Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 is ready to take off! According the manufacturer’s CEO on Weibo, Redmi Note 2 official launch date has been made, specifically on June 29, 2015.

To be specific, Mr. Lei Jun, Xiaomi’s CEO, has recently posted a screenshot of Xiaomi Redmi Note 2’s display on his Weibo page. Moreover, he also mentioned that their new device will be launched on June 29, 2015. So, it has been more than a year since Xiaomi Redmi Note 1 was introduced.

On the other hand, a leaked image of Xiaomi Redmi 2 has been spotted by a Twitter account. There is a high possibility that it will be the device unveiled at the end of June. If so, Redmi Note 2 is likely to sport a fingerprint scanner below the rear camera and LED flash. The power and volume buttons will be placed on the right while the 3.5mm headset jack will be on the top.

Other than that, in the previous posts, we talked about the Redmi Note 2 specs, and now we would like to recap a bit. It reportedly features an all alloy design, a 5.5-inch Full HD screen, a Helio X10 or Snapdragon 410 processor (depending on the region), 3GB RAM, a 3,100mAh battery, a dual SIM, a combo of 13-megapixel rear and a 5-megapixel front camera.
