Huawei – NO. 1 Chinese smartphone manufacturer to defeat Apple or Samsung in 2018?

2015 was a great year for Huawei when they released many powerful and beautiful smartphones and increased their sale in total. Moreover, Huawei even beat Xiaomi to become the number one smartphone manufacturer, if you remember. As a result, many people feel excited when there is information related to a new Huawei product leaked somewhere. Their current situation as well future seems bright. Yet, what is their real plan for the next years?

According to recent news, Huawei has been preparing a plan to take over the place of either Apple or Samsung by the end of 2018 and CEO Richard Yu claimed this when presenting at CES 2016. The company is being the third biggest one in the world, but now they are aiming at being the second one, which is possible as Mr. Yu demonstrated that Huawei was able to post a 70% increase in revenue year on year, so they could continue doing it or even more.

At the moment, Huawei is having a 76% brand awareness, which means people can easily recognize the brand more nowadays. 76% is an awesome number if compared to their 3% in 2011. Besides, people also become better at pronouncing “Huawei”. We guess Mr. Yu did not know this. Anyhow, congratulate Huawei on what you’ve got so far!

Huawei’s upcoming smartphones to show that they can do it

As we know, almost all of Huawei handsets are powered by Huawei’s own HiSilicon Kirin chip, which is said to be cooler and faster than Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. And the latest one is Kirin 950, which is the main chipset of the flagship Huawei Mate 8 and will run Huawei P9 in the near future.
