Apple will officially kill iPhone 7 16GB ROM version
Apple is sprinting up to get ready for their iPhone 7 release in H2 2016. As the big day is coming closer, the company has just finalized an interesting decision
iPhone 7 line up: no 16GB ROM being produced
It is such a common knowledge that Apple iPhone never comes with a microSD card slot to expand their in
ternal storage. Therefore, users can rely only on their built-in ROM to store files and media. Knowing that, Apple has finally decided that its time to say good by to their low configuration – 16GB ROM. Instead, this variant will be replaced with a 32GB capacity, offering more space for their future iPhone 7 users.
The reason for this change is that, iOS updates are getting heavier and heavier, and with too small free space, it is hard to get the upgrade and run smoothly. Especially when rumors are saying that, iPhone 7 will have very condensed retina Apps and high resolution musics, as well as an upcoming streaming Video service. We even think that, with these configurations, maybe even the 32GB ROM is not far from enough.
However, many users are saying that, for a long time now, the 16GB model has been the most popular, thanks to its affordable price. Such removal of the “budget” variant will likely cause a great decline in the amount of iPhone 7 bought worldwide? Or will it even boost the sales stronger for meeting up with public’s demands?
iPhone 7: 32GB ROM is “just enough”
Apple iPhone, despite being the forever controversial topic in our smartphone market, always succeed in making a great hit whenever launched. Prior to the official iPhone 7 release date, Apple has been hinting a lot of interesting news about their flagship. The fact that iPhone 7 will soon kill out 16GB ROM variant is only making the topic more and more appealing to smartphone users worldwide.
Flexible smartphone will be released in China this year
The first truly flexible smartphone will be released this year. That’s a confirmation from Moxi Group. This smartphone can bend around your wrist like an accessory. It also can be stretched flatly like the other phones.
Flexible smartphone: a smartphone bracelet
In the last few years, we’ve seen so many products which are “flexible” from Samsung and LG. Samsung has the dual-curved screen smartphones with S6,S7 (Edge). LG has the G Flex phone which is curved to the shape of a banana. However, these phones are not really the flexible phones. And now, we’re about to have a chance to see the real deal from the Moxi Group. The company is gonna sell 100.000 units in this year.
Moxi Group -a Chinese start-up- has been developing a flexible smartphone that can roll over itself. You can fasten it around your wrist and wear it like a watch or a bracelet. The screen of this smartphone was made of a graphene which is super thin, light, strong and flexible. They can create a flexible screen, but not with battery and processor. These non-flexible parts will be kept rigid by a module at the one end of the phone.
For the first flexible smartphone, the company will use an e-ink technology. That means the flexible smartphone will sport a black and white display. This feature makes the device look like a Kindle rather than a smartphone. About the flexible smartphone specs, there might be a 4GB or RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. It’s gonna have a Snapdragon processor and a 3500mAh battery life.
Flexible smartphone price: not for the back-white display
With this flexible smartphone, Moxie is bringing the new fresh air to the smartphone market. The small unknown startup shows up with the big smartphone technology. This could be a huge challenge to some big brands like Samsung, LG or Apple. The flexible smartphone release date will be later this year, say, November 2016. And this black and white -display phone is gonna be sold only in China. The flexible smartphone price will be about $760. The color display phone will be available in 2018.
Huawei sues Samsung for violating patents

Huawei sues Samsung: 12 patents were violated
According to Huawei, the giant from South Korea infringed its 12 patents. 8 of them related to cellular networks. The remains are smartphones. Samsung is said to use Huawei’s 4G cellular communications technology, operating systems, and user interface software. And it already used this 4G LTE technology 5 years ago. This was the time when the Korea company released its flagship the Samsung Galaxy S II.
Samsung’s patent violation: not the first time
This is not the first time that Samsung involved in a patent lawsuit like this. In 2011, the big Apple sued against the Korea giant. Apple said Samsung copied the design, technology and user interface of its iPad and iPhone. And Samsung counter-sued. This lawsuit lasted for 4 years. Within 4 years, both companies lost a lot of money.
