As the end of 2016 approached, Elephone made a promised with its users about a new phone being released soon in 2017. Fast forward to now, March 2017, after quite a few teases, finally Elephone has launched its promised phone. It is named Elephone C1 Max. The phone a pretty large screen size, which can be seen clearly when put beside an iPhone 7 Plus. However, to reduce the price of the phone, it will only feature a HD resolution of 1280×720.

Among other Elephone C1 Max specs, the processor is another area where the company has made cost-saving measures. The phone only features a quad-core MT6738 Mediatek chipset. Despite the fact that it does not have the best components inside, the Elephone C1 Max tries to make up for that with sufficient functionality for users. On the front, there is a fingerprint scanner to enhance the security of the phone. However, what makes this phone stands out is the camera, compared to all the cost-cutting effort from Elephone.

Elephone promised that the C1 Max would have dual camera to cater to those who love photography, and the company delivered. At the back of the phone is a dual camera set up, with a main 13MP lens, and an additional 5MP sensor. The second sensor will help the phone take more in-depth pictures, and can create bokeh effects, just like that of an iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. As for the rest of the specs, we still don’t know yet about the RAM, storage, or battery size. We are waiting on Elephone for more information!

The world cheapest 4-camera phone: Bluboo D1

New information about the Bluboo D1 has come out recently. A few weeks ago, sources said the phone wold use Snapdragon 825 processor. Today, it stated that the phone will be price around $60. It would be the cheapest smartphone with 4-camera setup today. As for Bluboo D1 specs, the official teaser brought info about 5-inch JDI HD display with a MediaTek MT6737T quad-core processor. Under the hood you can also find 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM. The storage is expandable up to 256GB.

The camera setup is the most interesting thing about this device. It should have dual cameras on both front and back panel. The back snappers are 8MP resolution. Meanwhile, the rear ones are 5MP. The back shooter will have panorama features and dual LED flash, capable of taking 2160p@30fps videos. We are not sure about the camera quality though. But we assume that the second camera on each side will not provide the same quality as the other one.

Other features include a non-removable 2600mAh battery and fast battery charging technology. The phone also supports USB Type-C and expandable storage up to 256GB. Luckily enough, Bluboo D1 will still have a 3.5mm audio jack on the top. The phone will run on the latest Android 7.0 version out of the box.

The world cheapest 4-camera phone: price and conclusion

Bluboo D1 is said to come with a $60 price tag. However, we don’t think that this information is accurate. But if the phone doesn’t use Snapdragon 825 for its SoC, then maybe a $60 price tag is achievable. Okay, our first position has gone to iPhone 7 Plus with an average Antutu score of 185,494. Wow, that is very impressive when it could win many other 6GB RAM handsets to be the best device in terms of performance. Well done, iPhone 7 Plus! So, what does it exactly have to do this?

Today, we have a tough fight between two beasts from Motorola. First, let’s talk about the processor of the upcoming Moto G5 Plus phone and Moto Z! Under the hood, the compact Moto G5 Plus phone will be by a Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 processor, while Moto Z is equipped with a Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 SoC. This means that with the latter phone, you will get a better and stronger performance.
