Thanks to TENAA and 3C-Leaks, we have information about a new smartphone – the Meizu M5S. The Chinese company has sent invitations for an event that will take place on January 27. Will it be presented on that date? Let’s have a look at its specs and features.

Nice Entry-Level-Smartphone

According to Meizu’s recently leaked roadmap for 2017 the company plans to reveal six new mobile devices in this year. One of them will be the Meizu M5S, another great smartphone of the M5 series from the house of the Chinese phone maker with amazing features and specs for an affordable price. Perfect for beginners!

The new Meizu M5S which looks like the little brother of the recently launched M5 Note has a 5.2 inches HD, 720 x 1280 pixels IPS LCD display with a density of 282 pixels per inch. The capacitive touch screen reacts well to multi-touch and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. Additionally, the Meizu M5S measures 148.2 x 72.53 x 8.4 mm with a total weight of 138 g and will be available in the beautiful four color options silver, gray, gold and rose gold.

Under the hood, the dual SIM Meizu M5S is powered by a 1,3 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750 SoC processor and comes in three versions 2/3/4 GB RAM paired with 16/32/64 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128 GB by using microSD. It runs on Android OS v6.0 Marshmallow and is powered by a 2930 mAh battery.To shoot nice pictures the company provided its M5S with a 13-megapixel rear camera which comes with autofocus, dual LED flash, ISO control, and High Dynamic Range mode combined with a 5-megapixel front facing camera.

Unfortunately, we have no information about the exact price of that device, but we already know it will be an affordable mid-range phone. We are looking forward to January 27 and we hope that the Meizu M5S will be revealed that day!
