After Huawei Mate 8, the Chinese brand has been working on their new flagship – Huawei Mate 9. Back in April, the phone has been leaked with Kirin 960 chipset in tow (according to an analyst Pan Jiutang). At the recent reports, the phone supposedly comes in three variants of memories: 4GB RAM+64GB ROM, 4GB RAM+128GB ROM and 6GB RAM+256GB ROM. So, this will be the first time Huawei bring users a 6GB RAM smartphone.

One of the most highlighted features of Huawei Mate 9 specs is the camera. It has a 20MP main camera assisted by OIS, phase detection autofocus, and dual-LED flash. Along with it is an 8MP front camera for selfies. In terms of other specs, both three variants of Huawei Mate 9 will come with 5.9-inch full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It will be running on Android 7.0 out of the box, with Huawei’s Emotion UI 5 on top. The battery of the phone has not been announced, but it is expected to have at least 4000 mAH cell.

Compared to its predecessor – Huawei Mate 8 – from last year, the new Mate 9 gets some enhanced features. First, the phone runs on a newer Android 7.0 while Android 6.0 is on Huawei Mate 8. Besides, under the hood, Huawei Mate 9 is powered by the stronger processor: Krin 960 while Huawei Mate 8 is powered by Krin 950.

As the report suggested, Huawei Mate 9 released date is confirmed to be in November. As for Huawei Mate 9 price, three variants will have different prices. The first version with 4 GB RAM and 64GB ROM is priced at $510 (~RM. 2110). The second version with 4GB and 128 GB ROM is priced at $585 (~RM. 2420). Finally, the most powerful version with 6 GB RAM and 256 GB is priced at $705 (~RM. 2916). Those prices are for the Chinese market.
