However, recently, Samsung has released a profit report which proved them wrong.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, Samsung&#8217;s shares increased 8.7%, which is said to be the biggest jump since 2009. Though the whole results were not totally announced, just looking at the\u00a0operating income that rose to $6.3 billion can tell how great the company has done. That is a HUGE 79.8% jump if compared to\u00a0the same period last year. Good job, Samsung!<\/p>\n<p>In addition, semiconductors and displays are the ones that help Samsung become so strong. They contributed much to the success of many recent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricepony.com.my\/blog\/best-samsung-galaxy-note-5-s6-edge-telco-plan-in-malaysia\/\" target=\"_blank\">Samsung Galaxy flagships <\/a>that are competing well with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricepony.com.my\/blog\/apple-iphone-6s-plus-battery-can-live-as-long-as-samsung-galaxy-note-5\/\" target=\"_blank\">Apple iPhones<\/a> together with\u00a0Chinese and Indian devices. Moreover, the\u00a0semiconductor business of Samsung is gaining profits from providing components for Apple iDevices. And this time, Samsung will be able to see the year-on-year rise for the first time in sever quarters.<\/p>\n<p>However, that is for the third quarter of 2015 when <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricepony.com.my\/blog\/samsung-galaxy-note5-launched-4gb-ram-exynos-7420-chip\/\" target=\"_blank\">Samsung Galaxy Note 5<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricepony.com.my\/blog\/samsung-galaxy-s6-edge-plus-equipped-with-4gb-of-ram-exynos-7420\/\" target=\"_blank\">S6 edge Plus <\/a>were launched one month earlier than Apple iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. In addition, Samsung smartphones have to fight with many\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricepony.com.my\/blog\/top-chinese-producers-and-their-best-smartphones-2k-screen-4gb-ram-and-8mp-selfie-cam\/\" target=\"_blank\">high-end but cheaper\u00a0handsets and low-end ones from Chinese<\/a> and Indian makers. Note that the sub-$200 phones are mainly\u00a0responsible for increasing the sales<\/p>\n<p>Apart from such an impressive report, we wonder if Samsung can continue to do that in this Q4 once <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricepony.com.my\/blog\/samsung-galaxy-s6-mini-4-6-inches-appeared-on-gfxbench\/\" target=\"_blank\">Samsung\u00a0Galaxy S6<\/a> shipments are dropping <em>&#8220;significantly&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0according to an IBK Securities analyst.
