iPhone 7 series are expected to unveil in mid-September. From the recent leak, they come with three variants : iPhone 7, iPhone 7 plus and iPhone 7 Pro. Especially, the “Pro” version has the “real change”.

Both of iPhone 7 plus and the Pro come with 5.5-inch, 1080-1920p resolution, 3GB RAM, iOS 10, and dual camera. However, iPhone 7 Pro version seems to be better the Plus with the internal storage can be expanded up to 256GB. In addition, iPhone 7 Pro will pack a super AMOLED display and high-quality Touch ID.

Apple iPhones in 2017, in 2018 and…

In 2017, iPhone 7 Pro may have an edge-to-edge screen in the front of a device. Apple will equip the TouchID on iPhone 7 Pro screen as well as it’s front-shooter camera and the speakers. One of other changes for iPhone 2017 come from the curved screen with AMOLED display. President and chief analyst of UBI research, Lee Choong-hoon, said that Apple will get new suppliers for making the new displays. According to Lee, in 2018, all of iPhones devices will have a curved display. Galaxy X comes with the 4K foldable display

Samsung has produced flagship devices with a high-quality display as Galaxy S6 /S6 Edge, S7/S7 Edge. But they still want to make a better screen with more cool technologies. From the South Korean news media , Samsung is developing the new foldable phone screen. If they success, we will see the first foldable handset in 2017 named Galaxy X. In addition, we will also see 4 flagships include Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Edge, Galaxy Note 7 and Galaxy Note 7 Edge in the next year.

As the leaked information, Galaxy X screens can be folded, and comes with a 7-inch screen, 4K display. It will be the best smartphone screen until now. Other Galaxy X specs will contain 6GB memory  and Snapdragon 823 processor. The leaked image also indicate that the device can be foldable in half and has the special shape like a wallet.

We can’t imagine what can Samsung do in the next year? As you know, in 2013, Samsung introduced the flexible OLED displays, which calls YOUM displays. They also display some couple of foldable smartphone prototypes which use YOUM technology. Samsung has been working for the new foldable smartphone, and they got good results. So, we expect to see a wonderful handset in 2017.

Of course, with new technologies and all specs above, Samsung Galaxy X will not be cheaper than the current Samsung flagships. We expect that Galaxy X price will be around $650. Nokia feature phone business is rumored to be sold. Two years ago, Microsoft bought Nokia phone division. And now, Microsoft might decided to license the Nokia name to contract manufacturer Foxconn.

Nokia feature phone: it’s time to say goodbye

Two years ago, there was a huge acquisition between Microsoft and Nokia. Microsoft spent $7.2 billion buying Nokia phone division in September, 2013. And the deal took several months to be totally completed in 2014. Few months after the acquisition, the Lumia became the highlighted product of Microsoft. The company sold 8.5 million Lumia in the Q1 of 2015. But at this time, the business is declining. Things are about to get tougher.

According to VTech (Chinese website), Microsoft is planning to close their business in feature phone after a long hard period. During the first quarter of this year, they only sold 15 million handsets. And Foxconn is the name that’s reportedly interested in this business. Microsoft still has the right to sell these feature phones under this name until 2024 (the purchase of Nokia’s Devices and Services unit in 2014).

After closing the feature phones, Microsoft is rumored to fold the rest of Microsoft Mobile business (the Lumia smartphones) into the Surface group. This will make Surface Phone be the only device manufactured by Microsoft. And if this happens, about 50% of Microsoft Mobile current staffs will be in an unemployed condition. Since the last acquisition happened, this division has suffered more than 18,000 losses.

Microsoft with new direction

After being nearly 2 years together, Microsoft is not interested in feature phones anymore. This business is going down. At the moment, the company is focusing on business and enterprise segment with Windows Mobile delivery. Customer segment with feature phones is not the target. This giant software company is also believed to concentrate on the Surface Phone. And this Surface Phone is expected to be launch in 2017.

In a recent report, Sony will delete the Xperia C and M series. Furthermore, they are going to develop the New Xperia X series. What will Sony plan in 2016?

In a recent leak, Sony announced that all the future Sony handsets-including flagship smartphones will come from the new Xperia X series. The leaked information also shows that the ‘X’ logo will be used for all promotions and advertisements of Sony. The new Xperia X series will be developed until 2018. This means Sony has officially deleted the Xperia C and M series. In the past, Sony has also killed the Xperia Z series. Now, Sony’s fan expect the new Sony Xperia X in 2016 will have more great specs.

