Google Nexus 6 Specs Comparison – Best Flagship 2014?

Nexus_6_Launch

It seems like 2014 is really the rise of the Phablets. It has just been a few weeks since Samsung and Apple launched their big new phablets Galaxy Note 4 and iPhone 6 Plus and now its Google’s turn. Google just presented their new Nexus 6 phone to the world – and its a beauty!

As we expected Google announced the Nexus 6 together with the Nexus 9 tablet made by HTC. Quite surprisingly with 6inch, the Nexus 6 is the biggest Nexus phone we have seen so far. The Google Nexus Line has always been about the newest specs and an affordable price and it seems the Nexus 6 will be still part of that! Lets have a look at the Specs!

Nexus6-Launch

The new Galaxy Nexus 6 comes with the newest Snapdragon 805 clocked at 2.7 GHZ and 3GB of RAM. The Snapdragon 805 comes with Adreno 420 GPU and the Snapdragon 805 might just be the most powerful processor at the moment available in the market. So far only the Note 4 sports the Snapdragon 805, and we can truly say its a Powerhouse. Also it sports the brand new Android Lollipop

The Galaxy Nexus 6 also sports a 5.96 inch screen, with a Quad HD 2K resolution of 1440 x 2560p. The pixel density is at 493ppi. With nearly 6 inch the Nexus 6 is quite huge, make no mistake. But as the Galaxy Note Series showed us, huge phones have definitely their benefits. For once the Google Nexus 6 will make for an extremely high speced portable tablet, which is pocketable at the same time.

The most intersting question is though how does the Nexus 6 compare to other Phablets and Flagships in the market 2014? Especially compared to the Galaxy Note 4 and iPhone 6 Plus?

The Google Nexus 6 has very similiar Specs to the Galaxy Note 4 but it quite a lot cheaper! So see who will be the real Flagship Champion 2014?

Nexus 6 vs Note 4 Specs Comparison
We compare the Google Nexus 6 vs Galaxy Note 4 vs iPhone 6 Plus vs OnePlus One

In terms of specs the Google Nexus 6, it seems that just the Note 4 can keep up with the Google Nexus 6, while the Nexus 6 comes with a much better pricing.

Especially the combination of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 at 2.7 Ghz, Adreno 420 and 3GB of RAM make the Nexus 6 a real Powerhouse. Both the Note 4 and the Galaxy Nexus 6 have nearly identical Specs up to the battery at 3220 mAh. The Nexus 6 has a quick charging feature, and Google says the battery will take only 15minutes to be fully charged. The Note 4 sports a slightly better camera combination though at 16MP and 3.6MP for Selfie Cam vs 13MP (f/2.0 sensor) and 2MP on the Nexus 6.

Motorola-Nexus-6

If you like phablets, on the lower end, the OnePlus One might be interesting for you. It sells at an price of just 300USD (1100RM) for a 5.5 inch Full HD display, 3GB of RAM and the older, but powerful Snapdragon 801. The Problem with chinese smartphones like the OnePlus One and Xiaomi Mi4 is the availability though. While the Nexus 5 and we believe the Nexus 6 is easily available with guaruantee, its quite hard to buy the OnePlus One. Often people have to go through resellers with limited guaruantee.
