Sony Xperia Z4 Benchmark: 5.1″ display, Snapdragon 810, and 20MP camera

It’s been 6 months since the high-end smartphone Sone Xperia Z3 was first released. There are plenty of predictions about the upcoming Z series phone, the Z4. Recently, a GFXBench test on a Sony product coded E6553 has been released. This product can possibly the next Z series, the Sony Xperia Z4.

It seems like Sony is not willing to enter the resolution race on the smartphone. The company is still loyal to 5.1-inch display with a standard, 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. According to the GFXBench’s result, the unknown device from Sony is powered by a 64-bit, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with four ARM Cortex-A57 and four Cortex-A53 cores, Adreno 430 graphics, 3 gigs of RAM, and 32GB of storage. The device is also enclosed with a 20MP main camera and 5MP front-facing shooter.

Not so long before, the metal frame of the Z4 was leaked as well, where stated that the Z4 would be 1mm thinner than its predecessor.

Back to the reason why this code-named Sony E6553 can be the Xperia Z4. It is pretty easy. First of all, the hardware or the spec gets what it takes to be a flagship device we are all waiting for in 2015. Secondly, the code name itself gives us some clues for guessing. There must not be an incident that the capital letter in the front of is in alphabetical order, which can stand for the year of manufacturing. For instance, the Sony Xperia Z was coded C6603 and launched in 2012. We had the letter C. The Xperia Z3, coded D6603, got released in 2014. We had the letter D. Now, the unknown device gives us the letter E. Is there any connection between these letters?

Two reasons above suggest that what we are expecting for can be logically the specs coming from the new Z4.
