Last month, the Chinese manufacturer launched three new Mi 9 models, including the standard Mi 9, Mi 9 SE, and Mi 9 Explorer Edition in its home country. Recently, we got the information about three upcoming phones codenamed “pyxis”, “bamboo_sprout”, and “cosmos_ sprout”. In details, while the latter two work on Android One (Xiaomi Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite), the “pyxis” should be the next Xiaomi Mi 9X which is a toned-down variant like the Xiaomi Mi 6X.

As per the listing, Xiaomi Mi 9X specs flaunt a large 6.4-inch AMOLED display with Full HD resolution. Furthermore, this phone features a waterdrop notch and under-display fingerprint scanner. Otherwise, the Xiaomi Mi 9X camera rocks a triple rear camera. It consists of a 48MP main sensor, along with a 13MP wide lens and an 8MP telephoto sensor. On its front, this phone offers a single 32MP front-facing shooter for taking selfies and video calling.

On the other hand, in terms of the hardware department, the Mi 9X gets power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC, paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. Moreover, the Xiaomi phone also supports the MicroSD card to expand the storage. Talking about the operating system, the Mi 9X runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box with MIUI 10 on top of it. Keeping the lights on is a non-removable 3300mAh battery cell with 18W fast charging support.