Should Apple equip their upcoming iPhones with microSD cards?
Have you ever thought about an iPhone equipped with a microSD card slot to expand its internal storage? Well, we’re thinking about that and totally agree Apple should consider this point. Here are the reasons…
1. Access your data all the time and in all places
Nowadays, uploading data to Cloud services like Google Drive, Dropbox, Microsoft SkyDrive, etc. has become a trend. Actually, they were created to save more internal memory. They are good but please keep in mind that all of them need internet access while you cannot always stay in ideal places with strong Wi-Fi network or maybe you will have to pay much money for 3G or 4G connectivity. There you go! There is where microSD card shows you its most important benefits: being accessible all the time and in all places.
2. Save more money than you think
Yes, it is also one of the best things about microSD cards. Usually they are cheap, perhaps even cheaper than affording cloud services, and long-lasting for years. Furthermore, as technology is non-stop developing, microSD cards capable of 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, and 200GB are getting so common. As a result, their prices are, and will, dropped rapidly.
3. Use the phone in a simpler way
Well, with ROM expanded via microSD card, everything stays in your device. You do not have to spend much time on connecting to Wi-fi, logging in your cloud account, and waiting for your files uploaded or downloaded. Besides, you can transfer stuff from your machine to a PC or vice versa in a pretty easier and less time-consuming way. Do you agree?
So, those are three main points we want to talk about microSD card’s advantages. Yet, do you feel they are enough for Apple to set a space in an iPhone for a microSD card? Share with us your opinions!
Upcoming Apple: huge 5.8 inch iPhone, AMOLED display and curved screen
After the success of iPhone SE so far, Apple is planning more interesting news for their upcoming mobile. According to our reliable source, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the company is working on a 5.8 inch iPhone with curved….
Specifically, Kuo mentioned that, Apple is about to launch a new phone in 2017, which will allegedly be a “glass sandwich”. To make it easier to imagine, this 2017 iPhone design will be somehow similar to that of iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S, but with a bigger size of 5.8 inch. What is special about this rumored iPhone is that, the glass on both of its sides is expected to be curved, making a lot like Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
In a current article, AppleInsider quoted that “The analyst believes Apple is looking to implement exotic materials to further differentiate iPhone from a sea of competitors”. If everything goes as we know for now, the 2017 5.8 inch iPhone will be the first Apple mobile to feature AMOLED display, with a huge 5.8 inch screen size. This is a significant change from the typical 5.5 inch LCD panel found on iPhone 6S Plus. Let’s see how it turns out to be in real machine.
The source did not mention any other features of this new generation of the iPhone. However, in order to catch up with the trend in our fast growing market, we expect 2017 5.8 inch iPhone to have a decent RAM of 2GB or bigger. As we already have 12MP camera for the current 2016 iPhones, this upcoming mobile will be having at least the same or enhanced resolution.
2017 5.8 inch iPhone: another best selling product?
Apple iPhone products are always among the most popular mobiles in the entire market. However, since they are subjected to making quite a big change, let’s see how well they will do to attract new users, as well as convince old users that they are a worthy brand to be trusted
4 inch iPhone SE VS iPhone 5s: 6 differences between the two
Ever since Apple iPhone SE was launched, the question being asked has been: what are the differences between this smartphone and the previous generation iPhone 5S. Here is how to distinguish between the two.
iPhone SE VS iPhone 5S: see the differences
Although both iPhone SE VS iPhone 5S feature the same 4 inch display, there are significant differences you can spot, either visually or in terms of specs. First of all, iPhone SE is launched with rose gold color variant, which is lacked from its counterpart. This special color is a great selling point Apple just adapt for their current iPhone generations. Secondly, the branding on the back is another obvious sign to tell whether this handset is iPhone SE or its predecessor. If you take a closer look, iPhone SE 12MP camera has a darker color, as taken from iPhone 6S, while iPhone 5S 8MP camera has a clearer and brighter glass on its sensor.
