Nokia 1 Xpress Music: 4K display, 21MP selfie

Let’s start with design: starting from the beginning of the year, we have seen that 2017 has been the year of bezel-less smartphones. This trend of display is looking to continue well into 2018. We can see this on the Nokia 1 Xpress Music’s concept design. It looks like it has a 5.7 inch Super IPS LCD 4K display, with a display ratio which looks like it might be closer to a square shape, possibly a great design for photography lovers. The designers have also included a variety of colors, with a soft pastel range going between a grey, a soft reddish pink, and a lavender purple look.

Looking past the design, on the back you can see the cameras look pretty great. For the two cameras, we have a main camera on the back with 42MP rear shooter. It is amazingly integrated with the design of the back, which has a great sanded metal look. On the front, the camera sports a 21MP selfie snapper, which looks really small. Keeping it this small likely helped with having such a large bezel-less display. You can also see speakers at the top of the phone, which could have great sound.

Other specs include 8GB of RAM, and of course a Snapdragon 835 chipset which helps to run this device. This chipset is helped with the Android Oreo operating system (version 8.0), which makes sense since it’s due to be released before 2018. It also includes 128GB of internal storage, and has the ability to upgrade to 256GB with an SDcard slot. There doesn’t seem to be any visible scanning area for some fingerprint scanning security. However, there is plenty of space at the back of the phone, where it could be added in a future concept design.

All in all the rumors sound exciting, especially when looking at the rumored design.
