OnePlus 6T flagship confirmed

For the last few weeks, the next OnePlus flagship smartphone might feature a fingerprint reader embedded inside the display. In details, an alleged OnePlus 6T retail box had been leaked online last week. As we learned, the information reveals a waterdrop notch and an on-screen fingerprint sensor. Moreover, OnePlus today officially confirmed to CNET that the OnePlus 6T ships with an on-screen fingerprint sensor.

According to OnePlus, the handset can be unlocked multiple times a day. Moreover, Screen Unlock reduces the number of steps to complete the action. Furthermore, adding more display unlocking options such as Face Unlock, users could choose the most efficient alternative to unlock the display. Also, OnePlus 6T has a slightly tweaked design compared to the OnePlus 6 thanks to the in-display fingerprint scanner.

Regarding OnePlus 6T specs, the handset debuts with a larger 6.4-inch Optic AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch. Also, OnePlus 6T gets power from the 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. Moreover, OnePlus 6T might be available in 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM. Besides, other variants include 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM and 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM, alongside Snapdragon 845 SoC. Concerning the optics, OnePlus 6T features a triple 12MP (f/1.5) +20MP (f/2.4) + a depth sensor (AF) at the rear and 16MP selfie lens. Also, the OnePlus 6T supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy. Regarding the software, the OnePlus 6T no doubt ships with the Android 9 Pie. Whereas, OnePlus 6T specs include a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 6. Also, the smartphone provides a 3700mAh battery and wireless charging.

As you can see from the screenshot, OnePlus will be launching the 6T on Wednesday, October 17th. Besides, the sale comes soon after the official announcement on October 17 in key markets such as India. Moreover, the OnePlus 6T price starts at Rm. 1,999 for 128GB variant, and Rm. 2,513 for 256GB storage version.
