Though both handsets feature under-screen sensor, Vivo V8 Plus also packs Facial Unlock based on higher camera quality and the better chipset.

Under the hood, Vivo V8 specs include an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 chipset and 6GB RAM. Meanwhile, Vivo V8+ sports an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset and massive 8GB RAM. Both handsets come with 64GB ROM, which is expandable to 256GB via microSD card slot. Vivo V8 battery is 3500mAh, while Vivo V8 Plus battery provides 3800mAh. Also, both handsets run Android Oreo 8.0 out-of-the-box.

For the cameras, Vivo V8 sports dual 24MP+16MP rear cameras with an aperture of f/1.7. On the other hand, Vivo V8 Plus owns dual 28MP+16MP primary shooters with an aperture of f/1.7. Moreover, both handsets offer single 28MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/1.8. Their selfie cameras of both handsets feature Moonlight selfie and Face Beauty when having video call while supports Face Unlock in Vivo V8+.
