Xiaomi Mi 7 and Xiaomi Mi 7 Plus: what’s new?

Previously, Xiaomi has introduced the Xiaomi Mi 6 handset with great design and impressive specs. However, due to a shortage of the Snapdragon 835 chipsets, it took Xiaomi a while to release the Mi 6’s greater variant: Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus. It seems like Xiaomi wants to change the game! With the release of Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, this Chinese brand is now ready to introduce the Xiaomi Mi 7 and its higher version Xiaomi Mi 7 Plus! Xiaomi Mi 7 specs feature a 5.65-inch IPS LCD touchscreen. Moreover, Xiaomi Mi 7 Plus specs sport a 6.1-inch IPS LCD display. Both screens have the resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and 16:9 ratio. Under the hood, both Xiaomi Mi 7 and Xiaomi Mi 7 Plus run on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. Regarding the storage, Xiaomi Mi 7 has two RAM variants: 4GB RAM/6GB RAM with two ROM versions: 64GB/128GB. On the other hand, Xiaomi Mi 7 Plus only have 6GB RAM, but bigger ROM variants of 128GB/256GB.

Regarding the photography, we expect both Xiaomi handsets to sport a dual camera system of 12MP (f/1.8, 27mm, 1/2.9″, 1.25 µm, 4-axis OIS) + 12MP (f/2.6, 52mm, 1 µm). There is also an 8MP secondary selfie snapper. Besides, Xiaomi Mi 7 has a 3.200mAh battery capacity. On the other hand, the Mi 7 Plus comes with a 3.500mAh juice box.

From the report, Xiaomi has set the Xiaomi Mi 7 release date in March 2018, together with Xiaomi Mi 7 Plus. Moreover, Xiaomi Mi 7 price begins at $408 (RM. 1664).
