Snapdragon 821 revealed: powerful performance

Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 is officially confirmed. This processor giving the better performance is a slight version of Snapdragon 820. And you will see this chipset in some flagships at the end of this year.

Snapdragon 821: a slight version of SND 820

Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 is now the most powerful processor at the moment. Once a phone owns this feature, it will become one of the hottest smartphones on the market. There’ve been many flagships from different brands are equipped with Snapdragon 820 chipset. Xiaomi Mi 5, LeEco Le Max, HTC 10, Galaxy S7 Edge and LG G5 are some examples. And now Qualcomm company officially announces a higher version of this processor- Qualcomm Snapdragon 821.

This processor is a slight upgrade version of 820. This means it will run slightly more efficient and faster than its predecessor for about 10%. So, let’s see the improvements of the newest product from Qualcomm. The CPU in SND 820 is clocked at 2 x 2.2 GHz in the high performance and 2 x 1.6 GHz in low performance. Those clock speeds are 2 x 2.4 GHz and 2 x 2 GHz respectively in SND 821. While the GPU of 820 works at 624 MHz, this speed is approximately 650 MHz in 821.

With this new version of SND 820, the phones will have a better performance and run smoothly. Not only to smartphones, Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 will also be applied to the other new devices like  mobile VR head mounted display. This is not the first time the company brought a slight version based on the old processor. Qualcomm used to upgrade Snapdragon 800 to Snapdragon 801.

Snapdragon 821: which phone will feature this?

You won’t have to wait too long because this chipset will be seen in H2 of 2016. And you can find this 821 on some flagships.