Firstly, let’s see Sony Xperia C series and M again. The Xperia C was launched in 2013, June. In terms of Xperia C specs: the phone comes with 5.0-inch display,540 x 960p resolution and it is powered by a 1 GB of RAM, 4GB of ROM and 8MP camera. Since then, We see other C series as Xperia C 4, C5 with better features. What about Xperia M specs? The phone comes with 4.0-inch display with 480 x 854 resolution. It is powered by a 1 GB of RAM, 4GB of ROM. The Xperia M is a good mid-range smartphone that costs at $250 when it was launched.

In the future, Sony will concentrate on the Xperia X series. In the early time of 2016, Sony has launched the new Xperia X with more great feature than its predecessors. Xperia X screen comes with 5.0-inch FHD display (1080 x 1920 p resolution). In terms of Xperia X specs: The phone is powered by a 3GB RAM, 32GB of ROM and SD 650 chipset. As for Xperia X camera, you have a 23MP on the rear and 13MP on the front for selfies. Xperia X camera has a 2,620mAh battery that gives you two days of use. Besides, you have 2 variants of the Xperia X is Xperia X performance and Xperia XA.

Sony has announced the Xperia X release date is in February 2016 and the Xperia X price is $523. Then, Sony also announced the Xperia X performance release and Xperia XA release date with $748 and $370 price tag . Until now, there aren’t further information about the new Xperia X launch date as well as it’s price. Hopefully, Sony will launch the next Xperia X smartphone in 2016. Let’s wait for that.

Hawei is popularly known as smartphone company. And now they’re about to make another step to tablet marketplace. Huawei MateBook  – the first convertible tablet of Huawei – is coming. The Huawei Matebook release date is said to be in early June.

The company is planning to have a public announcement on this May 26th. There will be 3 variants of this tablet.

The Matebook spots an  a 12-inch display (2160 × 1440 resolution) with 4430mAh battery life. . It will be powered by Intel Core M processors (M3/M5/M7) and runs on Window 10 (Window 10 Home or Pro). There are two options for memory: 4GB and 8GB of RAM, and 3 options of inbuilt storage: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. There will be no camera on the rear, but it will have a 5MP front-facing camera. The Matebook features a dual speakers and an USB Type C.

You can choose to have a MateBook Keybord, Matedock, MatePen or not. The keyboard of this MateBook is made of leather. And it can turn into an triangle stand. This keyboard was designed to have two folding positions. The MatePen is not only a stylus which has 3 hardware buttons, but also a laser pointer. The MateDock  offers USB-A, USB-C, micro USB, and a battery pack.

Well, those are some main points about the design of this “Futuristic Mobile”. However, unfortunately, there’s nothing official about this 3-screen smartphone specs getting revealed. As what people may expect, hopefully it will have Quad HD resolution, a Snapdragon 820 chipset and Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS to be basic. Besides, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of ROM, a 4,000mAh battery, and a 16MP camera are also excellent features worth being on board. So, let’s wait and see!

Intel processors are gonna no longer be used in the next generation smartphones of Asus. Asus is following the trail and releasing their smartphones powered by Qualcomm processors.

Asus gets rid of Intel processors

Asus has been a great main partner of Intel for all those glorious years. From tablet and convertible to smartphone, Intel chipsets has always been with their products. However, things are about to change. While the Intel processors continuing taking over on the tablet and convertible market, things do not go well with smartphones. Asus decided to remove the Intel chipsets in their next smartphone lines. And they will replace with Qualcomm and Mediatek instead.

Asus CEO – Jerry Shen – revealed that new about 90% of the smartphone lines will be powered with Qualcomm CPUs. And the remaining will be with Mediatek. This is clearly an affirmation that Asus is going to end the businesses with Intel in the smartphone lines. There is sill no reason for this ending. However, it’s reported that the Intel processors didn’t bring the good results on smartphones as it did on tablets and convertibles.

Since Qualcomm has become the popular chipsets at this time, smartphone manufacturers is forced to go with the flow. And here is the typical example for this. After the newest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor showed up, many manufacturers had switched their previous chipset to this one.
