Coolpad Conjr: Real beast with a twist

Coolpad celebrates the New Year with its newest budget smartphone, the Conjr. Featuring a metal body with 2.5D glass on the front and a 5″ LCD HD screen, the phone resemble its long distance cousin, the Lenovo K6. In general, the phone has a beautiful design and gives a premium feeling, promising to be a heavy contender for 2017 affordable smartphones. However, despite its good look and aluminum unibody design, the phone has one small issue when it comes to specs.

In term of Coolpad Conjr specs, it sports 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, expandable through the microSD slot. The rear camera has a 13MP sensor, while the front has an 8MP sensor. Both comes with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture. However, the Coolpad Conjr only use a Cortex-A53 quad-core processor clocked at a low 1GHz. The Mali-T720MP2 GPU which comes along with the CPU won’t be suitable for running most 3D games, but it should be enough to handle 2D gaming experience.

Other features include a 2,500mAh non-removable battery with up to 9 hours of talk time using 3G. The phone also has LTE connection (150Mbps) and 2x NanoSIM slots. However, the second slot is a hybrid and can be used to insert the microSD card. Luckily enough, Coolpad decided to include a 3.5mm audio jack on the top and a microUSB 2.0 port on the bottom.

Design-wise, the Cool S1 owns a metallic body. Its display is 5.5 inches size that has Full HD resolution. In addition, this new smartphone of LeEco and Coolpad is powered by Snapdragon 821 chipset running at the speed of 2.35 GHz. The handset also runs Android Marshmallow 6.0 OS out of the box with Emotion UI v,5.8 of LeEco on top. As regard to memory and storage, the Cool S1 provides two variants: 128GB of ROM with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM with 4GB of RAM.

Under the hood, LeEco and Coolpad equips its device with 16MP camera at the back coming with phase detection autofocus, 4K recording, and a dual-LED flash while there is an 8MP shooter on the front for selfie. In order to keep the light on, the mobile exploits its power froma 4070mAh juice pack that is supported by Quick Charge 3.0 (refueling from 0% to 80% in 35 minutes). LeEco Cool1: new flagship with 4GB and dual cam

An image of the device’s rear panel has just been leaked online. Along with this image is some of the specs of the phone. This device is said to be the product of LeEco and Coolpad. After becoming the biggest shareholder of Coolpad, LeEco is cooperating with this company to release a new product – LeEco Cool1. And this phone will be the first shot of this combination.

In terms of LeEco Cool1 specs, the new phone will come with a 5.5.-inch Quad HD display. It is powered by a SND 820 processor. To ensure the performance, the company added a 4GB of RAM paired with a 64GB of inbuilt storage. Cool1 will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with LeEco’s EUI on top. It is backed up with a 3500mAh battery life. On the back of the phone, you’ll find a fingerprint sensor.

The most highlight spec of the phone is LeEco Cool1 camera. The handset’s teaser did confirm that LeEco new phone will come with a dual camera on the back. After Xiaomi, LeEco and Coolpad will be the next manufacturers stepping into the dual- camera phone market. Huawei should be careful because its rivals are coming.
