Apple might be announcing two new iPhone 6 variants as early as June on the WWDC. There have been a lot of rumors about two new versions of the iPhone 6, one 4.7 inch and one 5.5 inch. We have for you 10 things you should know about the launch.

Apple as a company is famous for its secrecy and top secret product innovations. The more surprisingly it is that all of their flagship products like the Apple Iphone 6 have a very strong track record of being leaked before launch. Websites like 9-5Mac are very well sourced and Wall Street Journal or lowyat have a long history of pre launch leaks. From the iPad Air to the Iphone 5s, and surely the Iphone 6, very few products have been a complete surprise in the past.

That basically means that month before Tim Cook will officially present what the next Iphone 6 will look like, we probably have a pretty good idea about the specs and the design of the new device. There is naturally a lot of rumours and speculations about the Iphone 6, but some of them are so consistent, that there is probably some truth to them. Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.

For sure nothing its set in stone till the actual launch date of the Iphone 6 and normally Apple hides some of the last facts and will surprise us again (hopefully). Nonetheless here are the most probable and interesting facts about the next Iphone 6 before it launches in Malaysia.

 

Probably there will be more then one iphone 6. According to most rumors Apple is finally reacting to the market demand for bigger display sizes. Most Sources say that there will be two variants to the next iphone 6, one 4.7 inch version and the other one in phablet size, with 5.5 inch screen. Last leaked iphone 6 pictures showed models that look very similiar to the latest iPod touch and iPad Air designs variants.

The smartphones look to be thinner than ever before, maybe even as little as 6mm thick. Also it seems that the new Iphone 6 probably has a more rounded look and not anymore the squared sides from the 5s. One of the most popular pictures shows silver, gold and space gray models with an aluminium back, broken up only by horizontal stripes for the antennas.

 

Since Apple introduced new sapphire production processes, it could be also that the new iPhone has new types of displays additionally to the new buttons and lenses. Some sources say there will be more curved displays, but this rumour is highly fought over.

If we look at Apples launch history the Iphone 5s will most likely still stay on Sales, and we didnt hear yet about Apple replacing it with an a newer device of the same 4 inch size. If Apple brings out something truly innovative with the Iphone 6 they going to have a very hot product on their hands and the leverage to raise their prices again.

The Iphone 6 could come very early. The WWDC, Apple’s largest developer conference is already in one month. In Apple tradition the WWDC would be the place to announce the newest iPhone and many wondering if we could have facts as early as in one month. Rumours are divided when it comes to the launch at the WWDC. Some suppliers and analysts say the WWDC is going to be the reveal date, some others say its going to be August. Also there are some rumors about production problems with the 5.5 inch iphone 6 and it might be pushed back till early 2015. The most talked about feature of the new iPhone 6 is its amazing new camera. Apple has a history of investing huge resources into improving their cameras. Their latest hire what Ari Partinen, which is the great mind and engineer behind the Nokia Lumia cameras. Although he is very new to Apple he might have some great impact on the camera for the new Apple smartphones.

Even more significant, is that Apple filed a patent specifically for its new camera. Apparently its a kind of image stabilization that will increase the pixel in the 8 Megapixel sensor. As well there is a “Super Resolution Mode” in the coming version for the apple camera application. All this could be a marketing strategy, but it seems that Apple is really working on something innovative and cool for its new iPhone 6 camera.

One of the most interesting new features from Apple is what they will be able to do with the fingerprints. By now Apple owns almost 800 million iTunes accounts and several hundred million credit cards on file. This could mean that Apple will launch a larger option for users to buy online on their Apple devices. Apple would create a competitor for Paypal and Google Wallet and maybe they are launching already next to the iPhone 6. And why not, after revolutionizing the complete music industry with ITunes and dominating the Smartphone market, why not getting into online payments. They would have a very strong advantage with Apples TouchID, if users can pay with their fingerprint, that would make the payments secure and easy. And if they create Pay with iTunes, that could be the next huge revenue driver for Apple, since online payment companies like paypal normally take a small cut of every online transaction .

The iPhone 6 will be utilize iOS 8. iOS 8 will with a very high probability be announced on the coming WWDC next month. It will have a new number of new features and applications as well as an enhanced iOS 7 design. This split-screen multitasking feature will finally allow iPad users to run and interact with two different apps at the same time. Up until now all apps available on the App Store haven been only individually usable in full-screen mode.

This Multitasking feature, which is already popular on Microsofts Surface has been asked for a long time by iPad users. Apart from allowing to use two apps at the same time, it will make it more easy for two apps to interact. So Users might be able to drag content much more easy from one app to another, like videos, pictures or text – very helpful. This might be very good news for iOS developers, since apple might enable “XPC” (improved inter-app communication) support and developers could finally apps to share content for iOS.

 

The Iphone 6 might launch with the long rumored Smartwatch. Healthbook would be a natural complementary for the iWatch, because many rumors say that the iWatch is going to be mainly health focused anyways. We discovered a few leaked screenshots that showed a Watch Utility app, but there is only a slim chance that the name or app design are final.

Right now it seems that the iWatch is going to be a companion to the new iPhone 6 and not really a standalone device. It would make sense to announce and launch them at the same time. By judging how long the iWatch has been rumored though, it is not yet really safe to assume that Tim Cook will be announcing the iWatch soon.
The rumors about the new iPhone 6 have been there for a few month and the ones about thew new health device from apple the iWatch even longer. Right now nothing is for 100% certain, since there is still a difference between a leak and the official launch. In 2014 there are still a lot of questions left, but the next big thing is going to happen very soon. Maybe as soon as next month Apple could launch the iPhone 6 for Malaysia.
