Microsoft Lumia 940 can sport 5.2″ display and 25MP Pureview camera?
After acquiring Nokia’s smartphone section, Microsoft have produced its several own Lumia smartphone (like the Lumia 640 and Lumia 540) but we haven’t seen a high-end device yet. Later this year, Microsoft reportedly introduce the flagship Lumia 940 to replace the current premium Nokia Lumia 930. One more model can be introduced together with the Microsoft Lumia 940 is a phablet Microsoft Lumia 940 XL.
We don’t know yet about the Lumia release date but we can guess some possible specs on the so-called Microsoft Lumia 940.
Speculated Microsoft Lumia 940 specs
Previous reports said the phone would pack a 5” display like its predecessor, the Lumia 930. However, the latest article on Nokia Power User mentioned that the Microsoft Lumia 940 would be shipped with a larger 5.2” display instead, while the Microsoft Lumia 940 XL display bump up to 5.7”. No hint on the resolution yet but it would be better to pack fHD resolution to an over-5-inch display these days.
We can hope the new Lumia smartphones will have at least octa-core CPU, 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. We will witness a huge change in shooting when a 24MP or 25MP Pureview main camera sticks to the back of the device. Front-facing camera on both Lumias will be updated to 5MP or 8MP.
New phones, new technique. Some other rumored features on the new Lumias include native pen support, iris scanning capabilities and 3D interactions. Next Lumias flagship should run on the new Windows 10, which is now available only as a Technical Preview.
In our thought, both new Microsoft Lumia940 and 940 XL release date are expected to appear no later than June 2015 when Microsoft allegedly debut the new Windows 10 OS. In the meantime, we have no idea how the phones will look like. Will they inherit the Lumia design? Or will they be distinctive?
Hopefully, Malaysia will be on top list of launching and the Lumia 940 prices are acceptable as well.

Xiaomi “i is coming” event is happening this Thursday, April 23th, in India to introduce a new global phone. Meanwhile here in Malaysia, we have spotted 2 flagship phones from Xiaomi on Malaysia’s SIRIM Certification database. Xiaomi did promise to bring the high-end smartphone Xiaomi Mi Note to Malaysia in Q2 2015 and the XIaomi MI Note has just passed the certification with model number 2015011. This model supports dual SIM and can operate on Malaysia’s local 1800MHz/2600MHz 4G LTE bands. A Similar model has been certified in Singapore under the name “Mi Note”.
The remaining model numbered 2014215, as we speculated, is no other than the Xiaomi Mi4 3G variant. Previously, Xiaomi stated that it has no plan bringing the Mi4 to Malaysia due to the lack of full 4G LTE support. Now, with 3G version, Xiaomi can still enter this potential market with the anticipated Mi4.

Xiaomi Mi4 Specs
As far as we are concerned about the Xiaomi Mi4 3G version, the phone sports similar specs except for a 5’ fHD display. Front camera and main camera are of 8Mp and 13MP, respectively and 3GB RAM. Both comes with aperture of f/1.8. In its homeland, China, there are several Mi4 versions but it seems like we are going to get the Unicom 3G unit. There are also reports on Xiaomi’s plan to launch a cheaper MI4 with only 2GB RAM instead of 3GB. For now, would you consider buying a phone without 4G LTE?
Xiaomi Mi Note Malaysia Hands On
It seems that Malaysia is finally getting the Xiaomi Mi Note and Xiaomi Mi4, both got SIRIM Certification already. As for the Xiaomi Mi Note Price in Malaysia we expect it to be around RM1350-1400. The Xiaomi Mi4 3G Price in Malaysia should sell at RM900-1000 to be competitive enough. Probably we still have to wait some time for the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro with 4GB RAM to come to Malaysia, it was not included in the SIRIM Certification yet.

The big question seems if Xiaomi can compete with those devices. Right now they are facing intense competition from the Asus Zenfone 2, especially in the 4GB RAM Version. The Asus Zenfone 2 4GB Price in Malaysia will be around RM1100, at better specs then the Xiaomi Mi Note.

Oneplus One cheaper version image leaked
Recently, we have heard about the cheaper alternative of the Oneplus but no further information can we explore how it look like or how powerful its specs are. Some posters on Weibo believed that the image below may probably the first leaked pic of the cheaper Oneplus alternative.
Oneplus is going to announce a new service of product under its brand. We do not know for sure whether it’s a service or a product but according to some reports, the company will be launching a cheaper version of the famous Oneplus One.
A famous tipster on Weibo has posted a photo of a phone to partly prove that these rumors is logical. The mysterious phone carries Oneplus One special design with a metal panel cover the main camera, single flash, plastic back and the power button on the right side of the device. The plastic back makes people believe that this is an entry-level smartphone.
To recap: Oneplus One specs:
- 5” fHD (1920×1080 pixels) LCD display
- Quad-core 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801
- 3GB RAM
- 13MP rear camera
- 3100 mAh battery
If this is the real cheaper alternative of the popular Oneplus One, which specifications can the phone feature? Probably the company will keep the same Snapdragon 801 chip but with lower 2GB Ram, we thought. Also, a 5” fHD display or a 5.5” fHD display can both be possible to appear in this model. In our opinion, the battery capacity can be reduced to 3000 mAh.
So far, the company hasn’t confirmed any information about the so-called Oneplus One cheaper version, or should we call it the Mini Oneplus One? Hopefully, Malaysia will be among the first markets to launch this device. Cheaper Oneplus One price in Malaysia is expected to make no big difference with other market.
Let us remind you, the specs of the mysterious phone are just our own viewpoint. If you have yours, please don’t hesitate to share with us in the comment below.

After the acquisition of Nokia and Alcatel on April 15, we are hoping to see the next generation of smartphone from Nokia, which used to be the biggest phone manufacturer in the world. On the main site of Nokia, the company emphasizes: “The combined company will be uniquely positioned to create the foundation of seamless connectivity for people and things wherever they are. “.

You can choose as many products as long as they total RM 3000 or less.
Lets use the prices at Lazada’s mobile phone Shop as a guide ( they have most selection), but dont get too much caught up into details – im really asking what phone you are desiring right now!