Thirdly, another visual difference is that, the Apple logo on iPhone SE has solved the problem of that on iPhone 5S. Usually, the “Apple” on the back of iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S scratches very easily, it is now made of stainless steel for iPhone SE. Forth of all, let’s talk about the difference in terms of specs. iPhone SE is equipped with Live Photos and Retina Flash, both new features produced for iPhone 6S. These functions help boost image quality under low light condition and offer better photo experience for users.
Next, the fifth difference we found when it comes to iPhone SE VS iPhone 5S is that, with 12MP camera on the back, iPhone SE clearly takes better pictures and capable of 4K video record, which totally beats iPhone 5S 8MP camera. Last but not least, not only does iPhone SE has smoother performance with 2GB RAM and A9 chip set, but it also comes with NFC – a function iPhone 5S lacks.
iPhone SE VS iPhone 5S: same size, 2 levels
While both come in the same display size, iPhone SE is clearly stronger than its counterpart in terms of features and performance. This makes the “mini iPhone 6S” becoming more and more popular among Apple users. If things keep going this direction, will iPhone 5S be killed by its competitor soon?
iPhone SE is the strongest 4 inch smartphone – Apple claimed
iPhone SE was recently launched and suffice to say, receiving great interest and attention from users everywhere. Recent sources are now suggesting it is the strongest mobile of its category thanks to …
iPhone SE: strongest 4 inch mobile
After iPhone SE was officially released, Antutu also announced the benchmark result of the smartphone. According to that, iPhone SE, with 2GB RAM and A9 chip set, scored up to 134.358 points on Antutu Benchmark, which is slightly higher than that of iPhone 6s/6s Plus (with 132.620 points) and far ahead of iphone 6/6Plus (with 80.554 points). With such a score, iPhone SE, as said by Apple when they promoted their new device (source), is currently the strongest 4 inch smartphone of today.
Not only is iPhone SE the most powerful smartphone of its own 4-inch display category, but it is also stronger than many other bigger devices. Specs wise, iPhone SE is said to feature mostly the same with premium iPhone 6S, minus the 3D Touch function. This means under the 4 inch screen, there is 2GB RAM, Apple A9 chip set, dual core, 12MP camera on the back and 1.2 MP shooter on the front. The phone comes in 2 variants: 16GB and 64GB and can be chosen between Gray, Silver, Gold or Rose Gold options.
Apple iPhone SE is going to be on the shelves real soon. In our previous article, we noted down very detailed information about the official release date of the smartphone in different market, including India. Phone SE price – as we know for now, will be starting at INR 30,000 (which is equivalent to PHP 21,000 and around USD 450) from official re-sellers and select carriers of the company
iPhone SE: small in size, great in specs
Small as it may look, iPhone SE is definitely not an mediocre smartphone that you can look down on. With 1,642 mAH battery, iPhone SE can work up to 14 hours of talk time, or 64 hours on stand by mode. Would you pay 450 dollars to get a tiny smartphone that fits perfectly in your pocket from this Giant?

iPhone 7 Plus – Dual camera and more!
While people are still waiting for the coming Apple iPhone 5SE, lately some information about has been seen on the internet. Specially, it appeared in a live photo, which makes everything even more reliable. Looking at the pic, we can see the handset sports a dual shooter on the rear, just like what was mentioned before. Besides, we notice that the camera hump is clearer compared to that of iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. And there will be no antenna lines crossing the machine’s back.
In general, this iPhone 7 Plus design is totally fine. Though, as for iPhone 7 Plus specs, no word has been made yet, but we know a little of its main snapper. The two-cam setup is said to create “zoomed-in pictures without the bulk of a mechanical zoom or the distortion that comes with inflating images digitally.” More specifically, one lens will take a standard wide-angle image and the other will get a closer one.
