Samsung’s tradition of releasing their flagships with different processors depending on markets is a well-known fact. We’ve seen the benchmark scores of the Galaxy S8 with Snapdragon 835 before. The device scored 1929 points in single-threaded tests and 6084 under multi-core loads. But now, a new leak on GeekBench has showed the result of the S8 with Exynos 8895 chipset. The result is amazing. And now, Galaxy S8 is officially the fastest phone on the planet.

The device scores 1978 points in single-threaded tests and 6375 under multi-core loads. By looking at the mere numbers, it’s obvious the Exynos 8895 outperforms the Snapdragon 835 by few points in single-core operations and slightly more in multi-core loads. Furthermore, we can also see how the Samsung Exynos 8895 scores more than the multi-core beast Huawei Mate 9 with the Kirin 960. However, in the single-core test, the Galaxy S8 is till far below the iPhone 7 Plus with the score of 3473.

In terms of Galaxy S8 specs, the phone will have a 5.8″ 2K display with a Snapdragon 835 octa-core under the hood. The phone will also offer 4GB RAM and 64/128GB ROM. As for Galaxy S8 cameras, the device is mounted with a 12MP f/1.7 back snapper and an 8MP f/1.7 selfie shooter. It will be powered by a non-removable 3000mAh battery.
