Today is not only the day that Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 is launched officially but also the new Xiaomi OS: Xiaomi MIUI 7. It is said to be built with Android 5.1 Lollipop and offer many new cool features, compared to the previous MIUI.

The first one to be named is face detection mode you can find in the Gallery app. It helps recognize faces the view has. Furthermore, now you can even detect different pets thanks to the app. It seems like Xiaomi wants to bring better experience of taking photos to phone users.

Secondly, Xiaomi MIUI 7 will provide you with a lot of new themes, one of which is pink ‘Goddess’ theme. It is like a special gift for all lovely girls and women. For other themes, you can look for and download from the store.

Not stopping here, Xiaomi MIUI 7 brings the users Mi Roaming, a feature that plays the role of a virtual SIM. This is gonna to be very helpful when you decide to travel to another country but do not want to leave your smartphone at home. Specifically, it enables you to purchase a data package from Xiaomi to use, so there is no need to get another SIM at all. Unfortunately, this Mi Roaming’s availability is in China only, but hopefully in the near future, Xiaomi will develop that more in order to spread it worldwide.

Last but not least, the new OS will allow you to set videos for contacts. It means when someone calls you, there will be one video you selected playing on your homescreen instead of the normal ringtone. Sound cool, right?!
