Back in late November this year, LeEco together with Coolpad has cooperated to produce a mid-range specs phone yet budget price tag called LeEco Cool1C. Recently, the two companies announced to be in collaboration again to manufacture a new smartphone – Cool S1. Unlike the Coo1C and Cool1 Dual, this new handset will be a high-end phone with decent specs. Let’s see what Coolpad Cool S1 will bring with.

Design-wise, the Cool S1 owns a metallic body. Its display is 5.5 inches size that has Full HD resolution. In addition, this new smartphone of LeEco and Coolpad is powered by Snapdragon 821 chipset running at the speed of 2.35 GHz. The handset also runs Android Marshmallow 6.0 OS out of the box with Emotion UI v,5.8 of LeEco on top. As regard to memory and storage, the Cool S1 provides two variants: 128GB of ROM with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM with 4GB of RAM.

Under the hood, LeEco and Coolpad equips its device with 16MP camera at the back coming with phase detection autofocus, 4K recording, and a dual-LED flash while there is an 8MP shooter on the front for selfie. In order to keep the light on, the mobile exploits its power froma 4070mAh juice pack that is supported by Quick Charge 3.0 (refueling from 0% to 80% in 35 minutes). Other Cool S1 specs include a USB Type-C connector, a combination 4G LTE and Bluetooth 4.1 radio, and a dual SIM card slot, a fingerprint sensor, etc.

The phone is available at $389 for 64GB ROM and 4GB RAM model while the 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM will cost you $460. This phone will go on sale exclusively in China. Until now, there is yet no information that the Cool S1 will be available in overseas market.

A Chinese brand called 8848 has just launched its luxury smartphone which is made of titanium and gold; and of course, it comes with a very expensive price.

At the first glance, we would think that it came from those made by London-based company Vertu because of its design language. This Chinese device is said to have been designed by designer Lawrence Hsu for the wealthy in order to celebrate their partnership with Forbidden City Palace National Museum. The device is made of expensive materials – sapphire glass, calfskin, hand-polished titanium and high-quality ceramics.

The phone is expensive not only because of its design alone but more about the sophisticated features it packed. Inspired by the dragons themed around the art works inside the Imperial Palace in China. There is a 18K gold dragon sculpture engraved on its back and a layer of calfskin leather around with 4 color options: black, pink, grey and bright yellow.

Regarding to its specs, the device comes with 5 inches, resolution – 1920 by 1080 pixels. This Chinese luxury smartphone is powered by an 8-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon paired 4 GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM. However, the chip is not specified. When it comes with camera, there are a 21MP rear and a 3MP front camera. The phone is also a dual SIM card / dual standby phone. Titanium M3 also offers secure mobile banking, strong encryption and other security tools.

Ready for the Chinese New Year Sales season

It is clear that the phone is ready on sale during the ongoing Chinese New Year Sales season. Du Ying, the 8848’s founder,  said the company’s aim was to make secure and high-taste phones for the business folks. There are two price options, depends on the configuration. With its high-end features, there is no surprise when it goes with low-end version at approximately $1500. For top-end modification, you will have to pay $2400, however, it is limited only 999 phones for the domestic market.

As a result, the mobile of Nokia would providing better selfie photos than that of the X Power.

Under the hood, the Nokia Pixel runs Android 7.0.1 OS out of the box whereas the operating system of the X Power is Android, v6.0.1 (Marshmallow). Therefore, with latest Android OS version, the performance of Nokia Pixel somehow is better than that of LG X Power. Besides, both smartphone also comes with Fast battery charging support.

LG X Power is now available at $251, approximately. Meanwhile, you need to wait at least until next year to see Nokia Pixel comes alive. In addition, it is expected that Nokia Pixel price would be budget, around $200.