Apart from the above details, we got something new. It seems like the iPhone 7 Plus will boast a smart connector similar to the one on Apple iPad Pro. It helps interface with its keyboard and other accessories. Well, that is a good feature, right?! Hopefully we can get more infor of the device in the next days.
iPhone 7 Plus price and availability
As Apple’s tradition is to release flagship smartphones in September, we’re pretty sure iPhone 7 Plus launch will happen along with iPhone 7 in September 2016. For its cost, we guess the handset will be priced at around $900. What do you think? Is it reasonable enough?

New iPhone model: 5.8 inch and OLED display
According to Digitimes, Apple is planning on producing a bigger model of iPhone, which will feature a 5.8 inch OLED display. Ever since we heard that Apple had the intention to adapt OLED screen for their smartphone, the internet has been guessing when it will be ready to launch. If it’s true to what we are guessing, we will soon see this new option on iPhone soon. The time could be right now or any time in the near future.
Also in the same article, Digitimes mentioned that, the 5.8 inch iPhone could be named iPhone Pro. No further word about the iPhone Pro specs, or its design has been unveiled. However, from what we know about Apple, it won’t be too much to say iPhone Pro will have an awesome design with premium rears and a classy look. However, looks like we will not see iPhone Pro with 5.8 inch display any time sooner than 2017.
For the time being, Apple is believed to debut their rumored 4.7 inch handset, the iPhone SE, on March 21st. Apple iPhone SE will run over A9 chipset. The chip was ranked 2nd in the list of top 10 smartphone processors, by Antutu several days earlier, and only behind Snapdragon 820 by Qualcomm.

Apple iPhone, despite all the controversies, is still one of the most popular and best selling smartphones in our market today. With a brand new display size of up to 5.8 inch, this iPhone 7 Pro is expected to catch huge attention from users around the world when it is launched, allegedly in 2017.

HTC Nexus will employ the tech, then Xiaomi, Meizu, OPPO, and Vivo will…
According to some current news, Google is having a plan to equip their upcoming Android machines with necessary software supporting 3D Touch tech, just like what we see in the duo Apple iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. Besides, it is said that as the feature will be added right into the operating system, smartphone manufacturers will not need to create their own software implementations for it, and it means that the adoption will happen real fast.
Apart from the above piece of information, it is suggested that HTC will also give the 3D Touch to one or both of its Nexus handsets this year. Yes, it has been a while since the last rumor saying that the company would release not one but up to two HTC-made Nexus smartphones in 2016. Well, we can’t wait to see what a press can do on an Android device. Excited?
Apart from the HTC Nexus, we are glad to know that many other famous firms will get this innovative functionality. Specifically, Xiaomi, Meizu, OPPO, and Vivo have been reported to be working on phones with pressure-sensing displays. If so, it seems like 3D Touch is going to be a basic, important spec on most Android handsets in late 2016. Yet, let’s wait and see!
Recap of 3D Touch
Just a quick recap of what 3D Touch is for you! Basically, it senses and differentiates “a soft and a hard touch.” You will have various options after touching a feature. For instance, once softly pressing the camera icon, you will see a list of frequently used actions (such as recording, sending a pic to someone, etc.) popping up. Then, if you press one of the options harder, it will work immediately.

Earlier, another source also claimed that, there will be an iPhone 7 “Plus” model that boasts up to 256GB ROM. Moreover, we had Samsung confirmed their working on developing a 256GB memory chip, making these information matched with each other, and making it very likely to have such a huge ROM for this awaited smartphone. However, no pricing details has been unveiled about these variants as well as their availability.
Talking about Apple iPhone 7 we know of today, it is expected to come with a brand new design that excludes the headphone jack and come with dual speakers instead. The phone is also said to have OLED display, 2GB RAM and powered by A9 processor. Recent leaks on iPhone 7 designs are keeping us more curious to see the real machine than ever.
