10 strongest smartphones
A lot flagships were born in the Q1 of 2016. However, which ones are the best? Here is your answer: Antutu report with Top 10 strongest smartphones!
Antutu report: Winner is an Android smartphone!
If you remember, in the Antutu report published at the end of 2015, Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus were the most powerful in terms of performance. Nonetheless, they are no longer the champions in the Antutu report of the Q1 2016. Instead, two Android devices – Xiaomi Mi5 and Samsung Galaxy S7 edge – have led the race with 136,875 points and 134,599 points, respectively.
They are the newest flagships of their own companies and obviously equipped with top features for smartphones nowadays, especially the processors. Xiaomi Mi5 specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip while Samsung Galaxy S7 edge specs contain a Samsung Exynos 8890. Needless to say, the handsets are very strong and fast to do any task you like.
Meanwhile, despite losing the first position, Apple iPhone 6s is still a pretty good machine when being ranked third with 133,781 Antutu points. Though, we wonder where LG G5 is. It is also a beast phone in the market now and very possible to defeat the iPhone 6s. Perhaps its official score has not been updated yet.
What specs does the champion have?
Before coming to an end, we would like to recap on the Xiaomi Mi5 specs for you. Basically, it is powered by a 5.15-inch Full HD screen with 428 ppi, a 16MP/4MP camera combo, an SD820 chip, MIUI 7 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, and up to 3 choices over RAM and ROM capacity: 3GB/32GB, 3GB/64GB and 4GB/128GB. Nevertheless, you should also note that the first version employs a SD820 1.8GHz chipset while the others use an SD820 2.15GHz one. We’re sure the Mi5 taken into the Antutu test was the highest-end model since it could defeat the 4GB RAM Galaxy S7 edge easily. (Source: phonearena)
Samsung patented augmented reality wearable technology
Recently, Samsung has been said to be working on an “augmented reality wearable technology” that can be much better than Google Glass…
So, what is “augmented reality wearable technology”?
Google Glass (which is like a pair of eyeglasses but basically with the lens being an interactive, smartphone-like display, natural language voice command support, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity to perform tasks you command by saying) is an interesting toy by perhaps not as successful as the company has expected. However, now you can look forward to what Samsung is having in the works: augmented reality wearable technology.
In order words, it is a kind of tech equipped with “smart” contact lenses able to take pics by blinking your eye(s) thanks to some special sensors. Amazing, rite?! And if it comes true, Samsung will be the first one in the world to do that, according to technology blogSammobile. Speaking more specifically, Samsung has been spotted filing a patent in South Korea for “a smart contact lens fitted with a camera and image display”.
Though, the concept design requires a smartphone to wirelessly connect to the lenses. All of this actually started in September 2014, but has just been public lately. Now, you can see some of the lens’ images featuring some blueprint designs as below.
Available this April?
Anyway, we guess it is still pretty soon to say if the tech will be introduced this year. A patent does not have to be “a definitive go-ahead” and maybe it is just for preventing any rival from running with the idea. Then, let’s take it with a pinch of salt! OK, it’s your turn to tell us what you think about the plan.
